Dreamweaver cs6 Gets freezes

Hi , Dreamweaver cs6 Gets freezes when i type or save anything . i reinstall the dreamweaver cs6 , cleared the dreamweaver cache file ,dynamic file set to manually in preferences, create the string in registry also ,but no improvement. i am using tortoise svn server from windows server 2012, system configuration is windows 8, i5 processor .any help will be appreciated .sorry for my bad english

Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 constantly freezes temporarily while editing code

When using Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 or older versions, while writing code in PHP, when I end some syntax like closing parenthesis, adobe get frozen for 20 to 30 seconds, the more lines I have the slower it gets. I guess it’s because its detecting mistakes in the code, after that period of time it tells me if I have gotten some errors in that line.
Anyways, I have found a trick to avoid it but it’s really annoying in programming time, instead of using SHIFT+0 to close parenthesis, I copy “)” symbol on the clipboard and paste it to close the whatever function that needs to be close, and in this way, adobe Dreamweaver CS6 wont freeze for 30 seconds, (loosing of course the cool feature of grammar correction).
I know how this sounds but when you have 40.000 lines and you have to correct several mistakes in different lines and after each correction you have to wait 30 seconds… it just pisses you off.
I hope someone could help me to get rid of that waiting maintaining the correction feature or if that is too much to ask for, at least to make it behave like any other text editor that just writes what you time without waits needed.

I have updated all adobe software so it's the latest build.. My computer is working fine, the only thing that crashes is DW.
Help?

This can be caused by a number of things. One of the easiest to test is external javascript files.
If you have any javascripts that are pointing to someone else's server, you can add a comment around them and see if that fixes the issue. It's always best to have a local copy of those files within your site vs relying on someons else's server to be up and running to make your site function.

If you don't have links to .js files similar to what I've explained, you can validate your code here: http://validator.w3.org/ and repair any errors
Invalid code can definitely cause some strange issues in DW.
If you don't have external links as explained and your code validates (or you fix all errors and still have the issue), there may be something else in the source causing problems. If you could post a link to an offending page online, we would be able to take a better look.

Dreamweaver CS6 - Get error when trying to connect to database..

Usually, "an unknown error has occurred" means that there's something wrong with your testing server definition. Have you followed the instructions here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/setup_php.html ?

Using Dreamweaver CS6, get 'Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 has stopped working'

This happened in CS5 as well. We have a large site (57800 files total). When we run Link Checker, we get 47841 Orpahned files. When I right click and attempt to save the file, I get a message box with the error listed above.
When I click on debug, I get 'An unhandled win32 exception occurred in Dreamweaver.exe [6244].
This is a Windows 7, 32-bit with 4 GB RAM machine.

I want to host my Dreamweaver files on my website. I get to where Dreamweaver is able to connect to my server. I press Ok, then Save, then Done. Then I press Site/Put--and nothing happens! I got all the information about Root Directory (leave blank) etc., from my server Godaddy. So what am I doing wrong? Benjamin

Not sure if this is your problem, I have come across this on a number of occasions when I put the files.
The problem occurs when I have Local view selected and the files are uploaded to the Testing server rather than the Remote server. In this case, I first select Remote server, wait until the files panel has been populated, then go back to Local view and put my files.

Dreamweaver CS6 freezes up constantly

Dreamweaver CS6 keeps freezing up on me whenever I try to use it. The freeze lasts like 15-20 seconds then when I start to use it again it freezes up almost imediately. I've downloaded updates for it and tried clearing my cache. Nothing has helped at all. I've had this problem since I loaded dreamweaver on my laptop. Is there any fixes to stop it from freezing? It doesn't crash just freezes/locks up.

Try steps mentioned in the troubleshooting document below. Choose The preference file depending on your version of Dreamweaver.

I own fully paid for license for Dreamweaver CS6. Every time I click to open the app, I get a very annoying pop-up message. How do I stop it?

I own fully paid for license for a Mac version of Dreamweaver cs6. Every time I click to open the app, and before I can start using CS6, I get a very annoying pop-up message (see screen shot below) that states I have a trial version and do I want to buy into the cloud version, which I don't. How do I stop the pop-up? This message seems to originate from the Extension Manager.
I tried trashing Extension Manager, but another annoying pops-up which states that I have to "reinstall the application manager". Of course, there is no such thing as a "application manager" that I can find. I guess it should be "extension manager".
I no longer own Photoshop because there are so many great alternatives available. Can't wait to do the same with Dreamweaver.
Adobe can't even get the correct cost. I'm an US Customer however they quote the Creative Cloud in Euros. Go figure........

I have faced this problem in the past. In my case, I had Adobe registered under two separate ID. One when a student and the second as a regular employed individual. Because I purchased the licensed while at the University, the registration was listed under the school id. So, when I login in Adobe using my regular ID, I then received the annoying marketing campaign add.
Therefore, review that you have enter the correct id during loging. IT is possible that you login to the community as one ID but purchased the subscription using a separate user name. In these cases, the computer will not know that you already have a paying license.

