DTW Sort Error - after mapping during import

I got the "Sort Error - after mapping during import" message in DTW. (version 8.8)
I would like to import warehouse info for items.
My itemcodes are fix 15 character numbers, like this: 10204150020011
The note nr. [1331130|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/oss_notes/sdn_oss_sbo_dtw/~form/handler%7b5f4150503d3030323030363832353030303030303031393732265f4556454e543d444953504c4159265f4e4e554d3d31333331313330%7d] said that I can't use recordkey like this.
Do you have any idea how can I import thees information with DTW?
Thank you,
Attila Sarkady

Dear All
Please give correct and complete information
i have tested every kind of combination;
- recreate the template with the dtw for Items = i have UDF's
- ADD the column RecordKey   !!! unbelievable that we have to do this
- i have entered a nr 1 in it (even when we had already 850 items in the database)
(and of course the hints of Gordon - columns as text, start with basic... - and use CSV format)
now at last i can import the record line

  • DTW - Sort Error

For test purposes I'm trying to import some items (ca. 60) into SAP 2550A, SP01, PL12.
I use the original template Items.xlt where I filled out only the colums RecordKey, ItemCode, InventoryItem (always set to tYES), ItemName, ItemType (always set to itItems), PurchaseItem and SalesItem (both set always to tYES). RecordKey is always set to the value of corresponding ItemCode (as we are used to do it always). All other colums are left unchanged and empty.
I saved the template as a semicolon-separated csv-file. This file looks OK when checked using a text editor.
In DTW I selected oItems as object with the saved csv-file. Other sub-objects to oItems were not specfied. In step 3 of the wizzard under register Source Data all item-entries as defined in the csv-file appear correctly.
The import process ends up with the error-message "Sort Error - after map, please check ...". In the protocol the import process is stated as "successful", but no items are imported to SAP.
Before posting this question I checked other threads in the forum and the self-help but couldn't find any hints!
    Thanks for your help!

    Frank,
The version of SAP Business One 2005A SP01 PL 12 is very many patch levels behind.  I would first suggest that you download the latest SAP Business One 2005A SP01 patches and apply to Business One as well as the DTW.  The latest patch level is 23 I believe.

  • Preserve the sorting of a hierarchy during import to MDM

    Hi experts
I have imported a hierarchy from a legacy publishing system
The file is XML and itu2019s close to perfect except for one very important thing
The hierarch is sorted manually in the legacy system and not by any number or letters
This sorting has to be preserved throughout the entire migration
I know itu2019s possible to sort the hierarchy by hand in MDM by inserting a category as sibling.
This is what I need to avoid for potentially over 300.000 categories in all in many hierarchies.
Using the "create hierarchy filed" in the import manager, should display 4 fields instead of only 3
The last filed should be used to sort the hierarchy during import.
Iu2019m able to get a running number from the legacy to control the sorting of the categories.
    Hope you have a solution.
Please do not tell me that I just have to live with one more missing function in MDM.

    Hi again
Nobody had the same problem as me?

  • Optimizer error after golden Demo import

    Hello Guys,
    Need your help...!!!
We have imported golden demo files on 27th March. I am getting error when I try to simulate after manual adjustment. has anybody else faced this issue
    Regards,
    Dinesh Goyal

    Hello YS,
    Thanks for Reply..
We had imported old golden demo file which supports to Patch 1. David confirmed that there was some issue in earlier delivered golden demo file for Patch 1. We decided to upgrade to Patch 2.
We are having some issue in upgrade to Patch 2. We cannot upgrade Database to rev 69_4 as we are using Amazon HANA server. In Amazon HANA server, we cannot see option to upgrade from 69 to 60_4, we see directly from 69 to 70.
My question is, will it be an issue in golden demo if we upgrade database to rev 70.

    Hi,
You can overcome this issue by increasing the column width in the target database for the max value required for all data to be imported successfully in the table.

