Dreamweaver CS6 performs very slowly when using Bootstrap

I'm working with a Bootstrap template that includes alot of JavaScript and CSS files, and Dreamweaver CS6 performs EXTREMELY SLOWLY when working with this site.
It takes a few seconds to be able to scroll, especially when working in "Split" view, and everytime I want to Preview the page in a browser I must save the file and then wait 2-5 seconds for the save to complete before I hit Preview or else Dreamweaver will crash.
I've checked for updates to Dreamweaver CS6 but my copy seems to be up-to-date.
Any suggestions?

Dreamweaver performs very slowly.
This depends on a number of factors.
The operating system - apparently the latest version of Mac OS causes all sorts of problems
Processor
RAM
Disk space
External links to scripts and style sheets
In my case, I do not have a problem other than the normal ones

  • Dreamweaver CS6 runs very slowly on OSX Mavericks

    Hi All,
Hope someone can help, I upgraded to Mavericks on my Mac, but now Dreamweaver CS6 runs incredibly slowly from launch to every aspect, even typing, opening pages, selecting menu buttons etc. It is in fact damaging my businesses productivity no end.
I have searched many forums, found one that suggested upating Java to jdk-7u45-macosx-x64, and other suggesting Java SE 6. I have tried both to little effect.
On this forum I saw a similar issues raised for Dreamweaver CC, where it was suggested to uninstall java 7, and then launch DW where a popup box would appear with a download for Java 6, but that doesnt happen for me on CS6.
Any and all help would be hugley appreciated!

    @AshBullam -
Can you please have a look at this thread http://forums.adobe.com/message/5831680#5831680 too. We have seen performance  degradations on opening files on relaunch and are looking into it.
Can you too try out the below steps :
Make sure you donot open files on relaunch
Close all other open applications and see if performance is better

  • Internet running very slowly when using external monitor.

I've used my HDTV as an external monitor for my various MacBooks for years with no problems. I bought a 17-inch MacBook Pro, and it worked perfectly doing the same thing for the first few months that I had it. Recently it has started to have very poor Internet speed, but only when I connect it to my TV. The Internet and my Airport Extreme are not the cause, as no one else in the house has this issue and my iPad loads sites as fast as it ever has. Plus, the MacBook Pro in question has an excellent connection once I disconnect it from the external monitor.
What could be the cause of this? I updated to 10.7.2 way back when it was released and only had problems very recently. Is there anything I can do without having to take it to the Apple Store?

Are you sure that the internet is running slowly?  Or, because you're using an external monitor, you're using more memory than before and you're having some issues with memory access?  You can open Activity Monitor and see how much free memory you have.
One other thing.  Are you using discrete video when you're connected to a monitor?  Or are you using the integrated Intel HD3000 video.

  • My 2011 macmini boots very slowly when d-link usb hub is connected.

I have a 2011 macmini that boots very slowly when my D-link 7 port usb hub is attached. The hub is the newest model and has three 3TB seagate external hdd's plugged in to it. Normally boot time is about 1 minute, with hub connected it's about 3+ minutes. Shut down time is also much slower when the hub is connected. If I unplug it, boot up and shutdown time is back to normal. Does anyone know if this is normal, or do I have a bad hub or external hdd's.

It's a bit normal, OSX checks or repairs most drives connected when booting.
Use Disk Utility to Repair the external Drives.
Also, Is Spotlight indexing these drives? Is Time Machine using any of them?
Have you tried one drive connected at a time to see if it's just one or 2 doing it?
Did you Install any Seagate Software?

  • My Macbook Pro won't charge when it's on, only charges VERY slowly when it is shutdown

My Macbook Pro won't charge when it's on. It only charges VERY slowly when it is shutdown. Recently when it was charging shutdown, I could not get it to turn on. The only way it turned on was by removing the charger from the Macbook Pro. This only happene one time but still wondering what is going on with this battery.
    Thanks for the help!

