  • Win 7 Pro 64-bit / DW CS5 crashes when opening files with external links

open any html, php, etc with a link to an external file - could be any type
    dw cs5 crashes
this is on a fresh, clean install of win 7 and cs5 suite. hard drive was wiped clean before installing
Has anyone experienced this issue also?
This is extremely annoying...  why I should pay for software that doesn't work?

"Enable Related Files" isn't the fix for this issue. It's slightly different - I wanted to still load related files, but only the ones local to the file I was editing.
The fix was to use DW's Resolve To IP Address feature. It required adding a registry value - it fixed the issue straight away
This Adobe support doc helped: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/887/cpsid_88742.html

  • Dreamweaver CC Crashing When Editing Files

I just wanted to post this to let anyone know who may be having this problem too. Dreamweaver CC was crashing for me when I would open a file, edit it and save and put it. I read all the discussions saying it was an issue with not having the Verdana and Tahoma fonts on the local machine. This was not the case for me.
I also read that someone had installed Illustrator and the issue was fixed, and another who said he already had Illustrator installed so he re-installed it and this fixed his problem. I too already had Illustrator installed so I started by uninstalling it, and this alone seems to have fixed the issue for me! It might be worth noting that I also checked the box on uninstall that removes settings info. as well.
I hope this post will be useful to someone since I had to search for a while to find what worked for me. I love the Adobe line of products but as others have said, I believe Creative Cloud may have been released too early (before all the kinks were worked out).

    Hi AndyNL,
Thank you for sharing this information with us. I am not quite sure about how uninstalling Illustrator solved the problem for you, but I will check with the team to see if this is a potential solution.
    Thanks,

  • Photoshop CS5 crashes when opening file/creating new file

I can load up CS5 and its fine. I then go to open or create a file and it just crashes.
    Can someone help me please
I really need photoshop for my photography
    Cheers
    Lunty

Photoshop uses OpenGL for some things that won't function if you disable it, but for the most part Photoshop will work fine.  Things you will miss include:
Alt-right click and drag mouse gestures for changing brush size/hardness won't show you a preview of your brush size/hardness, just an outline.
    Smooth zoom and panning.
Some 3D functions of the Extended edition.
Some performance improvements in the display.
Adobe has done a great job of making almost all of Photoshop work well without OpenGL, but I encourage you to visit the following site and download the latest video drivers for your card.  It may clear up all the Photoshop problems and possibly others you don't know you have yet.

  • My firefox crashed when upload file on our web based application. This happen on two PC, even during firefox safe mode the problem still exist. But the problem

    Dear All,
My firefox (version 23 on win 7) crashed when upload file on our internal web based application. This happen on two PC, even in firefox safe mode the problem still exist. So, my first conclusion the problem nothing to do with extension. here the crash ID https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/81220865-36c0-4e10-a484-6d27e2131023 and https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/86d2b779-9730-4d2c-b276-a86d42131023. I wonder if this happen because jquery modul in our web based application. But when I tried on my laptop, the problem dissapear. I tried to replicate same situation on different server, I mean I put the exact same application source to other server, never meet the same problem. Thus, I suspect may be it related to antivirus that installed in our network which is kaspersky. I am googling, never meet the clue.
If you meet the same problem, please help me.
I am so sorry for my poor english.
    Him Him

The crashes are a problem with the winhadnt.dll file (OCular Agent from TEC Solutions Limited) as you can see in the crash reports.

  • Zepto - Dreamweaver CS5 crashes

    Hi,
if I try to open the zepto.js file (Zepto.js: the aerogel-weight jQuery-compatible JavaScript library) Dreamweaver CS5 crashes. Even if I just try to include the file in an HTML document with 'script src="zepto.js"' without opening the js file, Dreamweaver crashes also.
Anyone who has / had the same problem? I don't know how to work with Zepto when Dreamweaver crashes every time.

In the past I have worked with Zepto (for Foundation) without a problem using DWCC.
I reverted back to using jQuery when I realised that I needed jQuery for some of my widgets because Zepto did not cope.
If you keep having problems with Zepto in DW, perhaps you should switch back. The loss of performance in doing so is negligible.

