E90 Communicator sold in APAC area support Arabic ...
I am at present the owner of E90 Communicator firmware Version 07.24.0.3 Product code 0544486, what made me don't understand why on the running of programme software of S60 3rd edition which do have a combination of English and Arabic characters ( fonts ) the entire English perfectly do the display, but none of the Arabic fonts are able to display (only display manies small boxes instead of the relevant Arabic characters). Is E90 communicator marketed in APAC site do NOT support Arabic Characters ( fonts ) ?? What I don't understand my former Nokia N series of N73 which was purchased thru the same Nokia Shop in APAC site was able perfectly do the entire display of the same software programme on both English and Arabic characters without problem at all ?? I am desperately looking forward to some advice how to solve this ?? Should I install a so called a "plug-in" to enable this ??
Is there someone who can explain me what is the solution to solve the incapablity to display / to perform such for example Arabic Characters / Fonts on the present E90 Communicator which have been just purchased in Nokia shop in APAC site. Is there missing of plug ins to support this ?? Thanks

E90 Communicator reading .msg files from memory ca...
I save emails on my PC from Outlook to a work file using "outlook Message Format". I have now transferred those files to a 4 gig card on the E90 communicator and those files are shown as .msg files which the communicator won't open. Is there download to the E90 that will allow me to open those files?
thank you.04-Dec-200709:58 PM

Since I'm not really sure what you're after... the following is based upon the assumption that you just want to be able to read these "offline" .msg files on your E90.
If what you're after is to be able to "import" them into the E90 so that the Messenger application can access them, I don't think there is a solution.
BUT if you don't mind using the Nokia Filemanager to view those messages, there is a potential solution:
http://pubs.logicalexpressions.com/pub0009/LPMArticle.asp?ID=81
Basically, the procedure is to (on your PC) rename all the .msg files into .txt files:
ren *.msg *.txt
Then to run a freeware script that strips out all the binary stuff.
Good luck.
I forgot to add: the resulting .txt files can be copied to your E90 and should be eminently readable by the Nokia Filemanager. -
Kindly let us know URGENTLY if RoboHelp 7.02.001 supports Arabic language to generate context sensitive help in Arabic. If RoboHelp does not support, let us know if there is any other workaround solution or third party integration tool that may help us to generate Arabic help files.
The supported languages are listed in the help file, they do not include right to left languages.
There are no tools that I know of but last week there was a post that might interest you.

I have MS Visual Studio Express 2013 It has worked fine for many months and then suddenly (I have made no configuration changes or added new programs) when I try to publish I am getting the message:
Unable to create the Web site 'ftp://ftp.xx.xx/xxx.org.uk/www/htdocs'. The components for communicating with FTP servers are not installed.
(I have replaced actual name with x's).
I had a similar problem some months ago and found that saving all files, closing VS 2013 and re-starting the program fixed the problem. This time it has not.
I am at a loss to know how to take this forwards. I do not use IIS.
Any help would be appreciated.
Michael.Hi Michael,
For web site development, so you use the VS2013 express for web, am I right? We have to make sure that it is not the VS version issue.
As you said that it worked well before, did you install other add-ins or tools in your VS IDE like
Xamarin or others?
Maybe you could disable or remove all add-ins in your VS IDE, test it again.
please also install the VS2013 update 4 in your side.

Jack

The ibook author doesn't support Arabic well
I tried ibook author to writer a littel book in my language (Arabic).
it doesn't support Arabic well, and some time it remove some letters from the pargraph !!
what's problome ? and how can I fix it ?I actually published an interactive Arabic textbook with iBooks Author - there were a lot of annoying formatting bugs, and more of it was in english than Arabic, as it was for beginners. I submitted it to see how much interest there was for doing more in Arabic, but I haven't had much demand so far.
check it out if you like:

Hi all,
I need to ask some Questions and I hope helping from you
The first One Does the Hyperion Planning 11.1.2 Support the Arabic Language or not? and if it yes, how can I do that?
and the Second one Does it support the Hijri calender for some country which using it like Saudi Arabia or not ?
Thanks in advanceHi,
Having implemented number of Arabic-English bilingual applications, I can safely assure that what's provided in Rahul's e-mail suggests the right answer (slightly except hijri calendar). However, I'll share my own experiences.
1. There is no problem in displaying Arabic text in Planning. You can create an Arabic alias table and load all Arabic aliases to this table. You can even load arabic text as member names or to default alias. But I would suggest loading Arabic text into a separate alias table. Make sure you create the application in unicode mode.
2. Customizations can be done in Arabic also. Make sure you save validatedata.js in Utf encoding. In order to customize system generated e-mail messages in Arabic, you should convert Arabic message to ASCII codes first before doing this:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/hp_admin/ch13s05s02.html
3. Menus, messages etc. have not been translated to Arabic yet. Therefore, they will remain in English.
4. Web form orientation or overall screen orientation is from left to right. None of the the user I've seen has complained about it so far but if they insist on seeing the forms from right to left, you can enable smartview and change the page orientation to right to left if it hasn't been already.
5. Financial Reporting supports Arabic provided that you use an Arabic compliant font in your reports. We've mostly used Arabic Transparent.
6. User names must be in English in Shared Services however, there is no problem to provide full name in Arabic.
7. And lastly, Hijri calendar is not supported. You can of course rename months as Hijri months as the number of months is the same as Gregorian, but date functions in Essbase are not Hijri compliant.
Cheers,

