Dynamic actions can be used to trigger actions when specific criteria is met. This can be used as a type of validation, checking if a specific field has been filled, to check if a user has permission to do a certain action. I have used it an it works in a simple model. I created a dynamic action using the following formula IF(@NUM1>1,'END','STORE') and then if the number was greater than 1 the application was stopped using an end point or data was stored using the STORE event and a datastore. You will get an error that the END and STORE events are declared but can not be raised, this will not cause a problem when you run the model.

Create a Table in Visual Composer 7.0

Is there a way to create a custom table, as part of the model, where you can define some custom fileds, then have users add, delete or update those table fields from a form? Similar to how you would use MS Access?

Hi John,
You can add, delete or update the table entries from a form using system actions in visual composer. But you should create a form manually and also need to make buttons with system actions addrow, deleterow etc,. to set the system actions.

Nested Tables in Visual Composer 7.0

Gurus,
When I am trying to drag and drop the webservice in the Iview it gives a warning message "Port 'Salesorder' was omitted because it includes nested tables which are not presently supported by Visual Composer" . My question is how to use this webservice which has nested table in one of the input port. Is there any work around or can you suggest me any other way we can call this webservice "ECC_SalesOrderCTRC1".

Nested tables are not supported by this version of VC.
This is an architectural problem and I don't know of any work around for it (other than changing the WS).
Nested tables are and will be supported in VC CE (7.1).

How to write plan data into Transactional Cube from Visual Composer ?

Dear experts,
Visual Composer is very powerfull to build a 'nice-looking' web-report (I think is much better than Web Application Designer in term of freely position the chart/graph/table/selection parameter in anywhere we like. We can't have this flexibility in WAD) plus it also has strong integration to R/3 for posting the transactions via RFC-Enabled Function Module (such as changing customer credit limit, approve PO, approve Sales Order, etc), so that the R/3 user won't even have to know the TrxCode.
In addition to this, I just wondering if VC also capable to write plan data into transactional cube via Write-Enable Query. We can simply insert a BW Query into VC as planning layout (set the edit-mode to "editable") plus having some Wizards to make it more user-friendly and self-explanatory for the users.
But I am not sure how to save the changes back to transactional cube from VC.
Could anyone please kindly advise how to achieve this.
"Seeing is believing" is always my learning method, so I would appreciate some "actioanable" explanation or hints.

Hi Sen,
As far as I know, it's not possible to write data into transactional cubes directly from a table in Visual Composer through standar method, but it's possible to integrate a WAD with your input ready query into a URL element in VC (You can fill entry variables in VC and call WAD dinamically), so it's possible to create a planning application in VC calling dinamically WAD's.
Another way to interact through VC is creating button objects that calls planning sequences (with BAPI calling RSPLS_PLSEQ_EXECUTE). Also can fill variables in VC and pass them to sequence.

Flex Table Add Row Issue with Dynamic Entry Lists in Visual Composer

Your help would be kindly appreciated in resolving an 'Add Row'-issue within a Flex Table that uses Dynamic Entry Lists in Visual Composer. The issue here is as follows :
When I use a [Local Dynamic Entry List |http://www.postyourimage.com/view_image.php?img_id=O5hrG2aMxWZ84Mu1211193041]to populate a row field, the initial row and all next rows are emptied upon 'insert row', they loose their selected values and also the entry list values ('pull-down menus') are lost. Hi,
you should be able to assign a dynamic value with global entry lists as well. If you say @myParam as dynamic value. VC will indicate in red letters, that the field @myParam is unknown. However, it will work, as long as @myParam is known in the form or table where you use the entry list.
I have never heard of the problem that entry lists are emptied after "insert"-event.

Visual Composer - dynamic entry list in a form

Hi everybody,
I have a question about Visual Composer (NW7.1).
My goal is it to create a dynamic form within VC iView. As data source I want to use (reads) values from a customizing table and displayed them in a drop down menu. After selecting a drop down value, all its elements shall be presented dynamic in a form. My question is if VC is supporting that technically or not. I have tried different approaches but it is not working.
Does anybody have some suggestions???
For example:
To show all customer data in a form, I set a reference in my customizing table that refers to my KNA1 table. If I want to show all suppliers data, I want to refer to my customizing with a reference to table LFA1. The form should display all the elements of KNA1 or LFA1. Is something like that technically possible?? HELP!

you understood me correct. However this was just an example.
1. Having some drop down list to select an entry.
--> in this drop down list there should be master data objects e.g. customers, suppliers, ...
2. Depending on the entry you like to display a form either filled with values of KNA1 table or LFA1 table.
--> If I choose customers all information should be displayed in the form. If I choose suppliers all supplier's information should be displayed in the form.
My task and my goal is it to use a customizing table in which I save SAP BI InfoObject. In my drop down menu I want to be able to select one of these object (e.g. customer master data). In the next step there should be a dynamic list for my form. That means if I change my object by selecting another drop down item - it will be automatically change the list entries from my new object
How can I do that?

Unable to create visual composer table view from the Bex Query

Hi
I am trying to create the visual composer lay out from a Bex query. The Bex query contains a set of Key figures and a structure.
These key figure and structure combination is forming a table in the query output. Key figure parameters are coming as rows and Structure parameters are coming as columns.
example query out put:
Total, HPC, FDS excel ICe etc are as Structure elements and coming as columns in query out put and
Invoice value, Gross sale value, Efficient operations etc are as Key figure elements in query and coming as rows in query out put.
But if I map this query to visual composer table view all these are coming as columns as given below.
Total Invoice value , Total Gross sale value, Total Efficient operations, HPC Invoice vale,.........
And if execute the query will giving the out put in single row.
Can anybody help me out to map this in the row column format?
Is it really possible to do in VC?
I am using CE 7.2. The VC model I need to be embedding in BPM.
Please help me to solve this issue. I completely stuck up this issue.

Try to use some function module which will convert query data into flat tables. (eg., RS_VC_GET_QUERY_VIEW_DATA_FLAT).

In Visual Composer Can we Pass a whole Table to a Bapi

I have a Bapi which takes a table as input and stores the values in SAP-Database.
But in Visual Composer i am not able to do it.When i fetching the Bapi into Storyboard its not showing the Input field for passing the table.
Is it a limitation of Visual Composer? Or do i have to change my bapi in some manner so that i will be able to pass the whole table.

Hi Paresh,
can try to copy the BAPI with another name. Then drag the BAPI again on the storyboard. Maybe now you have the Input Port.
The same problem sometimes occurs for RFC function moduls.

Dynamic Entry List doesn't work correctly on Visual composer 7.3

Hi,
Well I create two Dynamic Drop dow list box in the model of Visual Composer 7.3 and I Linked the two Dinamic drop down boxes ( i.e. drop down box "country" is linked with drop down box "state"), where the 2nd drop down is populated by the entries of the 1st drop down by the help of a web service.
When i run the model and chose one item form the 1st drop down list, the 2nd drop down list work's fine but when i select again the 1st drop down list and change the item for another, the 2nd drop down list try to refresh the data and erase the descripcion of the item but don't erase the value of that item and when you select the 2nd again the value appears like another item to select..
Has any one experienced this problem and can help on this?

BAPI table input parameters for Visual Composer not working?

I am using a BAPI with table input parameters (2 input fields for the table). I tested the BAPI in ecc function builder (it works as planned). However, it doesn't work in Visual Composer using the same input values (not getting any error messages). Is this a bug in VC 7.0? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
The data service at a time can execute only one input data.
it will not handle too many inputs at time otherwise all the input ports should have same submit action then it is possible to Execute multiple input forms data .
When you are mapping the input form and the dataservice ,give the same event like this *submit for both Inputforms

It is not possible to change the size of an individual table cell directly in visual composer. But, you can change the size of an entire column in a table, though!Maybe, if what I've heard is true, it is possible for to change it in the GML files. If someone can confirm this and give some help on how to modfy the GML, it'll be great.

Timer Event in Visual Composer

Hi,
I want to refresh a bapi each 12 sec so that it fetch me the latest data.
So i have attached a timer to the input port of the bapi and a table to out port.
So now when i deploy i am able to see the data in the table but after 12 sec when again the event is fired, no data is displayed in the table.
The same senario works perfectly well for other bapis, but i am not able to understand why its not working for a particular bapi.
So what should i do so as to overcome this problem.

Hi Paresh,
just some hints:
- does the output of the bapi, i.e. what is deliverd to the table, differ from time to time?
- change the flag "dynamic port" of your data service, maybe this helps?
- make sure that the data that is channeld to the bapi by the timer is correct (maybe when the timer fires it delivers a wrong input value? Leading zeroes maybe?)
- have a look at <a href="/people/marcel.salein/blog/2007/02/01/visual-composer-and-abap-rfcbapi-a-powerful-combination-part-i">Marcel Salein's blog</a> for ABAP-VC-Debugging hints
