DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND short dump in BW while calling Process chain remotely from APO

Hi,
While trying to call a process chain remotely from SCM APO system to SAP BW system - we are getting below short dump -
Short text
    Screen output without connection to user.
What happened?
    Error in the ABAP Application Program
    The current ABAP program "SAPLSDH4" had to be terminated because it has
    come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
Checked the RFC connection between APO and BW system through SM59 and it is working fine - Can anyone pease suggest what configuration could be missing which might be causing this short dump.

We have an ABAP program written to trigger a process chain...When we execute the ABAP program it goes on for a long time and then returns a short dump.It dosent even trigger the process chain.
What could be the reason for this?

The reason for the exception is:
If you use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert to insert a record in
the database and that record already exists with the same key,
this results in a termination.
(With an ABAP/4 Open SQL single record insert in the same error
situation, processing does not terminate, but SY-SUBRC is set to 4.)

Short dump while activating process chain

Please let me know the cause of short dump while activating process chain.. when trying to activate local process chains in metachain it is causing dump

Can you share more details about error.
Have you done any changes to local chain? or is this is new chain?
Try to remove meta chain from schedule, later activate your local chain and meta chain.

Hi,
I will suggest you to check a few places where you can see the status
1) SM37 job log (give BIrequest name) and it should give you the details about the request. If its active make sure that the job log is getting updated at frequent intervals.
2) SM66 get the job details (server name PID etc from SM37) and see in SM66 if the job is running or not. See if its accessing/updating some tables or is not doing anything at all.
If its running and if you are able to see it active in SM66 you can wait for some time to let it finish.
3) RSMO see what is available in details tab. It may be in update rules.
4) ST22 check if any short dump has occured.
You can also try SM50 / SM51 to see what is happening in the system level like reading/inserting tables etc.
If you feel its active and running you can verify by checking if the number of records has increased in the cube.

UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION with msg CX_RSR_X_MESSAG while scheduling Process chain

We are facing a short dump while scheduling process chains, as follows:

Exception CX_RSR_X_MESSAGE
 
Error analysis
 An exception occurred which is explained in detail below.
 The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_RSR_X_MESSAGE', was not caught
 and
 therefore caused a runtime error.
 The reason for the exception is:
 No text available for this exception
 
Information on where terminated
 Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLRRMS" - in "RRMS_X_MESSAGE".
 The main program was "RSPC_MAINTAIN_SINGLE ".
 In the source code you have the termination point in line 82
 of the (Include) program "LRRMSU13".
 
We tried to schedule it as a remote process chain from some other system it cancelled the job there with an ERROR_MESSAGE. We checked the RFC Connections at the source system side but it is working properly. We then tried to schedule the chain manually, we had this exception. Then we tried to have a look at previous logs of the process chain. It had this exception. We tried to reactivate the chain it was successful but when tried to schedule the chain same issue again. We tried to run the Meta chains under the same chain separately. They too gave us the same exception.
Please help.

What's your SP? Are you having any master data updates left unattended? Check the Master data objects, check the flows. Related SAP Notes : 914304 / Check 967202(SP10) and 998673(SP11), 1157796, 763203 and 615389

Calling Process Order API from SOA BPEL

Hi. It's been from weeks and weeks to months and months since i am trying to call process order api from soa bpel to generate sale order header. Passing org_id, responsibility and username to invoke activity. the response i am getting from Oracle Applications Adapter is

<X_MSG_COUNT>2</X_MSG_COUNT>

Can anybody help me here? do anybody know what's going on?

The best way to deal this would be to first call the Order API standalone with the same input which you are using from BPEL process.
You can test Order API from Toad or any other PL/SQL tool and see if it returns the same response. Else write out the exact steps how you are trying to call the API.

BW: Not getting Dump For Program error in Process Chain

I have one issue regarding Master data loading issue in BW(3.5).
My business flow like we have received data from server A and Server A extract data from Server B and
Server B which is extract data from source(R/3).
Flow like this R/3-->Server B-->Server A(ETL) -
> My Server.
We have a mater data process chain and that chain we have have the source system Server A but in the process chain one process is there which is fethces data like global transport e.g UOM,factory calender etc through Custom program directly from Server B.
Oneday what happened On that process the process chain Yellow since more than 16 hrs.Once nextday process chain trigger the process chain runs sucessfuly.
But lastdays process chain paticular process stills remains yellow?
We are not getting any dumps and even if from Server A there is no logs then anyone could please tell me what is reason and how to solve it.
Note: it will be helpful for me if any one know how to check dump for program errors in Process chain as narated issue.

