Dreamweaver CC 2014 and JQuery Accordian...

After upgrading to Dreamweaver CC 2014 from DW CC, I am seeing SpryAssets in my code when I insert a JQuery Accordian. Should that NOT be there, or at least have a different name? When I preview in Browser from DW CC 2014, it displays as desired. When I load page from browser over the web, the accordion effect is not there. What am I missing?
Thanks,
Rick

Hi Rick,
When you say that you have upgraded, I hope you mean that you installed a fresh version of of Dreamweaver CC2014 and left Dreamweaver CC in tact.
At the moment, I have three versions of Dreamweaver installed on my system, namely DWCS6, DWCC and DWCC14, all working independently of each other.
As such, DWCC14 will place all jQuery widget support files in a subdirectory called jQueryAssets.
In contrast, DWCC will place those same support files into a directory called SpryAssets, probably because of the Spry aftermath. If you do not like the name of this subdirectory, you can always rename it.

  • I am using Dreamweaver cc 2014 and after applying css styles to my fluid grid layout I lose the resize, delete, duplicate and move up/ down ability.

    I am using Dreamweaver cc 2014 and after applying css styles to my fluid grid layout I lose the resize,delete, duplicate an move up/ down ability.
    For this reason I cannot build new pages by copying one page to create another.
    I have a third style sheet that I use for the navigation styles  and h1 -h6 ect. tags. and I am also using a css drop menu, can one of these be the problem?
    The css menu I am using has the following script - I goes at the bottom of the html page. Before the closing body tag,
    <script>
    $(function () {
      $("#nav").tinyNav();
    </script>
    I am also using the following for image control - I place it towards the top of the fluid
    grid style sheet.
        box-sizing: border-box; /* Opera/IE 8+ */
        -moz-box-sizing: border-box; /* Firefox, other Gecko */
        -webkit-box-sizing: border-box; /* Safari/Chrome, other WebKit */
    Can some one please help.

    I am using Dreamweaver cc 2014 and after applying css styles to my fluid grid layout I lose the resize,delete, duplicate an move up/ down ability.
    This implies there is something broken in your FluidGrid Layout CSS file.   It  could be something simple like a missing semi-colon or curly bracket.   Run your code through the W3C validation tools below to check for errors.  NOTE:  ignore reported errors in boilerplate.css

  • I'm trying to update Dreamweaver CC 2014 and after I run the update my licensed version becomes a 30 day trail.

    I work at a community college and we have a volume license for the full Adobe suite.  All the software seems to update fine with the exception of Dreamweaver CC 2014 which after being updated goes from a fully licensed version to a 30 trail.

    Re-license the Creative Cloud product:
    Launch the problem Creative Cloud application.
    On the Creative Cloud application trial screen, click License This Software.
    Sign In with your Adobe ID associated with your Creative Cloud membership.

  • Dreamweaver CC 2014 and Server Behaviors

    Where are the new server behaviors for PHP/MySQL in the new CC 2014 edition?

    Hi All,
    Just to reiterate we do have Extension Manager CC standalone to install extensions for Dreamweaver CC 2014, that update is already available via Creative Cloud Application, please update Extension Manager if you need to support CC 2014 release products.
    For Server Behavior just wanted to let you guys know that we have it available on the AddOns page from where you can install it for Dw CC 2014 also.Do use the AddOns workflow and let us know about the user experience to help make it better and easier. In case if you are looking for how to install the Server behavior from AddOns page, please follow below mentioned steps :
    1. Download/Install the latest Adobe Creative Cloud Application from creative.adobe.com and make sure to turn on File Sync.
    2. Launch Dreamweaver.
    3. Goto Windows>>Browse AddOns.
    4. Search for Server behavior in the AddOns page.
    5. Now quit Dreamweaver.
    6. After quitting Dreamweaver Click the install Button against the Extension in the AddOns page.
    7. Wait for some time for a notification to be displayed in the Creative Cloud Application. After successful installation of the extension you should receive a notification the Creative Cloud app saying "You installed the AddOn Server Behavior & Database"
    Let us know if that does not work for you.
    Thanks

  • Where are the Jquery Mobile starter options in Dreamweaver CC 2014 ?

