DVD from Elements 3.0 has no audio on Cyberlink Power DVD

I've burnt a DVD from Elements 3.0 which seems to go okay but when I put the DVD back in to the drive and open Cyberlink Power DVD, it plays without audio.
What's the griff with that?
Chummy

As a test of what Steve wrote, go back to PE, and Burn to Folder. Point CyberLink Power DVD to that folder and play from there. Do you get Audio?
I'm with Steve in that PE does a good, DVD-spec AC3 Audio file, that *should* play fine. CyberLink Power DVD is a good software player.
If you are not getting Audio, first place I'd check was the Audio setup on my system and then Ctrl-c from within Power DVD. What are the settings under the Audio tab there?
Good luck,
Hunt

  • Cyberlink power DVD activation key.

      Hello.
I have played DVDs on this Satellite C75D-A7102 before but now the Cyberlink app (Toshiba installed) Said I need an activation key to start the app. Win 8.1 with AMD A6 chip. How can I get this activation key? Cyberlink power DVD is not listed in the add/remove programs list but it was loaded from the factory. DVDs used to autoplay but do not anymore.
          Thank you in advance.

I have no solution to your specific problem. Your specifications above make no mention whatsoever of Cyberlink. What is mentioned, is the 'Toshiba Media Player by sMedio Truelink+'.  Given Cyberlink is NOT listed as an included software with your system, even as 'Trial Software', regardless of your assertion that it was factory loaded, I don't see there being any chance of obtaining an activation code for it.
Try the Toshiba Media Player instead. Personally, I like VLC Player, and I never have problems playing DVDs, CDs, MP3s, etc, or any kind of audio/visual media with it.
With regard to Autoplay, if it has in fact become disabled on your laptop, I would strongly advise you to leave it that way. One of the main ways viruses propagate themselves is through USB flash drives, burned CDs/DVDs and any portable/removable media. The infected machine puts the virus on the removable media, often using Auotplay to do so, and when that media is then put in any other un-infected machine, the virus can then use Autoplay to infect this unit. Disabling Autoplay is one way to help prevent the spread of viruses.

  • Source of strange Thumbnail in Cyberlink Power DVD Player?

    Hi!
My client just showed the DVD I made for her using DVDSP4 on her Cyberlink Power DX DVD Player (PeeeeCeeeee application) and while everything else worked fine, she gets a foreign thumbnail with the title of the disk next to it when she presses the Help button on the player. The title is just what I entered in DVDSP and Toast 6, but the thumbnail is a ***** scene with the words "nude" underneath.
Apparently, the DVD plays that way on other Cyberlink players around the university as well. The DVD I made for her a couple of months prior using DVDSP3 appears on the Help menu with a blank thumbnail next to the title. So no problem with that one. Does anybody know where this thumbnail comes from? Is there some secret image embedded in my DVD I don't know about? Gosh this is embarrassing.

After a few emails with Cyberlink, various test DVDs, etc. Problem is solved.
    1. Thumbnail doesn't come from DVD, but Dell version of PowerDVD player gets thumbnail from internet.
    2. The particular thumbnail appears to be based on the TITLE of the DVD (i.e. change the title and the program will display no thumbnail). I guess the title of ours "Auditions" was adult rated somewhere out in cyberspace or something...
    3. By the way, even Cyberlink PowerDVD on a Dell running vers. 5.5 didn't display the adult thumbnail, just 5.0xx and 5.1xxx. The new download version of their software doesn't have such a thumbnail help menu page.
    Thanks for your help.

  • How do you close " CyberLink power DVD"

Keep getting notification to close Cyber Link power Dvd when i try to view a video , I have a new HP Pavilion Windows 8.1
Cant find solution other than to reboot

    Hi rhr22,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I have read your post on how your CyberLink Power DVD gives you a notification when viewing videos, and I would be happy to assist you! To begin, I will need to ask you a few questions:
What is the Product and Model Number of your desktop computer?
Has your computer completed all of its important Windows Updates?
Is this an on-going or recent issue?
If you use a different video viewing program such as Windows Media Player?
When you receive this notification, is there a numbered error in the same window?
Do you get this same error message if you try different DVDs?
Please re-post with the necessary information, and I look forward to your reply!

  • Unable to view photos burned to DVD from Elements 11

I burned some photos (jpg and tiff) from Elements 11 to a DVD.  When I tried to open the disc on the same computer, it didn't show any files.  However, PSE.VolInfo.dat showed on DVD.  I tried to open with Windows Explorer and with Photoshop Elements.  When I put that same DVD in a different computer the pictures are all listed and open fine.  I am wondering why no files are showing and why  I can't open the pictures on the computer I used to burn them with and where the PSE.VolInfo.dat came from?  How can I burn the photos to a DVD and be able to open them?  Has anyone experienced this type of problem?  Burned them to a CD also and experienced the same problem.

    mikemoor wrote:
Well since nobody here responded, I called Verizon Tech Support directly.  I was instructed to remove the battery while leaving the power on (that's important--do NOT power off!).  Then depress the power button in succession twenty (20) times.  Replace the battery cover and power up as normal.  All fixed!!!    Thanks to "Julius"  at VZW.  Obviously, this is some type of reset sequence for the Charge.
Depress the power button 20 times with the battery still out or after putting the battery back in?

  • Copying photos to DVD from elements 10

I know I probably just got burned by adobe, but how to I copy photos from elements to a DVD like in previous version of elements (8&9)? I AM NOT AND WILL NEVER PURCHASE "Premier", so if I lost functionality, I will be looking for a new application for photo editing and storing.
Can this be done? Can you copy to DVD straight from elements 10?
    Thanks

Not if you're trying to copy a slide show.  From the Help file:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/elementsorganizer/using/WS1B271B2F-E57F-4f80-86F1-B3CBC3CDE38F _WIN.html
Slide shows are a fun way to share media files. With Elements Organizer 10, you can customize slide shows with music clips, clip art, text, and even voice narration. Images in PDF format do not display in slide shows. After you complete a slide show, you can choose several ways to share it.
You can save it as a PDF, convert it into a WMV file, and then burn it onto a VCD.
You can also save the file locally to print using Acrobat.
You can also burn it directly onto a high-quality DVD if Adobe® Premiere® Elements is also installed on your system.

  • When burning a DVD from Elements 13, it freezes at 90%

when burning a DVD in elements 13, it freezes at 90% and locks up elements until I cancel burn.

    Jerry Jarrett
If you wish to pursue your question about burn to disc, then I would be glad for the opportunity to be of assistance.
The following would be my troubleshooting strategy and questions
    1. What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 13 running on?
    2. Have you looked at the issue with and without the Intel HD Graphics 2000 and Higher preferences disabled
    (See Edit Menu/Preferences/General)?
    3. Where are you in Publish+Share/Disc/, DVD, AVCHD, or Blu-ray? And, what does the burn dialog's Quality Area
show for Space Required and Bitrate? What brand/type/capacity disc are you using?
    4. Is the issue specific to one Timeline in one project? Or, is the problem there with another Timeline content and another
    project.
I would prefer to see you sort out the burn to disc issue if possible because of the download problems associated with the 3rd party software
that is typically needed to obtain the disc product from the Premiere Elements VIDEO_TS, BDMV, or ISO Image. Excellent 3rd party software if you
can get it installed without a lot of companion garbage. Although how to have been described for the safest possible download and install, there
are no guarantees that you will not be hit with a lot of computer cleanup just to get one excellent program.

  • DVD from PE9 won't play in computer let alone another DVD player

I produced a 7 minute video in HD. I can play it on my computer either as HD or at standard res from files produced via the "Computer:Export files..." on the Share menu. I need to produce a standard NTSC DVD and when I burn using the "Disc: Burn DVD..." I get a message that the burn has been completed successfully. Yet the DVD will not play on my computer if I reinsert in in the same drive I just used to burn it, and won't play in a regular DVD player either. The computer doesn't even see the disc if I search for it. I've read a lot of stuff about DVD-Rs and booktypes and bitsetting but this doesn't seem to apply here since the computer can't read its own disc. Burning a copy of the files burned to folders doesn't work either. The DVD burner burns everything else just fine. I am using DVD+Rs. Would it make any difference if I used DVD-Rs? Or is there anything else anyone can suggest? I am using Windows 7 Professional. Thanks.

    >burning to a folder
If you are able to write (not burn) the folder structure to your hard drive, you may use the FREE http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download to write files or folders or ISO to disc
Put a commercial DVD in your drive and take a look with Windows Explorer to see the folder structure and the types of files... and make sure what you write to a folder from PE is similar

  • Using "One Step DVD from Movie" on my IMac 10.8.6 using Verbatim DVD-R ("Life Series") 4.7 GB 16X 120, I get a wide angle version of my two minute story rather than the 3X4 standard aspect ratio that I normally get and want.  Help!

While using "One Step DVD from Movie"  using DVD-R Verbatim ("Life Series" 4.7  16 X  120 min) on my IMac 10.6.8 I get a wide angle aspect ratio on the DVD not the standard 3X4 aspect ratio.  The Quicktime Movie is is standard 3X4 aspect ratio and the video video footage is standard 3X4 aspect ratio?  Advice will be greatly appreciated.

Try this basic troubleshooting fix :
1 - delete the IDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete IDVD'S cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
         User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD folder.
    3 -  reboot.
4 - launch IDVD and try again.
Personally I would not the the one step method but create the iDVD project  from scratch so you can make sure the widescreen option is not selected in the preferences and you can follow this workflow:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the  File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option.  This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image and launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding was good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.

  • Newbie Question - Creating DVD from Premiere to Encore with 2 audio tracks

Hello and thanks for your time,
I'm pretty new to all this but seem to be getting the hang of things pretty well but one problem I'm having I can't seem to find an answer to.
In Premiere I am creating a dvd of a football game, i have the video with an audio track of the crowd and another audio track of the commentary.  These are all edited together fine and work well.  I then use the dynamic link to send the sequence to Encore and that's where the problem occurs.
I can't seem to get both audio tracks to appear in Encore?  Any suggetions or tips on where I might find an answer?
cheers for the help and time
    Ian

    Ian,
This is not a cure to the issue, but is a workaround. It's the "old-fashioned" way that things were done before DL.
Export your Sequence as elemental streams, i.e. video-only and audio-only. Import your video-only file into Encore as a Timeline, and teh audio-only file as an Asset. From Project Panel, drag the audio to the appropriate timeline. Done.
Now, exactly what you choose for your Export and even how you do this will depend on your Project in PrPro and also your source Assets. For SD material, I'd choose DV-AVI Type II video-only (no multiplexing), and for the Audio 48KHz 16-bit PCM/WAV. If you have a version of PrPro prior to CS4, just Export Movie (settings above) for the Video and Export>Movie (or AME) for the Audio (settings above). Just make sure that the Export Video is checked for the DV-AVI, but the Export Audio is not. Change these two checkboxes for the Audio.
Now, for DL not working, as it should, what is the format of your source Audio? Do you have any Channel-mapping used? Does your Audio Mixer Panel show everything right there? Do you have one Audio Track either Muted, or Bypassed. Look in Audio Mixer, to make sure you do not have one Track Solo'ed.
Also, what version are you using, CS3, or CS4? Note: for CS4, you will use AME for the Exporting in the first part of the post.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • IMovie video project I made has no audio working after power failure

I have spent about a week stitching together family movies by ripping them to Apple tv format, then use a software program called MPEG streamclip to create a DV version which take about 24 gb a piece, I put 12 hours worth into iMovie which has taken a ton of space etc. So I created a project and am now about 1h 35 min in and this is getting small 3-5 clips of my son who is 7 months and my wife and myself b/c were going to England on Friday so I was created a nice movie for my new in laws and family I am meeting for the first time. So I had a saved file and iMovie was open and I had a power failure. I opened iMovie freaking out and then saw all the footage and the project still there so I was extremely thankful b/c of the 7 dvds I created due to space limitation once I imported I deleted the original (i have the original dvd but it takes about 6 hours to take from DVD to Apple TV format, then about 2 hours to export to DV and then another 1 hour to import into iMovie so each dvd took a full day for me due to work etc)
Anyway whats now happened is there is no audio on either the project or the original footage that has been imported, again about 12 hours of footage and a project thats 1 hr 35 mins. Whats strange is all other projects and imported video the sound and video works perfect. THis is the only one and of course its the most important one. ANY SUGGESTIONS WILL BE APPRECIATED.
If needed I will start over and do as much as I can but of course I am praying there is a simple solution.
    Thanks.
newest iMovie, newest OSX etc if that helps

Thought you could use this info about getting FireWire to work!
First, you should always Repair Permissions in Disk Utility before and after any update; I would do that now. If you installed your update with FireWire plugged in, your Mac may not recognize it anymore.
Try resetting your FireWire ports by disconnecting all FW devices, shut down your Mac and unplug it from AC power (wall socket) for 30 minutes. plug it back in and try FW.
If that did'nt work, first run the Disk Repair as shown in Apple doc.#106214 before the next step. Then, download the combo update from this site (yours may be corrupt), not Software Update, disconnect all firewire + USB devices except keyboard + mouse, Repair Permissions, re-install update, Repair Permissions again + try. Yours is the 10.4.10 Combo update ( PPC, not for Intel systems). Others reading, download the Combo that applies to your system.
If that still did'nt get it Zap the PRAM. While restarting Mac hold down the following key combo Command-Option-P-R. Keep holding those keys down till you hear the second start-up chime, then release.
For those of you with Macs that are not PowerBooks or iBooks, a bad internal battery can cause FireWire to not be recognized, so make sure it's good! Also, here is Apple doc.#88338 on getting FireWire to work.
    Cheers!

  • Cyberlink Power DVD 8 no audio

I have a pavilion dm3-1040us laptop running Win7, purchased new in 2010. At the same time I bought a LG optical auxiliary drive
model GP08NU20, which came bundled with Cyberlink PowerDVD8 software.
The software autostarts when a DVD is put in the drive, the video plays, but there is no sound. I have done everything I can think of to debug it, including working with Cyberlink's customer svc. I sent them the diagnostics file and the response was "upgrade your audio codec driver". problem is, the laptop HAS the most recent drivers installed, according to the driver update I tried.
     Driver Name: stwrt64.sys
             Driver Version: 6.10.6242.0000 (English)
          Driver Attributes: Final Retail
                WHQL Logo'd: Yes
              Date and Size: 8/2/2010 08:17:23, 500736 bytes
                Other Files:
            Driver Provider: IDT
ANy thoughts on Cyberlink? I read on other boards they shipped "bundled" sw that didnt run on the HW. Are they erroneously blaming it on the HP/IDT SW?
Windows Media Player, and VLC both play the video and audio fine.
    Help!?