The question is, why the program RSBATCH_EXECUTE_PROZESS is not scheduled. Is it because there is no free resource? Or poor response from SAP ECC?
Finally what does "EXTRACTION OF DATAPACKAGE 000001" mean? Its not scheduled?

Error "Object 'DM' (APCO) of type 'Application' is not available in version 'A'" while transporting process chain to production system.

Hi Gurus,
Whenever I try to transport a process chain ZFI_0FIGL_C10 from dev. to qua. & prod. the error “Object 'DM' (APCO) of type 'Application' is not available in version 'A'” is displayed in the end of creating transport package.
The process chain was created to load data to 0figl_c10 and it works all right on all systems (dev. qua. prod.).
The process chain contains processes for:
- starting the process chain
- executing infopackage (for loading data to 0figl_o10),
- ACR (activate data in 0figl_o10)
- delete index 0figl_c10
- DTP loading data from 0figl_o14 to 0figl_c10
- executing infopackage 80FIGL_O10
- creating index in 0figl_c10
- building DB statistics
- rolling up aggregates in 0figl_c10
- deleting of requests from the changelog 0figl_o10
- deleting of requests from PSA (0fi_gl_10)
How to find what cause that error.

A SAP consultant told me to ignore that error.
Indeed, after creating transport with some new process chains (again I was informed about that error "APCO ...") and transporting it to production everything works all right.
The problem is described in sap note: 883745.

Problem in Calling Sub VI remotely from a main VI in a Web Browser.

Hi i am Calling Sub VI remotely from a main VI in a Web Browser.
My task details:
I my project i am fechting data from a MySQL data base and storing in a table on the main VI front panel.For User help i am calling a sub VI front panel which is consisting of a progress bar and percentage indicator.It indicates the user that the data is loading from the DB.The main purpus of a subVI is to make the GUI more user friendly..by displaying the SubVI front panel until whole data is loaded into the table and closing Immediately after load complete.
What i did?
To call a SUB VI i just right clicked on the subVI icon on the main VI >> SubVI node setup>> Show front panel when called.
In main VI Execution property i have seected Preallocated clone reentrant execution
In Sub VI Execution property i have seected Non- reentrant execution.
If i select Preallocated clone reentrant execution in Sub VI while calling sub VI i am getting warning message saying subVI front panel cannot be controlled remotely.
Promblem I am facing:
It is working perfect in a server machine(as a stand alone) but when i call the same VI or application in remote system i abserved two issues
1. When i call a sub VI every time the front panel is coming in both server and client machine.I want the subVI panel to display only in the client machine, other wise the user sitting in front of the server will be confused by seeing many popups(SubVIs) in his system.
2. When one client is calling a SubVI, the other user should wait until the the sub vi displayed and closed in the 1st client.Means the simultaniously more than one client cant access the SubVI.In this case i can access the main VI simultaniously but not the SubVI.
Please give me the solution.It wil be very helpful for me.Thank You in advance.

I did some prijects with Siebel, but we used JMS for sending and retrieving message between Siebel and BPEL. Can you use this solution? This also gives you the advantage that you can guarantee that the transactionis committed and placed in a queue. You can also bring down the BPEL environment without interfering the Siebel environment, because the communication is done via JMS (queueus)

How to change process chain in SAP APO, in RSCP tcode.

I am from SAP ABAP background, I need to change a 'AND' operator in process chain in RSCP tranaaction in SAP APO.
I dont have any idea how to change process chain.
Could you please help me how to change process chain in SAP APO in RSCP tcode.

