Dreamweaver CS5 doesn't respond when connecting to server

I don't know what happened but last night I was working in DW and everything was running fine. I got up this morning to continue where I left off and when I try to connect to my site (local testing server), DW hangs and doesn't respond. I let it be for a bit but when I came back, it was still not responding. I shut it down and restarted it and found that its functionality was fine until I tried to connect locally to my site.
I created a page in PHP and everything worked ok. Then I created a testing site on my WAMP server for this new page. As soon as I tried to connect to this new testing server, DW hung and wouldn't respond.
As you may have guessed, this is a server issue.
I looked at my Wamp server and I couldn't find anything wrong with it. DW just seems to have developed issues with it on its own between last night and today. I don't know why Dreamweaver would all of a sudden take issue with my WAMP server on its own but it has and I don't know how to fix it aside from a complete re-install.
Can anybody lend guidance before I dive into this last step?
edit: I forgot to mention...when I restart DW I notice in my files list for my site, that DW created a new copy of my addme.php file as addme_alxr88pca.php. I don't know if that helps but I figured I should add that.

these and similar events are the blame for it, that I prefer a program which works "outside" of the DW. My reason is: for each task in whatever area we work, we search for the experts, we don't charge a "jack of all trades".
So I use to upload my files and sometimes for the opposite way, for a necessary download from my server, by using filezilla. It simply looks easier for me to keep track of all operations precisely and generate or reflect easily the desired tree structure.
Above all, FileZilla has a feature (translation from my German FileZilla) called "compare file list". Here it's possible to use file size or modification time as a criterion. There is also the possibility to "hide identical files", so that only these files which you want to redact remain visible.
And even if it means you have to install a new program, I am convinced that there is an advantage. Here is the link to get it and where you can read informations about how it works:

Well yesterday I had the two of the most common problems that a lot of people seem to be having with iTunes after the latest update- opening iTunes and not getting my iPhone 4 to be recognized. I solved the iTunes problem last night and iPhone is now being recognized on my computer but when I connect it to my computer iTunes automatically freezes and stops responding. When I disconnect it and restart iTunes it responds again and runs smoothly like nothing happened.
When it freezes beside "iTunes Store" it says "iPhone" and it seems like it freezes while it's trying to sync my phone. I've tried restarting my computer, leaving it connected before starting iTunes, waiting until iTunes comes up to connect it, but whatever I do iTunes just won't work with my iPhone connected. Any ideas on how to fix this?

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

You may have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.

Dreamweaver CS5 doesn't start, cannot find configuration file

Dreamweaver Could not locate the Resource file in the Configuration folder. This file is required to run Dreamweaver. Please reinstall the application.
Dreamweaver CS5 doesn't start due to the error message above.
Found the configuration folder but on my roaming profile on the server, not on C drive.
Note that I installed Dreamweaver on the second partition of the hard disk, not on C drive due to lack of space. Other Adobe CS5 software are running well such as Photoshop and InDesign.
I have tried to delete (after backup) the Configuration folder, as I read on this forum that it should be automatically recreated, but no success. Tried to copy the Configuration folder (in fact the entire Adobe folder) to the user profile on C drive, but no success.
On this PC, no previous version of Dreamweaver has been installed. However, I have used older versions on different computers, and there are in the Adobe folder on my roaming profile traces of CS4 and CS6.
Could you please advise?

-ipad does NOT say "not charging"

-If VM IS turned in mac osx the "connect to mac or windows" dialog box DOESNT appear

Premiere doesn't respond when rendering.

My adobe premiere pro 5.5 doesn't respond when I'm rendering a video. It works fine, until it reaches around 86% when the tab comes up that it has stopped working, and windows is looking for a solution.
THis is very frustrating, especially after the video has been rendering after 2 hours.

Welcome to the forum, LotusS.
Please elaborate on what you mean by "render." Some people use "render" as synonymous with "export" or "encode," but in Premiere we distinguish between rendering and exporting/encode. Rendering is reserved for creating preview files for smoother playback within PPRO, whereas exporting/encoding covers writing a sequence out to an output clip.
If you're talking about rendering preview files, then the first question is whether that's even necessary. In Premiere Pro, you need to render only if playback is not smooth and fluid; if you're satisified with playback without rendering, then don't bother.
If rendering preview files is desirable, then to isolate the cause of the hang, I'd render the sequence in segments by setting in & out points. Since the process is hanging at 86%, you could start by rendering the first three-quarters. Assuming that succeeds, then do smaller segments of the last 25% until you find the spot where it hangs. Then examine that section for an asset or effect or transition that's causing problems.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Dreamweaver CS5.5 Deleting Code When Copying a File

When I try to copy or duplicate a file in Dreamweaver CS5.5 for Mac, Dreamweaver removes the last five or six lines of code. I have to create a lot of nearly-identical webpages with the same footer information on each page, and it's really tiresome having to go back into each page and re-create the code Dreamweaver has deleted. I've updated both the Dreamweaver and OS software, but it hasn't corrected the problem. It doesn't matter whether I use the "copy", "paste", "duplicate" Dreamweaver functions, or if I simply use Command+C, Command+V. I can't seem to find anyone online having a similar problem. Do any of you know of a fix?

