we are looking for a way to look up drawings not related to looking up by change numbers.

Hi,
We have two option on attaching the document to WBS element.
1. CV01N create a document and attach a file, in the object links assign the respective WBS element. On executing the CV04N with the WBS element, you will be able to find the list of available documents.
2. Through services of Objects, but if you attach it here you cannot obtain the attachment by any direct transaction or table. You need to built a customer functionality to identify it. Please find below thread for more information

Missing Filter HUD for a specific project

I have one project in which I cannot get the Filter HUD to appear. When I click on the icon, nothing happens. It works fine for my other projects. I've repaired the database and permissions, but this did not solve the problem. Any ideas?

The issue resolved itself, somehow. It is now working.

Imovie won't let me "export as quicktime". It is only for one specific project, all others work fine

In our client we have different projects and responsible persons also different. How can I restrict other persons not to see the details of another project.

The items that are in the GL do not have a path back to Projects.
However we always handled the O/H by applying an O/H rate to each project based on labor. If you used an indirect profit center you could allocate based on each direct profit centers labor costs.

Set different System Prefs for specific projects?

What I need to be able to do is to maintain everything about a client project in one place. We use a different drive for each client, that way everything is kept very orderly and we can easily manage it.
But if I set the system prefs (like where to save render files, capture scratch, etc.) for one project, those settings are saved even when another project is opened and I have to remember to change them or I'll get render files from Client A saved to Client B's drive.
And of course the problem is even worse with multiple projects open.
So, is there any way to say: Save Everything about this project HERE and Everything about this other project over HERE? And not have to manually change system prefs every single time?

I simply created three different users for three diffrent projects when specifically requested to meet such odd and onerous and unnecessary (in my view) requirements. That way each project could be assigned its own preferences for such things as targets for scratch etc. I find the FCP file management system more than adequate to quickly keep crucial original files in order without resorting to the log in/out user dance, but its the only thing I could come up with at the time. Maybe someone else has an easy cure.

Harvesting Projects Providing Access to Users for specific projects OER

Hello Everyone,
I am working on OER. I have to implement some requirements as follows:-
1. When I am harvesting the project, all the files of that project are harvested in the OER. I want to harvest in a Specific Project that I have created earlier in OER or with the same Project name that I am harvesting. Is it possible???
2. Suppose I have created a user named Arpit which is assigned User role in OER console. User role is provided access to view,edit,create Project. So Arpit can be able to view,edit,create all the projects in OER. But my requirement is that I want to provide access only to a specific project which are assigned to Arpit. Is it possible in OER?
Please provide any suggestions on above points.

Can you access the PDP section under the server settings and try to open the PDPs (choose the ones associated with the EPTs of the projects)? Is it successful?
Then edit and save them without changing anything to see if it helps.

Unable To Load Specific Project

Dear all,
I seriously need help here. I've been working on a project for a few weeks and just a day ago while i was halfway working on it, iMovie'09 exited unexpectedly. When i relaunch, i've been having problem loading this specific project. It kept having the spinning icon on the preview window and stays that way forever.
I have no problem loading other projects. What could've happened?? I can't afford to redo the entire project as it is a real pain to do so! I could remember the last thing i did before iMovie'09 exited was copying & pasting some text from the web to that project i was working on. And suddenly this happened.
I've tried reinstalling iMovie, deleting project folder, disabling fonts, etc but to no success.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Has anyone had any luck repairing, rebuilding or recovering a damaged project? I think I'm suffering the same thing. In my case, the project loads into the project window so I can see the clips, transitions and such, but it will not play. So close, and yet so far.
I've been searching this forum for answers. There are a lot of reports of projects that suddenly "die" but it seems that every thread ends with a question mark and no solution.
If there's no way to fix a broken project, this is a very serious flaw that everyone should consider before devoting days of effort to an iMovie project. Of course backups will save some effort but let's face it, most programs don't routinely produce damaged files. This needs to be fixed or users need to warned up front of the possibility of losing hours of work.