    HI all,
I transferred a few songs from my desktop to my laptop. The songs play fine in iTunes after the transfer. When trying to use the music in iMovie, it asks for authorization (I only have my songs authorized on 1 computer). I give my password and a messaage pops up saying that the authorization was successful. I try to import the song into iMovie and the message I get is:
    *Error During Import*
The file could not be imported: The file “(file path)” isn’t authorized for this computer.
    Any ideas?

  • Error in phase: ADD_TO_BUFFER in SPAM during import of SAPKB70017 and 18

    Hello
What is problem in this case? During import of SAPKB70017 and SAPKB70018 I get following error(there is no SLOG file in /usr/sap/trans/log):
The import was stopped, since an error occurred during the phase
ADD_TO_BUFFER, which the Support Package Manager is unable to resolve
    without your input.
After you have corrected the cause of the error, continue with the
import by choosing Support Package -> Import queue from the initial
screen of the Support Package Manager.
The following details help you to analyze the problem:
        -   Error in phase: ADD_TO_BUFFER

A prerequisite of the Support Package Manager is that the Change and

A list of the most important SAP Notes for Online Correction Support
(OCS) is available in SAP Note 97620, which is updated regularly.

    Hi Jan,
First, check whether your STMS is configured properly. Next check the transport directory and the transport tool from within STMS (system -> check in menu options).
If these 2 are ok, then you might check from within the OS layer by manually adding to buffer (tp add to buffer <Request No> <SID>).
Also, I am assuming you are doing this from client 000 with a non-standard user having proper authorizations.
I believe this to be an issue of permissions at the OS layer.

  • Strange Data Mapping Errors after SEM 6 Upgrade. Please assist.

