E-mail notification in approval process

Hello.
How to set e-mail notification only for main dimension;
for example - planning unit consist of entity (main dimension) and account (sub hierrachy) and user receive e-mail about any action in approval process on each account, but we would like to receive e-mail about any action only for unit of entity.
EPM 11.1.2.1

Hi,
As per my knowledge, this restriction cannot be provided in planning approval process.
We are not having so much customization rights in email notification process of planning.

we established an approval process for specific documents in our KM repository.
Additonally to the notifications in the notification i-View we want to send out notification e-Mails at each approval step.
We have also a subscription service on the related folders, but they only send out an e-Mail when the approval process is finished and the document is already published.
Can anybody tell what we have to do to send out e-Mails at every approval step?

How to send a group notification in approval process?

I'd like to send a group notification in approval process, so as to tell them that they hava pending tasks in OIM.
As if the out of the box does not support sending an email to a group of users. I have written the custom code
to implement it, but I don't know where should I attach the adapter/event handler in the approval process.
Any suggestions will be helpful! Thanks!

I you can attach the adapter to to approval task as you attach adapter to other process task.If you are writing task assignment adapter then you can also attach this adapter in assignment tab.

Problem encountered while sending a mail notification from BPEL process

Hi All,
I am fresher in BPEL world, I am trying to send a notification mail to user using BPEL process. I had done all the configuration needed for mail notification process given in the developer guide.
I am able send a notification mail to intended recipent and also able to receive response activity from the BPEL process.
but, I am getting the following error in the server console.

Mail Notification for Approval

Hello,
I want to be able to send e-mail's for notification to the approvers to approve the work item (contract, shopping cart) and to a group of people information mail once the work item (contract, shopping cart) is approved and PO is created and sent to the backend.
What is not clear to me is, do i need to use Alert and Event Management or it is only through the workflow. ( We have implemented n-step approval BADI for contract and SC) ?

Gaia,
There are two approaches.
You can schedule std. report RSWUWFMLEC to run at regular intervals. This report sends an email to the mail client of employees who have specified that their work items are to be forwarded there. The report creates an email for each work item that can be processed. (Program RSWUWFMLEC is used to send the email data to EBP. Then program RSCONN01 is used to send the email to external mail servers.)
OR you can add the send mail step in your n-step approval BADI. You have to format the text on your own using the data available in BUS2121.

E-mail notification in SRM 7.0 for Shopping Cart Workflow

Hi Gurus
We have a requirement in SRM 7.0 Process Controlled Workflow.
1. To send E-mail notification to approver Outlook / lotus notes in case of SC goes for approval.
2. Incase SC is rejected by the approver then the E-mail notification has to be send to the creator of SC.
How do we configure this E-mail Notification in SRM 7.0 . Also , how do we include Customized E-Mail text while sending these notifications.

you can check for event control enter event Approval_process_doc_rejected Or Approval_process_doc_approved
and event category, event sub category

PO approval from e-mail notifications

Hi All,
We have implemented Oracle EBS 11.5.10.2 on Windows (Financials and SCM).
Managers who are responsible for approving POs, want to approve the POs from their e-mails notifications.
I want to know how to implement this though I know this is possible. I have configured Java Workflow Notification Mailer and Test Mails are going, but want to know how to configure PO approval.
Do I need to follow the steps given in:

ThiruHi there are two types of configurations to handle notifications.
1. Outbound configuration: Responsible for sending notifications out.
2. Inbound configuration: Responsible for reading and taking necessary action after receiving notification.
What you have already done is outbound (sending e-mails). Now you need to configure Inbound.
Please see Notification mailer in section
Once it opens in outlook, make sure it has the "NID (Notification id)" at the bottom and send it to the inbound e-mail you have configured in notification mailer.

Confustion whether wf approval mail notification wasapproved or not by user

User after receiving the approval notification in mail from workflow is confused whether he has approved or kept in hold. Some times does not know which he has approved if he is checking later after reading the mails of approval notifiction from workflow.
kindly suggest on this, if user can have confirmation after he has approved a mail notification.

Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
In the workflow we recursively send notifications to that user as long as there are some unprocessed records in our custom table. The issue now is the users claim that the mails are not received by them in our live instance. While debugging we noticed that the mail_status is null and status is CANCELED for this particular workflow always.
I checked the following and they are correct:
1. Notification 'On Revisit' parameter set to 'Reset'
2. Checked in fnd_user and wf_local_roles, the user is active and the email id is correct there
3. No timeout parameters set for this notification
P.S. Notifications to this user are sent properly when sent from some other workflows. So not sure whether something is missing in the above workflow process. Can you find any errors in the Workflow log file?
It is really strange that the notification status is CANCELED. The begin and end date are same for such notifications. So these are not canceled by some abort process activities.

MM Approval Process and email notifications

I am looking for a concrete answer to the following MM/ workflow questions?
1. My Client wants approval process flow: purchaser to Line manager to Head of department to Finance to Material owner.
Is this a 'z' table and development is required to acheive this. Can we do the above process thought the classification system? Please give me more details.

This requirement will be fillfilled by PO Release procedure provided by SAP..
This is pure configuration.

For this you have to setup Workflow...Consult with your Workflow Consultant.

CUP: Notification Mail after Role Approval

Dear SAP Experts
We are running GRC AC 5.3 SP11.2 and facing a problem with the CUP workflow behavior.
Each time we change a existing user in the system and assign him at least two new roles with diffrent role owners, we get some problems at the role owner approval stage.
As soon as the first role owner provides his role approval a message is sent out to the requestor, manager and user that all changes to the user profile are done. This behavior repeats for each role owner which has to provide a approval to that request. The roles it self are assigned to the user account when the last role owner approved the request.
Under AC 5.2 we had only one mail beeing sent out to the requestor, manager and user when all roles were approved.
The role owner stage has following settings:
Approval Type --> All Approvers
Do we have to customize some more settings as well?

Under AC 5.2 we used the Notification Configuration / Approved Mail to inform the defined persons that the request is approved and provisioning is done. This mail has been sent out only once to the persons after all role owners worked on the request. Obviously AC 5.3 behaves different after we have done the migration:-))

CUP e-mail notifications + submit and approve requests

Hi experts,
I configured the workflows in CUP and now im trying to configure the email notifications . The CAD's that I've set are:
1. Request Petitioner
2. Internal Control
3. Security
and the approver determinator for each stage are:
1. Petitioner
2. Internal Control
3. Security
So, I need to know two thinks:
1. Could the person who submits a request, send it and approve with a single mouse click? given that the same person must submit a request and then approve it, would it be possible to perform both actions at once?
2. I would like to set e-mail notifications to the appropiate role owner, it 's possible? The problem is that we don´t set the role owners like approvers determinator.

Hi Marta,
In answer to question #1: You could possibly achieve this by changing your workflow but I do not think you want to do so. You would have to guarantee that submission was always done by those that approve the first stage in you workflow.
Question #2: I am not sure I understand what you would like to do. From what you state, I am assuming the Role approvers are stored in the Role file (CUP >> Configuration Tab >> Roles >> Search Roles/Create Roles) and not in a CAD. Are you looking to personalize the email for each role approver so he/she knows exactly which of his/her roles are in the request to approve from the email notification?

How to go about creating e-mail notifications for Process-chain failures in BI 7.0. When I tried to right click on the Process Variant and select create Message, It doesnt shows me the screen to add the reciepients, instead it prompts me to with "Insert Send Message"

Approval Process through mail in OIM

Hi,
I need your views for the best way to meet this requirement:
Let's say a user is provisioned to a resource and resource has been configured with a approval process. The System Administrator 'xelsysadm' approval has been set to auto-complete so that step of approval is done automatically and the approval goes to the main approver of the resource. Now i require to send the requests generated in last 30 minutes only which are meant for an approver by grouping them and then sending them in a mail in HTML format to take further action.

Business Process Monitoring - E-mail notification

Hi all!
I'm using BPM but i´m having problems with the e-mail notifications.
In the Jobs option I´m receiving the e-mails correctly, but in the dialog transactions I do not receive anything. The main problem is that I can see in RZ20 (in the satellite system) that I do have pendind alerts that werent even generated in SolMan.
Does anyone has any idea what could be happening?