    In Dreamweaver CC 2014 the Mobile Starter in Page samples seems to be missing. I have it in Dreamweaver CS 6 but the Jquery mobile starter pages aren't in the CC version.
    In the Adobe tutorials on Adobe.tv you say to use the mobile starter page but it is not in my version
    Dreamweaver CC 2014
    This is what your tutorial on Dreamweaver shot looks like

    The JQuery Mobile Mobile Starter has been replaced by new menu items in the Insert menu. Instead of choosing Page from Sample, you now create a new, blank HTML5 document, then insert the JQuery page components. The first step is to choose
    Insert->JQuery Mobile->Page
    (If this menu is grayed out, simply click anywhere in  Code View first.)
    The first time you choose this menu item, Dreamweaver will display two dialogs; thereafter, it will display only one. The first dialog asks you to locate dependent files. This gives you the same options as the previous method (use a CDN, or us local .js scripts), but with much greater control. Immediately after you close this dialog, the second one appears. It simply asks whether you want a starter page with Header or Footer, both or neither. After that, every time you choose
    Insert->JQuery Mobile->Page
    Dreamweaver will only show that Page Layout dialog, no longer the first one about dependent files.
    How do you create a menu list on the Home page? Simply place the cursor in the Content section of your very first page, and choose:
    Insert->JQuery Mobile->List View
    Adobe is still doing a very poor job of explaining this, seemingly unconcerned about its customers who rely on the most recent method. The only explanation is given in this link: Building and packaging mobile apps in Dreamweaver CC | Adobe Developer Connection

  • Jquery widget equivalent to spry dataset for dreamweaver CC 2014.1?

    I built a website a while back with either CS4 or CS5. I used spry datasets to pull menu items into the tables on the website. I did some research and found that spry widgets were pulled from the CC suites for some reason and replaced with jquery widgets. I'm not 100% sure why adobe did this, but what jquery widget equivalent is there for the spry datasets in dreamweaver cc 2014.1?
    Thanks for your help everyone!

  • Dreamweaver CS6, CC and CC 2014 are all crashing constantly... HELP!

    I have been doing some searching around to try and figure this out on my own, but nothing that I'm finding is solving this issue. I updated my Graphic driver in addition to the Cuda driver. I do have anything that is outstanding in my updates, so I would assume that all other updates have been applied.
    System: Mac Pro (Mid 2010)
    Processor  3.33 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon
    Memory  16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC
    Software  OS X 10.9.4 (13E28)
    CC and CC 2014 let me open Dreamweaver, however, once I got to open a project file or create a new file - it will instantly crash and ask if I want to reopen. CS6 will just crash and never open. Only Dreamweaver is giving me problems, I haven't experienced problems with any of the other software. It should be noted that CC 2014 was crashing, so I then installed CC...which crashed, so I installed CS6. So I'm not sure that it's the install itself that is doing this.

  • Dreamweaver CC 2014 crashes every 3 to 5 minutes. Windows 8.1. Uninstalled and reinstalled again today, not any better.

    I had the trial version for the last 30 days. I bought the product Sunday and entered the license code. The next day it started crashing every few minutes. I looked up similar reports in this forum and tried what has been recommended. I made sure Verdana and Tahoma fonts are set to "visible". I checked my CSS for open curly parenthesis. I uninstalled Dreamweaver and reinstalled. I rebooted. I cleared the cache.
    I have a simple little site for a historical society. There are no extensions installed. I have one CSS file and no other files except for the few HTML pages that make up the site. There are no forms or javascript in use.

  • I am getting a slider on horizontal and vertical sides while embedding the edge animate object in dreamweaver CC 2014

    I am getting a slider on horizontal and vertical sides while embedding the edge animate object in dreamweaver CC 2014.
    When I import the ".oam" file in dreamweaver and change its width and height, then it starts showing me horizontal and vertical sliders.

    Hello!
    I now have a project that seems to be corrupted. A had been working on it all morning, with a few bugs here and there. Now I can no longer open the file, receiving this error: "Edge Animate: Exception An error occurred. Please your work and restart Edge Animate."
    I will try to attach sample files.

  • I downloaded Dreamweaver CC 2014.1, started using it but cannot find Show Fluid Grid Layout Guides button, Resize LI.link sizing handle and 'move up a Row' arrow. Where can I find them?

    I downloaded Dreamweaver CC 2014.1, started using it but cannot find Show Fluid Grid Layout Guides button, Resize LI.link sizing handle and 'move up a Row' arrow. Where can I find them?

    You have the latest version (CC 2014.1 or 2014.1.1) in which the interface condenses Design View with Live View buttons in normal layouts.  See screenshot.
    However, in FGLayouts, Live View is the only option which poses some editing problems and has been highly criticized.
    Is there any way to display the Design View in fluid grid pages?

    You can disable this restriction by adding an X to the FGLayout CSS.
        Dreamweaver Fluid Grid Properties
        dw-num-cols-mobile:      X 4;
        dw-num-cols-tablet:        8;
        dw-num-cols-desktop:    12;
        dw-gutter-percentage:    25;
    =====================================
    Having said that, it might just  be simpler to revert to an earlier version.  Log-in to Creative Cloud Desktop app.  Go to Filters & Versions > Previous Version.  See screenshot.