Hi Sandeep,
The t-code RSCP does not exist in SAP APO. The correct t-code is RSPC.
Step 1:- In RSPC t-code, select the process chain which you need to change.
Step 2:- Double click on it.
Step 3:- It will display the various programmes attached to the process chain. Go to change mode by clicking on the change indicator (Control + F9)
Step 4:- Select the programme area where you need to do the correction or change. Double click on it.
Step 5:- It will take you to the programme and its selection contents. Make the relevant changes. You can directly carry out the change in se38 also if there is variant kind of changes for that particular programme.
Step 6:- Once the changes are done, save the changes and press F3 button which will take you to the home page of the process chain
Step 7:- Save again so that the change in the programme alongwith the process chain will get saved.

Short Dump in system while deleting the SC item

Hi Experts,
We are receiving the short dump while trying to delete the shopping cart item.
The dump Says... "Buffer table not up to date"
When we debugged the same , found that becuase of the error message "No address found for partner function type 0008u201D.(bbp_pd-051) the BBP_PD_ABORT is called and thus the termination
Please let me know the reason for the same.
We are using SRM Version 5.00

DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND Short dump

In updated teask there are some updated function modules are executed. These function modules are giving error in popup saying "Buffer Tables are not up to date". the message long text it is "To analyze the error, you can set a breakpoint in the function module 'BBP_PD_ABORT' and look at the call-up hierarchy in debugging mode."
So I kept some break point in that function module, now it is giving the following short dump "DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND ",
please tell me what to do

Right, it is trying to throw a debug screen when in background. You must remove the breakpoint.

Short dump in J1iex while display

Hi
I have come across a short dump while displaying an invoice number (Using tcode J1iex) which was already posted. Dump says there is a conversion error .
Screen name.............. "SAPLJ1IEX"
Screen number............ 0200
Screen field............. "J_1IEXITEM-AVAILABLE_AT1"
Error text............... "FX015: Sign lost."
Can anyone please clarify what can be done in this case.

J_1IEXITEM-AVAILABLE_AT1 ( Available CENVAT credit field) is getting a value 0.01- . There is a field conversion problem from ABAP program to Screen display (Dump message) .
This variable has
Technical type description : P(7) DECIMALS 2
Absolute type description: J_1IEXAVLAT1
As such we have applied some notes which is not related to this application.

while activating the Process Chains, i am getting the following error "Job BI_PROCESS_PSAPROCESS could not be scheduled. Termination with returncode 8"
when i double click on the error msg, i got the following help msg: "

Diagnosis
Program RSPROCESS is to be scheduled as job BI_PROCESS_PSAPROCESS under user ALEREMOTE.
Can any one please show some way to solve this problem? please do this favor, i have been suffering with error for a long time.

Hi,
Just analyze the error message that you get while activating the PC, don't give any server name.If you are trying to run process chain using Flat file, it won't work,
and you should have source system R/3 or you have own datasources in BW system itself at that toime you can use PC to extract data. If your source system is Flat ile, it won't work. other wise you should place your flat file in application server, using AL11 tcode.

Solution
Set the type of background user to
"Background" up to 4.6B
"System" as of 4.6C
This user type corresponds to the "Communication" type and may also perform background functions.
Through the Customizing, the BW user is automatically created by mistake as a communication user.Depending on your BW system release, you can solve this problem as follows:
BW 2.0B
 Import Support Package 24 for 2.0B (BW2.0B patch24 or SAPKW20B24) into your BW system. The Support Package is available once note 456551 with the short text "SAPBWNews BW 2.0B Support Package 24", which describes this Support Package in more detail, has been released for customers.
BW 2.1C
 Import Support Package 16 for 2.1C (BW2.1C patch16 or SAPKW21C16) into your BW system. The Support Package is available once note 456566 with the short text "SAPBWNews BW 2.1C Support Package 16" has been released for customers.

CNTL_ERROR while calling a function module from Java webdynpro

I am calling a RFC function module from javawebdynpro app
which inturn calls a function module performing BDC on CAPP transaction. When I run this from SE37 of the same system or a different system everything works fine. But when called from Java webdynpro app, it raises a CNTL_ERROR exception and creates a short dump.
Any help on this is highly appreciated

Good catch, BI Learner. This was exactly it: when assigning the values from SOURCEFIELDS directly to the import/export parameters, you have to make sure that the types are EXACTLY the same, otherwise it will not work (the routine stops with an error when calling the FM, but there is no dump).
Therefore, to solve my problem, I created the declarations precisely as expected by the FM and assigned the values to these fields:
