E71 - Problem with Flashlite 3

Hi, I have this unsual problem with the flashlite. For E71 - it is suppose to be integrated with the web browser. It worked well for the first couple of days - however after that when I tried to watch clips from YouTube - the video did managed to load. instead - the portion where the video is suppose to be was left empty.
I googled and found that e90 has similar problem from www.allaboutsymbian.com. Steve from AAS suggested for users to format their phone - ie *#7370# for flashlite to work properly again. I formatted my phone at least 3 times - but still in vain.
Do any of you have similar problem? Any solution for that?

I have a similar problem, but when I put those files from a sd card to a phone memory, they show up. Otherwise I have to browse the phone to get those files

E71 problem with BT stereo headphones

I have got a E71 and I have a problem with the BT stereo headphones (Model Clip IIs of I-TECH I have some time with other phones and I have never given any problem) I use to listen to MP3s on my SD, and the fact that at some point the sound begins to 'stutter', that is no longer playing but continues to sobs, the sound comes and goes ... it does not always but sometimes, and sometimes no But often jumps out the problem and I have to close the player, wait a while 'and then restart it. Given that the first thing I did was upgrade to the latest version noBrand FW 110.07.127 RM-436 09/10/2008, but has not resolved ...

I think this is due to the phone's CPU getting overloaded by having to recompress the audio stream for A2DP (the BT profile used for stereo). Avoid running any other apps when you're listening to music and see what happens.

E71 - Problems with dictonary and languages instal...

Hi to everybody!
I have a problem with my dictonary but I can't find a solution.
My firmware version is 110.07.127 09-10-2008 rm-346 nokia e71-1 (17).
My default pre-installed language is English.
I have installed 2 languages in the memory card: Italian and Turkish.
At this point, I have tried to install (in the memory card) another language (Croatian) but at the end of the language installation the dictionary forced me to remove one language.
I have also tried to uninstall languages by Application Manager with no success...when I have tried to reinstall languages, I have got the same message.
I can't find a solution to this problem.
Can you help me?

Nokia E71 problem with New Firmware 410.21.010

I have updated my Nokia E71 (RM-346) to new firmware 410.21.010. It creating a problem with battery that drain out quickly. Before update, for normal use, I need to charge once a week. But after upgrade new firmware 410.21.010. It finishes in 24 hour for normal use. I have read article that I can not downgrade, just only to wait for next firmware. Have some one any solution?

I had a Nokia E71 running very happily on version 3 firmware. I updated the firnware to 410.21.010.
It worked fine until I switched the phone off and tried to re-start the phone. It stopped working.
It is my work phone. The messaage on the phone said take it back to my retailer. He tried to get it fixed but because Nokia say it is out of warranty I am out of a phone that is set up to use the Oki system.
It worked perfectly well until the software update.
It is now at my retailer waiting for me to collect.
This is very disappointing.
Especially as I am now considering not using a Nokia telephone ever again. Moreover, I am sure that Fair Trading would consider this matter very strange and might like ot investigate it further.
I want my E71 fixed for free by Nokia as it was working without any malfunctions until the firmware update - which was done after receiving notification from Nokia. I have not been able to use the Oki system for some weeks now and would like to contiue using Nokia. Otherwise I guess Nokia lose another customer to iPhone or HTC or Samsung. I await anyone's advice on this matter.

E71 problem with recieving text from international...

I have purchased a nokia e71 10 days back.everytime someone tries to send me a message from india or any other country i dont recieve it.any body any ideas how to fix it?

The jar files which were used are downloaded from http://jarfinder.com. Those jars created the problem of displaying those messages on console. I downloaded APIs from apache.org and used them in my application. Now my application is running good.

E71 - Problem with multiple recipients selection i...

I can see and mark all contacts on my contact list while in "To" when creating a new text message. However the "OK" button is missing on the left lower corner of the screen while "Back", on the right, is active. I can type in recipients, though this is tedious when I need to select multiple recipients.
Further probing brought up another problem - I can see all my contacts on my phone but cannot find the contact folder nor can I backup my contacts.

When I add contacts to a blank SMS on my E73, I see a list of people with tick boxes to the left, and OK and Back options at the bottom. I don't need to select anything to make OK and Back selectable. If OK is missing for you, then I'm afraid you found a firmware bug. You could try fixing it with a hard reset or by reflashing the firmware. As a workaround, you can probably shift-select multiple contacts within the Contacts app, then choose Options -> Create Message.

The actual contacts file(s) are stored somewhere in C:\Private and not meant to be accessed. (Private is read-only and usually not viewable at all.) How are you doing the backup? There are several different ways. I typically just use Ovi Suite.

Problems with E71 and fearing firmware update

Hello, I currently have a Nokia E71 with phone software version 200.21.118 Installed and here are the following problems that i am facing
I cant install or run java apps anymore and whenever im trying to open a secure page on the internet my phoine locks up
also im having other problems with a few other apps locking up when they go online.
I thought that maybe updating the software will fix the problem
the fear that i have is i payed $700AU for this phone and im scared that updating it would make things worse or fatal

I fixed it! After calling Apple support, we tried every kind of reboot you can think of:
command-option-P-R
Command-option-R
Shift key down
unplug
unplug and hold in start button for 30 seconds
Nothing worked. So I was going to take it in to the "Genius" bar, but I tried one more thing. I unplugged everything from the Mac - monitors, USB, ethernet, everything. Rebooted and waited for a minute. I then plugged one of my monitors in and voilá! the progress bar was there. So there you go - good luck!

Problem with mail for exchange after update on E72...