Dreamweaver CS6 not responding (freezing)

I am running Windows Vista and performed the most recent update of Dreamweaver CS6 (I am using Creative Cloud) and my Dreamweaver program continues to not respond if I need to go out to another program and then back into Dreamweaver. It was not responding before the update, as well. I am using a Typekit script on all of my pages and this freezing/not responding thing just started happening, though it had worked just a few weeks ago. I have done the following:
disabled Javascript
disabled all extensions
turned off "Display External Files"
Currently defragmenting my computer
Performed a disk cleanup
My site is not linked to any outside site. This issue is making my development double in the amount of time and I really need this fixed. Any other suggestions would be great.

That's complete rubbish. I'm using Vista with Creative Cloud and have no problems. Vista is essentially Win7.
There are a couple of 64 bit products I can't use on my 32 bit operating system but the rest work fine.
I suggest you delete your cache and/or personal configuration folder.

How can I find (or at least get specs of) Dreamweaver CS6 layouts in Dreamweaver CC?

Hello!
I'm a student taking a course in web design, and many of our assignments require that I use liquid layouts from Dreamweaver CS6. The problem is that I have Dreamweaver CC (which cut out many of the templates), and buying the older version for this class seems silly.
Does anyone know where I can find the standard set of CS6 layouts to download? If not, does anyone know where I could at least find specs on those layouts? I'm proficient at coding and web scripting, but I don't want to be docked class points because I set a width to 75% instead of 80% or used an inconsistant class name.

If you have DWCC, you can also install DWCS6 for free as part of your CC Subscription...

FWIW, DWCC removes those old layouts because they were viewed as either redundant (since they were just variations of a base layout) and/or not current HTML standards compliant.
You can download DWCS6 and have access to all of them, open one, save it into your site and switch back to DWCC if you like.
As far as I know, they can't be added back into DWCC, but you get both programs as a CC subscriber, they just don't run at the same time.

Dreamweaver CS6 uses old, deleted files: How can I get rid of them?

Hi Everyone,
this is my first posting... I have a problem that is really annoying. Using Dreamweaver CS6 on a Win-7-64bit desktop computer, I had external help for transferring a website into html5 and CSS3. When the site was nearly done, I imported the whole site and worked on it by myself using Dreamweaver CS6. This worked well, until I had external help again in the index.html file. I imported the new index.html file that was worked on externally, but dreamweaver does not allow this: It keeps showing the old index.html file that I had deleted before, even when I try to re-import the site etc. In the web, I found that it might be helpful to remove the file history using regedit. I did that, and also tried my very best to remove every remnant from the old version, aftzer that, used CCleaner and Tuneup Utilities 2014, and again, this did not help. I then thought the only way would be de-installing Dreamweaver CS6, again cleaning my whole computer for any probably remaining filed or .bak files, and then after several re-starts and cleaning processes, I re-installed Dreamweaver CS6, in the hope it would work now. However, Dreamweaver again came up with the same problem. Somewhere in the mists of the harddisk, dramweaver still must have access to long deleted files, and again does not allow me to work on the new corrected index.html file. Something seriously strange is happening on your system.
You deleted the index.html file from your machine and DW is somehow still opening it?
Can you have both the new and old one open at the same time within Dreamweaver?
If so, go into Source View and copy all the code from the new one. Highlight and delete the code from the old file and paste the new code in. Hit Save on the old file.
If that doesn't fix the issue, you'll need to contact your IT guy to have the wombats cleared out of your system. DW only works with the files on your hard drive, it doesn't store them, so if you've tried to delete something and DW can still see it, it's still on your system (the deletion attempt failed). You may have some kind of permissions issue or something more serious going wrong with your OS.

Why is Dreamweaver CS6 freezing on Lion?

When I open a file that opened fine in Dreamweaver CS6 under Snow Leopard 10.6.8, it freezes under OS Lion 10.7.4. It seems to be the links on the page to google web fonts. When I deleted them in another editing software, Dreamweaver opened the page fine.

Firefox is probably your default web browser which launches anytime you click on an .htm or .html file.
If you want HTML files to launch inside Dreamweaver instead of Firefox, open your file manager (Windows Explorer), and change file associations for .html & .htm files. When you do this, the icon next to those files will change from FF to DW.

Trying to connect to PhoneGap Build Service in Dreamweaver CS6 but get a "Temporary Server related error". Help!

I am trying to connect to the PhoneGap Build Service in Dreamweaver CS6 but after about a minute I receive the error "Temporary Server related error. Please try again later.". I have googled, searched and implemented any fix that I could find without any joy. I have fully updated Dreamweaver and all other Cloud services but still am receiving the error.
I can log into build.phonegap.com using my Adobe ID no problem and I have linked a GitHub account to my Adobe ID so I am at a loss as what I can try next.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I cannot "Get Started" the Business Catalyst extension from Dreamweaver CS6. This is the error message I receive: "An account with the same email already exists in Business Catalyst. To associate the Business Catalyst account with your AdobeID, please log in to the Business Catalyst web administration console."

There is no need to install the Business Catalyst extension in Dreamweaver CS6. Business Catalyst is incorporated into the program.