First see the MagSafe troubleshooting tips:Apple Portables: Troubleshooting MagSafe adapters and check to see that all looks ok.  You might want to try using another charger in case the charger is faulty.  If that doesn't help, take the MacBook Pro and charger to an Apple store genius bar and have the technicians test the system to see where the fault is.

  • Does 2012 mac mini get very hot when using logic pro

does 2012 mac mini get very hot when using logic pro

Are you saying that your machine does or is it an enquiry before buying ? I use a 2011 server model - well, it does get hot over a period of time, but I've very rarely heard the fan kick in, its a surprise when it does. As far as I know the casing has been specifically designed to conduct heat, rather than having any fancy grilles and so on, being so small in size. I haven't found it to be cause for concern, if that's any help.

  • InDesign CC is performing poorly, slowly when working with text.

InDesign CC is performing poorly, slowly when working with text. I tried updating and it seems like everything installed except for Extension Manager 6.0.7 which failed to instal. Any fix for this?

Thanks, I think the problem is solved. Previously, the CC Extension Manager failed to install when I did an update via the InDesign Help menu. InDesign CC updated successfully, however, InDesign was still acting wonky. Since downloading a new full CC Extension Manager a little while ago, InDesign seems to be working better. Is there a correlation between the two apps for future reference?

  • My iphone4 reacts very slowly when I use the button.Problem after updating to newest IOS

My Iphone 4 respond very slow when I use the button. The problem started when i updated to new IOS 6.0.1

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPhone shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

    Thanks.

  • DreamWeaver CS6 starts very slow on MacBook (Lion)

I am relatively new to the Mac, so I my need a little hand holding on this.
I signed up for two licenses of the Creative Cloud, one for home and one for work.
The one for work is on a late 2011 version of the MacBook Pro with Lion (10.7.5) running, 2.5Ghz i7, 8GB ram, and 7200 rpm drive.
I downloaded several packages: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Lightroom, Acrobat, etc.
When I launch PS, AI, or LR, they all pop up just fine, and run without issue (as far as I know).
When I launch DW, it just seems to hang for about 2.5 to 3 minutes before the screen actually pops up, and then it is not really usable as it doesn't seem to respond very well.
When I launch it on my PC at home, it flies. It is a AMD 6 core 3Ghz box with 8GB ram, and a 7200 SATA.
Other than operating system, the hardware is at least in the same ballpark.
I do not know how to troubleshoot this on the Mac. I am willing to try.
    Any help would be appreciated!

Try opening 'Activity Monitor' and watching the Dreamweave process to see what it does as far as CPU or memory consumption.
Also, is there anything running at the same time? It shouldn't been an issue, but try only opening Dreamweaver to see if you get the same results.
For comparison, I have a 2008 MacBook Pro running OS X 10.8.2 with 4GB of RAM, 7200rpm HDD, and a 2.5 Core 2 Duo and I'm running Dreamweaver as well as many other application (including Photoshop) and have no issues. I did not exhibit any issues on OS X 10.7 either.

  • Firefox is very slow when using RDP

Firefox is fast when using Windows directly. But when using RDP it is very slow. For example, empty new tab takes about 6 seconds to open. The RDP connection is fast and other programs response immediately (e.g. browsing of the same pages in IE is fast).
What is the problem with Firefox?

Could it be graphics hardware acceleration??
You probably need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.). On the remote system:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
Then restart Firefox. Does that make any difference?

Would cleaning out the preferences help Appleworks to run smoother? I noticed that was suggested in an earlier post.
Peggy's reply is spot on. Deleting the preferences won't make AppleWorks run smoother and it's not something you should do regularly. It's only a troubleshooting remedy - if the preference files are corrupted then it causes strange behaviour with AppleWorks.
The reason deleting your recent items makes AppleWorks smoother is because AppleWorks is programmed to check them regularly. And if there's a lot of them, then it takes AppleWorks a long time to check them. This causes AppleWorks to 'run a bit rough' – it's not just handling your typing, formatting, etc but also chasing up documents on your hard drive.
Hope the explanation helps a bit.
