Drop down menu in Muse

Hi,
I am trying to create a drop down menu exactly like this one:
http://www.scotiabank.com/ca/en/0,,2,00.html
It would be the one in the main menu (red bar).
Thanks,
Natalia

I don't have the means to make a video to show you, but here are my notes ...
  * fly out menu (roll over menu, disappearing menu, roll out menu) - create and place a regular 'automatic' menu, configure it to show only top level items. Then place a trigger from a composition widget over the top level menu item which will when rolled over make a panel appear, then disappear when you roll off of the trigger. A trigger is used for each top level menu item that requires its own 'fly out' sub menu. After the auto menu is in place, then ... / widget / composition / blank / drag onto canvas / keep as many triggers as needed, one for each top level menu item, delete the rest. Configure the trigger (described shortly), then place the trigger over the top level menu item to create the fly out sub menu upon roll over. To config the trigger select it then click fly out arrow for config menu, then ... position = scattered, show = on roll over, hide = on roll off of trigger or target, trigger on top. When done designing select 'hide all initially'.

Yes, you can create main menu and sub menu items , with default menu the sub pages will auto create sub menu items (you should select all pages from menu type option).

  • Drop Down Menu with images in Muse and Animate

    Hello,
i am trying to create a drop down menu with images as you can see on this website:
    http://www.kadewe.de/
In Adobe Muse the menu with all pages in it doesn't let me insert pictures.
With the empty composition widget i archived something similar but when once activated the action it doesn't close.
My last try was to build a menu in Edge Animate. The Problem i had was that when i used the action click, open URL.
Inserted in Muse the new page opens in the created animation and not on the same page fullscreen.
    What have i done wrong?
    Thank you for your answers.

I am having a similar problem. I have multiple widgets on a page -- menus, accordions, tooltips, slideshows. As soon as I 'activate' a widget (eg: expand an accordion or play a slideshow) it disables all the triggers below it, as well as all the hyperlinks. This seems like a bug... I hope there's a workaround?

  • Help with inserting drop down menu/pricing in Muse site

I know this is not a feature available directly in Muse, but are there other sites where I could get code to insert? View this website , the box on the right side where you can select from 3 dropdown menus and you get an updated price at the top. I don't care so much about the add to care function, I just want to have the dropdown/pricing.

The HTML code for a drop-down menu is as follows:
    <select>
       <option>Item 1: $9.95</option>
       <option>Item 2: $19.95</option>
       <option>Item 3: $29.95</option>
    </select>
You can add this code by clicking Option-> Insert HTML...

  • How do I create a drop down menu with Code Snippets and Flash CS5?

    Hi
I am wondering how to create a drop down menu using the Code Snippets and CS5?
There are some older tutorials out there and it would be nice if someone could create an updated drop down menu tutorial, and it might be me doing this after I have figured out the best and easiest way to create one, but before that I need some pointers.
    Thanks!
    Have a great day!

You can use panel widget to create manual menu where set to show target on rollover.
    Something like this :

  • How do I create this drop down menu?

I've been trying to figure out how to achieve this animated drop down menu and I just can't.  I've gotten somewhere in between (animation using the accordion panel, and the rollover effect using the composition).
Any help would be appreciated.  This is the example of what I'm trying to achieve.

    Hello,
you can create the same dropdown using tooltip composition Widget but the only transition that you can add on rollover and rollout will be fading.
    Please check the attached file.http://adobe.ly/1IxxKfO
Another alternate will be to create an animation in edge animate and use it in Muse as OAM File.

  • Drop-down Menu to Open URL for File Download

I am using Adobe Captivate 5.5 and was wondering if it is possible to create a drop-down menu that can be used to open different URLs for file downloads, kind of like the Attachments button Presenter has. Captivate seems to have a dropdown widget available but I can't tell if this would work for this purpose.

    Hi Theo
You can use any composition to create a menu with setting for show target on rollover and then link targets to specific pages.

