Easy question: iview update after upload par?

Hi community,
I have an easy question but i could not test it atm.
Does an iview that is based on a par file gets updatet automatically after you reüpload the par file?
And does the pages where the iview is in gets auto-updated aswell?

Runtime error after uploading .par file

Hello experts,
I have a new problem with uploading the new .par file.
I have done following:
1. Download the .par file.
2. Import the par file to the NWDS
3. Import the private/lib folder structure manualy
3. Export the par file
4. Upload the par file(Systemadministration->Support->Portal Runtime->Administration Console
I haven`t modified anything at the par file. (Just for testing). I haven´t generate or build anything in the NWDS.
But after the sucessfull Upload I get a Portal Runtime Error in the Header Area with following ID:
Exception id: 10:04_10/09/08_5794550

With regard to your problem:
First of all the PAR might be uploaded properly.
Next you can look into the default trace log with the ID mentioned by you such that we can exactly figure out the problem.
try uploading your PAR files by using the following URL
http://<hostname>:<port number>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/PortalAnywhere

SSRS 2008 - report layout not updating after uploading new version

So I changed the layout from portrait to landscape on a report, uploaded it again (marking it to be overwritten), but when doing a print preview or actually printing the report to the printer or pdf, the layout has not changed. Is something being cached?
I even deleted the report and uploaded again, still the same thing.

I looked oln the 'Execution' tab of the report in ReportManager, and the radio button for "always run this report with the most recent data" was selected.

Disregard... duh, I was loading them from a previous folder that had older reports in it. Nothing like stupid user error to waste an hour.

Make sure you know where your loading your RDL files from

Easy question on updating software

i have an iphone 4. it has iOS 4.1 on it now, do i need to download iOS 4.2 or can i just download iOS 4.3 and i will get all the features of 4.2 and 4.3 with 1 download of 4.3???

You can go straight to 4.3, so you don't need to install 4.2 first.

Blue question mark after uploading image

After uploading an image to a collection page I only get a blue question mark on live site...no pics. Any idea why ?
Also, can add descriptions to video titles so they show up on content list without having to reupload entire video ?

I'm having this same problem with thumbnails. I just tried to update all my graphics yesterday...
The images I uploaded are showing up no problem in the back end, and if I click through to the collection page, the 300x300 version is there, but the front page of my site is a mess of blue question marks, and it's public-facing.

I really liked this phone and can not believe that you are now going to charge us $79 a battery to fix what is most definately a problem with your latest update. I know other people outside of our company that are having the same problem. Not to mention when I called AT&T it was confirmed to me that they are hearing the same issue and then some from other customers as well. Your own people, once I talked to them earlier today, told me they are showing a history of issues that are showing up after the update was put in place. Of course she tried to say, "Maybe the age of the battery and the update both contributed". Whatever.
I want you all to know how disappointed I am in your company for the handling of this issue. I always thought "Apple" was the line I didn't have to worry about having any types of issue. And that you all would stand behined your product 100%. Now I am not so sure.
I would love to hear back from your company on how you perceive the issue with all of these phones that prior to the update didn't have any issues and how after the update THEY ARE NOW having issues. I do not believe this was an issue due to the age of a battery and that was pretty lame to say so. It was fine and now its not.
Please feel free to contact me and help me figure out a way to pay for all of the batteries that will be needed for our company to contiue doing business as needed.

I see what you mean. I've not been able to discpher that either. I use a Free Memory app that I can use to free up memory from time to time and when Free Memeory gives me 3.42 free Activity Monitor gives me this:
However, since Mavericks dymanically handles the memory the only thing I watch are page outs. If I begin getting page outs then I'm pushing my memory limits and using virtual memory.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
    1.    Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
    2.    Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
    3.    Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
    4.    Open iTunes.
    5.    Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

Swf files appearing in preview (D8) but not n browser after uploading - frustrated!

I have worked with Flash and Dreamweaver on the side for a
number of years. We all know that after the recent changes, the way
it handles object and embed tags has changed to favor Java
actionscripts instead.
This code I am about to paste was created using Dreamweaver
8.02, with transitional (x) html. Now mind you, this is not the
prettiest piece of code you've ever seen. I now am learning to use
CSS layouts instead of layers/tables, with php and flash
integrated. This one example is not the only time I have had this
problem however.
I made a silly flash banner (its actually a placeholder for a
better one I have to develop) for testing purposes and sizing. It
appears fine in Firefox, and IE6 in the preview mode via
Dreamweaver. When I upload it all to the site, the flash banner
does not appear.
I have tried copying the FLA and SWF files to the root folder
(the fla, swf, and html files generated are all present), and tried
a number of variations in the code and parameters to no avail. The
darn thing just won't appear now. Similarly older pages I have
created that Dreamweaver now prompts you to "fix the object tag
that may not work in IE7...etc" have the same issue. If I select
"go ahead and fix them for me", they are visible in production, but
gone after uploading.
Now to remove the possibility that this was a layering or
parent tag issue of visibility, I created a blank HTML page and
"insert/media/flash" and stuck the banner in there, then uploaded
it to my server. It doesn't appear.
I need help. I have been scouring the web for a few days now
to no avail and have become quite frustrated with what used to be a
really easy integration of Flash and html.