WE8MSWIN1252 Does it supports Arabic?
Hi All,
One of the strange facts which we saw recently was a 8i database running with WE8MSWIN1252 supporting Arabic characters successfully. Users were happy with the data representation in Forms 6i too. Though we have 100's of threads which says AR8ISO.. or AR8MSWIN... are the character sets which supports Arabic apart from UTF8. We were surprised to see how WE8MSWIN1252 was supporting Arabic characters. We came across a thread which said that it might be possible to have Arabic data stored with WE8MSWIN1252. Please refer to the following Link.
DB Migration from WE8MSWIN1252 TO AR8MSWIN1256 is it possible ???
Real Problem occured when we were asked to upgrade the DB to 10g. The problem started when we exported the dump from 8i and imported the same dump in a 10g i.e 10.2.0.1.0. database with same character set i.e WE8MSWIN1252. In 10g all arabic characters were showing as junk or inverted question mark when queried from db or while querying from forms application.
So we are planning to do the steps.
@ LIVE DB
1) Take a export of the existing dump from production 8i - 8.1.7.0
@ Test DB
1) Change the character set of DB to AR8MSWIN1256.
2) Import the Dump in Test DB
3) Check the data in back end and front end for its correctness.
4) If that works fine import that dump into 10g database with AR8MSWIN1256 character set
Will this work or if not please advice us for a right solution.
Thanks in advance. As suggested by S. Wolicki in the mentioned thread I think you should first fix data in your current database in the current Oracle version and work with Oracle Support if needed to solve this case before doing any upgrade or export/import:
>
Now, to the solution. First, the database must be verified to contain data only in one charater set. That is, either all applications understand all data as WE8MSWIN1252 or all applications understand all data as AR8MSWIN12526. If some columns (or rows) contain data visible in applications as one character set and some other columns (or rows) contain data visible as another character set, such database cannot be easily migrated. Data must first be spooled to text files, separated as required and loaded back to a new database, usually in AL32UTF8 to cover all required languages/scripts. Both the verification and such special migrations are manual tasks.
Assuming the data in the database is consistent in respect to how it is visible to applications, the solution is to update the database character set declaration to the real one corresponding to the data. This should happen without actually touching any character codes. You need to contact Oracle Support to provide you with the correct procedure that uses an undocumented statement. (I guess you will find this statement in Google, but then you use it at your own risk!) Oracle Support should verify that the procedure will not corrupt your data.

Does Photoshop Elements 11 Support Arabic text?
Hello,
I am planning to buy Photoshop Elements 11. I downloaded the trail version to test if it supports Arabic because I will be using it mainly for inserting Arabic text in pictures. Unfortunately, it does not support Arabic text properly. Direction is going left to right and it should be going right to left. Also, the letters are disconnected and they should be connected.
I have been told to try the middle eastern version, however, I am living in the UK and I cannot access the middle eastern website, the website takes me back to the UK one!
Another suggestion is to buy the full version of Photoshop which is very expensive and I am not going to use it. I am a beginner I only use it to add comments to pictures and to combine pictures etc. I am not an advanced user. So the full version is a waste for me.
Could you Please help me with this?
Best regards,

E90 Communicator and viewing movies - problem :(
Hello,
ive got a problem with my E90. When im using Video Manager to covert and send chosen movie to my cell phone it works very weard. Some movies working properly - others dont - other have only audio. no matter what quality i choose this situation is always the same.
I can convert and transfer one .avi and it will be ok - and next .avi will have only audio after RealPlayer shows me some that there are some errors with this file.
I try to use DIVXMOBILE VIDEO - and it plays my /avi ok - but no older mp4 (or if he play them the performance is very low). i also try to use SMARTVIDEO - and situation is similar - i can convert .avi to mobile - send like normal file - and watch - but i cannot see my older movies recorder by the phone.
Can you please help me how i can convert and watch movies with 1 tool (not 3 different programs) ?
thanks in advance
Mizgal
[email protected]Hi guys, I just discovered on my other Eseries mobile E71 installation disc there is video manager, I haven't install the Nokia PC suite for that particular phone yet because I already have PC suite for E90 on my PC & afraid it will replace or conflict with both existing suites at the sametime.
I am not sure if video manage will function with E90 communicator though they are both S60 3rd edition devices, they are of different firmware version & video codes all together. I only neede them to play the same format video files & I want to convert all my WMV , DSC , AVI, & mp4 formats to play on mainly my E90 & E71, not necessarily full length movies.:mantongue: -

Dreamweaver cs6 support arabic?
i try use dreamweaver cs6 but it can't support arabic
any way to make it support arabic
when i was installed it , i was chose english support arabic
but nothing happend
my system mac os x 10.7.3
thanksYour image doesn't mean very much to anyone who doesn't understand Arabic. However, it looks to me as though the Arabic is correctly displayed, except for the fact that it's on the left side of the page.
I don't understand Arabic, but I went to Google Translate to create a short sentence, which I then pasted into my English version of Dreamweaver. Here's what it looks like:
Like your example, the Arabic appears to be correct, but it's on the left of the page. However, notice the style rule that I have created in the head of the document. It sets the CSS direction property to rtl (right to left).
When I click the Live button, Dreamweaver then displays the Arabic correctly from the right of the page like this:
As far as I can tell, Design view is not capable of displaying Arabic (or other right-to-left languages) from the right side of the page. You need to turn on Live view to see the page displayed as intended.
Please understand that this is an English-language forum, and very few people are likely to have experience with Arabic. To get help, you need to speak to Adobe technical support.
