Drag and relate filter on AP Invoices not showing post dates past Dec2010

Hello experts,
Using the following version: 2007A (8.00.178) SP:00, PL:44
The customer is getting the following issue.
In drag and relate bringing up AP Invoices, the latest AP invoice is for 21/01/2011. When the customer tries to filter by posting date, the drop down list of dates only goes down to 27/12/2010.
Using drag and relate for other documents such as the credit notes this issue is not seen and the date goes into 2011.
Can anyone tell me how I can solve this issue or if this is a bug with the version the customer is using ?

Hi Andy,
It might be version related. Try on a high version. PL44 is too low.
Check period indicator too.

A simple question about Drag and Relate navigation

Dear experts
I have found SAP help or related manuals only good at talking difficult things such as how to customise the drag and relate targets, etc. However, after I followed exactly and then how to test.
Then I just see pieces of information, very unstructured. Spending me a whole day, even I can't get a good simple example on how to really perform a drag and relate at least for the proof of concept at EP 6.0. It spent a lot of time in describing what the navgiation panels about, what drag and relate targets. Then how to do it in once transversal. That is, with all customisation, how to drag and relate an object.
My step is with iview A, shows a purchase order details showing a drag and relate enabled object like vendor no.
Then I try to drag this vendor no. to a display vendor iview, iview B.
I have known I have to put iview A and iview B to a Drag-and-relate targets. I am sure I have done this. Does it mean opening the portal, I will see both iview A and iview B appearing at the same time in the drag-and-relate target area? However, in my case, it is not, iview A only appears in that area when I load it once, same to view B. When I load iview B, iview A links from D&R target will be wiped off. Then how I can drag an item from iview A to B while each one of them can only appear at any time.
Can anyone give me a simple guide (don't give me an internet link from help.com) I have been tired of this.
First, I would to make sure if my so called self-learnt drag-and-relate simple action is correct in the steps or really I have made something wrong in the customisation or even a bug there.
Can anyone on the planet have this experience, pls. act as my teacher in this area?

I have tried the 1st way already. But I can see both iviews existing in the D & R targets. Now I try to drag an item with business object BUS2002 from iview A to relate to LFA1 of iview B of the same back end system.
But iview B shown up with that data of LFA1 shown up (in my case the vendor no.)
I have used autocomplete relationship and I have checked it has been well-defined already. Also check from metadata at backend they are both active.
Do you have any clues to the pitfall in my case?

Hi Sriram,
Mobile component changed to .Net in 5.0 so the first upgrade of support packages should not be a problem. Your only concern will be the rollout of the support package upgrade to the users in the field.
I don't know much about the upgrade from 4.0 to 7.0 and the complications around the custom code migration from vb to .net. I imagine this is something you may need to talk to SAP about.
Depending on the amount of work involved it may be easy to upgrade the CRM system and do a re-implementation of the mobile component.

Drag and relate from User query not working as expected

Hi All,
Could anyone shed some light on why using drag and relate from a user query is not working for me?
Drag and relate works well from all system generated queries, but not from my user queries.
For example:
- System query/report - running a system stock report and dragging the 'Item number' field result to a D&R Sales Order generates a report of all Sales Orders for the selected Item Number. As expected - success.
- User Query - running a item lookup report from a user generated query and then D&R to Sales order for the selected Item Number does not work. Error = 'No matching records found (ODBC -2028) [message 131-183]
Any ideas?

I believe Drag and relate only works for system form. The whole function is hard coded. It will not work for any queries including system queries.

Unable to print from drag and relate

Hello,
In SAP version 2007 you were able to print from the AR invoice details window in the drag and relate menu. In 8.8 it seems you are no longer able to do this even when logged in as a superuser. Has anyone come across this before please?

UI use my field for drag and relate

Hi.
I am not able to use my own fields I created via UI for drag and relate.
I can hold the left mousebutton pressed on the field but I don't get the
border around the field to drag it.
I know that this is currently not supported by the SDK.
Can you please implement this?

My suggestion is to move you entire home directory on to the hdd and leave the ssd for the os and your key applications.

Hello Laurent,
The Drag-and-Relate reports are pretty much static. Changes to this report is not possible.
The queries are in-build and so are the formats and display columns.
The only think you could do is use the filter to filter the results conditionally.

Drag and Drop an Attached AutoCad File in a PDF Portfolio to and Open Drawing in AutoCad

I currently Printed all my Details to PDF and combined them all into a catalog to view them. I them attached all the AutoCad files to the PDF. I can open the AutoCad file in the pdf, but it will open it as a new drawing int AutoCad. I would like to Drag and drop from the PDF file to a drawing that is already opened in AutoCad. Any suggestions?

How do I drag and drop an attachment into a Gmail message I am composing?

I just installed Firefox 4.0 onto a newer notebook PC. It doesn't behave the same as Firefox 3.6.16 on my older notebook PC.
I use Google mail a lot. On my old machine, whenever I am composing an email all I have to do is drag and drop a file's icon and that file becomes an attachment to the email that I am composing. This is a *** GREAT *** feature !!! When I drag the icon over the composing window, a green stripe appears just below the To: information, and I drop the icon anywhere within that stripe.
If there was anything I had to do to setup that feature, I sure don't remember what it was. On 4.0 on my new machine, no green stripe appears and dropping doesn't work. On the same Gmail account on my old machine, drag and drop still works.
Can anyone help?

Hi everybody,
I want to create an iView which includes a link for Drag&Relate to make this iView Drag-enabled. We are using EP 6.0 SP7 (Netweaver '04). In the guide about unification there is mentioned the method "generateDNRUrl" of the Service "IURLGeneratorService". Has anybody used that? I found no javadocs or further documentations about Service. It would be very nice if someone could post some sample code about how to use that method.

I am experiencing the same problem when relating a SAP R/3 System to a web target (Google Search Form). (I also related a JDBC database to the web target and encountered the same problem)

Drag and Relate cannot work

When I open BP Master Data and try to drag Customer Code to Sales Order the following message appears : No Matching Record found "(SDRO) (ODBC -2028) [Message 131-183].
Actually these record should be exist.
Currenty use SAP 2005 A SP01 PL46.

Please make sure to choose collation setting of: SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS when installing MSSQL 2005 Server.
In order to check what the collation is set to in your server, please
run the following query:
Collation of your Server:
select SERVERPROPERTY ('collation')
Expected answer : SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
Change the Collation Setting on the MSSQL Master Database only whenthe MSSQL Server is effectedby Note 987436
In case you have already installed the MSSQL 2005 server with anycollation other than SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS please follow thesteps below:
1.Run the following query on the master database to check what collation you are using .
select SERVERPROPERTY ('collation')
2.It should be
SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS(if you get the above then the collation is correct , otherwise please proceed as follows)
3.Backup SBO-Common & Company DB's and de-attach them from the SQL server.
4.Insert the SQL 2005 CD in the drive.
5.Go to start run and type in the following path.
Start/Run C:\Temp_install\SQL2005\SQLEVAL\Servers\setup.exe /qb
INSTANCENAME=MSSQLSERVERREINSTALL=SQL_Engine
REBUILDDATABASE=1 SAPWD=*****
SQLCOLLATION=SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
6. Run 1st query from to double check that you have the correct collation.
7. Attach the SBO-Common.
8. Attach Company DB
C:\Temp_install\SQL2005\SQLEVAL = this represents the path to the SQL Server installation files, so please change to your appropriate path!
INSTANCENAME=MSSQLSERVER = This is the default instance,if you have another instance please change it here!
SAPWD=***** = Change to your SA passwordhere!

Drag and Drop Mail attachment won't work stable since 10.9

Hi,
this problem occurred on my system after upgrading from 10.8 to 10.9 and is still present under 10.10.2 (besides the well known WIFI issues that weren't cured at all with 10.10.1 nor 10.10.2)
After some time of work, I'm not able to copy attachments from mails into new mails or in finder by simply dragging. The mouse cursor won't grab the files any more as if this feature was never present.Restarting Mail.app will help for some time but the error reappears.
I've checked system.log and was able to identify the following log as soon as the bug appears.

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
A folder window will open. Inside it there should be files with names as follows:
Envelope Index
ExternalUpdates.storedata
Move those files to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have longer names that begin as above. Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is damaged and that Mail has to quit. Click OK. Typically, the process takes a few minutes, but it may take hours if you have gigantic mailboxes. In that case, you may be able to speed things up by temporarily adding your home folder to the Privacy list in the Spotlight preference pane. Remove it when Mail has finished importing.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the files you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.
