EAS doesnt work when LDAP server is changed

hi all,
My Ldap server didn't work and so we had to replace it with another server.Then we placed the new ip address in the css.xml file for planning and essbase and then they started wroking fine.But when i am tring to login into EAS using an externally authenticated id, i am not able to log in, which throws me an error saying some problem with Administration Server.
Please let me know, what has to be done to make the EAS work fine.

And I have tested with this path "//article/item-info/jid/text()", but it doesnt give me anything. But I noticed that when I remove line 1, it does extract the content "YANBE"...
why the path doesnt work when there is that DOCYTYPE element? How should I get around with this please?

The extract of XML you gave is not valid (Line 1: <hr/>) but besides that ... I think your problem is in the DTD.
Somewhere in the DTD it probably 'sneakily' defines a default attribute which in reality is a default-namespace for one of the elements. This means that in your XPath handling, you will have to map a prefix to a namespace-uri (NamespaceContext [1]) and use this newly defined prefix in your XPath expression.

My time capsule doesnt work when its conneted direct cable modem, and it start working from netgear router

I just bought a Airport Time Capsule, time capsule is connected direct from wan to cable modem (it doesnt work). when i connect it to lan port 1, it start working. normal process i know is from cable modem to wan port. 2nd i notice, network is on bridge mode. so my question is how do i make it to work from modem to wan port.

What model is the modem? Is it a pure cable modem or a combined modem router?
This maybe important as the current model TC does have issues with some of the popular cable modems.. SB6121 or 6141 being often the ones complained about here.
If it is a pure cable modem (most will have just one ethernet port). Then power down the modem for 20min. This allows enough time for the MAC address of the first device connected to be lost at the ISP end so it is ready for a new router.
The TC must be in dhcp and nat mode.
Please factory reset the TC and start over.
The Factory Reset universal
Unplug your TC/AE. Hold in reset. and power the TC/AE back on.. all without releasing reset and keep holding in for about 10sec. The time is not important.. it is the front LED rapid flashing that indicates you are in factory mode.
Release reset.
If it doesn’t flash rapidly you have released reset at some point and try again.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC/AE will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
By default the TC is in router mode after a reset.
Restart the modem.
The power up the TC and run through the setup utility.
The TC should then be accepted as the main router in the network.
If this fails check the WAN ip address. If it is 10.x.x.x or some other private IP you did not turn off the cable modem for long enough.. Try again only this time leave it off longer. (Some ISP it is just 5min.. some 15.. some will require 60min or overnight).

If you are absolutely sure that neither the sound output of the Macbook nor the sound output of VoiceOver are muted then try to reset VoiceOver.
1. Open VoiceOver Preferences.
2. From the File menu choose "Reset All VoiceOver Preferences …".
3. Click "Reset.
4. Turn VoiceOver Off and On again. (hold command and press F5 twice).
If you still don't hear anything then it could be that the main sound output of the Macbook got muted somehow. I find that I often hit the mute button on my Apple wireless keyboard without noticing. So just make sure that its not muted and also hit the "Volume Up" a few times. Its so terribly obvious I know but its also very easy to miss. Lots of people do that.

LoadVariables, works in DE, doesnt work when published

Hi guys,
I need some help with a Flash App I've made, it uses
loadVariables to load in values from an ASP.net page, it works fine
in the development environment, but when I publish the App as a swf
file it doesnt work.
My code is this

the processQuestions function then assigns the returned
fields into flash variables.
I know that the link stored in loadString is correct as I can
go to the webpage and see the variables on there. And I know my
code is right as it works every times when I test the movie in the
development environment.
Does anyone know if there could be anything that changes
between developing and publishing that I am not considering? Or
anything else which might help?

Lennovo G580 touchpad doesnt work when plugged in !!

its touch pad work very well when im using battery but when i plugged in my laptop(connect it to ac power),the touch pad dont work anymore untill i plugged it out again.
i think that it maybe because of its driver and i reinstalled touch pad driver but it didn't fixed.
so what i must to do??

We are really sorry to hear about the issue you are facing,
Please check if you uninstall the drivers for touchpad and then restart the system to check if it works when AC adaptor is connected
Also try the drivers from the below link after uninstallation of current drivers

JSP db connect doesnt work when deployed

I have a VERY simple JSP selects from a table, displays the rows. Works fine when running in the local OC4J, but when i deploy it to the application server get the following. Any ideas?? I can post the JSP and web.xml and data-sources.xml if it would help..

