Amazon songs have never had DRM.  The iTunes Store sold DRM-encumbered tracks until mid-2009.  The iTunes Store now only sells songs in non-DRM "iTunes Plus" format, although new DRM tracks still show up occasionally in free playlists and in podcasts.
The old DRM-encumbered tracks cannot be converted to MP3.  You can upgrade them to iTunes Plus for 30 cents apiece (USA prices) or you can use iTunes to burn them to an audio CD, which can be used like any other audio CD.

  • Custom converter for h:selectManyCheckbox, no getAsObject call

    Hello.
    I have a strange problem with my PersonConverter. This converter should convert object of type Person. Implementatin of these classes is not important. So I defined it to faces-config.xml:
    <converter>
      <converter-for-class>x.y.Person</converter-for-class>
      <converter-class>x.y.PersonConverter</converter-class>
    </converter>In my jsp page I have:
    <!-- List<Person> Bean.getSelectedPersons() -->
    <h:selectManyCheckbox id="xyz" value="#{bean.selectedPersons}">
      <!-- List<SelectItem> Bean.getPersons() -->
      <!-- SelectItem oneItem = new SelectItem(person, person[i].getName()) -->
    <f:selectItems value="#{products.persons}"/>
    <h:message for="xyz"/>
    </h:selectManyCheckbox>
    When I access this page I get requested result, eg. checkboxes with names. There are printlns in  getAsString() and getAsObject() so I see that getAsString() was called. However when I submit page I cannot see call to getAsObject() (eg. the println) and on page I get:Conversion Error setting value 'Thomas' for '#{bean.selectedPersons}'. (Assuming that I checked checkbox with label 'Thomas', If I don't check anything, there is '').
    What am I doing wrong please?
    I also tried giving the converter id and adding <f:converter id="personConverterId"/> between h:selectManyCheckbox tags, but it was same.
    Thank you.

    Thanks for your support.
    I found that #{bean.selectedPersons} evaluated to Set so I added selectedPersonsList property which just creates ArrayList from Set. This is pretty stupid, I'm sorry. Next time I'll look twice before posting.
    By the way, thanks for tutorials on your blog. It helped me a lot with understanding JSF.

  • Use of converter-for-class

    Hello,
    I start to use Jdev11 TP4.
    I have written my own converter which performs "trims" on character fields. This converter works fine when I apply it to the adf input texts which are present on my jspx pages.
    But I would like to apply this converter on all "adf input text" fields.
    To do this I have added the following lines in my faces-config.xml files :
    <converter>
    <description>Trim the fields</description>
    <display-name>FieldTrimer</display-name>
    <converter-for-class>oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.input.RichInputText</converter-for-class>
    <converter-class>lu.ehl.lp.converter.MyFieldTrimer</converter-class>
    </converter>
    The tag <converter-for-class> is always underlined in "red" saying that Reference to oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.input.RichInputText is not found.
    And the input fields on my jspx pages are not trimed...
    Could somebody help me to solve this problem ?

    Hi,
    please send me a testcase. Put the testcase in a zip and rename the zip to unzip. my mail address is in my profile

  • Opinions of iSkysoft iMedia Converter for Mac?

    Looking for a solid, versatile movie converter app that I can use with iMovie. I have use several "free" apps, with varying degrees of satisfaction. iSkysoft iMedia Converter for Mac SEEMS to be very good, but I'm not finding a lot reviews of the Mac version. Can anyone:
    1) Offer opinions of this product, or
    2) Suggest good alternatives

    Yes, you have to convert your files to QuickTime first.  That's because your camcorder records MPEG2 clips (from your other discussion thread)  You have to do the conversion no matter what.
    MPEG Streamclip has a batch convert option that enables you to convert more than one file at a time.
    But merging the clips in MPEG Streamclip or iSkysoft is not particularly useful if it doesn't work properly (out of sync audio, bad video quality ...)