  • "Code & Design" and "Code & Live" view problem i  am getting in Dreamweaver CC 2014

    Please anyone help me.
    I have 2 webpages, one is with 12 columns fluid grid based and another is without fluid grid based.
    Both are open in same site folder in Dreamweaver CC 2014.
    I want to resize/edit  my fluid grid div column in design view.
    But i m not getting the proper menu (view-->Code and Design)
    why the problem is happening ?
    If my non-fluid page is active for edit purpose than i am getting the "View"-->"Code and Design"
    if my fluid page is active for edit purpose than i am no getting the  "View"-->"Code and Design"
    but i am getting "View"-->"Code and live"
    i am unable to resize my fluid div using the resize handler.
    this is fluid based, i need "code and design view"
    this is non-fluid based

    There has been much discussion about this lately.  You can add your vote for a return of Design View below.
    Provide "Design View" for Fluid Grid Webpages
    It's an "improvement" made to the October release to promote more people to use Live View editing in FGLayouts.  As we're finding out, the removal of Design View in FGLayouts is severely impacting people's workflows.
    Workarounds:
    Step back to CC June release from links below
    Win: http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/dreamweaver/win/cc/Dreamweaver_14_LS20.exe
    Mac: http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/dreamweaver/mac/cc/Dreamweaver_14_LS20.dmg
    or put an X in the FGLayout CSS comments
    Change this:
    Dreamweaver Fluid Grid Properties
    dw-num-cols-mobile:        5;
    dw-num-cols-tablet:        8;
    dw-num-cols-desktop:    12;
    dw-gutter-percentage:    25;
    to this:
    Dreamweaver Fluid Grid Properties
    dw-num-cols-mobile:      X;
    dw-num-cols-tablet:        8;
    dw-num-cols-desktop:    12;
    dw-gutter-percentage:    25;

  • Dreamweaver CS6-  jquery and jquery cycle to have 5 images slide (as a fade) in a banner code failure- help?

    Dreamweaver CS6- I am trying to use jquery and jquery cycle to have 5 images slide (as a fade) in a banner. I thought I got the code right but it stacked the images. I suspect I have the incorrect code for the position or I haven't properly added cycle.
    my head code:
    <title>slider</title>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="JS/jquery-1.11.2.min.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="JS/jquery.cycle2.min.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $('#slider').cycle({
    </script>
    <style type="text/CSS">
    #slider {margin:auto;}
    </style>
    My div code:
    <div id="slider">
      <p>
        <img src="Leather web page/DSC_0531_4925.JPG"/>
        <img src="Leather web page/DSC_0035_edited-1.JPG"/>
        <img src="Leather web page/DSC_1593_edited-1.jpg"/>
        <img src="Leather web page/DSC_1595_edited-1.jpg"/>
        <img src="Leather web page/DSC_1821.jpg"/>
        </div>
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    1. You can use a constructor to change the defaults. The default values can be seen in jquery.cycle2.js starting at line 659 as per the following. As you can see at the bottom, the code automatically runs the slideshow(s)
    // @see: http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle2/api
    $.fn.cycle.defaults = {
        allowWrap:        true,
        autoSelector:     '.cycle-slideshow[data-cycle-auto-init!=false]',
        delay:            0,
        easing:           null,
        fx:              'fade',
        hideNonActive:    true,
        loop:             0,
        manualFx:         undefined,
        manualSpeed:      undefined,
        manualTrump:      true,
        maxZ:             100,
        pauseOnHover:     false,
        reverse:          false,
        slideActiveClass: 'cycle-slide-active',
        slideClass:       'cycle-slide',
        slideCss:         { position: 'absolute', top: 0, left: 0 },
        slides:          '> img',
        speed:            500,
        startingSlide:    0,
        sync:             true,
        timeout:          4000,
        updateView:       0
    // automatically find and run slideshows
    $(document).ready(function() {
        $( $.fn.cycle.defaults.autoSelector ).cycle();
    2. To center the slideshow, merely center the container as in
    div.cycle-slideshow {
        width: 1000px;
        margin: auto;

  • Dreamweaver CC and jQuery Support

    I'm only recently getting into jQuery, specifically for creating mobile apps.  I know that Dreamweaver CC has good support for jQuery, jQuery UI, and jQuery Mobile.  BUT, I also notice that the code it creates is a hybrid between pure jQuery code, and Dreamweaver proprietary javascript code, such as all the MM_xxx javascript functions.  I also notice that the events for jQuery components are mostly placed within the HTML tag, such as the onClick attribute of an A tag, etc...
    Is there anyway, automagically, to get the jQuery code to build within a script section within the code, with the appropriate event handler as code instead of embedding into the HTML tags themselves?  And is there anyway to eliminate the MM_xxx proprietary javascript functions, and use pure jQuery code instead?

    Hi
    I don't think it is do-able on code that is automatically generated. but I am not a jQuery user in Dw, (JavaScript yes, jQuery no).
    Anything that begins with MM_xxx.... normally indicates that it was written specifically for Dw.
    It may be worth waiting for a few members who normally look-in latter in the day though, as they may know more about using jQuery with Dw.