Hi everyone,
I updated Nokia E-mail to ver 3.9 on E72. Now I am facing a problem with mail for exchange. I have configured gmail on mail for exchange. I recieve a warning that "unable to sync contact administrator if problem persist". It started to pop up just after the update was over and is very frustrating. Even previously i used to recieve mails instantly but now it generally takes half an hour for me to recieve them. I deleted and created mail for exchange several times but to no avail.
Also i am not able to automatically recieve mails other emails which i have configured. every time I have to manually download them everytime.
Can anybody suggest a way out.

It could be a problem if you're using your network's connections...
I was on a Pay & Go tariff with o2 some time ago, and needed secure connections for various things, o2 told me they didn't provide secure connections on Pay & Go tariffs...
Could be worth checking with them to make sure it's supported.

Reception / Battery problems with iPhone 3GS after upgrading to iOS 4.2.1

There are major reception and battery problems with iPhone 3GS after upgrading to iOS 4.2.1.
I can not believe that Apple did not test this for major bugs like this one is.
I am a business user and can not effort to have bad reception. Apple wants to gain in the business clients... I never had this with my former BlackBerrys!
I need a reliable phone not a play thing like this is right now, it just needs it to work propely. And if a major bug like this comes along, fix it immediately. After the iPhone4 story, now this...incredible! Going back to my reliable BlackBerry! It just ain't reliable and takes forever to fix a problem.

I have the same issue after iOS 4.2.1 update. I am using iPhone 3GS officially unlocked by Apple. I tried using different SIM cards and both carriers show same problem when using phone in 3G mode. Phone falls back to EDGE mode showing 'E' from '3G' at start. I have reset the phone and rebooted several times and moved to different cell areas in the city just to verify the problem.
I had no such issues earlier. I also have Nokia E71 which shows full signal and has no such issues.
I have posted the bug on apple iphone feedback page. I hope they Apple will fix the problem and test the release properly on all models before releasing to public.

N73 problem with the usb cable

so, i have a problem with the connectivity of my usb
when i plug the cable to my pc or any pc it said "USB device Not Recognize"
this happen since i use my headset often than before, is that take effect?
or when i use card reader to transfer all file from my phone to pc, the card reader can't read the memory card.
so is there anyone know how to solved it?
i dont want to take my phone to Nokia Care, i dont believe Nokia Care in my town.

It looks like your memory card is corrupted. Reformat the card. Did you try another USB port?

Problem with two of my business rule triggers

Good morning every one,
I have a small problem with two of my business rule triggers.
I have these tables:
pms_activity
csh_cash
csh_integrate_leh
csh_integrate_led
and my process goes like this:
upon approval of a row in my pms_activity table I have a trigger that insert a row in my csh_cash - and in the csh_cash table I have a trigger that will insert in the csh_ingerate_leh and csh_integrate_led.
my problem is pms_activity does generate a row in csh_cash but the trigger in the cash does not fire to generate a row in the csh_integrate_leh and led tables.
I have generated in the following order after I created my business rule:
I have generated the table from the designer (server module tab)
I have generated the CAPI from the head start utility
I have generated the API from the designer
I have generated the CAPI from the designer
I have run the recompil.sql
I have checked that my business rule trigger is enabled and should run on insert and no where restriction

Try resetting it again and restoring with the same backup file...
Does the phone work properly once you've reset it before you try restoring? A lot of people here have experienced problems restoring from backups... could be worth forgetting about it and starting from scratch.
You could try contacting your nearest Nokia Service Centre (www.nokia.com/repair) and see if they can do anything - it may need the firmware reinstalling or upgrading... possibly... give them a call though and see.

Having problem with adobe reader

I have a problem with adobe reader in my cell phone E71 model recently.I could open any pdf files till yesterday,but now without any reason the adobe reader icon in the office folder does not open.I wanna know what should I do.

Might be some problem with adobe reader. You may Google another pdf app called pdf plus. Install it and see if the problem is solved or not.

Does ur phone contain a large no of msg? If yes pls bring them down to 500 or less. Remove sim & memory card & connect ur phone to charger when u try this.

I have 2 Nokia E72 correctly configured with Lotus Traveler that don't send outgoing the email...
This is my test and configuration:
a) Scenario with emails/calendar without contacts to sync
The devices work perfectly without contacts... ( I receive the emails, and I can send the email, and I can manage the calendar)
b) After that I sync my 5700 contacts from my Notes Address Book ( are them too much for my device?)
- First Device - The device don't sync all contacts and I can't send out my email
- Second Device - The device sync all contacts and I can't send out y email
In both case the email go into local OutGoing folder...and don't send to the server...
There are some problem with 5k of contacts on Nokia E72?
In the Nokia E71 all work correctly ....

So why don't you try to sync less contacts, and to see then, whether the problem is solved ?
Then it already helps you to identify whether or not the issue is related to the number of contacts...

Having problem with my nokia 5230

Hi, i have purchased nokia 5230 one month before. After one week i have notied that my phone network has some trouble in automatically accessing the network. I am using airtel network and then i contacted the shop and they said it may be sim problem so they said to take duplicate of the sim. After taking the duplicate sim then also the problem existed. Again i contacted them. This they said to update the software, so i gone to nokia care and updated the software and they said the problem will be solved. Then after a day when ichecked again the problem exists. So again i contacted the nokia care this time they took the phone and said they send the phone to nokia for company service and said to come back after 15 days. Yesterday they called me the phone is ok and ready to collect. So got the phone and when i checked again this problem exists. This time i tried using another network Aircel and it shows no problem. Now it clear it has some problem with airtel network. Please can any one help me to sort this problem. I am using software v20.0.005.

Is your 5230 set to dual mode (GSM + UMTS) in the network settings? Switch to GSM only and observe the difference.
