E-Recruitment extenal job posting

Hi All
In E-Recruitment i need to display the list of job requirements in external site ( monster, jobpost etc) from the external site if user clicks on the job requirement i need to take him to the portal
Please let me know is this possible in portal.
if not how can we achive this in E-Recruitment.
Also please let me know what are the changes i need to do for this.
Thanks & Regards
Daya

you have to create your own class (publication class, as a copy of the standard ones).
You than assign that class to the job posting channel in the customizing (SPRO - IMG)
Check the documentation on the step in the IMG (the posting channels config)

  • HCM 9.1 recruiting & RTF job posting descriptions

    Good morning,
I've been looking at the 9.1 recruiting functionality with resumes and job posting descriptions; Recruiting now allows RTF information to be stored in the database. I'm finding that this will break a lot of integrations that are expecting plaintext in these fields. I wanted to ask whether anyone knows of any standard PC functions that would essentially strip out all of the [p], [br] and other tags from RTF text ? I think that this would be a tough ask to code as a function.
    Regards,
    John

In fact, after testing a while after the fact, the strip HTML function specifically leaves the RTF tags alone. If anyone has worked this out, I'd be interested to hear it.

  • E-Recruiting job posting XML

    Hi,
I was wondering if there is any standard programs or solution to collect the job posting in e-Recruitiing.
I would like to collect all the job posting and send and XML with the data via HTTP to an external application.
    any help will be appreciated.
    thanks.

    hello Eduardo,
as far as I know for using the XI solution for publishing e-recruiting postings you need to do the following steps:
First of all, if not already done, you should contact the different Job Boards to provide their XML requirements.
For XI there is an extra installation / addon package which contains the XI e-recruiting structures. I am not really sure about the name but it should be found in the servie marketplace.
Then you have to link the XI server to the E-recruiting server. That means doing all the Admin stuff which is not e-recruting specific.
In the e-recruting system you define posting channels for the Jobboards. I prefere having one per Jobboard. You do that via IMG -> SAP E-Recruiting -> Recruitment -> Req. Management -> Job Posting -> Define Posting Channels. In the channel you use class CL_HRRCF_PUBLISHER_XI as publishing class.
Then you have to activate the periodical service PUBLICATION_VIA_XI within the technical settings of the e-recruting customizing. The service itself should already defined.
Then you have to restart the periodical service job in SM36/SM37 so it really runs the new service.
From there on the Posting data should be transfered to the XI system where you can create the transformation s to get the data into the format th Jobboards require.
You might also have a look on the SLG1 if something is not set up properly the periodical service should write an entry there. Furthermore you can check table T77RCF_XI_PUB. This is the publisher table for the XI. You can see which posting instances wait for publishing, which are published and which are withdrawn.
I hope that helps you in configuration.
    Rgds.

  • What URL for E-recruiting page  to use from external job posting web site

    Hello,
What is the standard SAP entrance back to E-recruiting from an external job posting site? We have sent our job postings to an external web site vender (Monster) to be posted for candidates to review. On the review page at Monster is the Apply Now button for a particular job. When the candidate clicks the Apply Now button, we would like the job detail to show within E-recruiting for the reference code of the job posted. Otherwise, the candidate has to repeat the job search within E-recruiting to get to the referenced details. Currently, we have a custom enhancement to populate the reference code (parsing it from the URL) to the Job Search page so at least the candidate can click one more time on the search button and the details display. Is there a standard page or better way to get to the job details in E-recruiting without custom enhancements coming from the external job posting web site?
    Using BSP and non-XI platform
    ECC 5.0 E-recruiting version
    Please advise,
    Cindy

    Hello Cindy,
this is not very difficult and completly possible within the standard application functions. As you show all position data already in the page of the job board (like Monster) you use a link which dirctly referes the applicant to the page where he enters name and mail-address to apply for the job (if he like to see the postion instance again this page do includes a link to the data overview).
The link you use is the same link used in the "request for application" correspondence with which you can request a candidate youidentified in your talent pool to apply for a position.
The link should be available directly if you use the XI integration scenario but can be created very easily. Only 2 things to know:
    - do you use the standard posting channel ID 0002 for external postings or have you confiqured a custom posting channel for posting at monster
    - how do you get the job information to the monster guys. As you wrote you do not use the XI integration, so have you created a customer own publisher to dump all information to a share where monster is reading it automatically or do you maintain the publications by hand?
If you could give me this information i'll post the easiest way to get the link.

  • E-Recruiting - Job Posting using smart Forms

    Hello,
Iam working on adding some customized content to the Job posting which would be visible to the candidates when doing a job search and applying for jobs.
I have browsed through SAP blogs which have information on using SAP Smart forms for Job posting but never knew how to go about the whole thing.
I would also want to add my client logo and some image files for the Job posting.
Can some one provide insights on how exactly to do that?
P.S --> I found some information on u201CBAdI: Specify Proposal Texts for Postingsu201D  on SAP Help but could'nt find any such one in R/3 to work on. We are running version 6.0.
    Thanks
    G Raj
Edited by: G Raj on Aug 29, 2008 2:45 PM

    Hello G Raj,
the BAdI you found is only for providing standard texts in the posting maintainence. If implemented it sets text you use again and again depending on requisition attibutes so the recruiter does not have to type in everything each time.
For the publication smartform, as for any other data overview, you do not change the standard you just replace the standard example by your company one. You start by copying the standard smartform to keep the correct interface (all e-recruiting smartforms are named HRRCF*) and changing to the layout you need. Then you set the smartform in IMG under SAP E-Recruiting -> Technical Settings -> User Interfaces -> Settings for User Interfaces with Business Server Pages (BSP) -> Assign Parameters to Parameter Types.

