Is is possiable to display the color palatte of developer during run time so that the user can chose the color for some fields based on his choice.

How to set dynamic color , based on xml element
Hi,
We have a requirement, where based on certain conditions, a cell will be shown in a specific color. We would like the coloir to be based on an XML element. The xml element will have values like '#FF00FF' etc..
We tried using xsl attribute with the following syntax ,
<xsl:attribute xdofo:ctx="block"name="color"><?stdcolor?></xsl:attribute><?end if?>
where stdcolor is the xml element, but when we use this , this is giving a syntax error.
Let us know, if this is possible or is there any other alternate way to do this.

Thank you.You need to explain more what you are trying to achieve. You mean when you change the attribute selection it changes the colour image rather then what looks to be the grouping dropdown you setup?

Dynamically color to each column in Cross-tab report

I am a newbie in Crystal report,from last few weeks, i am working on cross tab crystal report.i have a requirement to show color dynamically for each column.i am adding an attachment how i want it. i tried dynamic coloring using object field formula but it is showing red color to all data.i want red color data when in 2nd cross tab report data is beyond upper or lower limit in first cross tab table. it will be very helpful if somebody will give me any clue on this.... i read so many articles now it seem like impossible for me..:(

I have attached a sample report that does this. You will need to remove the .txt extension from the attached file to open it as an .rpt file.
Please right click on one of the value fields of the first cross tab in the report > Format Field > Common > Suppress if Duplicated conditional formula.
The nested formula is as follows;

So it assigns each lower and upper limit value for each client (in the sample it is country) to an array using the cross tabs column index to index the array and it ends in False as we don't actually want it to suppress if duplicated. This nested formula is just used to generate the arrays of upper and lower values.
In the second cross tab if you again right click on one of the value fields > Format Field > Font > Color you will see the following conditional formula;
numbervar array l;
numbervar array u;
numbervar x;
if not(tonumber(CurrentFieldValue) in l[CurrentColumnIndex] to u[CurrentColumnIndex]) then

crblack
So this compaes the current field value to range generated by the 2 arrays and assigns a color based on whether or not it is in the range.

Dynamic bandwidth selection for PPPoE over Ethernet/VLAN
Hello all, hope you are doing great.
I'm planning to deploy PPPoE Server (Cisco Router 7609) for a ISP. This ISP will provide Internet connection for customer over Ethernet.
I have to provide a solution to assign bandwidth to each customer by RADIUS and I find some clues that Dynamic Bandwidth Selection (DBS) should be the answer. Unfortunately, DBS only support PPPoA or PPPoE over ATM.
If you have any experience with equivalent function, please help me. Thank you very much.

I was able to generate enough traffic with ping to meet the exceed action in and have it drop packets. -
Dynamic Date selection inactive

Dynamic parameter selection from infoview not storing the sql password
We are having the problem of dynamic parameter selection from infoview not storing the sql password as it does for the actual report. We are using Crystal Reports XI Release 2 version 11.5.3.438 (Not sure of SP level, asked in separate thread).
To be more specific.
We have created a report that dynamically populates the parameters of the report by pulling the records from the Informix sql database and allowing selection from there.
In the Central Management Console for the report object we have set as follows:
Process - Database:
Use original database logon information from the report - the sql username and pw etc
Use same database logon as when report is run
Process - Parameters
In selecting a default selection there is the option to put in the sql password, however, this does not stick and clears after update.
As such the end result is that every time this report is run from infoview and a user chooses a parameter (there are 5), crystal goes through some timeout for about a minute or so and then requests the sql password, if a user then selects the next parameter, the same timeout and password dialog appears.
We need the crystal report to handle to the sql password for fetching the parameters as well as for the database section of running the report, however, the parameters insists on the end user always putting the password in.
This is 100% replicatable on our system.
Any way that we can fix this?
Will an update fix this issue? If so could you please advise which one?

And what does "Use same database logon as when report is run" mean? For me that would be that no prompt is needed for getting values in a dynamic parameter...

criteria. I can get the list built no problem. But, I want to "select" a
certain element based on an attribute I check on the object. So the element
I want to appear selected may be element 2 or element 5 or element x. Has
anyone ever done this? I can't seem to find anything in the Forte help that
will allow me to do this?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This should be as simple as setting the IndexValue of the radio list
to
the item that you want to have selected. For example:
self.<theRadioList>.IndexValue = 2;
to select the second item. Make sure your window is already open
when
you do this, though. ie, make sure self.Open() has already been
called. The Open() method initializes a lot of the widget
information
on the window, and it may well set the index value of the radio list
back to 1.

How can I pop up a Color Selection table?
When I click on a color box control in the front panel,it will pop up a color selction table.My question is how can I control the pop up of the color selection table in the diagram?for example,if a boolean control is clicked then I want to pop up the color selection table,If the color selection table is an Active Control,what's the name if it?
Any help will be appreciated.Just use a color control.

web links do not show as visited according to my color selection in content menu. visited sites/links should be in red, mine are not changing after a visit to a sits. A good example would be a visit to a news article in google. mu colors are set to res for visited sites - it does not happen, in fact nothing changes
Google is using a visited color (#551a8b) that is hardly distinguishable from the unvisited color (#2200cc), so may not notice it.

* You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
* To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting <b>Firefox will: Use custom settings for history</b>
* Uncheck: [ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session"
You can look at these prefs on the about:config page to make sure that you keep history.

Bug: 9780 blue color selection cursor missing
I am having the blue color selection cursor missing when I do the following:
At home screen, click blackberry button to open tray, but blue color cursor not shown and I cannot select application. I need to close tray and try few times.

Have you tried to repair permissions, and check/repair disk? Looks like some Finder plist file getting corrupted after a little use of your computer. Also, you could try and create a new user account, and log in onto this new account, to check if your problems exist on this new account too. If not, then something is going awry on your own (admin?) account; if not, well, then your issue is system-wide. -
How-to Dynamic Hierarchy Selection.

does anyone know how to implement "Dynamic Hierarchy Selection"? I have a main hierarchy but would like to filter it further while loading the hierarchy.
E.g. I have a financial statement verison with both Balance Sheet and P/L items, i would like to separate the main into two new hierarchies, one BS and P/L hierarchies instead, apparently the infopackage allows you to write small codes to dynamically select which hierarhcy you want.

We donot have this type selection at the time of upload. The thing we can do is upload both versions into BIW and in the report we can use Hierarchy variable to have dynamic selection of hierarchy.

Hi Expert,
by creating a colored workbook i notice the color was disappearing after the refresh.
I decide to built a makro which can fix the color in each line.
I done that manually.
But i am looking for a makro which can dynamically color the cells.
for example:
1. Total sum--- > color red
1.2 sub sum color yellow
1.2.1 sub sum color grey
I will not want to fix that, because if there is a change in the result it can not match again.

GiloBanu / Gilo, i am going thru the same exercise. Our users wanted the TOP 15 customers, sub total and Overall total. We cannot achieve this in a query as a HTML page, so we decided to use precalculation server to broadcast as a workbook. I know we need to run the report in BEx and store the workbook and then do the broadcast. I want to know when we store it as a workbook can we write macro to get the Sub total and the overall total.
Do u have any documentation or idea to achieve this. Once i get this i can play with formats and coloring.
