Dump-A newer version of data type "ZMNFLOCK" was found than one required

Hi,
I am getting dump in program when there is a select query on ZMNFLOCK table.
Error analsys is given as
Error analysis
The data type "ZMNFLOCK" was loaded from the database during the program run.
    However, a type of a newer version than the one requried was found here.
What could be the problem? my BASIS person says this is somewhere related to ABAP.
should i Adjust & Activate database by going to SE14 for ZMNFLOCK table.
Also noted that error is random in nature and its not coming everytime.

There could be an issue with in the table, As Dataelement or domain related to any field in table may have changed, And that field is not getting used aal the time, That's why Dump is coming randomly.
The best possible solution is to Activate and adjust database table through SE14, This will update table with all the updated versions.

Which SRM version are you using ?
By an chance have you created any new fields in the standard structure
'BBP_PDS_HSS_IC' using SE11 Transaction in SRM system. Please confirm the same by taking help of ABAP person here. Seems to be like the structure is not Activated completed.

Hi Experts,
we made a changes to a table and then transported the table to the quality system. But a program which is referring to this table, results in dump with the below error message.
Error Message>>>>>>>>>>" A newer version of data type <TABLE> was found than one required "
The issue occures inspite of
1. re-activated the table and send to quality system
2. Re-activated the program
3. Activated and adjusted database in SE14.
Please let me know the correction to be taken to resolve the issue.

This happens when you modify your new data element, domain while another program is currently using it.
Simply get out completely of the program, re activate the program, reactivate the table. You might need to run se14 to convert the database table but this does not happen frequently. Try first to reactivate the program

VL10 A - Data type "LIKPVB" was found in a newer version than required

hi Gurus!
in transaction VL10A i get a short dump that states that the data type LIKPVB was reloaded and but in a newer version than required in program RVV50R10C.
I checked the abap dictionary for the data type and it said that it was modified a month ago by SAP.
To my knowledge no new configuration or notes ware applied around this period.
The solution that the dump indicates is really wise "try to restart the program".
I searched for sap notes that would apply or sdn posts and came up empty.
Please help !

I am getting a short dump saying "A new version of the data type is present than one required".
The data type in my case is the Transfer structure for 2LIS_02_SCL. I am getting this short dump whenever i try to change the transfer rules.
I tried activating and deactivating the transfer and update rules but to no avail. Kindly advice.

Hi,
you could only limit the assigned internal number range to one object, which would allow only one document to be saved. The next creation would then fail since there is no number available.
This is the only solution I can think of, otherwise you need to program a BADI.

Hi Thomas,
I used DateNavigatorLegend and DateNavigatorMarking and did not give any default value or context mapping to the DateNavigator element.
The DateNavigator is now highlighting only the first dates of the ranges that I have created in the WDDOINIT method.The DateNavigatorMarking takes only one date not 2 dates in the properties So kindly suggest how to display multiple date ranges.

Demantra - Create New Series - Mdp_matrix - Data Type String Issue

I created a new series (MDP_matrix) that has the data type as String. The display format is BLANK.
I was able to load the data into mdp_matrix table for the series i created.
However, when i look at the series in a worksheet, it does not display the string value. It display zero. for some reason, it considers the series as numeric and not string. Any idea why that would be happening?
This is on version 7.2 using SQL server/tomcat

The version i am using is 8.1.7.
What is the capacity of CLOB in terms of english characters. Documetation says it is 4 GB.But it does not talk about length of characters..When i am trying to insert simple english text of length of 10000, i am getting following error:
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01704: string literal too long.
Even LONG datatype also can take up to 5000 only.
Can you suggest the best way to insert such a huge text..

Transferring primitive data types via UDP other than a String

Hi ALL,
I am new to Socket programming in UDP.
I need to implement a FTP client-server application.
Now the packet that I need to transfer using UDP as a DatagramPacket consists of multiple primitive data types, (3short types and 1 byte array of size 265.)
How do I do that?
All the samples and examples I managed to find on the Internet illustrated the problem of transferring a String type converted to getBytes and the byteArray is transferred.
However, in my case i need to pass this structure..(3fields) to the other side. If I convert the 4 fields to a single concatenated string there's this problem of finding out where each of the four fields begin and where do they end.
Please suggest and help...

Just create a class that represents your structure and convert-it to a byte array that can be sended over a DatagramSocket.

Which version of the OS is installed, and which version are you trying to install?
You could try starting up with Startup Manager and see if it will allow you to select the OS X install disc as the startup disk. If so, maybe you can proceed from there. I would recommend repairing the hard drive first since you are evidently having a bit of a problem with it.

Any idea when the next version or patchset of Data Modeler will be released?

I would also be happy to see an update that fixed some of the many issues that have been reported here but when I spoke to Sue Harper 3 months ago (just before she left Oracle) she said there were no plans on releasing a patch or update :-(

Newer versions of Firefox keep asking me if I want to go to a certain page because it's not "encrypted." Very annoying to have to click on three boxes everytime I go to check my webmail. Any suggestions? I dump the new versions to revert back to old FF.

I have tried updating FF a number of times, but each time I do, the "encryption" boxes keep popping up and I end up dumping FF. I love Firefox, and am wondering if I'm missing something or do other people deal with this problem?
