E71 Messages are not being received by phone

I am able to send messages to everyone but whenever somebody replies, I do not get a notification. I have to restart my phone everytime to get the messages that people sent me on my number.
This is extremely annoying and was not the case before. Also, when I get a message from my contacts, the inbox only displays the number inspite of having the person's details stored on the phone. This never happened before.
Please help ASAP.

Check your profile settings and goto menu-> tools-> settings-> general-> pesonalisation-> home screen-> mode settings-> home screen applications-> e-mail 1 and 2.
Check for duplicates to show names and install "Conversation" from Nokia Beta Labs.

Try this out... this worked like a charm:
*On a desktop PC, log into your gmail account.
*Click the gear up in the top right corner > Settings
*Click Accounts
*Under "Change Account Settings", click "Other Goole Account Settings"
*Along the left, click "Security"
*Under 2-step verification, click "Manage your application specific passwords"
*It will ask for your usual gmail account password and take you to a page that says "
Authorized Access to your Google Account
*You will see a box to type in something (I just typed in iPad) then click "Generate Password"
*It will generate a random password for you... you will need this password Once in your iPad....
Now...
*Go to your iPhone Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Add Account>Google
*Type in your name, your usual gmail email address and for the password, type in that random one generated on your PC
It should work from there, if not follow what is below!

Host Name: imap.gmail.com
User name: (your gmail email address)
Password: TYPE IN THAT RANDOM PASSWORD AGAIN
Outgoing Mail Server:
Host name: smtp.gmal.com
User name (your gmail email address)
Password: TYPE IN THAT RANDOM PASSWORD AGAIN
Done

Hi, my Dad is on an orange network and so am I. i have an iphone4s but he is not receiving any of my sms texts. I am receiving his ok though.
Any suggestions please? Thanks.

Sorry to see the trouble you are having with messaging. One of the most basic things we want to use our phones for. Let’s see if we can get that working again. "Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped" error keeps popping up and text messages are not being received on Droid Maxx I got less than 2 weeks ago.

I upgraded to a Droid Maxx about 2 weeks ago and all seemed well. Last Friday, I started receiving an "Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped" error message randomly--sometimes when I was writing a text, sometimes when I would open other apps, there was no rhyme or reason to when it would occur. Now it also appears that I am not receiving some of my texts. I called Verizon Support who told me that they are experiencing this problem on several devices and that she was going to forward me to someone for help. 20 minutes later, no one had picked up and I had to leave. So I thought I would try here to see if Verizon has come up with a fix for this, if I should get another phone, or if they are working on a software update or something. Help, I really liked this phone until now!

I am using the messaging app that was preloaded with the phone, the green face icon. I do not have an "Android Keyboard" app, but I have cleared the cache on the "Messaging" app, several times. I have also gone to the Verizon store where an associate did a soft reboot, telling me that would work. A very short time later, the error message started appearing again--so this did not work either.
The error message comes very sporadically. Sometimes several in a few minutes, other times not for hours.

What colour is the text box on the iPhone when sending the message, blue or green?
If you was to turn off iMessage then swap sims (if you can) are you then able to send/receive respectively?
What phone model and brand is your friends phone and did they ever have a iPhone?

Make sure People Sending you via iMessage are sending their messages on your PHONE number not on your EMAIL addresses . My sister had the same problem, thats how i managed to solve it!

Messages are not being saved on N96

On my N96 I have set save sent messages and receive report as 'yes' but after updating firmware (20.050) messages are not being saved.Is there any solution to someone.

I have exactly the same problem with my N95 but I can't really say when it started. Suddenly I just noticed my phone didn't save sent messages anymore and hadn't done it for some time, but can't really tell after what it started to occur. Really strange problem, not even reseting back to factory settings helped - after I put "receive report" option back it stops saving sent messages to sent folder. Actually if I go to "sent" folder quickly after sending the sms, it shows there for little moment before disappears. Really strange. I couldn't google any other information about this problem than this topic.

Read and deleted messages are not being updated on my iphone 4s

I have a new user who is having a synchronization issue with his iPhone. When he reads emails on his desktop, the messages on his iPhone 4s show as being unread. The end user just started with the company a week ago and he is using Outlook 2010. We never had this issue in the past. Active sync has been enabled on user’s account and he was able to configure the firm's Exchange email profile on his iPhone. Although he is able to receive messages on his mobile device, it does not sync with his desktop email. I asked him to delete the profile on the device and create it again, but he wants to do that as a last option.

If your iPad is signed into an old ID and you are trying to change it, if the old ID is yours, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Sharing photos by email - Emails are not being received

My photos which I have shared by email are not being received, even though I have a confirmation that they have been sent (one photo has been sent).
I am using a @me.com email address and I have tried to send a photo to myself and this has still not been come through.

Do you have iPhoto setup to email the photos itself or use Mail to email the photos?

Yahoo e-mails are not being received on iphone 4. I had to go website to retrieve about 50 emails from last couple of days. Everything looks correct in settings and I haven't changed anything that I know of. Please help if you've encountered this issue.

Alan, how you're doing?
You already know issue is not with the email account, since it's working on another devices.
Now you have to define whether it is a user specific or system wide issue.
Create another user account through system prefereces > users and groups. Try to set up account on the new test user.
If it works, get back to your main account, open mail application, go to menu > Window > open activity and connection doctor (Make sure you organize these tools in a way that allows you to see both mail windows and activity/ connection doctor... Now, try to send a test email and you will see where the issue is.
Then...
Go to mail preferences > select your email account > click the - button to remove it and + to readd account.
Fill your full name, email address and password. Now, hold down option key and press continue... Insert incoming and outgoing information.
Any doubts, feel free to ask.

MY text messages are not being delivered. Keep coming back with the red saying "Not Delivered". Anyone know why this all of a sudden started happening and how to fix it?

Thank You Meg St._Clair contacted my carrier and fixed the problem on my iPhone 6 but still an issue on my iPad mini
Carrier could not fix the problem so said I would have to plug my iPad into my Mac and back it up and then restore factory settings
Havent done any of that yet!
