EA6900 - How many wireless users do you have?

Hey all,
I have another post researching why my EA6900 keeps shutting down my wifi users while the router itself otherwise seems healthy.  Currently, the support team is wondering if I'm maxing out my wifi connections.  Is there anyone out there who has more than me?  I would imagine that a corporate location should have a big number.
Currently, I have (at any one time) about ~11 wireless clients:
3 Kindles (andriod)
2 Windows Phones
2 DLink Wifi Cameras
1 Windows Laptop
1 Windows Tablet
1 Wireless Printer
1 Smart TV (sometimes used for streaming)
Physical Wired Connections:
1 PC
1 Storage Device (networked)
1 Xbox 360
1 Xbox One
No way 10 clients blow out the router, right?  How many do you have?
Cheers,
-joe

  • How many ADFS farms can you have in a single forest/single domain?

    Hi
I may have some terminology incorrect...please let me know if I do. :)
My question is, how many ADFS farms can you have in a single forest/single domain? If you want to know why I am asking...please read on.
We have 1 ADFS Farm and we are looking adding services to it. However not every cloud vendor provides a "Identity Broker" with there services.
We have a consultant that is advising that we need to enable a SAML-based IdP-initiated single sign-on (SSO) ie using "IdpInitiatedSignOnPage"
However to do this we need to modify the ADFS website to have "drop down" list so the user can select the "Relying Party" and then authentication with them.
This means we are exposing a list of every company/party we have federated with. The exposure of this information, is deemed a security concern by our company....which I agree with.
So the consultant advises that we need a separate ADFS farm. I have searched online, but haven't found any information that confirms multiple ADFS farms can be implemented in a single forest/single domain.
Thanks for reading and if you have any other suggestions...I'd appreciate it.

This is not exactly FIM related question - there is ADFS forum available on Technet. However - technically there is no limit of ADFS farms in a forest \ domain. It is just a service which uses AD and is not altering it in any way or storing some forest-wide
information like Exchange. So you can setup two ADFS services in single forest - no problem.
If it is a best solution to your problem? I can't say with that limited information but maybe just customization of pages on ADFS side would be enough?

  • How many motions tweens can you have on a timeline?

I'm a college student in Seattle.  We just had our mid-terms in Flash CS5.  One of the really simple questions was "How many motion tweens can you have on a timeline."  Yup.  The answer is one...... or is it?  I had a long discussion with my tutor (who is the greatest tutor in the world) and he wanted to think about it. I said to him that I thought that one motion tween was wrong because you can click on an object in the timeline, make it a motion tween, and double click it and make several motion tweens.  So, essentially, you can have more than one motion tween on a timeline.  Is anyone able to advise me because this is all about grades!

You can have quite a few motion tweens on a timeline.  You can even have them happening simultaneously (I don't know of a specific limit), as long as they are all on their own layers.  Though the more you add simultaneously the more they can weigh down the speed of things running.
If you need to prove this to someone, the easiest way is to create it and demonstrate it.  But you may want to check the exact wording of the question... it would not be beyond an examiner to throw a trick question in.

  • How many message filters do you have ?

I don't know if that question has been asked before?
How many message filters do you have set up on your Ironport?
    Thanks
    Arnaud

Hi "Community", (or are we still a "Nation"?) :-)
Since one of the "conflating responses" was mine, I like to complete my answer:
Besides the content filters mentioned in my first post, we have 3 message filters.
Two are quite simple X-header adding filters (to indicate a message is actually received from the internet and an other to give insight into the SRB scores), The last one is some more sophisticated, it detects messages that need to be forwarded to our internal policy systems, regardless of the used destination domain.

  • How many apple TVs can you have on one network 5, 10, 15, infinite?

I have an application where there are many rooms and I would like to be able to use Airplay in each room, can I buy 10 or more Apple TV units and put them all over my house on my wireless network and be able to airplay to any one of them? What is the limit of Apple TVs that I can have in one area. Has anyone tried this? How many have you maxed out at? What is the limitation?

There is no specified limitation but you will encounter a practical one. It will be a function of the numerous and generally unpredictable variables that affect any wireless network.
Ten Apple TVs is certainly within the realm of possibility though. This post reports success with fifteen of them.

  • How many Management agents can you have running simultaneously on a host?

    Hi all,
I've scoured the Oracle documentation and not been able to find a definitive answer to this question, how many Oracle management agents can you have on a single managed host target? Can you for example run an 11g agent and a 12c agent simultaneously (whilst migrating to 12c without upgrading the present OEM instance) If so can you run two 12c agents, each pointing to a different OMS? I’ve seen examples of an agent for each database instance on a host managed target, so a host with three Oracle database instances has three Oracle Management agents all pointing to the same OMS with each agent is monitoring just one of the database instances. There must be resource considerations here for memory, cpu and network traffic etc? I’ve always understood it to be one Oracle Management Agent per managed host
    Thanks

I don't think there's any data on impact or performance since it's not a recommended configuration. If you have host/configuration monitoring enabled on both agents, they will be running the same queries/scripts against the host/inventory, etc. so they will likely have contention at some point. If you monitor the same databases, you will definitely see contention and increased overhead as there will be multiple agents running the same queries. You might also see problems w/ any of the server generated alerts (tablespace, etc) if you change thresholds as the agents send that to the database, and then the database will be out of sync with the other agents.
What exactly is the goal for having multiple agents? Is it short term or long term?

  • Sir, Lady, Do you remember how many opened discussions do you have?