Remaining questions while evaluating JavaFX for a new project

Dear forum members:
currently I am evaluating the possibilities of next-generation GUI technologies, such as JavaFX, Silverlight and Flash/Flex, for a new project. To get a basic understanding of JavaFX's concepts, I worked through the available online text and video tutorials, and all the treated topics seem quite obvious/comprehensible to me +as long as one is only confronted to relatively static GUI component hierarchies+. But, as a newbie, some questions concerning more dynamically defined GUIs (i.e. dynamic JFX scripting*) still remain.
Application scenario (exemplary):
Say I want to create a "Online Shopping Application" that supports "+ShopOwners+" in *dynamically* defining the "+Shop Model+" structure, e.g. accepted visitor (client) categories, product categories their products, pricing information, payment methods, etc.
Then, based on the dynamically defined model, the shop owner should be able to design and layout the necessary forms, such as order forms, survey/feedback forms, etc. This should be done in "design mode", and there should also exist a possibility for him/her to preview the specification results in a "preview mode".
Finally, the shop owner must be able to save the model and forms on the server side in a way that can requested and run be the shopping app end users (the shop clients) via (another (?)) JavaFX frontend.
_The still remaining questions for this scenario are:_
+1. Is JavaFX appropriate for creating such kind of applications, especially when it comes to dynamic JFX scripting (and compilation) on the client side??? (By now I'm not quite sure if this is really necessary for my plans!)+
+2. Concerning the ShopOwner's GUI with its design and preview mode (and knowing that the latter mode will be the GUI version presented to the shop clients in another JFX module):+
+Is it possible to *dynamically *build up a +Scene Graph+ in a way that lets me handle and *compile* the corresponding +JFX Script+ on the client side for previewing it? Or is a client-server roundtrip absolutely necessary?
How could one persist this JFX Script on the server side? I.e., which intermediary format would be the most appropriate? => XML, JSON, JFX Script?
3. Concerning the "Shop Model", would I optimally create JFX classes or even Java Beans to bind to?
4. And finally: What would be your recommended way (software architecture) to fulfill this task in JavaFX?
Do there already exist some JFX components (dynamic forms/survey authoring modules, etc.) that persue a similar task and that I didn't find yet?
As the clarification of the above-mentioned issues are very important for me, I hope that you more experienced users can help me, pointing me to a practicable approach.

Q1: Do I optimally need 2 different custom components for each treated concept, or do I have just 1 component with 2 internal modes (design & preview/usage)??
E.g., (a) FormSpec widget composed of LabelSpec, TextBoxSpec, ChooseBoxSpec,... widgets each having their preview pendants
Form, Label, TextBox, ChooseBox, etc.
versus
+(b) only Form widget composed of Label, TextBox, ChooseBox widgets, but all having a "design/preview execution mode".+
Closer to (b), I think, though each widget doesn't need to be modified to have design and preview modes. Instead, each widget can be wrapped within a Group to provide the design/preview functions without modifying the widget itself.
The technique is as follows. Given a sequence of widgets (Nodes, really), for each widget, wrap it in a Group that contains that widget but with an overlay Rectangle in front of it. The Rectangle can be semi-transparent, or fully transparent if you prefer. (In the example below I've made it a semitransparent color to make its location obvious as well as to provide a highlight that signals design mode.) The overlay Rectangle is set up so that its dimensions will exactly track the dimensions (bounds) of the widget behind it. I've set blocksMouse to true so that when it's present, the overlay traps events and prevents interaction with the widget. There is a boolean variable previewMode, controlled by a CheckBox, that controls the visibility of these overlay rectangles. I've also added a bit of code to track mouse events on the overlay rectangles so that you can move the widgets around when you're in design mode.
Note that the visible variable differs from transparent, i.e. opacity == 0.0. If a node is visible but is transparent, it is still eligible to receive events; whereas if visible is false, it does not receive events.

Automating album creation for a new project?

I have several projects (such as specific event shoots) with the same basic set of albums for that project (some regular albums, some smart albums). I'll have albums for specific subsets of the events (for my sports shots, there's Individuals, Action, Team, etc.).
I'd like to automate the creation of these albums, as it gets a bit tedious having to create a bunch of albums manually for each new project I create. I looked at Aperture's automator actions, but couldn't find anything related to album creation. Is there such a thing?

I'm pretty sure this is scriptable using AppleScript. I haven't really had the need to script Aperture so I can't tell you the exact syntax without looking it up myself, but it shouldn't be too hard if you've ever used AppleScript. Just open Script Editor, go to File > Open Dictionary... > Aperture and you'll get a list of the scriptable actions Aperture has available.
