E65 email user defined port keeps changing

I have setup my Nokia e61 with email and I set the outgoing port to "User defined" and a port number of 465 and my email works fine. Then after an indefinate period I review the settings and it changes it back by itself to port 25 and my email stops working. Anyone seen this issue and know how to ensure the port stays on the value I set it?

That user defined fields are having categories.
UDF settings are applied according to Category.
But every now and then that user defined fields settings are changing automatically.
Means some times the field appears & some times not.
How to overcome this situation.

Receiving email notification of port state changes

Hello
I have a small SAN comprising 4 x MDS9509's and a Fabric Manager Server.
The FMS is set to email fabric events, but it doesn't email on port state changes i.e. IF_DOWN_LINK_FAILURE and IF_UP. I'm assuming this is because they are not actual fabric changes.
What is the best way for me to be able to receive email notification of these changes?

Email name and user account pictures keep changing

My wife and I share contacts and calendars using my iCloud account. She syncs her notes and reminders using her iCloud account. This seems to work fine, but a problem has arisen that I suspect is related to this setup that I don't know how to resolve. When I send an email from my iCloud account it now has a from address of "my wife's name <[email protected]>" instead of "my name <[email protected]>". Also the account login picture for my Mac's user account has been replaced with hers. The latter I can reset (I don't know how to fix the former) but eventually the problem seems to recur. I'm not sure if this is related but our contacts list identifies my address book card with the "this is me" tag.

#1 I am 99.5% sure (but only 99.5% if you aren't a gambling man) that when you delete a user's account using the accounts preferences all their stuff gets put into a "deleted users" folder in the users directory on the computer, so it is still all there until you trash that folder. Their account is gone but their files are still around.
#2 I don't actually have an "applications" folder in my account, there is just one at the main directory level, so I don't think each user necessarily has one by default. However, each user has a bunch of preferences so when I start an application it comes up with my preferences. Another user will have the application come up with their preferences. That's not to say I couldn't have an application in my account area, but I could in theory have an application tucked away in any folder or subfolder and not readily identifiable as such. Any applications not in the general applications folder usually won't be accessable to other users so unless you're logging as that old user you may not even know about applications there.

Port keeps changing

Every time I log out of Mail (3.6), or the computer goes to sleep, the port changes. My ISP says it is the software, not them. If I go to Mail Preferences, select Outgoing Mail Server, and pull down to Edit, then go to Advanced, there are two choices: Default and Custom. The ISP says I should use Custom and enter 25, although in the past I always used Default. The Custom 25 works fine until I log out, then it switches to 587 and won't send mail until I go thru the process again. Any idea how to configure the port so it doesn't keep switching? I'm on 10.5.7 and have never had this problem for years, using the same ISP.

I am having a similar problem.
I have Mail Version 3.6 (935/935.3) and have just connected with a new ISP with new modem/router and all. However, I doubt this is the problem, as it has never occurred before no matter what, where or how I am connected to the internet. Although the coincidence is suspicious.
I have my own website with email address, my host in US asks me to use Port 26. So, fine, i set it all up using the same methods mentioned above, try to send my email, it fails, I open it back up and the custom port number has changed? But... i can still receive emails??!!
Driving me nuts, any assistance please!

Why does the RMI port keep changing?

I have set up an RMI server process on a Sun server (SunOS 5.8) and I am running the client process from another Sun server (SunOS 5.9). I created a policy file on the client machine providing access to port 1099 on the server machine.
I kept getting connection refusals, and every time I did, it was on a different port. I changed the policy file to allow any port from 1099 on up in order to get around the problem. I tried to start up the rmiregistry with 1099 as an argument, and that did not help. What's going on?

(a) You will always get a different client side port, that's normal.
(b) the Registry port is 1099 but RMI servers are exported on a system-selected port unless you specify one. If your Registry and RMI servers are in the same JVM they can share ports

Remote Desktop TS ports keep changing

I am using a windows 8 pro to RDP to a windows 7 machine. I also have a printer on the windows 8 machine that is connecting and I installed a printer on the windows machine using the ts port for connection and works fine all software is able to print to
the printer with no issues. Problem is when you log off and back on again the ts port changes and it will not print without going into the printer on the windows 7 machine and changing the ts ports. But not everyone has admin rights so they can't just do that.
Is there a way to lock the ts port that the printer is assigned when connected using RDP? Thanks.

If my understanding is right, the TS port changes when you log off and back on again, and you need to change the TS port in Windows 7.
Please run the printer troubleshooter in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting\All Categories

I changed the outgoing default connection in E55 here:
menu. email. settings. mymailbox. mailbox settings. advanced mailb settings.outgoing mail settings. access point in use. user defined
now when i do a email message it doesnt send when i choose send in any new email message
it seems a bug, because it does not quit of the send option, it appears a little window sending email, but it does not send!
then if i try to get out the only options are delete/save to drafts
can this be fixed?

By "game center account", do you mean Apple ID?
If so, you can change it.
1. Tap settings and navigate to iTunes and App Stores
2. Tap "Apple ID" and then tap "Sign Out"
3. Log in with a different ID.

Firstly, if you have 'Find My iPhone/iPad/iMac' enabled on any of your devices, turn it off.
Create a new email address, for example at Yahoo or Gmail, or anywhere convenient (or you can use an existing address as long as it has never been associated with an Apple ID).
Go to http://appleid.apple.com and click 'Manage your Apple ID'. Sign in with the current ID.
Where it says 'Apple ID and primary email address' and gives your current ID email address, click 'edit'.
Enter your new address and click 'Save changes'.
Now you will need to go to each of your devices and sign out in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud - 'Sign out' on a Mac, 'Delete this account' on an iOS device (this will not delete the account from the server).
Then sign back in with your new ID. Your iCloud data will disappear from your devices when you sign out, but reappear when you sign back in.
I re-iterate: before you start, turn off 'Find My Mac' (or whatever) or you will need the services of Support.

Logical Database PSJ is used by t code CJI3 - we added a couple of user fields into the dynamic selections of CJI3.
Now - how to change the text of this user filed (USR01 of structure PRSP_R in logical database PSJ)?
Found an OSS note - 86980 - that tells that this is not possible.
But when we read the documentation on the user field (CJI3 - dynamic selections - double click on user field - F1), it shows the following text:
User-defined field in which you can enter general information with a length of up to 20 characters.
Dependencies
The names (key words) for user-defined fields depend on the field key.
Now the question is where to change the field key..

Tabbed navigation,Theme change and User define templates problem

Hi,
·     I have created an application in which I have defined many page,page regions,buttons,forms templates myself.
·     The end user has now requested for a tabbed look and feel for the same and that too in a different theme (color red)
·     However, inclusion of tabs to the application plus a change in the theme color (to red) in this case causes all user defined templates to behave erratically.
·     I guess these templates will have to be redefined in this new theme. I tried to copy some of these today but got weird results.
Without all these templates in place the look and feel of the application will not be as usual.
·     Also,I had posted a thread on the APEX forums concerning tabs and have received information that each page in the application has to be manually added to the tab set in a situation such as this.This will really increase the time taken to achieve the desired application navigation.
I would appreciate some good advice as how to get this appliction navigation running smoothly in a tabbed format in the least possible time.

I would have a look at the Lists in Shared Components which allow you to create Tabs as well.
They are a bit more flexible.
