Each specific day in every week shall be marked as an attence in IT2002

Hi friends,
I have an issue as follows:
While creating an IT2002 record for an employee, I want to specify the beginning & ending days as well as the weekday (e.g. Monday). Then the system will evaluate the situation as each week Monday is recorded as an attendance for that specific employee.
Do you know whether there is a standard system solution for that?

Let's say I am creating a 2002 record for employee X.
For my IT record, I will specify beginning date as 01.01.2009 and ending date as 31.12.2009.
Then my clients wants to pick up a weekday , e.g. Monday.
This shall mean that employee X will have attendance records for each Monday during that time interval.
In other words, my clients wants to create only one record instead of creating a separate record for each of the weeks in the interval.

In SQL server, I want to be able to have a function to return the date of any specific day of the week by passing two parameters. E.g.:
parameter 1: a selected date (e.g. 8/3/2013)
parameter 2: any specific day of the week (e.g. Wednesday)
result: should be 7/31/2013 (8/3/2013 is a Sunday in the week 7/28 - 8/3, so the Wednesday should be 7/31/2013)
then if I want to get Saturday of that week, I can simply change the second parameter to 'Saturday'

Ho do I repeat an event monthly but on a specific day of the week?

I need to repeat an event every month on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. The only monthly repeating option that I see will put it on that same day every month, by the date and not by the day of the week. Anybody know how I do this?

Make your event on eg 20th Feb. Edit it, select Repeat/Custom , select Monthly, and 3rd Wednesday will be a selectable option.

Here is an alternative:
I'm assuming you run this campaign for a given target group (which I call Input TG) in a periodic fashion.
1/ Create a job to refresh your input TG as required (for exmaple every Tuesday and Friday). Rick click on your target group in Segment Builder to set up this job as periodic.
2/ Create another job (small ABAP code) to empty your input TG every time you have run the campaign (like on Wednesday and Sat)
3/ Set your recurring job in Campaign Automation to run every day
That could work for you.

I have start and end dates, along with specific days of the week that I'm outputting.
However, I need to display them every "X" week but I'm not sure how to do that.
For example: show Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for every 2 weeks (or every 3, 4,5 weeks).

Another option, depending on what you are really trying to do.
Loop from day A to day B.
If current itteration of the day is a designated day of the week [dayOfWeek(currentDay)] do one thing, else do another.
If current itteration of the day is the end of the week [I.E. dayOfWeek(currentDay) is 7] then break the display to a new week.
There are probably other ways to do this as well. The date time functions could probably give you some ideas.

Can I set a recurring event which falls on a specific day

I would like to set events in my Calendar which fall on specific days of the Week or Month e.g. 2nd Monday of each month; or the last Friday on the month. I would be obliged if anyone can advise on how this can be done.

That feature does not exist in the built in calendar app. What you see in the settings for recurring events is what you get. There are other calendar apps available in the App Store. Check some of them out and you might find one that suits your needs better.

Script to launch app after power up on specific days

I've been using scripts more and more each day, and I've learned a lot just by trial an error, and of course, great help from the community. But now I have this one script that I just can't figure out how it would work, or even if it's possible.
So the idea is to launch a specific app, after power up, on a specific day of the week. For example, say I want to have the app Mail to launch automatically after power up on sundays. How would I do that?

I've never used launch daemons, but you could search for that. You could probably do it with that. I know how to use launch agents where you can run programs on user login. These two are similar, but there might be complications on running things on power up as compared to launch agents. Search for daemons. There is a lot of stuff like that on the internet.

ICal - alarms for specific days (not dates)

I am very forgetful, and I often use iCal to make reminders for myself (using the alarm w/ sound). However, I often have weekly reminders at work. For example, I would back up our files at work on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I was wondering if there is a feature in iCal that can set reminders for specific days of the week. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Create an event on tuesday, go to the repeat menu,
select custom, mark the days you want the event to be
(tuesday and thursday). Then go to the alarm menu ans
set the sound you want.
Note: if you plan to sync to a palm device, the palm
doesn't accept events that repeat on specific
(multiple) days of the week, so create two events,
one that repeats every Tuesday and another for
Thursday.

Can we restrict shipping to a specific customer on specific days?

We have a scenario where we want to resrict shipping to a specific customer on specific days in a week only. i have defined a calander and assigned it to customer site. Afterwards, I tried shipping on a different day. But the system did not stop me from doing so. I was able to ship without any problems.
Any idea how to stop that? Or at least give a warning.
Profile "MSC: Use Shipping/Receiving Calendars" is set to Yes at Site level.

The arrival day also is an Off day. Actually my calander is "ON" only on Thursdays. I entered / booked / scheduled / shipped order on 3rd March, which is Wednesday. The Customer on my order was an internal customer ( It was internal sales order with shipping network defined). The transit time is 5 days, hence Arrival Date on my order line was 8th March, which is again Monday, an "OFF" day as per my shipping calander.

I have several recuring alarms set up on my calendar for each day of the week. In the past few weeks, an alarm will occasionaly notify me roughly 15 minutes to an hour and a half late. These daily alarms are identical and repeat every day.

I assume you meant iCal rather than iTunes? Yes, iCal the time zone is correct. The delayed alarms only happen sporadically. Since I posted this message, the problem stopped happening every day at the same time, but it still happens occasionally with no rhyme or reason as to when. It's gotten so that I can't depend on my iCal alarms anymore.

TS4118 When I print out my ical calendars, there are three duplicate events happening every day of the week and I never entered this event?

When I print out my calendars from ical, there is one event that is reoccurring 3x/day/every day of week! It is not showing on the actual calendar and I cannot figure out how or where it's coming from? It's in the calendar marked Jimmys action which just shows my sons activities and for this activitiy, I put one day with a recurring weekly on just two days of the week at a specific time and this is showing up as well and correctly? What should I do to remedy this?

UPDATE: I think I found the answer to my problem. I travel between two time zones and recently started listing event times as "floating" so they don't get messed up when I travel between west and east coasts. It seems that when I want to print out a calendar sheet, the time of the event doesn't show up if it's a "floating" event. So, I need to go back to putting a time zone in and turning off "time support" in Preferences for iCal. BTW this (in reverse) is a solution for those who don't want to see appointment times printed out – make it a "floating" event.

time range displayed will start with 9:00 a.m.

Additionally, view times will expand past the configured settings if events
span past the time range. That is, if you have an event that spans from
5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the event will be reflected in the view, even though
your time range may be set to go only to 6:00 p.m.

The settings are stored in ''prefs.js'', so you could swap various copies of this file in and out.
However, the system will load ''prefs.js'', then, if present, ''user.js'' , so you can set up just your changes in ''user.js'' .
The sort of line you need to look for is like this:
