Dreamweaver just quit working

I have been using Dreamweaver 8 for months on a windows xp
virtualbox. Today outof the blue i get an error message that says
"A problem was detected with your application. Please reinstall
this software to correct the problem" The title bar of the dialog
says "Macromedia Product Activation". I reinstalled it, deinstalled
it and reinstalled, deinstalled the whole of studio 8 and
reinstalled, etc. Fireworks and Flash work fine.
I tried some troubleshooting from the KB. I turned off the
start page, started windows in diagnostic mode and then safe mode.
No help.
Has anybody ever heard of this?

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.

My ipad glitched and just quit working and will not turn on now. Even if I hold down on/off+home buttons together. Any ideas?

Try:
1) Restart: To restart (reboot) Press and Hold the Home and Power buttons until the Apple Logo appears, about 10 seconds.
2) If that doesn't fix it, with the iPad connected to the computer, try a restore from within itunes on the sync computer.
3) If that still doesn't fix it, and you are near an apple store, make an appointment with the Genius Bar and see if they can get it going for you.

I need help - My illustrator CS2 just quit working. Can anyone help?

I went to open a file yesterday and illustrator just freezes on me. won't open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but no luck. My photo shop is working fine but Indesign now asks for serial number and then tells me it is not valid. Panic here as Adobe states they will not support/help me even if I pay. They say illustrator CS2 is to old. It does what I need for my business and must have it up and running again. Short of buying the update - does anyone out there know of something I can try to resolve this? HELP ME PLEASE???? Karen

K8N Neo Platinum Just quit working

My son's K8N Neo Platinum suddenly quit working while he was in a game last night - it just tured off with no warning.
It has power - the ethernet NIC light comes on when the power supply is on. But when you press the "on" button, the fans all just rotate about 1/8 turn and then nothing (at least all the case and vid card fans - the CPU and NB fans do not appear to start).
This makes me think the board just up and died. Is that a reasonable conclusion?
I've had no problems and no issues with it since I built the comp almost a year ago.

Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.

Then did a new phone software load, and put my songs and photos back on, still no sound. Some folks said it was 6.1.4 software problem, hold out for fix, Verizon is sending new phone....dont want to give up the phone i bought for refurb if its just software. Some forums say its defective sound module in Iphone 5, can be replaced with new sound module. how do i know and what should i do?

If no change after restoring the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup, it is not a software or iOS problem or every iPhone running iOS 6.1.4 would have the same problem.
An exchange under warranty will be a new or refurbished iPhone with no way to tell the difference.

Restore the phone, first from backup, and if that doesn't work, then as new. If that still doesn't resolve your problem, you'll need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation.

Dreamweaver just stopped working CS4...HELP!!

After about 6 weeks from purchase, today Dreamweaver CS4 just launched the green splash screem and thats it. I have unloaded, loaded twice but its not launching.
I downloaded the files from MY ACCOUNT, put in my serials numbers, get a GREEN CHECK MARK...and it loads after a bit of time. When I launch the GRENN SPLASH screen only pops up. I shut off all virus software, shut off XP firewall but the same results
Thats it...I am at my ends.. someone.....help....

Try step 4 in the following technote:

If that doesn't work, try #12, deleting your personal configuration folder. It's in the same location.
On Vista, it's located at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US\Configuration.
It's a hidden folder, so you need to enable hidden folders in Windows Explorer. Rename the folder to Configuration_old and launch Dreamweaver. It should create a new Configuration folder with the factory defaults.
Is it an Acer computer? There's a known conflict with Acer security software. Get the patch from here: http://www.egistec.com/oem-acer001/program-update.html.

Flash player just quits working fix

Recent malware infection causes flash player to fail? The kill-bit problem noted in this posthttp://forums.adobe.com/message/3432049#3432049 fixed it for me.

This issue has been solved by completely uninstalling the CA Security Suite (previousl known as VET) from this i7 64 bit system and by an Adobe Technician completly uninstalling the latest version 11 and reinstalling 10, although it did not work just by doing that.

My Photoshop Elements 6.0 for windows just quite working 4 days ago.

I have tried unistalling it and now i am trying to reinstalling it but it is saying needs disc one but i only have one disc? I called the support for adobe and she said they aren't allowed to help me cause 6.0 is out of date. Can anyone help me. I am running vista and can't get it installed now.

When you try that, make sure you right-click the program icon or Start menu item and select Run As Administrator. Running a program in an account that is a member of Administrators is not the same thing (as it was on XP).
If that doesn't work, you could be encountering one of the many reasons why PSE might crash or freeze, most of which are independent of the version of Windows. Unfortunately, these can be hard to diagnose quickly, and the best approach is to work methodically through all the known troubleshooting steps:

My iphone 4 just quit working but only at home

My wife and I both have had the new iphone4 for almost a month and they have been great until now. I have a full signal everywhere I go until I get about 200 yards from my house then it goes to searching for signal and my wifes does the same thing the phone worked fine in my house until Sunday and now nothing. Lightroom just quits working

Lightroom simply quit on me. The library, or back up library would open, then when I do one edit in the develop module, Lightroom simply quits. I've trashed the preference, no difference. I've open different back ups, no difference. I've had warnings that the library was corrupt, but it opened anyhow. I cannot loose all this work. This is a disaster. Now what?

I have a 2006 15" Macbook Pro with a broken Superdrive and my external USB one just quit working

Why can my LG Portable Super Multi Drive (GP08NU6B) burn discs, but not read them? Right after I burn a DVD successfully, I stick it back in the drive and it says "The disk you have inserted is not readable by this computer" I have a 2006 15" Macbook Pro with a broken Superdrive, and this external disk drive is the only optical drive that worked via USB. This external drive was bought in 2010 and worked fine up until a month ago. This is supposed to be a Plug and Play device, and LG assures me the drivers are already included in Mac OSX, yet it seems somehow my Macbook lost the drivers and it won't let me watch DVDs now or recognize any discs at all!
How can I find and somehow reinstall the firmware for this optical drive?

Sounds more like a hardware issue to me.
