  • Can't drive mapping with jre1.4.2_11

I need to drive mapping with jre1.4.2_11 in Windows applications but I can't.
If you change the file java.policy with all permission then the drive mapping works properly. But if you want to add permission only for the drive mapping?? Anyone knows about it??

First, you are not addressing Apple here. This is a user to user technical support forum. If you want to let Apple know something, you use this feedback link. [www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html]
As far as the voicemail, it had to be setup the first time, maybe they took care of it for you at the carrier. I'm not sure where you are, however if you are on AT&T, they will reset your password for you, you can log in with that, and then reset the password to something that you would remember easily. The voicemail password doesn't always get deleted when updating, but sometimes it does. It didn't for my update, but it did for my son's.

  • Creating a new folder and drive map with Preferences

So I am trying to set things up using GPP so that users of a particular security group get a U:\ drive at the following location:
    \\server\share\%username%
I have set up the drive map preference & also a folders preference (to create the user's folder).  The problem is that it works BACKWARDS and the drive tries to map prior to folder creation and thus fails, THEN the folder gets created.  So
that the 2nd time the user logs in they actually get the U:\ drive at the correct location.  The goal is to have the folder created and mapped to on the 1st try for the user.
How can I get this working WITHOUT resorting to scripts, folder redirection, or manually setting the U drive on the AD Profile?  I just want that folder to be created for only users in the proper security group, and then have the drive map
    to it.
    # When I wrote this script only God and I knew what I was doing. # Now, only God Knows!

You cannot. The execution order of GPO parts (called Client Side
Extensions) cannot be changed, so you're stuck with this error if you
    don't resort to a script :)

  • Re: Drive Mapping with GPO from Server 2008 R2 to Windows 7 Pro

    Justin,
I didn't think of that. They are all OEM at the minute.
However, I've been testing the mappings using an RDS server with their credentials. There's nothing on that platform that would be causing a drive letter conflict.
Still at the drawing board I'm afraid.

    Good morning Spice-heads,I've got an issue with GPO and drive mappings. They're set in the standard way, new GPO linked in the root of our domain - through User Configuration, Preferences, Windows Settings, Drive Maps.They're all set as below;
They have also been set with Item Level Targeting with security groups and set to run in users context. The issue I'm having is that some users are logging in, the policy is running without issue and all is fine. Other user are logging in and only receiving the home drive and a business wide share drive that is targeted to \Domain Users.I've looked at gpresult, there is nothing in there that I can see that would explain why the drives are not being mapped - help?!Thanks,Tonka

  • RVS 4000 wont vpn

I am having a hard time using the Quick VPN client to connect into my RVS4000.  I am using Windows 7 64-bit.  When I try connecting I get the following error:  The remote gateway is not responding.  Do you want to wait? If you click yes, the box reappears.  If you click no, the current session disconnects.
I have tried opening remote management, changing the vpnserver.conf file for another IP address.
Any other ideas.  I have seen many people with the problem, but non of them have worked for me.
On a second note, one of my users are using a Mac.  Will QuickVPN work on Macs?
    Thank you,
    Daniel

  • V31.5 no longer works with IMAP over VPN - v31.4 is OK

I have been using TB for several years with IMAP accounts accessed over VPN. This was working fine until I upgraded to v31.5. After this upgrade, TB would leave rotating circle symbol indefinitely (more than 15 minutes, no timeout message or error message). This was only happening with my IMAP account subscriptions over VPN - POP accounts were still working perfectly. With the VPN IMAP accounts the message preview did not update (no new messages, old messages no longer on the IMAP server still showing on preview pane). Had my IT guy spend over an hour checking everything at the VPN / IMAP host end and he was unable to find any problems - he advised the system showed what looked like a normal connection between my PC and the mail server.
I then tried deleting the IMAP account subscriptions from TB, shut down & restarted, then tried re-creating IMAP subscriptions - still no go. We tried a different e-mail client and it worked fine with the same IMAP accounts over the same VPN connection. Ended up uninstalling TB (v31.5) and installing v31.4 - all working fine again on v31.4.
I might add it has taken an amazing effort to find a way to report this problem - I've had to create an account just to send comment - a bit overboard for a non-programmer.
Even when I uninstalled v31.5 I was offered an option to report feedback - but it brought up a dead link in my browser.
Aside from this problem I am a very happy TB user and extend my sincerest gratitude to those who have made this fantastic product available to users around the world. Thank You.