    Hi!
Probably this is part of the moderators life, but I would like to clarify this point, in order to avoid problems
We discussed some time ago about user blacklist and how to avoid answering to users who only open discussions and don't give any sort of feedback, so I was wondering,  if we can friendly remind this to those users when they open a new disucssion or is this against ROE?
    Cheers!
    Luis

    Hi Luis
sorry... a bit of war and peace but covers a heap of scenarios for how I try to keep the communities I'm part of professional.
I do that now. My approach (particularly in GRC community) is:
they say problem solved/solved myself - I ask them to share their solution with the rest of the community
when they say thanks and it's working now - I ask them to mark their question as complete (I don't tell them which comment to mark as correct as I'm not after points. Though, sometimes if suggest they mark a specific person if that person gave them the answer to ensure they are recognised)
when they say urgent, job to do, blah blah - My politeness becomes a bit more terse and I lecture them to an extent on community behaviour and that they people they are relying on are helping them
when they try to bump their thread up - reply to own post - I choose Alert Moderator and ignore them unless they do it a few times as well as opening secondary threads then I add a comment similar to their "urgent post"
when they leave heaps of posts open then I ignore them. If they then 'bump the thread up', I add a much for detailed comment that they would receive more by contributing
ask a basic question - if in forum a lot then I alert moderator; if a slight bit unusual I tell them what to google or where to search to go find the answer themselves and include a bit of context as to why I recommend they do that as well as finish of with 'perhaps you should book into training course xxx'.
when they enter private details I just hit alert moderator and I do not answer their question until information removed. Most of this one is sharing email address so others will send them files/documentation. When a few start with "me too" I will add a comment of perhaps write a blog/document for entire community to benefit. I also press alert moderator so that the noise in the community of "me too" is removed.
Most of the time I respond I don't mention RoE as much but more community spirit and behavioural. Most of those scenarios aren't explicitly listed in the RoE either.
At the same time, I try my best to also be positive and thank people for contribution or 'good luck' to fresher who managed to solve their first problem.
The hard thing with insults - due to cultural and language differences, some new members interpret words as insults when never intended to be. Accusation of arrogance, rudeness, etc are are written and my reaction is alert moderator.
    Regards
    Colleen

  • How many logic remotes can you have

I love the logic remote app and was wondering if it was possible to have it on multiple Ipads running at the same time with different views.
This would be awesome to build a console of IPADs.

Nope - only one LogicRemote connection to Logic.
I'm sure that will come in the next upgrade. THis LogicRemote is such an amazin app with so many features and functionalities, it screams to have multiple LogicRemote connected at once.
    Hope that helps

  • How many refurbished devices to you have to get before you stop getting broken ones and get a new one

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from Verizon.  It is a black, 32 GB phone.  I received my first one in February and around the first of June I started having issues that I could not answer the phone.  It would ring and then lock up.  I would have to shut off the phone and turn it back on to then call the number back.  I am a Deputy Sheriff, assigned as a school resource officer for an elementary of approximately 950 children and a high school of approximately 700.  I rely on the phone heavily for communications in this position.  Email and messaging are a must.  I received the refurbished phone on June 03 and I immediately had an issue with the naive email application.  When I took it back to Verizon, they informed me the only way to correct the issue was to use a 3rd party application.  The original phone worked fine with the native app.  The phone then continued to have other issues and I have been into Verizon on 3 occasions since the 3rd with issues.  In the past 24 hours, this refurbished phone has developed an issue with the soft keys on the bottom of the device.  The menu key and the back key have stopped working.  They light up, but do not function beyond that.  I spoke with Verizon and they are sending me another "broken" and refurbished phone.  I asked what I had to do to get a new phone and not a broken one and they told me to call Samsung, they could make that happen.  I contacted Samsung and they told me they could only have me send it in for repair, that Verizon is the only one that determines to replace with a new phone or a refurbished phone.  So I anticipate receiving my new, broken phone that has been refurbished on Monday or Tuesday of this coming week.  If this one fails as well, do I get a 4th broken phone, or what is my options.  Thank you

    Hi Joel,
Thanks for the answer.  I am aware of what the refurb is suppose to be, however, I find that more often than not, they crash pretty quickly.  I did the safe mode for 3 days, reloading apps one at a time and I did not find anything that was not compatible.  I am not sure why this device is locking up, but I know that in my job, I need to count on the phone way to much to have to keep sending it back.  I would buy out the early edge, but I read in one of the posts where a guy did that and Verizon would not accept it because it was a refurb and not the original.  Seems no matter what, the customer that pays on time, for many years always loses

  • How many virtual memory do you have on 10.6.1

    Hi everybody,
a few time ago, i was on 10.5.7 on a Macbook unibody 2Ghz 2Go RAM, so, there, my MV (virtual memory) Was about 7,45Go with lot of apps running in background...
now, on Snow Leopard my VM is about 130Go without anything running?
is it normal? my other Mac (last Macbook pro 13") has the same VM than my MacBook 2Ghz...
so what is your VM? is it normal??? link with the 64bit?
130 is also the same than my hardisk? 160Go
so many questions tha make me esitate to downgrade on 10.5.8...
    tks answering

My Mac Pro also reports about 130GB for VM size (in Activity Monitor).
In spite of, or perhaps more clearly than what the Activity Monitor helps says - that is - "Virtual memory, or VM, is hard disk space that can be used as memory".
It is the potential size that might be used on disk.
I look at my actual swap file (located in /private/var/vm) and it is only 64 MB.
Further in my case according to Activity Monitor none of that space is being used as reported in "Swap Used"
I believe the big increase you see is due the move of most system components to 64 bit and their potential to use more virtual memory.
I suspect you will find similar figures for the swap file and a modest usage of it.
    I wouldn't worry.

  • How many sky accounts can you have per house

I am currently living in a shared house and am the only account holder, could one of my housemates open up their own sky account

It would be one account per household unless you are prepared to pay to get an additional phone line put in and/or satellite dish.