Easy Question: Illegal Start of Expression

This is a ridiculously easy question... but I am having trouble with it...
Anyway, here is the line of code that is giving me trouble:

{jButton3, jButton7, jButton11, jButton15},
{jButton4, jButton8, jButton12, jButton16}};
        That's it. jButton1 through jButton16 are all jButton objects (for a GUI). jButtons is an array (4 by 4) of jButton. All are global variables, the buttons are all initilized (in fact, that was the problem I had before, and why I need to put this here: otherwise I get a null pointer exception).
Surprisingly, such a simple line of code causes TONS of errors to occur. To save space, {...} * 2 means that the exception occurs twice in a row, errors are separated by comma's.
{ Illegal Start of Expression, {Not a statement, ; required} * 2} * 4, Empty statement
A similar statement (int[] test = {{1,2,3},{4,5,6}};) works perfectly fine.
Please help, doing this will reduce the size of my code to about a third of the size of the code. And then I can laugh in the faces of those people who say that I write long, and in-efficient code! MWHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
However, I will keep at it, and Murphy's Law states I will find a solution 10 seconds after posting. If I do, I will edit this post, and tell you guys the answer ;)

You can only initialise an array like that when you declare it at the same time. Otherwise you have to do as suggested above.
int[] numbers = {1,2,3,4}; //ok
int[] numbers;
numbers = {1,2,3,4}; // not ok

Easy question - how to increase number of recent files in menu?

This is for CS5 if it matters.
I'm an infrequent Illustrator user (at best) but I have what I hope is an easy question: I want to increase number of recent files showing in the menu.
I can't find a preferece to set such as in PS and almost every other application on the face of the earth. I've tried to reset the preferences file (start Illustrator with ctrl-alt-shift held down) but I'm stuck at 4 files, which I assume is the anemic default option.
Is there an easy way to do this that Adobe has hidded somewhere? As expected, it can't be found in the help, I can't find it on the forums, or even on the net, but I do know it can be done because I can see other installs showing lots of files in the list.

This might be because of a new feature that you can turn off for each object, and alltogether. When you create a new document at the bottom, make sure 'Align New Objects to Pixel Grid' is unchecked. After you have created a new file, you can still go into the 'TRANSFORM' palette (SHIFT+8), use the little right top menu, and make sure 'Align New Objects to Pixel Grid' is unchecked. And if you want to get fancy with each object; you can select an object, and look at the 'TRANSFORM' palette at the bottom is a place to uncheck the 'Align to Pixel Grid' at your disposall.

APple MBP v1.3 Update after a Snow Leopard 10.6.4 reinstall

Is the Apple MBP v1.3 update part of SNow Leopard 10.6.4 Combo Update and if not how do I go about installing Apple MBP v1.3 update after I have already installed snow leopard Combo Update from 10.6.3?
From the APple Website the v1.3 update will only install if you have 10.6.3 Snow Leopard and might become an issue if trying to install it after 10.6.4 Combo Update has been installed.
So my question is:
Is the Apple MBP v1.3 Update part of the 10.6.4 Snow Leopard Combo update?

Run Software Update. If it doesn't list Apple MBP v1.3 Update as an available update then you don't need it.

On 10.6.8 you can update to 9.2.3.
You really need to rethink you're computing habits. Using a computer without a back up is like driving without a safety belt. Updating the OS and applications without one is like driving blindfolded and drunk without a safety belt...
Most Simple Back Up:
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex: Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store

Horizontal menu bar appears vertical after upload

Hi,
I am new using Dreamweaver CS4 and have encontered a problem. I have made a nice looking (I think so) horizontal menu bar on my web project and it works/looks fine in the "LIve View" of DW. However on the web page after upload it looks like this:

The Spry stylesheet cannot be found.
The Spry CSS should be:

In your local working folder on your computer, is the Spry folder inside the working folder, or is it outside of that folder. The Spry Assets folder should be inside the folder where all your other html/image files are. The link in your html pages, shows that the Spry folder goes one level deeper than that.
The paths to both the spry css and the spry js file are wrong, you need to fix that and then upload the files again.
Hopefully you are working within a Defined Dreamweaver site - this is a very important first step before working on your site.

Via the File Panels window, move the spry folder into your working folder *do not do it via windows explorer* it has to be done through Dreamweaver so that DW can correctly the file links. If everything goes correctly, you should be asked whether you want to update any links, so yes.. and hopefully the links will be corrected.
Usually the link should look like this if the Spry folder is inside your working folder structure:

Your link however shows as:
<link href="../../SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
This means that the browser is trying to find the files one level down from where you website files are stored on the server.. and it's not there.

I want to add image name with the extension to db after upload, Can any body help?

Earlier in the week I created PHP photo/image upload form so clients will be able to upload to my site, it worked very well uploading image to designated directory to the C:/path/ but there is more that I would like to do with the form, and that is to write the image name with the extension, “Joplateau.jpg” for example in the database after upload. I wanted to use hiddenField but it's not working for me, may be i am not doing it right. If any one has an idea how to do this please let me know, and thanks in advance.