  • Mobile drop down menu won't disappear once I have clicked one of the links in the drop down to take me to an anchor further down the page. I want the drop down to disappear upon clicking and scroll at the same time.

Basically I have a drop down menu, which i have tried to create numerous times with different widgets available in muse or as freebies on the net.
The menu within the drop down is a manual menu and each button links to an anchor on the page, so that when clicked the page scrolls to that anchor.
My problems is that once I have clicked one of the links to go to the anchor further down the page the drop down remains. For the purpose of User Experience and fluidity across the mobile design i would like the drop down to disappear on click of the anchor link. Is this possible?
    Many thanks,
    Lew.

    Hi Brad,
At the moment I have used an downloaded widget which utilises the acordian style to create the drop down. Here is a link to the Mobile version of the site - http://www.brainstormdesign.co.uk/phone/index.html

  • Drop down Menu from UNDER a banner?

Here is an image of what I'm trying to create in Adobe Muse. I want the pictured drop down menu to appear to come from beneath the banner menu when you hover over the word "Accommodations".
I got a response from a staff member that said this was possible using the "Tooltip Widget" and using a trigger on top of the banner. When I tried using this widget it was impossible to put the target and the tooltip trigger on different layers, or at least it was impossible for me to figure out how.
Thus, the trigger for the dropdown had to be under the banner (and thus UNCLICKABLE) in order for the drop down to appear to be under the banner.
Can someone please clarify whether or not this is possible using this program? Here is a link to the original discussion... http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1247488

Hmmmm.... you may have to look at an alternative method to execute this concept. Take a look at Edge Animate Not only can you creat this type of menu, but you will also have a more dynamic and vibrant menu

  • How Do You Build A DPS Drop Down Menu?

    Hello,
I've been working with Adobe DPS for a year and a half now, and also use edge and muse for some of the HTML5 solutions - though both Edge and Muse are still very unstable for my liking within a Folio.
However, I would like to build a "Drop Down Menu" that will work within a Folio. I have tried Edge, but, because of the resolution issues with Edge, I always get the Type "Appearance" being too large. With Muse, it is too inconsistent and works sometimes and does not work sometimes. So, is this a technique I should abandon until Adobe comes up with an answer/solution for us?
Is there a better way? InDesign allows me to create amazing drop down menu's, but, iOS does not support SWF files.
I'm stuck with no answers, can you help?
    Thank you
    Lain

I don't know if that is the only way. Someone else here may have a different solution.
Have you looked at Dreamweaver? It is a pretty powerful tool and is WYSIWYG. You should be able to create the necessary html and css (maybe java scipt and jquery too) there and use that in your html overlay.

  • MENU CC 2014 DROP DOWN MENU

First / thank you for your patience with this obviously stupid question ...but
I have tried to make unsuccessfully a drop down menu in both Muse and Edge to use within Muse a  > vertical > top down <not bottom up>  menu.
In the new iteration of Adobe 2014 design / they now have my much craved vertical drop down menu.
Free Edge Animate CC | Download Adobe Edge Animate free trial
So, might there be some kind person who  can point me to say, easy peasy lesson, script, downloadable file, video, you get the idea.
    Thanks

I can give a few suggestions on Photoshop CC 2014, but Lightroom is a separate forum and you should ask Lr questions there.
    First close Photoshop.
Then start Photoshop by double-clicking on it's icon and very quickly after that, hold down the ctrl-alt-shift keys until you see the reset dialog. answer "Yes" to delete settings, and let Photoshop continue to load.
It's tricky to do and may take a few tries, but at least it should reset Photoshop CC 2014 to defaults.

    Hello,
Where do you want to insert it in Muse. Do you want to add this in Muse Form widget then you can use the widget mentioned in the link below.
    Forms+ Bundle Widget – Widgets.Mu
If you want to insert it anywhere else in Muse and if you have the HTML codes for that then you can insert its codes in page from Object > Insert HTML.
You may also require to use some java scripts to make them working as expected.