On the remote server side, I can right-click, say, index.html and copy or duplicate it. It's in that process that the code is being chopped off.
I never work that way and wouldn't want to for a variety of reasons.
Best to open index.html in your Local Site.
Hit File > SaveAs "some-new-filename.html"
Try doing that a few times and report back with your results.

Photoshop CS5 doesn't respond to Lightroom

Hi. I have this posted in the Lightroom forum, but am getting no responses. Thought maybe there would be a response here in the Photoshop area.
I have just recently upgraded both Photoshop CS4 to CS5 and Lightroom 2.7 to 3.0. They're great upgrades and am enjoying the new features. However, there is one hangup that I am running into. When in Lightroom, I do a right click over an image to Edit the Image in Photoshop CS5. Most of the time the image will then open in Photoshop and I can then proceed to do my edits. But, after a short while (after a couple hours), this procedure stops working. When I click in Lightroom to Edit in Photoshop CS5, Photoshop will begin to load up, but then the image to edit never appears. I then quit Photoshop and reload it, but then it still doesn't respond to Lightroom. After quitting both programs and retrying the whole process, Photoshop still won't respond.
The only way to fix this I've found is to restart or log off the comp (I'm on a mac with OSX 10.6). Some on here have said to delete the preference files. I've done this, but still no luck. I've deleted Photoshop CS5 and reinstalled it, and still the problems persists. I've updated my CS5 to version 12.0.1, and still the same problem. Has anyone else out there experienced this problem and found a fix?

what else do I have running... well I have my Outlook opened and Windows Explorer, Messenger, Skype...I'm not sure that's what you mean by "what else I have running"?

This problem has now been fixed by the Dreamweaver 11.0.2 updater. If you are still having problems, contact Adobe technical support.
Dreamweaver will not work on a user account that has File Vault enabled. This is a known restriction. To quote the Mac documentation:
Because your home folder is encrypted, some tasks that normally access

In Finder, navigate to <your username>:Library:Application Support:Adobe:Dreamweaver CS5.
With the Dreamweaver CS5 folder selected, choose File > Get Info (Cmd+I).
If necessary, expand Sharing and Permissions.
Click the lock icon at the bottom right of the panel to make changes. Enter your Mac password when prompted.
Click the plus button at the bottom left of the panel, select your name in the dialog box that opens, and click Select.
Change the privilege for your name to Read & Write.
Click the lock icon to lock the Sharing and Permissions section.

HT1338 My "Notes" application on my Mac doesn't respond when I open it.

A day ago, I was looking up something on spotlight and saw a peculiar entry from notes I thought I deleted. I clicked on it and a small box with the note in it appeared. It stopped resonding when I tried to edit the text or close it or anything. Now everytime I open notes, that same little note box(not the full sized one) comes up and doesn't respond. Every single time I open notes. I am forced to "force quit" every time. I have tried restarting, shutting down, nothing sems to work. Please help. This is getting very frustrating very quickly.

I wrote this "User Tip" to deal with reparing Notes accounts, not notes themselves per se.
But if you either keep all the notes you want in iCloud, or have no notes worth saving and only want to repair the application, this tip may help.
I do not recommend using this tip if you have notes in the Notes app that are not in iCloud but that you need to keep.

Dreamweaver CS5.5 Slow down when minimising and loading pages.

Hi there
I'm having a really strange problem with Dreamweaver CS5.5
I'm currently in the process of building a CMS for a client and I am experience slow down in Dreamwever when opening and closing certain pages, it also causes slow down/hanging when opening and minimising Dreamweaver itself if these certain pages are open at the time. Which starts to get very annoying when you're swapping between Photoshop and Dreamweaver all the time...
I narrowed it down to a CSS file causing the slow down/hanging. This being the main stylesheet for the CMS... admin.css
When I comment out the CSS file Dreamweaver minimises and maximises quickly, and the page in question opens fast.
The stylesheet is about 900 lines long at the moment, but I've got php and javascript files (and also other CSS files) which are much longer and none of them cause slow down/hanging.
I've looked myself but from what I can see all of the CSS is valid.
Any ideas guys?
