I am an apple new user. I am using ipad (Wifi+3G) and last night i intended to upgrade my ios from 3.2 to 4.3.3 version. I have plugged ipad with my laptop and before upgrading i tried to erase all data. I putted command and it started erasing data. During the process i intended to unplug usb. However, afterwards my pad is showing nothing but apple logo with busy sign.
1. Now what shall i do? to go back my 3.2 version?
2. Its not responding even after connecting (using usb) itunes. What will be my next steps using ipad again?

Ok i have it figured out. its simple and straight forward. clone (carbon copy cloner) the main drive to an external drive. Set the two drives as a stiped 0 raid. Then clone the external back. Let Time Machine do backups. Set back and let her fly.

just perform a restore from one of your backups on iCloud or your iTunes computer. You should post for help in the iPhone forum to get input from those most familiar with iPhones.

You may try resetting the phone. Hold down the sleep/wake button and home button wait until you see an apple logo then release and after a couple of seconds your iPhone's home screen should comes up

Also try this - Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

I keep getting the Software Update for Firefox 5.0. I try to update after viewing the informatiion choosing English and MacOS X. It downloads and then I get the message: "Acrobat could not open ‘Firefox 5.0.dmg’ because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been corrupted (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn’t correctly decoded)."

Sorry, Firefox 4.0.1 isn't supported any longer, that's why you are getting re-directed. Firefox 5.0 is a security update for 4.0.1; Firefox 4.0 didn't get that update, but Firefox 3.6.18 did. Best to stick with 3.6.18 until whatever you are using for those logins is updated for Firefox 5.0.

It's really been puzzling me, I've never logged in the Apple site on a laptop before - I have been getting the same message 'Unable to verify iCloud account' every time I try and erase all data and content from my iPhone 4s. When I go to iCloud on my laptop and sign in using my Apple ID it signs me in. These are the same log in details I am prompted for when trying to erase all data/content from the phone. Does anyone know if you need to do the IOS update to be able to restore all data and content? I have not installed the new update on either of my iPhone 4S's yet.
The phone I am trying to reset was sold to me by a friend and when it was it had already been reset and it was on the language selection screen.

Hello there, can someone help me please. I erased all data and settings last night and now my IPAD just shows a line across it with the apple logo. It is not responding to the on / off switch. I have connected the IPAD to my laptop so i can reinitilise it but nothing is happening - it doesn't appear as a device on my laptop (the USB port is working OK) Has anyone else experienced this and how did you overcome it? This "original file cannot be found" thing happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

I did find another point worth mentioning.
I use my iPhone 4 with a corporate Exchange email account. I had deleted the account from my phone just before I did this backup/restore process...and I thought my battery drain was much, much better (if not outright fixed).
Later in the day, after seeing my battery life improve to near-new behavior, I re-added my Exchange mail account. Considering I have 1 yahoo account and 3 gmail accounts, the Exchange account adds a 5th email account.
What happened? Battery drain back to "worst case". Removing or re-adding the Exchange account is like toggling between decent and terrible drain conditions.
Bottom line is that I re-added a couple dozen applications and battery life didn't change. By far, the Exchange account drains the battery worse than any other app and setting. This account must be polling very frequently and since people tend to send very large file attachments to that account, perhaps those effect the battery drain even though I have the account set to not download attachments.
Anyone running Microsoft Exchange might be able to confirm what I see? If so I can open an enterprise ticket with Microsoft and bug them on this issue.

You can not install iOS 5. It is no longer signed by Apple. You can only install the current version of iOS. For a 3GS, that's 6.1.3.
However... if you have 4.2.1 on your phone, odds are it is not a 3GS, it is a 3G. If that's the case, you've reached the end of the road for that. It can not run anything higher than 4.2.1.

You should really read the manual.

Restore. When given the choice, choose to use backup.
"And how can I check to see if the pics and videos are on my computer somewhere first??"
They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.

If you erase all data and settings, your phone will look just like it did when first taken out of the box. To get any data back on the phone would require either restoring from a backup...iCloud or computer, or syncing it back. How do you intend or hope to get your data back? You backup to iCloud? Sync to iCloud?

Why do you need to access your email? To reset the password?