  • E-Recruiting Job Posting Text

    Hello,
We are using E-Recruiting 6.0 Release 603 (EhP3 has not yet been activated)
Is it possible to convert non ASCII characters into ASCII characters when copying and pasting text from MS Word into an E-Recruiting job posting?  We have found that many external job boards do not support many of the characters found in MS Word.  This causes junk characters to appear in some of our job postings, e.g. apostrophes, accented letters (é), bullets, etc.  Frequently we will just copy and paste text from MS Word into E-Recruiting.
Where I can find more information relating to control over formatting and character types for job posting text in E-Recruiting?
Has anyone else experience these issues?  How did you resolve them?
    Thanks!
    Ryan

    Hello Ryan,
copying texts from Word into the posting texts is in fact even more tricky than you so far experienced - Surprise, Suprise!
In addition to the issue with external job boards copying texts directly into the posting texts can transfer non printable characters which prevent the posting from being indexed in the TREX search engine. As a result this posting will not be found in the standard e-recruiting job search without any error shown in the sap e-recruiting system. Took me some days to find this as the character was displayed as SPACE in the ui. As a general recommendation I request end users to at least copy a word text to notepad first and than copy from there to e-recruiting to get rid of at least the most non printable characters.
Next to this solution I'd like to ask what you want to achieve. You could always try some modification to prevent the system if wrong characters are entered or at least displays a warning if they are saved - a direct transformation would be possible with EhP4 in a BAdI for posting texts which could be misused for this requirement. You could also let the system send you a mail by a workflow if a posting with such letters is released. So you could avoid modification. Or you could build a customer publisher for the jobboard which transforms the letters assuming you can define a sufficient replacment algorithm. Overall I recommend an implementation with a positive list of allowed characters as you can never know which characters will appear (I use such things in my BW transformations).
If you give some additional information we could work on a more detailed solution.

  • E-Recruiting - job title in job posting

    Hi All,
When a job requisition is posted what job title is displayed in the posting is it the Job Title in the Job details section while creating requisition or the Job Posting Header while creating the job posting.

    Hi,
It is same as Job Posting Title. Whatever you enter as title will get reflected in the Header.
Make sure that Status should be released.

  • Linking to a document  saved in KM via Job Posting Overview  in EREC 300

    Hello Gurus,
An attachment was added to a requisition as a part of the normal process of creating a requisition (in EREC 300) . I would now like to access this attachment as a link from within the Job Publication / Posting Instance Overview .  In order to achieve this ,I proceeded as follows:
    1.     I read the Document ID from the table T77RCF_DOCID for the Infotype 5134 and field name 'ATTACHMENT'.
    2.     Next got the attachment URL using the following code
    CALL METHOD cl_hrrcf_hrkwf_storage=>get_url_for_bsp
        EXPORTING
          doc_id   = l77rcf_docid-docid
          hrobject = ls_req_object
          version  = lv_version
        IMPORTING
          url      = attachment_url.
    3.     Next I added this URL as a link to my Overview Smartform.
When I now try to click on this link from within the E-Recruiting ( on the Job Publication Overview) it gives me this error:
    <i><b>SSF error: Decoding not possible</b></i>
The URL for  the link was found to be:
    <i>http://loki.shef.ac.uk:1080/sap/bc/contentserver/220?get&pVersion=0046&contRep=HR_KW_CONT&docId=464842A311AB2785E10000008FA70117&compId=Wagetype%20Reporter%20for%20Period%20010405-310306%20for%20emp-3531803.txt&accessMode=r&authId=CN%3DDR3&expiration=20070517163938&secKey=MIHxBgkqh</i>
What is the best way of reading this custom link (which is stored in the KM)? Please note all standard links (say in the Requisition Overview Smartform and Job Posting Overview Smartform) seems to be working just fine.
    Any idea would be welcome!

    Hi Rajeev,
The below FM works now, actually when u execute this FM it does not give the whole complete URL , so in the debug mode of FM try to get the the whole URL link with the full 32/64 bit (guid) and then check the url in browser with http protocal , it should work.

  • Enhancement :Requisitions and Job posting

    I know badi  for e-recruitment:- HRRCF00_GET_EXT_CODE .
and as per my requirement ..plz provide me solution
The Reference Code should be auto generated with an identifier for the company which the vacancy belongs to, following an identifier for the year and a sequential number and a suffix identifying whether the posting channel is internal or external.
On a requisition (Object type NB) the branch is selected. u201CLocationu201D is assigned to u201CInstituteu201D.
Location = T77RCFBRANCHCOMP-COMPANY (Get the long text from table T77RCF_COMPANY)
    Institute = HRP5162-BRANCH
u2022     The same company identifier and year must be applied for the same published requisition. The sequence number generated will differ as the reference code must be unique.
u2022     For the company identifier, a custom table needs to be developed and maintained where the companies defined in table T77RCF_COMPANY are mapped to a 1-3 character long identifier.
u2022     The identifier for u201CYearu201D must be based upon the date for when the requisition was created u2013 not published.
The sequence number should be unique within each company, i.e.
    u2022     W-09-00001-E
    u2022     W-09-00002-I
    u2022     A-09-00001-E
Note: The sequence number needs to be updated in the table so the last used number is kept and when a new publication is created, the next number should be used.
The posting channel can be derived from field CANDIDATE_CLASS (db table: T77RCF_POSTCHN)
    Example:
    W-09-00001-E

    Excellent Andy.
Thank you so much. When I used this service in the role, I am able to see the dashboard and the requisitions raised by the recruiting manager.
    You deserve full points
Another issue is: when I click on the requisition and hit "Job Posting", I am getting this error (please see attached screen shot). The same error is displayed when clicked on the requisition from the dashboard.
Even the requisition status is "Draft" and not released.