  • A collection of FLV downloader, FLV player, and FLV converter for Mac

    [http://www.pavtube.com/christmas2009/]
    A collection of FLV downloader, FLV player, and FLV converter for Mac
    Are you prepared to download FLV videos from YouTube, Google Video, metacafe, Yahoo! Video, Reuters.com, and many other video websites to play on your Mac or portable players, or do some further editing with certain editors? In my experience, assuming you have this idea, you must take advantage of three kinds of tools, including FLV downloader, FLV player, and FLV converter to achieve the goal.
    Of course, I am not speaking this to depress you, but to share my collections of these tools to show my kindness. Sure, just for people who have these needs.
    At first, I’ll introduce you several FLV downloaders for Mac, I have tried all of them, and basically they can achieve my goal of downloading FLV videos online.
    Free FLV downloaders for Mac:
    Web Video Downloader for Firefox
    Free Video Downloader for Mac
    Free YouTube Downloader for Mac
    I also know some free FLV players, and recommend them to you here, hope they can assist you to play FLV videos on your Mac smoothly.
    Free FLV player, Mac OS X:
    Adobe Media Player
    Wimpy FLV Player
    QuickTime, after installation of the Perian video plugin
    SWF & FLV Player
    CorePlayer
    (Tip: the above pieces of software can easily be searched in Google, so I do not give you the links here. I’m sure you can get them with ease.)
    Well, we have gone through the FLV downloaders and FLV players in the above passages, now it’s time to introduce you a FLV converter for Mac. This program I recommend is Pavtube FLV Converter for Mac, which can perfectly convert FLV videos to a wide range of video formats, so that you can do whatever you like with the resulted videos, such as playing on your iPod, iPhone, BlackBerry, PSP, Apple TV, etc. or exporting to iMovie, Final Cut Pro and Final Cut Express to do further editing, or doing something else as you like. But how to use it? You may ask me. Take it easy, a step-by-step instruction is involved in the following part.
    1. Download, install and run this program
    A sky-blue interface will be shown to you as follow:
    2. Add files, set output format and destination folder
    Input FLV files to it by clicking button “Add”, and select a format as the output format in the drop-down list of “Format”, meanwhile, you can press “Browse” to specify the destination folder or just use the path set by default.
    3. Set advanced settings
    Click button[b] “Settings”, the following interface will pop up. You can change the parameters like screen size, bit rate, frame rate, sample rate, etc. to optimize the output videos.
    4. Convert
    This FLV Converter for mac can definitely complete the conversion at a swift speed with excellent quality, also it do not have the problem of audio-video out of sync. Therefore you need not worry about these issues. Moreover, if you want to add watermark as your own logo or reserve your copyright, you can totally do it with this program.
    Ok, the introduction to the three kinds of tools which you may need while dealing with FLV videos is over, sincerely hope they can deliver you useful information, because you know, it’s my original intention.

    Hi Greg,
    So if I understand correctly, your findings are:
    Flash Player 10.1.85.3 + Flash Media Interactive Server = Jerky Video
    Flash Player 10.0.x.x + Flash Media Interactive Server = Smooth Video
    Flash Player 10.1.85.3 + Wowza = Smooth Video
    And what about Flash Player 10.0.x.x + Wowza?
    Also, if you could check the network traffic to confirm if it's Flash Player causing the issue or it is receiving it like that from FMIS.
    Cheers

  • Video Converter for wmv, avi, etc. on Mac Platform

    Does anyone know of a good converter for Mac to put wmv and avi videos (and a few other formats) onto an iPod? I've tried the Prism software that is listed in the downloads section of the Apple, but the video quality is spotty and the audio is always out of sync by 10 seconds or so.
    "Drag and drop" and "Add File to Library" doesn't work for a file that isn't mp4.
    I saw a recommendation for something called WinFF in another forum, but it talks about Windows and Ubuntu, not OS X or Leopard.
    Thanks.

    MPEG Streamclip - it's freeware.
    Note, though, that WMV files may require the paid Flip4Mac Player Pro plug-in for QuickTime to allow export to other file types.

