Each time I open a new tab - pop up ad's comes on screen auto(3/4 for them)I do not want to see the adds/pop up or want it to open in new tab how to I stop this
I have tick the options - do not allow pop up ads. But is still appears allot. It makes working on web imposssible. I do not want to see the ads or want it to open in new windows. I do not want then at all!!!!

This happens when someone drags the HD or a system folder icon to the iPhoto Window by accident. Solution: restore from back up created before this occurred.

whenever I open the mail application a flurry of past emails appears from nowhere. How do I stop this happening ?
1. If by flurry of emails you mean they all appear opened as if clicked on.
2. Or do you mean your inbox fills up with a whole lot of 'new' unread emails downloaded from the server, so that if you delete them they return next time you open Mail.
If it is 1. Press (three keys) Option + Command + W
This will close all mail windows including the inbox.
Then press (two keys) Command + 1
to return the inbox.
That should stop any flurry next time you open Mail
If 2., Open Mail Preferences > Accounts (select the account in question if there is more than one), click on Advanced, and where it says remove copy from server after retrieving message, select that choice and click Remove now. -

Just so you don't miss important information about Adblock Plus, be aware that it does nothing by itself -- it needs filters. Be sure to install the "EasyList (US)" filter subscription.
In your google search settings (preferences), you can filter adult content, but that is not phishing

Work around until fixed. Tap Settings App > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch > turn it ON > Tap new white button at bottom of screen. Tap Home.

Private browsing history is not saved on the PC. That's the whole point.
Your company firewall (or proxy server, if you use one) may generate and store logs of all employees' browsing sessions. In some cases, the firewall stores only general information and you need to set up a log capturing server to store the detail. You may need log analysis software extract the one employee's requests (e.g., using the employee's PC's IP address) from the detailed data.
Before viewing the data, I suggest you check with your HR or legal department to avoid violating any privacy terms in your employment agreements and/or employee handbook. -

Delete the account, then re install it on the device. You will need to get the passwords exactly right., and there are some other settings that matter, such as send and receive server names, and sometimes a specific port. If you are not sure, check on the web for ' email settings' for your particular provider. What probably happened is that when you changed your password, some other setting got tweaked.

After Downloading v8 I keep getting checking compatibilty dialogue box popping up when I launch Firefox. Then Firfox opens two tabs, Meet Mozilla welcome page and my home page. How can I stop this?

You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

You may have an unwanted extension that is modifying sites (or the toolbar area). Try this:
Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that flush the tab?

Browser keeps opening with previous tabs from day before. How do I stop this?
Under Tools>Options>General I have the browser set when I open the browser to "open up a blank page" but it keeps opening up previous tabs from the day before. How can I stop this? I read the forum boards but either did not find it or overlooked the answer. I checked all my other settings and cannot find anything that would be causing this. Please advise?
You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that sets the browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once pref to true.

When trying to open an .xps file, I told Firefox to AUTOMATICALLY open all .xps files in the future using xpsviewer.exe & now it opens MANY, MANY tabs FAST and continually once I double click on .xps file! Mnemonics on JTabbedPane only work if IN one of the panes?
I've run into an interesting behaivor on JTabbedPane. You can SEE the mnemonic for a tab pane, but unless your focus is on a control that's a child of one of the tabs in the JTabbedPane, you will will NOT be able to get a non-visible tab to display.