Maybe it is this bug: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154969
The decisive effect is 'Improved window management' - if this effect is enabled kwin works normally.

  • Image map with hotspots refuses working in Google Chrome

I made a page with an image map with a few mouse-over's to swap images. Everything is working fine, but the image map refuses working in Google Chrome. It's a little complicated to explain, so here my link. You can see the broncode if you want.
    http://users.telenet.be/gepo/X_Tests/mouse_over.html
To see the misfunction, you need to open the link in Chrome.
Is there a workaround for Chrome ?

Thanks for the link. Clicking off the 'Overlap Items Below' button fixed the issue. The other tip, test your site on different platforms, mobile devices and browsers – it was working in Safari but not in Chrome .

Thanks fpr your help and response

    Hello,
Are you trying to ping the IP address of the clients behind the routers or the computer name? You will need to use the IP addresses only unless you add the names to the LMHOSTS file in your PCs. Also, if there is any antivirus or third party firewall software running on those clients it will block the PC from replying to pings from an untrusted subnet. For example you ping from R1 with 192.168.100.1 to a PC behind R2 that has 192.168.101.x. Because the antivirus or firewall software on the PC sees that the ping request is coming from a different subnet it will block the response. You will need to either disable any security software or add the untrusted subnet to the trusted list in that software. Sometimes it is best to test by pinging something that does not have any software, such as a printer or print server.
    Please keep us updated.

  • Saving files over VPN to mapped drive

    Hi,
looking for a solution to force users to save files to a mapped drive connected over VPN running off an SBS 2008 server.
This topic first appeared in the Spiceworks Community

You take about 2010 Section One to 2011 Section One?
So I presume there are more than one section? Have you not used the Book feature in Indesign, under File>New Book and then all the sections of a book go into a book file, which controls things like the pagination (if you want) and other things? You can then package the entire book (all the sections) at the same time).
You could also copy the sections to a new folder. Then use Adobe Bridge to Batch Rename all the files in the folder? Would that help? http://www.communitymx.com/content/article.cfm?cid=A4B43
From InDesign when you use File>Open there are 3 options  in the bottom left hand corner - you can choose to open the Original or a Copy and the Copy will open up as Untitled, meaning you can resave it anywhere. This works well if you're doing it on a file-by-file basis, and you can then save your files to the new location without worrying about overwriting the old ones.

  • ORA-01461 Error when mapping table with multiple varchar2(4000) fields

(Note: I think this was an earlier problem, supposed fixed in 11.0, but we are experiencing in 11.7)
If I map an Oracle 9i table with multiple varchar2(4000) columns, targeting another Oracle 9i database, I get the ORA-01461 error (Can't bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG).
I have tried changing the target columns to varchar2(1000), as suggested as a workaround in earlier versions, all to no avail.
I can have just one varchar2(4000) map correctly and execute flawlessly - the problem occurs when I add a second one.
I have tried making the target column a LONG, but that does not solve the problem.
Then, I made the target database SQL Server, and it had no problem at all, so the issue seems to be Oracle-related.

    Hi Jon,
Thanks for the feedback. I'm unable to reproduce the problem you describe at the moment - if I try to migrate a TEXT(5), OMWB creates a VARCHAR(5) and the data migrates correctly!! However, I note from you description that even though the problematic source column datatype is TEXT(5), you mention that there are actually 20 lines of text in this field (and not 5 variable length characters as the definition might suggest).
Having read through some of the MySQL reference guide I note that, in certain circumstances, MySQL actually changes the column datatype specified either at table creation time or when interfacing with other databases ( ref 14.2.5.1 Silent Column Specification Changes and 12.7 Using Column Types from Other Database Engines in the MySQL reference guide). Since your TEXT(5) actually contains 20 lines of text, MySQL (database or JDBC driver .... or both) may be trying to automatically map the specified datatype of the column to a datatype more appropriate to storing 20 lines of text.... that is, to a LONG value in this case. Then, when Oracle is presented with this LONG value to store in a VARCHAR(5) field, it throws the ORA-01461 error. I need to investigate this further, but this may be the case - its the first time I've see this problem encountered.
To workaround this, you could change the datatype of the column to a LONG from within the Oracle Model before migrating. Any application code that accesses this column and expects a TEXT(5) value may need to be adjusted to cope with a LONG value. Is this a viable workaround for you?
I will investigate further and notiofy you of any details I uncover. We will need to track this issue for possible inclusion in future development plans.
    I hope this helps,
    Regards,
    Tom.

  • Jabber call to voice mail fails with fast busy over VPN

I have an issue that I ran into with CIPC phones over a VPN.  If a CIPC phone called over a VPN and started ringing a phone the call would fail with fast busy at the time the call would be forwarded to voicemail.  I found the issue was when remote the CIPC phone would negotiate the g.729 codec, when forwarded to a voicemail pilot over a SIP trunk set to g.711 the call would fail due to codec missmatch when no transcoders are present.
So now I am running into what I believe to be the same issue with Jabber, when on premise the calls to voice mail work just fine, but when remote they fail.  I can directly call the voicemail pilot without error, but if calling a phone the call gets fast busy at the point we are forwarded to voicemail.  Even though all my regions are set to talk to all other regions on G.711 and the voicemail SIP trunk is set to G.711, I believe with the new features in CUCM9 that a lower speed codec has been negotiated since the we are going over the VPN, or Jabber has done this as it knows it's over VPN (not sure).  WIth CIPC I could go into the settings and turn off the Optimize for Bandwidth check box and the call would negotiate G.711.  With Jabber I can't find anything that would tell my Jabber client to stay on G.711 and I can only imagine this is a codec missmatch as the following are true.
    1. CIPC and Jabber share the same line
    2. VPN established and CIPC optimised for low bandwidth un-checked
    3. Over the same VPN the CIPC phone can leave a voicemail
    4. Over the same VPN the Jabber client gets fast busy once forwarded to voicemail
    5. Voicemail environment is Exchange-UM over SIP trunk
    6. SIP trunk is assigned a Device Pool, that is assigned to a region that all other regions communicate G.711 to
    7. On CIPC if optimised for low bandwidth is checked I get the exact same issue as I get with the Jabber client (fast busy when forwarded to voicemail)
Would anyone know what I can do in CUCM 9 to fix this issue, as said no issue when all devices are on premise.  Wondering if there is a service parameter or a way to change the codec selection so the Jabber client attempts to always negotiate G.711.  The correct answer would be to get some PVDM DSP resources and kick up a transcoder in my resource group, and that may be what I talk them into doing if I have no other options.

We have been getting the exact same thing for almost a year now... since switching to FiOS Digital Voice in May of last year!  Every time I call in to report it they 'escalate' the issue but it never gets resolved.  The problem seems to be in the initial connection.  Most of the time it works fine but, several times a month, after I call to get messages and it starts to play the new message it goes dead and I get the busy signal.  I get the same message when I call back:  “I’m sorry – that account is in use at this time.  Please try again later!”  I have even called in with my cell phone and get the same message!  I HAVE EVEN used the Internet to see if I could get my messages and, when I hit Play, I get a pop-up saying: “Your Voice Mail box is currently in being accessed; please try again later.  If the problem continues, please contact our Customer Support Center at 1-888-553-1555. We apologize for any inconvenience.”  This is obviously a software bug that Verizon has no clue on how to troubleshoot OR fix!!!  I wonder how many people have the problem and just don’t bother reporting it because of the hassle?  When it first started happening they destroyed my entire mailbox and I had to re-enter the complete mailbox setup again – 3 times!!!  NEVER let them talk you into that!!!  It’s their problem and they need to fix it!!!!!!!  I wish I could go back to the ‘normal’ voicemail we originally had… they want hundred$ to switch back because I’d be breaking my #$@%^&* contract!  Good luck if you have Verizon………

  • Can't Log In with Lync 2013 Windows 8 App over VPN

    Howdy,
I've downloaded the Lync 2013 App to Windows 8.1.  When I type in my work email, I can't sign in.  I get that the server isn't available or doesn't support Lync.
    The error is attached.
I can't find a forum for the Lync App itself so I'm hoping to be redirected or since this has to be an easy question, someone might answer it here.
I'm logged in on our VPN and I'm working around this issue right now with RDP to my desktop and signing in to Lync 2010 there.  This is for the purpose of doing my class this next week from home and showing Yep, I'm really available over Lync.
What is really desired is to get Lync on my remote machine working but there's no real Settings page on the App.
Apparently it does pick up the VPN and tries to sign me in:
However, there's not much of a way to configure anything.  I can't find a "Settings" page. Tried uninstall/reinstall to see if I didn't fat finger something.
Lync 2010 is set up on company laptops to work over VPN correctly from home so I can't imagine it's this hard.  I think the "oversimplified" approach of just putting in the email address and (I'm theorizing) letting Lync detect VPN or not,
can I log in, etc. or whatever it does, this isn't working.  And of course, it's Encapsulated. :)
OK, I have a work around, it's not a do or die issue here.  I'll RDP to my desktop, sign in and Lync will show me available.  I'll set my location as Home during the hours of the class.
But ... it's always REALLY annoying when you KNOW it's a simple setup procedure and if that's just found ...
    Thanks for any help.

Hi, I got my Mac in 2009 with photoshop elements on it - it's recently been wiped, however before the process we put Photoshop onto a hard drive, we then copied it back over and it no longer works, I'm getting error code 150:30 and I'm being asked for a password... any ideas how to get it working again?

You can never, never migrate an installed copy of PSE. It's just too complex and you can't get to all the bits and bobs.
First you will have to download and run this:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
which will not seem to do anything, but is necessary to break the links within PSE so that you can pitch the bits manually. Then you will have to go around, not only to applications, but also to your username>library>preferences and most importantly to the library at the top level of your hard drive>application support>adobe, and remove everything you can find. Spotlight will not help with this kind of search, so don't try that.
Then you can install PSE from scratch.

  • No Internet Access with Static IP and RVS 4000

I have an RVS 4000.  I have several PC's to which I have assigned static IP addresses.  I have recently upgraded most of the PC's to Win 7 (64) machines.  I updated the firmware on the RVS4000 to 1.3.3.5 in conjunction with this.  After such update (and actually before as well) I could not assign a static IP address to a PC and have access to the internet.  It connects fine to my LAN, just no internet access.  This is also affected on several other machines running Win XP and Win 2003 Server, so it's not just this computer.
    I have:
         1.  Shut down (powered off/unplugged) everything, router, DSL modem, switches, server, etc.
         2.  As I said firmware is current.
         3.  Yes, DNS servers and gateway, subnet, etc. are all correctly specified on the PC.
         4.  Router is set for gateway mode.
         5.  Set to only IPV4.
The only way it allows internet access is to use DHCP.  I've even tried taking the IP address via DHCP and manually assigning the DNS servers and that works fine, but as soon as I assign a static IP internet access is immediately gone.
There must be something I'm missing, but I can't seem to find it.
Everything worked fine prior to the conversion of the Win 7 machines, i.e. I had several PC's with static IP's and no problems.
    Any thoughts appreciated.

As an addendum, if I turn off the Firewall (internet access policy to disable) it will allow the static IP computer to have internet access.  I have the DHCP range set to be .5 - .54 and am using a static ip outside this range.  The Internet access policy is to restrict those PC's getting IP via DHCP.

    Javier,
What version of Tarantella are you running? The reason I ask, is that
since v3.30 you also need to run
         $ tarantella start cdm
    Also see
    http://www.tarantella.com/documentation/sgd/ee/3.42/help/en-us/base/standard/cdm.html

We have changed the server of linux that supports tarantella. We have
installed tarantella on redhat 8 and worked perfectly. I have installed
the tarantella enhancement module for windows and activated in the array
manager the option " let users access client drives " but on having
entered the session of windows not does not appear the local hard disks.
There is something more than I have to do in order that me it works? Thank
    you for yours help
If you are using WINS the problem appears to be one of WINS name mapping.
Check if the Tarantella server is not on the same subnet as the Windows
    Terminal Server that you
are using to run your Windows applications.
You need to add the Tarantella server to each of the Windows Terminal
    Servers as a WINS server.
After that you may need to restart the Windows terminal Server.
    Hope it helps.