  • Bridge CS5 crashes when opening

    Joseph Heller would be proud.
Adobe Bridge, CS5 crashes when starting up.  I downloaded Photoshop CS5 Extended, installed it on my new MacBook Air (this computer has never seen any CSx product).  Installed the CS5 serial number, installed the SC4 legacy serial number, all is well.  Photoshop runs fine.  I installed all my Nik plugins and Bokeh Plugin.  All is well.  I tried running Bridge, and it crashes during the launch "The operation could not be completed.  An unknown operating system error has occurred."  Adobe released an update, which I downloaded, but during installation, it too crashed (couldn't perform the update and provided a link to Adobe support.
Fours hours later with Adobe.  Tried:
    1) Deleting the PLIST file for Bridge, no luck.
    2) Tried the Option Bridge trick to reset all preferences in Bridge, no luck.
    3) Created a new Admin account, logged into it, Bridge worked.
    4) Adobe technical help said it is now an Apple problem since the program worked with the new admin account.
    5) Apple said pound sand, it's an Adobe program, it should work regardless of which admin account.
    6) Back to Adobe, talked to third level (still tier 1) person, it's an Apple problem.  He suggested deactivating Photoshop, un-install Photoshop, run a clean script (which I just downloaded but haven't tried) which will wipe out any files that has to do with CS5 that the un-install program doesn't un-install (totally logical), re-download and re-install everything, again (I haven't tried this yet).
Doing a Google search for Bridge crashing while opening reveals a frightening amount of comments with people having similar problems (don't even get me started about Adobe Air).
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Arnie...

Guess I'll have to take it to the Apple store and have them reinstall everything. My first experience with Macs is making Microsoft look totally brilliand at this point. I guess the thing that has really ticked me off about this whole thing is that Apple support (who must obviously know of this kind of problem) wouldn't give me the time of day unless I paid $249 for their care plan because I was past my 90 day "warranty"
Sorry to hear that and yes, support from big companies is not what it should be, can't argue with that.
However assuming you did back up important files (if you had any in that short period) and you have all the serial numbers there should be no problem to install all of it your self again if needed.
If you keep pressing the on/off button on your machine it will get you a force Quit and the machine will shut down. The press again to restart and if no luck try to insert the install disk  (but here i'm a bit at loss, don't use Lion yet and have not bought a new Mac for 3 years but I assume there is still an install or repair disk that comes with your MacBook??)
With the disk in the player keep pressing the 'c' key when starting the computer and the computer starts from the disk.
You can first use disk utility from the install disk and use the option to check and repair disk first.
It really is not difficult and you will be better off when experience installation by yourself and in no time don't need support anymore

Photoshop CS5 crashes when trying to print. I recently updated to Mac OSX Mavericks. Help?

Hi, Chris. Thanks for giving this query a look. I have the same problem. All documents print on my HP Deskjet 932C except Photoshop files since I updated to Mavericks.
    My CS5 version is 9.0 x64. Mavericks is 10.9.4.
I checked the HP drivers and HP doesn't have one for OS X newer than 10.4.
I tried printing out the detailed report (very long!) and this page rejected the reply as spam. Can we provide the text as an attachment?

  • Premiere Pro CS5 crash when adjusting audio gain

Premiere Pro CS5 crash when adjusting audio gain
    The same on another workstations.
    Have any idea?

    Hi Dennis,
I just had a go and can reproduce the problem straight away too.
Created a new project then a new XDCAM EX 1080p25 sequence. Imported a short Sony PMW-350 clip. Dragging it straight to the timeline and then setting audio gain is OK (Source channel mapping preferences set to mono).
However, if I Modify - Audio Channels and then set track format as stereo or mono as stereo and then drag the clip to the timeline and right click - gain, Premiere crashes about 1/2 to 1 second after the audio gain dialogue box appears. Error log below if it's useful.

Incidentally, I tried with both the default Windows 7 audio drivers and then the Realtek HD drivers installed (I'd previously forgotten to install the Realtek driver when I built the PC)

  • CS5 crashing when exporting to InCopy

ID CS5 crashes when we export to InCopy (CS5). We've tried many work arounds - move folder from server to desktop, turned off ID and PS pluggins in suitcase, restarted, saved IC by adding all stories to assignments, etc.
Has anyone encountered anything like this? What helped you?

Based on this description, it sounds like a placed graphic is causing the problem. Try item #3 underTroubleshoot print/export problems at the document level in this document:
