Dynamic programming tabstrip, no tabs in pull down navigation menu

Hi everybody,
I create with dynamic programming a tabstrip with some tabs. Than I have the problem that the navigation menu ( or pull down menu ) for the navigation between the tabs is not filled.
So my question is, must I put the generated tabs in the menu and how, or is it a feature not yet supported? I couldn’t find a method to do this.
Thanks for any help
Regards
Christian

Consider redesigning again? The page is 240 kb, which is
about 200 kb
more than it should be. It would be OK if everyone used a
high speed
connection, but broadband penetration in the US is stuck at
around 50%.
About half your viewers aren't going to stick around until
the page
finished loading.
Skim through the forum posts to learn more (and scary stuff)
about the
drop down menus.

  • Lost my import settings pull down and menu

I've been having problems running Aperture....slow speed, not seeing previews...etc...
I was told to repair library data base by holding the opt+comm keys when opening Aperture.
I did a repair and was still having issues so I did a rebuild as a last resort.
Now when I try to import from my memory card I no longer have an import settings pull down or menu....essentially I cant import!
    Any suggestions?

When menu items are missing it might be a problem of corrupted preferences files or a system wide problem.
As a test: Run Aperture from a different user account, for example the Guest account. Is the "Import" manual there?
If all menues are in a different user account, delete your User Preferences, as described in Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics (the paragraph  "Delete the user preferences"). Log off and on again after doing that.
If the problem occurs in all accounts, reinstall Aperture.
And if that stll does not help, post back and tell us more - have you installed anything lately? Any other applications behaving strangely? Have you done any maintainance, cleaning running cleaner applications?

  • HELP/Problems with pull-down navigator bar

    Hi everyone,
I was wondering if I could get some input. I have just
    re-designed our magazine's site, www.easternsurf.com
I used Pop-Up menu function in Fireworks 8 to generate our
Navigator bar. For the most part everything has been working well,
BUT we've had a couple of complaints that the navigator bar's
pull-down menus get stuck behind the photos/banner ads/etc. instead
of in front of them when viewing in Internet Explorer. I'm on the
Mac platform (OSX Tiger/Macromedia Studio 8) and have seen no
problems viewing in Safari, Firefox and Netscape. The only
complaints have come from Internet Explorer users. A couple of
people updated their browser to the newest version and the problem
disappeared, however we've still had a couple of people that have
written in that the newest version of IE is still not displaying
    properly.
Also we've got a strip of button ads running down the left
hand side of each page and I've also seen another issue that's
common on sites of this type...when the pulldown menu overlaps with
a Flash element, there is a problem with the screen re-draw. I've
seen this on several other sites and know it's a common problem,
but does anyone know of a workaround where this won't happen? I
just noticed that signing on to Adobe's site, there almost seems to
be a command where the menu keeps re-drawing at a very rapid rate
    so this won't happen.
Any input would be greatly appreciated, although I'm Mac all
the way, we are a business and have to get this site visible for
    everyone!
    Thanks

  • What is/are the keyboard shortcut if I want to pull down a menu item?

What is the keyboard command to pull down a finder menu item? Say I want
to browse the finder menus, without a mouse?

Although that's listed in the document, It does nothing on my machine and it is enabled in Keyboard Shortcuts. So, if you know the steps to get it working, that would be appreciated. Wired, extended Apple keyboard.
EDIT: Need CONTROLfnF2, which requires two hands, to make it work. IMO, it's much asier to just use the mouse.

  • How do I fix my floating drop down navigational menu?

Hello, I am currently reworking my website to make it responsive, but I have hit a roadblock with my navigation menu:
My goal for the menu is to have a floating navigational menu in which as the user hovers over the link the image changes. One of the tabs is intended to be a submenu that drops down horizontally. I also am trying to get the menu centered on the page using fluid positioning.
As of now, I have a functional drop down menu with the rollover effects. It wasn't until I began work on floating the menu that I ran into a problem. At first, the menu was not scaling proportioally with the rest of the page, but upon looking around, I found: http://matthewjamestaylor.com/blog/beautiful-css-centered-menus-no-hacks-full-cross-browse r-support.
Using the code on the link, I recoding the menu. In the end, the drop down menu is causing the problem. When I have the drop down menu still included in the code, the menu is broken up in three lines. The submenu is grouped with its parent, but they are grouped boxy (at least in the browsers I have checked) and only two are visible.
I decided to humor myself and removed the code for the drop down menu to find that the menu works perfectly--it does everything I was aiming for for the time being--rollover, center, floating.
Is there something that I am overlooking that will fix the drop down menu?
I was thinking that I would have to center the styles for the sub menu, but I didn't see any results.
What am I missing that I am not seeing?
The links to the two pages:

    http://ryanolsenstudios.com/WithoutDropDown.html
If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated, I have been looking around trying to figure this out, but to no avail. Thank you.

I don't advise you use images for navigation as they are NOT scalable to any good effect.
Below is a simplified version of your image buttons with dropdowns in place.
The jQuery used to create the rollover swaps is going to get very long and unmanagable (it's just as an example) I suspect there will be more streamlined solutions using jQuery if you Google, like just adding _static.jpg and_over.jpg to the end of the image src, which will keep the code to a minimum of lines.

  • What happened to my "Format" Pull-Down RoboHelp menu?

    I am using RoboHelp 8.
The normal "Format" menu view disappeared -- and now the only choice available is "Apply Conditional Build Tag."
Does anyone know how to restore the menu to the normal view?
    Thank you in advance...

The default view for "Format" suddenly appeared again -- I can't find "Complete Menus," though, at least in the "View" menu.

  • Drop down navigation menu

I like the automatic navigation menu feature but I have some lower level pages that I want to include with a rollover. For example, when people rollover the About Me link in the navigation menu I would like 3 "lower lever" pages to show so that people can either choose the About Me page or one of the other 3 pages. Is this possible using iWeb?

iWeb uses the textbox in the Header layer of an iWeb page as the title in the browserwindow.
Sometime you may want a different text in the titlebar and not display it on the page itself. Or not display it at all.
So use that textbox in the Header layer. Type your text. Then select the textbox. In the Inspector choose T, click a color to open the color palette and drag the opacity slider to 0 (zero).
Do Command-T to open the font palette and make the font smaller. (Or do Command--(minus)) Also use a font that doesn't change to an images. Arial is a good font. Perhaps do it first before make it invisble.
    Resize the textbox.
Do Command-Shift-B to move the textbox to the back, possibly behind other objects.
Next add a optional second textbox to the Header layer and use that one to display text on the page.
Do not remove the original textbox, as you cannot replace it other than by selecting another theme and then change it back to the original theme again. Ruining the layout in the process.
Why use a timewasting 3rd party application to add a title when it is already possible in iWeb itself.

  • Save pull-down menu change?

Excuse me if this has been asked. I'm not sure I have the right vocabulary to search for an answer. I'll try to pose the question:
Basically, before upgrading to Snow Leopard I could navigate easily when saving via the "Where" pull down menu. To know which menu this is, try to save something and then collapse to a minimum (using the arrow next to the name field of what you want to save), and you will see this pull down menu.
Before I was able, through that menu, to navigate to wherever I wanted to save whatever i wanted to save using an arrow system that would appear on the right hand side having clicked on that pull down folder / menu, thereafter going through the various levels of that folder and sub-folders until i arrived where I wanted.
    Now I can't do that.
    I really liked this feature!
Does anyone know what I'm talking about and know a way to get it back?
Was it phased out by Snow Leopard, and if so why??
    (thanks for any replies)

We're not talking about the same thing, so here are some screenshots:
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/26472034@N00/3918205695/
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/26472034@N00/3918989870/
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/26472034@N00/3918990472/
The first two are within Safari. Compare with the third, within Word. You can see that in the first two I cannot explore the levels beneath the "Where" pull down tab / menu, whereas in Word I can, infinitely. This is what I'm talking about. I used to be able to do this in Safari, but not now.

  • Problem in Safari with pull-down menus

My current version of Safari, Version 7.0.3 (9537.75.14), is the buggiest software I have ever had from any Apple--bar none.  The problem is dealing with pull-down menus.
The first such problem is in dealing with pull-down menus on websites.   Some of these menus are quite long.   On one particular menu the choice that I routinely need is way down near the bottom.   Routinely Safari stops scrolling before I can get that far down the pull-down menu.
And, always, when Safari stops scrolling on a pull-down menu on a webpage, it refuses to allow me to scroll down again.   To get the webpage's pull-down menu to operate then, I have to re-load the webpage.   That is a big problem for one website that I MUST use.  This website has three pull-down menus on one webpage.  Because Safari always locks up on the first menu, this crucial website is unusable in Safari.  I have to use Firefox for this absolutely essential website.
And Safari has trouble with one of its own pull-down menus.  This is the PDF menu in the printer window.  Not always, but too often, when I pull down that menu to print to PDF, Safari crashes.   I have to wait for a dialog box to come up and click "send report to Apple" in order to get Safari to reopen.   I don't know how many such reports I have sent to Apple.  I get the feeling that Apple is not listening.
Does anyone have any suggestions for these problems?  TIA

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
For this step, the title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
In the top right corner of the Console window, there's a search box labeled Filter. Initially the words "String Matching" are shown in that box. Enter the name of the crashed application or process. For example, if iTunes crashed, you would enter "iTunes" (without the quotes.)
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
☞ The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
☞ Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
    In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ User Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of crash reports. The name of each report starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report related to the process in question. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
☞ If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
☞ Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

  • [Solved] Pull down menus not stable graphically - flutter on and off.

Since loading FF 7.0.1. in Windows 7 when accessing any pull-down type menu, graphics flutter on and off making cursor selection a guess at best.
Have no unusual graphics settings on PC.
This does not occur with any other software loaded.

    Found following solution in Forum:
"Try to disable hardware acceleration as that may not work properly with the second monitor.
Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    It worked!

The pull-down search menu in Mail has disappeared. I get the search box w/insertion pointer and can type info but it does not search the content properly and I do not have the triangle to choose a search to:from:entire message, etc.
Migrated from TiBook G4/500 to iMac C2Duo. I have tried some of the Cache removal suggestions to no avail. Please help.

    Hello Amit,
Sorry to ask, but have you checked the content of the variable in bps0 and/or table UPC_VAR_CHA_SEL ( for characteristic variable). I mean, is there a value maintained for your user? Are the format of the value still the same?
    Hope that Helps

  • My Side Navigation menu and spry tabbed panels aren't working together. Can I fix this?

I have made some tabbed panels, but my side navigation is not working correctly now. See the following page for an example. http://www.foxthermalinstruments.com/products/index.php   When you mouse (hover) over "Applications" on the side navigation menu you can see that some of the options are covered up by the tabs on the tabbed panel. If you try to hover down to one of the options that is covered or below the tabs on the tabbed panel the side navigation menu disappears. BTW, I am using Dreamweaver CS6.

I have to be brutally honest.  I refuse to use Spry.  Adobe abandoned the framework late last year after practically ignoring it for 3-1/2 years.  It served it's purpose for a few years but it doesn't hold up well in newer browsers like IE10 and touch screen devices.
Keep using it if you want but I don't have much interest in fixing something that is inferior to begin with.
My advice is to run away from Spry.  Either switch to jQuery or get any of the excellent commercial extensions from Project Seven.  You'll be glad you did.
