Dynamic message with Alert popup window?

I'm using the simplest form of Alert popup window. Is there a way I can put a dynamic alert message in the window? For example,
the Alert shows the "XYZ" at beginning, and then change to "ABC" by an event before the OK button is clicked.

First you need to create a refernce to the Alert window.
alert = Alert.show("Hello");
To change the text
alert.mx_internal::alertForm.mx_internal::textField.text = "New Text";
( had to use mx_internals because the following code is not updating the text alert.text = "New text"; )

Hi everyone,
Value some help please. When visiting my work's website with Internet Explorer on a new Lumia 625, the message "refer to popup window" appears after I log in. Unfortunately, unlike using a desktop or laptop, no new tab appears. A new tab does appear when I log on with an Android device, so I know it is possible for a mobile phone. Grateful in advance for ideas.

Welcome to Nokia Support Discussions.
You can try changing the website preference from the mobile version to desktop version under settings> swipe left to applications and select Internet Explorer. Also, try downloading another web browser from the Store and see if it works.

Just downloaded Foxmarks new version (3.7.8) it freezes Firefox 3.6.6 with a popup window error notification - something about NoScript

window). This window doesnot affect the BSP page in any way.(code

Per changed requirement,we now have to retain the BSP page values once
the user clicks 'OK' on this javascript popup window. I used the page
refresh option with script. But this is erasing the earlier values.
Can anyone tell me,how i can holdback the BSP page values after the
user action on the popup window. If a piece of code is provided,it
would be greatly appreciated.

If the BSP page is refrehed, all the user input it sent back to the server. If you don't do anything special, the input is lost and not sent back to the client again. You can go to your controller class' DO_HANDLE_DATA to read the user input, and store it in the controller class to send it back to the client.
If you don't use controller classes, the equivalent would be onInputProcessing. A more advanced alternative would be to use MVC model binding, which would do most of the stuff automatically for you.

Styling the Alert popup window

In Flex 3, you could style the popup window produced by Alert.show with the Alert selector:
Alert
background-color:aqua;
This appears not to work any more in Flex 4, even with the appropriate namespace prefix:
mx|Alert
 background-color:aqua;
I've confirmed that the selector is correct, because it can be used to modify the fonts within the Alert popup, but any colors, corner radius settings, etc. are ignored. I also tried switching to the Halo AeonGraphical theme with no success.
Are there any new tricks to know about in this area?

WDPortalNavigation : Hiding Dynamic Nav Panel in popup window

Hello,
I am using Absolute Navigation - Portal - SAP Library to open a specific page on Portal from my Web Dynpro Java application.
Platform:
Portal : EP CE7.3 Ehp1 SPS9
NWDS: CE7.3
In target Portal page that I am trying to open in new window, there is some content added as "Dynamic Navigation". And this Dynamic Navigation panel is by-default expanded in this popped up window.
Is there any way I can set it to 'collapsed' by-default in this popup window?
I tried using all navigation modes available. But couldn't find any option to do this.

Yes. I'm using a classical frameworkpage. I opened it >Desktop Inner page > Dynamic Navigation iView > set "Initial State of navigation panel = closed".
Saved everything and retried opening the page via WDPortalNavigation.
Navigation panel was still expanded when this window opened.

How to put the messages getting in popup window on statusbar facet:

In panelcollection i dragged a table.in toolbar i have createinsert and committ buttons.
i am able to display the messages like "*Dupliacte rows not allowed* " using customErrorhandler by ovveriding the getdisplaymessage() when JBO,SQl exceptions occured.
and also able to display message like "*record saved successfully* " using managed bean method.
i am getting these messages in popup window.but i want to get these messages in statusbar of panelcolletion.
please anyone help me what i need to do.

Show some text messages in a popup window.

I have a requirement to show some text in a pointed popup window (similar to a pointed tooltip) when a commandLink is clicked. The text consists of 2-3 lines. What can I use?
I guess <af:popup> doesnt show up as a pointed tooltip.

Use an ad:popup and put an af:noteWindow in there.

Vba to dismiss an IE8 or IE9 "message from webpage" popup window

In excel or word, paste the following code into a vba normal module and run it. The code goes to a public web site and tries to lookup a school. The website pops up a "message from webpage" dialog that warns me that the the school
number is not valid.
My program can detect that popup, but how can I reliably and automatically dismiss it?
I have a workaround that uses sendkeys but about 10% of the time the popup remains.
Does anybody have a solution that does NOT require sendkeys? The ideal solution would also work when objie.visible = false.

When I run RSPCM gives error in PC and message error, alert, popup

When I run the transaction RSPCM gives error in process chains and appear several popups, messages, alerts. what can be?

Symptom
The job log of a job contains message 00 517 (Job finished) and message BT
608 (Job status was manually set to 'cancelled').
Reason and Prerequisites
There is a program error in the function BP_JOB_ABORT.
Previously, the function BP_JOB_ABORT did not call the job status check
correctly. As a result, BP_JOB_ABORT may still have set a job that had
already finished correctly to 'cancelled'
Solution
Import the Support Package or implement the correction instructions

Help with a popup window displaying info from a record set

Hi I am working on a Shopping cart web site I have set up my
database and I have created my page to display items from the
database. The fields in my database table are auto_id, category,
sub_catagory, manufacture, style, descripition, descripition2,
price, image, image2, fc_id, link_id
What I am trying to do is to display this part of the info in
one record . manufacture,style,descripition , image and price there
will be a link from this page (link_id)to display a popup and in
that pop up I want to display
manufacture,style,descripition2,Image2
basicly I want to now how to put a link in database so when
all of the data is displayed on the page I want to click on a link
(link_id) from any record that opens a popup to display a larger
image and a longer descripition of the product. and anything else I
may need from that record.

In your product insert form or however you are adding these
products to the store add a feild called image link2 or
large_img_link
in your code for the pop up window you would wrap your PHP
recordset like this

This will produce a link like this
http://yoursite.com/images/large_images/myLargeImage.jpg
the hot spot will be your second php tag which is the
thumbnail image itself that is now wrapped with the larger image
link.

Problem with applet, popup window and focus loss

Hi all !
I've got a problem when my applet lose the focus. Let me explain :
I've got an applet embed in a jsp page. There are several buttons in it that allow the user to open modal windows.
The problem comes when the user gives the focus to another application whithout closing the modal window first.
When he tries to come back to the web page owning the applet (using the task bar), then the modal window stays behind it and blocks any action on the applet.
Does anyone know how to force the modal window to be displayed in front of the applet, even when the user plays with focuses ?

Error message with QT for Windows Vista

....and it just close Quick Time, it happens to me all the time, can anybody please help me?

I just answered this problem, so you arent the only one. As I said in the other post, I am only running XP Pro SP2...but I also had the same problem, and it just started recently. I fixed it by going into my Quicktime Preferences....and going to Advanced tab, and upping my Download cache to 300MB, and then clicking on Empty Cache. I also upped by Audio from 16bit to 24bit. Dunno which really fixed it, but those were the 2 things I changed, and it works no problem now.
