E65: Hide Message Notifier

This is only a minor problem yet it still bugging me everyday. Im having trouble with this message notifier, "1 new message". It always appears on screen eventhough the message notifier of the Active Standby is on. Before I already disabled it, but when I restore my phone settings it keeps on displaying everytime a new message received. I can't now remember how did I disable that message notfier. I simply dont used to it. It really annoys me everytime i saw that message notifier. I want only the message notifier of the Active Standby to be displayed. Please help me with this.

its not the content that i wanted to hide, its the notifier itself.

How to hide messages in Excel Planning

We are implementing SAP IP and as part of this we are creating planning queries in workbook for excel based planning applications. Here whenever user opens workbook, we are getting popup for some system message. Also each save, value check command will have messages getting triggered at the bottom. Users are getting annoyed with these kind of messages. What is the way to hide these messages.? We had tried to hide messages at query level in RSRT but no help. Any input regarding this is appreciated !

you can do the settings for this one either in BEx Analyzer (Excel) or Web Application Designer (WAD), not in BEx Query Designer.

Outlook 2010 RTM - Hide Message Headers

Good Day,
I pulled down Office 2010 RTM from TechNet last night, uninstalled the beta version, installed RTM. One thing that I'm noticing with Outlook is that, unlike the beta, I'm unable to hide message headers within the preview pane. If I go to the
view tab on the ribbon, then click View Settings | Other Settings ... then put a check in the "Hide header information" box, click OK | OK ... the change doesn't stick, headers are still visible. Anyone else experiencing this? Any known
workaround?

I hope that when you say, “We are tracking that change to remove it for a later update...” you’re saying that what will
be removed is the lack of a hide header feature and not the removal of the hide header interface. It’s just a bad an ill conceive feature to remove in the first place.
After spending several days of trying to find a solution or workaround I deleted my Outlook 2010 and purchased OL2007 just for this feature.
Unfortunately OL2006 caused problems with Office 2010 so I returned for a refund and repurchased OL2010. This resulted in a week of trouble shooting, a waste of my time as well as the time of techsupport personnel at Dell and the retail store where I purchased
the Dell, and the Microsoft Office online store. The whole process also used up 600 of my cell phone rover minutes.
I’m not disclosing the above for sympathy but just to let Microsoft know what the consequences are to a bad idea to drop the hide header
feature. It should be optional as it always has.

In lion mac mail show or hide message preview

in mac mail the message preview says to double-click the separator bar to show or hide preview. I do and it closes ok, but will not open again. I double click on both sides it does not open again. Is there a macro to open and close the preview pane?

great you have just solved my problem I tried to get the preview pain back for hours lol it does however work for me if I double tap the right side about half way down the side of the window there is a spot when you close the preview window and I double clicked there and it re appears thanks for solving this issue I knew it would be something easy when you know how

UNHIDE/HIDE MESSAGE NOTIFICATION ON HOME SCREEN

I currently have a Nokia E63. I have hidden the message notification box on my home screen by using the backspace button. Does anyone know how to get (unhide) that box?

It's amazing how the Nokia guide book tells you:
"To view the notifications, scroll to a box. Each box is only visible if there are items in it. TO hide the boxes, press the backspace key."
And then there is nothing on how to unhide the boxes.
So I found the solution. I'm getting a Blackberry. Thanks for unsupport Nokia.

Sorry, no. Other than passcode protecting your phone, there is no way to do that. Why don't you just create a current backup, then: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. When you get the phone back, just restore it from the backup you created.

This message is reduce performance agents, when it's work with Web UI.
This message is appears at another component/operation too.

Hi Denis,
You can enhance the search method. Put a break point at cl_bsp_wd_message_service=>get_instance or cl_bsp_wd_message_service=>ADD_MESSAGE and you will see where the message is set .

E65 - Writing messages

I am now on my 3rd Nokia E65 within 3 weeks, because when I write text messages the screen often flashes whenever I start a new line. However it is inconsistent and really quite random. Unfortunately it is highly irritating and it was not 3rd time lucky as phone number 3 is also doing it. Has anyone else encountered this? Please help!!!!
Other than that the phone is pretty cool.

This is a common problem on the E65. Mine does it too.
It is a software problem and nokia have not released any software updates to fix this problem, along with it's bucket load of bugs.
The E65 could be a great phone if nokia fixed it's dodgy software.

E65: Encrypt Message Folder

Is there any application to encrypt messages folders in a nokia phone?

None that I am aware of.
I use a software called 'Advance Device Locks' on my E90 and E50. This SW can protect the built in messaging program (or any other Application) from opening without a password. (I think it should be usable on E65 too, you can download a trial version and test it).
This SW has other, usable, features but I extensively use 'Application protection'. Especially for Gallery, File Manager and Messenger (which save username and password and will sign in once selected).

E65 small message alert font

I recently purchased a nokia e65 phone. Ive noticed the message alert box is so small you dont really know that youve received a message. somehow out of luck while fidding around with it a larger box appeared at the bottom of the screen. unfortunately i somehow managed to lose this setting and it has again gone back to the very small writing in the line above the "no cal entried for today" line, for a new message received. can anyone help me who may have encountered this same problem please. ive gone through the whole manual and there is no help in relation to this. its driving me crazy, given Im so used to it on my previous phone.

The last name first name display for contact in the SMS inbox is completely retarded. If you enter a contact into your contact list with their entire name in the 'first name' field, then the SMS inbox will display a message from that person with first name last name. That's good.
But if you put the contact's first name in the first name field, and their surname in the last name field, the inbox will display them in last name first name order. That's just dumb. And btw this is all with the contact list set to show first name last name.
How can there be no setting to change this? So annoying.

On my Pearl I had an envelope appear when i had a voice message and on the 8900 i have a strange symbol. How do i get the envelope back? Is it even possible? Thanks

From your home screen go to Profiles -> scroll down to Advanced -> highlight the active profile and click menu button and select Edit -> select your Message (desktop, yahoo, gmail etc.) and hit the trackball -> Out of holster: Tone, Tune: Select your preferred one, Volume: select high/medium/low. Hit the Menu button and Save the changes.

Does encrypt and deliver now action hide message contents from content filtering?

If users use the Outlook plugin and select the option to encrypt instead of flag for encryption, does this prevent content rules from checking the contents of the message because it is already encrypted in Outlook before the IronPort can see the content?

No - it is only doing a quick prep of the message itself from Outlook > ESA for the encryption process on the ESA. It does not encrypt any aspect of the message in Outlook.

Gmail IMAP new message notify sound

I recently setup my IMAP GMail account using Mail 3.3 but when I receive a message the red notification icon appears but no notification sound...
Is this normal? Can it be fixed?

This is a known bug, it has been around since 10.5.0. The bug is currently being investigated by Apple Engineering.