Hi All, I encountered these sudden Mapping errors after I tried to do Testing in Post Upgrade Sand Box. Here I am trying to to perform Collected Reported Financial Data under Data Collection Method for a particular Company Code 3040. Kindly help me with some quick responses as this is kind of high priority. The errors and the Diagnosis Notes I am unable to follow as I do not where I shall write those Mapping Rules they are referring to. I do not even know if that need to apply any SAP Notes as such. Once again Highly appreciate your quick response and Many Thanks in Advance.
    Regards, BIP
Input conversion for field Period Value LC has invalid format Message no. UCT8210 Diagnosis The mapping rule for target field Period Value LC contains a move with a selected Input Conversion indicator. Therefore, the system performs an input conversion prior to creating the target data. However, an error in the input conversion occurred while moving the source key figure to the target key figure Period Value LC. This means that the format used for the input conversion is incompatible with the target data. System Response The system will not perform the move. Procedure Examine the mapping rule for field Period Value LC. Either select the Conversion Exit indicator or deselect the Input Conversion indicator. Execute the method again. -
3040 is incompatible with input format for field /1FB/COMPANY Message no. UCT8258 Diagnosis During execution, the method derives the source selection for source field /1FB/COMPANY from the mapping rule for the target field. 3040 is one of the values that were derived for the source selection. The system requires that this value is in the correct SAP-internal format because the Conversion Exit indicator has been selected in the move operator for field /1FB/COMPANY. However, the value 3040 is incompatible with the SAP-internal format. System Response The system attempts to interpret value 3040 as an external format and convert it to the internal format. If this fails, the system is unable to restrict the source selection using source field /1FB/COMPANY. In this case, the system may read more source data than was originally intended, which can affect performance. Procedure In the log, choose the Source button to display the source selections that are used to read the source data. When this appears, examine values selected for field /1FB/COMPANY. If the correct values were selected, you can ignore this message. To prevent this message from being issued, you can select the indicator in the mapping rule used by source field /1FB/COMPANY. If incorrect values were selected, make sure that the mapping rule used by source field /1FB/COMPANY has been defined correctly. If the mapping rule is correct and value (3040) derived for the source selection does not affect the overall result, you can ignore this message. If the source selection does not contain the value 3040 for field /1FB/COMPANY and, because of this, source data that is supposed to be read is not being read, make sure that the mapping rule has been defined correctly. If the source selection does not contain any value for field /1FB/COMPANY, make an estimation as to how much excess source data is being read and whether this might affect system performance. If you do not expect any performance problems, you can ignore this message. In any event, you have the following alternatives if the mapping rule is defined correctly, but the source selection on field /1FB/COMPANY is unsatisfactory: You can define a source selection for field /1FB/COMPANY in the Customizing settings for the method on the Selection tab page. Then the method uses this source selection instead of the source selection derived from inverse interpretation of the mapping rule. You can implement the Business Add-In (BAdI) UC_DATATRANSFER and use the method INVERT to determine the source selection on field /1FB/COMPANY. Then the method uses the result of the INVERT method for the source selection instead of the source selection derived from inverse interpretation of the mapping rule. -
Cannot derive the source selection from target field Version Message no. UCT8252 Diagnosis Field Version has one of the following roles: Consolidation unit Group currency key Fiscal year Posting period Version To delimit the volume of the source data to be read, the system usually derives the source selection from the target selection of such a field. Cannot derive the source selection from target field Group Currency Message no. UCT8252 Diagnosis Field Group Currency has one of the following roles: Consolidation unit Group currency key Fiscal year Posting period Version To delimit the volume of the source data to be read, the system usually derives the source selection from the target selection of such a field. However, the system cannot derive a source selection from field Group Currency. System Response It is possible that a greater volume of source data is being read than is necessary. This can lead to performance issues. Procedure Check whether a mapping rule is defined for field Group Currency. If a mapping rule is defined, you can disregard this warning message. 1 is incompatible with input format for field FISCPERIOD Message no. UCT8258 Diagnosis During execution, the method derives the source selection for source field FISCPERIOD from the mapping rule for the target field. 1 is one of the values that were derived for the source selection. The system requires that this value is in the correct SAP-internal format because the Conversion Exit indicator has been selected in the move operator for field FISCPERIOD. However, the value 1 is incompatible with the SAP-internal format. System Response The system attempts to interpret value 1 as an external format and convert it to the internal format. If this fails, the system is unable to restrict the source selection using source field FISCPERIOD. In this case, the system may read more source data than was originally intended, which can affect performance. Procedure In the log, choose the Source button to display the source selections that are used to read the source data. When this appears, examine values selected for field FISCPERIOD. If the correct values were selected, you can ignore this message. To prevent this message from being issued, you can select the indicator in the mapping rule used by source field FISCPERIOD. If incorrect values were selected, make sure that the mapping rule used by source field FISCPERIOD has been defined correctly. If the mapping rule is correct and value (1) derived for the source selection does not affect the overall result, you can ignore this message. If the source selection does not contain the value 1 for field FISCPERIOD and, because of this, source data that is supposed to be read is not being read, make sure that the mapping rule has been defined correctly. If the source selection does not contain any value for field FISCPERIOD, make an estimation as to how much excess source data is being read and whether this might affect system performance. If you do not expect any performance problems, you can ignore this message. In any event, you have the following alternatives if the mapping rule is defined correctly, but the source selection on field FISCPERIOD is unsatisfactory: You can define a source selection for field FISCPERIOD in the Customizing settings for the method on the Selection tab page. Then the method uses this source selection instead of the source selection derived from inverse interpretation of the mapping rule. You can implement the Business Add-In (BAdI) UC_DATATRANSFER and use the method INVERT to determine the source selection on field FISCPERIOD. Then the method uses the result of the INVERT method for the source selection instead of the source selection derived from inverse interpretation of the mapping rule
Input must be in the format ___,___,__~ Message no. 00088 Diagnosis Your entry does not match the specified input format. System Response The entry in this field was rejected. Procedure The entry must comply with the edit format. The following edit format characters have a special meaning: "_" (underscore) There should be an input character at this point; this should be a number for numeric fields. "." (decimal point) (applies to numeric fields) The decimal point occurs here (setting in the user master record). "," (thousands separator) (applies to numeric fields) This separator occurs (optionally) for more than three figures. Depending on the setting in the user master record, it can be a period or a comma. "V" (applies to numeric fields) The operational sign appears here. If used, it must by at the right margin of the field. The sign is either "-" or " "(space). "~" (tilde) (applies to numeric fields) As of and including this character, leading zeros must also be entered. Otherwise, this character has the same meaning as an underscore. Leading zeros need not be entered on the left of the tilde. They are not output at this position. All other characters have their normal meanings and must be entered in the same position as in the edit format.

    Hi Dan,
Could you Kiindly advise me where we need to write the Mapping Rules in Consolidation Monitor? All he time the errors refering to Mapping Rules. The only Tab I seen "Mapping" is in Data Basis But as per my Understanding Iwe do not have much to do there as it is system generated Mapping Tab.
Where we actually go and select/deselct those Input Conversion Indicator/ Conversion exit Indicator.
    Highly appreciate your advise.
    Thanks and Regards,
    BIP

  • "An Error Occurred During Import"

I am importing video from a Canon Vixia HF10 HD CMOS camcorder into iMovie 08. After the thumbnails are created, I select the clips I want and click on Import. I tried in a a Large (960x540) and Full (1920x1080) format and receive the same error message - "An Error Occurred During Import." I am then instructed to check the footage carefully and try again.
What could be causing this error?

I had exactly the same problem in loading files from by HF10 onto my iMac but I didn't have the same problem on my Macbook. So I tried to copy the clips from my Macbook onto the iMac but imovie on the iMac wouldn't recognise them ...
This suggested to me that the problem was with the Imac's version of imovie being unable to read the file types from the HF10.
I had, in parallel, been trying to fix an error shown when iMovie on the imac starts up :
"The QuickTime components necessary to view, edit, import, and export several kinds of movies are not installed. These components are included with the iMovie installer; please re-install"
The discussion and solution to this problem can be found under the "Missing QuickTime Components" discussion on this site however to save you time I have copied below fgalvani70's solution (Bravo !) which works perfectly ... both the missing component issue and the import issue are now perfectly resolved !!
1 - install software Pacifist (http://www.charlessoft.com/) (it's shareware but you can use without problems)
2 - Insert Original Apple installation disk
iMovie '08 missed a Quicktime Component called: “AppleIntermediateCodec.component”. This component is necessary for importing movies in iMovie 08.
So, just let Pacifist read the Install DVD and extract only the ‘AppleIntermediateCodec.component’ to the default directory.
    It's under Contents of BundledSoftware.mpkg -> Contents of AppleIntermediateCodec.pkg -> Library -> QuickTime
    Select AppleIntermediateCodec.component and click Install

  • Re:Error during import of Videos from SD card

Holiday Footage taken with an Olympus u Tough 3000, onto a ' 2Gb SD memory card', and then put through a Kingston Card reader Straight into iMovie (Ver: 7.1.4 ),
Starts to load OK, But after taking the prompted steps to import, (and it tells me that it is importing ), A window flags up saying "Error occurred during import, please REVIEW the imported movies CAREFULLY" ! So i click on "OK" the window disappears, and i am left wondering how the **** am i supposed to do that  ? .
But whats more, is My videos show as a new file in iMovies and i can see all the clips as thumbnails, but when the reader is ejected, and the card removed, Although a window shows My New 'Camera imports' file, i can niether see nor access the films in any way to do anything with them.
I am a Novice to this area of Mac, So please, be gentle with me ! Can someone Exlpain ( Clearly !) whats happening, and what i need to do ?
There are also photos on the same SD card that i will later want to put into ' Image Capture' So hope your replys will, if neccesssary deal with that too should the problem arise.
    Thanks in advance: Saligram.