  • MTS-M2TS Converter for Mac or HD Converter for Mac or Click Wrap?

    I am purchasing a Pansonic LUMIX DMC-ZS19K and it's HD format is 1080/60p. Which of the following softeares would be the most simple and effective to play/edit in iMovie:
    MTS-M@TS Converter for Mac
    HD Converfter for Mac
    Click Wrap
    It is quite irritating that one must always do work arounds with Macs!

    That's a very general statement of yours, and the 'pros' using FCPX and 2k, 4k, 60p, 100p, 120p will tell you, 'not supported by Mac' is silly wrong (I'm using 1080/50p almost daily on a Mac ...)
    iMovie, topic here, supports in its latest incarnation AVCHD v2, so, if your cam is within those specs, 1080/60p is no prob. ... btw: just try it , no need for academic discussion....

  • Is there a converter for the Mac Mini

    I have a Mac Mini - here, in the States.
    I may have the opportunity to spend time in England and would love to bring the computer with me. Did Apple make a power converter for it? Would DC power hurt the MINI? Anyone have any suggestions?
    Thank you for your help in advance,
    Jackie

    Yes mooblie - it was helpful.
    It's been a rough day - and you do not know me to understand - I didn't need anything "extra" added - I can only handle so much in a day...
    I've been on line with a young thing - who has been having temper tantrums and says I'm condescending - when all I'm doing is helping her identify a font for a project and wishing her luck on it.
    I think folks have forgotten the interaction that actual conversation offers. And yes, I may be considered in the stone age - to yourself, as my friend Scott would tell you - "she is old enough to be your grandma" always hated him for saying it - but it does make me laugh... and most likely, true!
    Shall we start again. I have a Mac Mini in the USA - can I use it in England safely? If yes - how?

    does anyone know a free wmv converter for mac? I tried MPEG streamclip and wmv is the only format it won't convert the whole file for, it only does 10 secs and from what I know this isn't a demo.

    Only 1 thing I want to complain is it just support 50 files in a batch.
    Wish it could help though.

  • Best Video Converter (for Mac) For Use With CS5

    I need a good converter for a Mac Pro so that I can easily bring in AVI i
    nto CS5.
    Thanks.

    What sort of "AVI" are you talking about? An AVI is just a container/box/dufflebag for all sorts of stuff; Macs and QuickTime will handle a number of codecs stored in an AVI container, but not everything. So ultimately, a Mac converter might not do you any good if there isn't a decoder available for the Mac. For example, Lagarith and Ut are two popular lossless codecs that write to AVIs, but there are no decoders for Mac, so the AVIs are unusable there.
    Another thing to consider is that, in all likelihood, if a converter can open up the AVI on the Mac, then Premiere will be able to import it without any other necessary changes. Get MediaInfo to analyze the file and discover what is inside of it. Once you know that, we can make better recommendations about how to treat the file.

  • Any experience with Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac

    I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ100 camera, and I am unable to download my High Definition movies from the camera to my Mac.  I have tested out the Aunsoft Video Converter.  Is this the best programme?
    I can also get this bundled with a DVD ripper.  Will this work on my Mac, and can it convert or rip foreign DVDs (actually PAL but formatted for UK)?
    Ann-Marie Wasley

    I am using some Aunsoft programs. Hope my information helps somehow.
    The Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac is a nice program. I usually use it to convert my videos (AVCHD .mts format) that shot with my Panasonic camcorder to the Apple ProRes format for editing in Final Cut Pro X. Sometimes I also convert differnt videos to the MOV or MP4 format to watch on my idevices (iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, Macbook). The converter program worked nicely.
    It seems your Panasonic Lumix FZ100 camera also shoots video in the AVCHD (.mts) format. If you want to convert your video footages with Aunsoft converter you need firstly transfer the video files from your camera to Mac using the USB cable that comes along with your camera. Then load the videos from your computer into the video converter. The .mov