I changed my web.xml file in jDeveloper to look like what you suggested, and removed the following
<resource-env-ref>

</resource-env-ref>
I redeployed the application, and it still does not work.
on another note, I did a search on the application server for datasources.xml and found 8 occurances of it. Is this normal, and which one is it looking at? is there a search order? I looked at them, and some had my jacksonrsDS defined in them, and others had my datasources from jDeveloper in the format of "jdev-connection-datasourcename"

When I publish my project, (still using the same storage, azure website free/shared), I cant extract the file icon, 500 internal server error.

It looks like you want to retrieve the OS's standard file icon for certain file extension. Could you please make sure on the cloud server (not your local machine) those file extensions have registered the correct icons? Also, may I know
why you did not simply upload those icons to blob before you deploy the application, then you can skip anything related to SHGetFileInfo? If you want to dynamically upload new icons, I don't think it is a good idea
to call SHGetFileInfo, either (unless you also dynamically register the new file extension's icon on the cloud server). A better solution in my mind is to allow the user (or an administrator if you are not working with a user facing app) to
upload their own icons.

Passwd command not working on LDAP server

hello all,
At this time I am having a problem with the LDAP we are in the process of setting up for our Data Center servers.
Users cannot change their LDAP password using the command line passwd command. Other than this the LDAP services seem to be running well for both Sun OS 10 and Sun OS 9 clients
If a user attempts using the passwd command, they get the following response
/home/jdoe$ passwd -r ldap
passwd: Changing password for jdoe
Enter existing login password:
New Password:
Re-enter new Password:
Permission denied
Also, from the root user you get the same response when attempting to change a users password from command line. At this time the only way to change passwords is from the GUI.
We are currently using Sun Java (tm) System Directory Server 5.2.4 running in a zone on a SunOS 5.10 Generic_118833-33 Sparc server

From what you describe, I suspect there might be firewall
getting in the way. Did you open port 1935 on your server firewall?
By default, the flashplayer will connecting to FMS on port
1935. If 1935 fails, the flashplayer will attempt to connect on
port 80. It takes a while for the second attempt to happen, so that
would explain the lag in the connecting being accepted.
I'm not sure why firefox is crashing, but that wouldn't be
caused by a server issue. Is there something in your actionscript
that might cause the flashplayer to crash if the netconnection
isn't accepted? Perhaps a conditional that results in an infinite
loop?
About the admin service... are you sure it's running and
there's no firewall blocking port 1111? Try entering this into your
browser:
http://[server ip or hostname]:1111
If the service responds with an XML file, it's running.

Fujitsu fi-6130z scanner doesnt work on Windows server 2012 using Remote Fx USB Redirection

I'm using Wyse WES7 SP1 client and using RDP, i'm connecting to RD Host Server 2012 standard edition with Remote FX enabled. scanner is able to redirect using Remote Fx and i've installed appropriate scanner driver on server. the scanner is listed in Device
and Printer option of Control Panel.
I'm using MSPaint application to scan my document, but when i click on From Scanner or camera, it dispalys
"Unable to Retrieve picture from device.Verify the device is properly connected and try again" warning message. i couldnt able to scan the document.
But with Wyse TCX USB redirection it works fine.
Is there any server side configuration for the scanner to redirect and work properly ? am i missing something ?
Kindly helpp me to troubleshoot this problem

Rollback is not working when "The server threw an exception" error

These are my transaction steps
1) Call the StartTransaction method of the company object (Function AA)
2) Add Goods Issue (Rollback if error occurs) (Function BB)
3) Create record with oRecordSet object (Rollback if error occurs) (Function BB)
4) Add Journal Entry (Rollback if error occurs) (Function CC)
5) Add Goods Receipt (Rollback if error occurs) (Function DD)
6) Create record with oRecordSet object (Rollback if error occurs) (Function DD)
7) Call EndTransaction (with commit) to complete the whole process (Function AA)
These are working fine usually.
But problem is when user has "The server threw exception" error message.
Whole transaction must be rollback but still step 2 and 3 records are exist on DB.
Rollback is working fine with another error messages.
I programmed call Rollback transaction if calling function has any error.
Function BB, CC and DD are calling from Function AA.
I never have "The server threw an exception" error on my development machine with B1 2005 PL 51.
This is happened only LIVE server with B1 2005 PL 51.
B1 was upgraded from PL29 to PL51 recently becaseu of Locking issue.
Then Locking issue was solved but have "The server threw an exception" error and rollback is not working properly.
I hope someone can help me!!!!.

There are 2 things to check here.
1. is the Transaction
2. is the RPC_E_SERVERFAULT.
for the first one,
in step 2, just before you add the Good Issue, can you try to check first if you are still in a transaction ?
Just to make sure.
If it is, maybe you should open a ticket to SAP support.
BTW, Which version is your Live environment ?
for the second one,
try to search the error in this forum. there is a lot of posting about this.
The problem might also go away if you upgraded your SBO.
Please search and see if there is anything the same with your problem.
