DW CS3 for Vista and Mac OS compatibility

Hi
I use Dreamweaver CS3 on Windows Vista. I also have a Mac OS
laptop. I am thinking of Running the MAc version of Dreamweaver on
the Laptop. Would the files between the two systems be
interchangeable.
In other words, if I created a site on the Vista machine
would I be able to edit it on the Mac and vise versa.

HTML is HTML. There is no platform specificity in it. You
should have no
problem. I routinely work in the same site on the same files
on either Mac
or PC.

CS3 for Windows on Mac System

I´ve bougth CS3 for windows and I have been using it.
I´m thinking about to get a MAC... can I use my dvds to install????

You can install Boot Camp, Fusion or Parallels and install Windows under
either of those three systems. Then you can install CS3 for Windows.
With Parallels and Fusion, you can run Windows CS3 and have your Mac OS
running in tandem. You can copy and paste between the Mac and PC sides.
In fact Windows CS3 will run better on the Mac than running the Mac
version of CS3 under Leopard. There are far fewer problems. The speed is
very good while running under Parallels or Fusion. The speed under Boot
Camp is as good as running it under any comparable PC.

Hello,
I just bought a external 320Gb Western Digital Drive. I would like to use
the drive for windows and mac.I will not like to make partation on the drive
to use it on both operating systems. Is there any formating system with which i can use in both operating systems? I would like to use time machine feature on that drive also.

If you want to use a disk for both PC/Mac file storage and Time Machine, you will have to create two partitions. Partitioning is sort of like creating multiple virtual disks on the same physical disk. One partition should be formatted for PC (which the Mac can also use) and the other should be formatted for HFS+ (Mac only) which is what Time Machine requires. The Disk Utility application makes partitioning and formatting very easy.

What Windows OS are you using? Are you networked?
If you are networked, you have to setup your file and print sharing options in order to require password assess. If you are just trying to control specific files from being printed, you can do that, too.
If you are just trying to control the amount of printing off of a single PC with a printer, you could setup different accounts for each user and limit their access.
Some of the commercial printers can have password options, but I do not find any password options for the CM 1410, other than what I provided earlier.
If I have been helpful, a Kudo is always appreciated.

Can I have a Single Licence for Windows and Mac?

I have PS CS4 for Windows installed on my desktop computer. I have recently bought a MacBook Pro. Can I install PS on my new laptop using my Windows licence or must I buy another licence.

If you have a windows clone software installed, then it should be fine. But if you want the mac version of photoshop, then normally you would buy the CS4 photoshop for Mac as the CD version comes with only 1 license for 1 platform.
However, since CS4 is not the current version you could subscribe to the cloud and that license is for Windows and Mac.

This is from a tester describing what happens on a Mac:
No the program does not launch properly on the Mac
What happens is this.
I open my applications folder
I open the App Folder and see another folder labeled Program V2.1
I open that folder and see the Program blue icon which click to launch
The folder disappears and the blue Program icon appears in my dock along side other applications looking ready for launching.
This is where the problem starts
If I click on the blue Program icon which is in my dock along side all of my other application icons they all drop off the screen. like the screen resolution changed suddenly or something,
The menu along the top of the screen also moves off the screen . in the same manner
so my desktop which usually has a visible dock at the bottom and a menu bar on the top now doesn't show either of those elements.
I do have a couple of document icons on my desktop , you know text files or what ever they never move
If I now click my mouse anywhere on the screen all of the icons return including the blue Program icon still sitting in by dock, if I click it again same sequence of actions.
I deleted and reinstalled the latest version of Adobe Air and got the same result
I also want to mention
The top menu on the mac tells me what application is active, you know "finder" "Open office" "Firefox" what ever is program is running and active shows there
Program has never show up as being active in the top menu so I'm guessing never fully launched

Configuring Netgear FVS318 VPN for iPhone and Mac OS X clients.

I am trying to configure the FVS318 VPN for iPhone and Mac clients to connect to. I have been able to set it up that all hard wired and wireless connections with in the network to connect seemlessly, but when it comes to VPN I am not able to get any connection from outside the network. I have set all the usernames, passwords and shared secrets multiple times and I am unable to connect even after reseting it. Any help setting this would be great.

Are you using your external IP address to set this up? This works while on the network, as in at the office but not from any connection outside? What IP scheme are you using on the Netgear? If you are using something like 192.168.1.1 and starbucks uses the same scheme it wont work. Try setting your Netgear to something like 192.168.33.1
