EBP without XI

Hi all,
Is it necessary to implement an SAP XI to send/receive XML Invoice or Purchase Order in EBP 4.0?
Is it necessary to configure the Integration Engine in EBP with the role of Business System as Application System.
Thank you

Hello Matt,
I heard the Business Connector is not out of support by SAP due to many many customer request, but I didn't find a link on SAP Net.
You can program a method to create IDocs, define an action that uses this method for POs in the output management of SRM and route the IDocs to the Business connector.
Hope that helps,
Karsten

  • Output Purchase Order from SRM / EBP as File (without XI)

    HI there,
I would like to be able to output the EBP Purchase Order in a file (preferably XML format, but main requirement is for no / little bespoke work to create the file format) to the vendor.
Without middleware, we are envisaging having to create an ABAP program to do the routing of the file (probably FTP), but ideally do not want to have to do loads of work to create a bespoke file format. Unfortunately it seems that BC and XI do the translation into SAP XML otherwise we could have intercepted the process after the file was created and sent it using our bespoke program.
We are on SRM 3.0, EBP 4.5 (extended classic scenario) and do not have XI. I have done quite a lot of research on this, but the standard scenario for outputting XML file assumes at least Business Connector (seen lots of information on how to set this up for BC or XI). I think we can download BC for free (or might have it from the original install discs), but am concerned that it is no longer supported.
    My questions are really -
    1) Is it advisable to use the Business Connector even though it is out of support?
    2) If so, are there any licensing implications to use it?
    3) Is there any other way of outputting the PO as a file from EBP without middleware (can't see the option to output iDoc as with R/3) and without having to do and maintain lots of bespoke mappings?
Your help on this would be much appreciated.....
    Thanks
    Matt

  • SRM MDM catalog items not checking back to EBP ("500 Internal Server Error")

    Hi All,
We are having an issue, ONLY with our PRODUCTION environment.
When we create a Shopping Cart and select items from an Internal catalogue, we cannot check the items back into SRM without the system throwing the "500 Internal Server Error" message. As the items never even reach SRM, there is nothing to check or display in the queues for anything even remotely helpful.
As mentioned above, the issue is only happening in our Production environment. We have tested using the production MDM webservice details in our PreProd environment and everything works flawlessly, so the issue very likely arises from our Production portal.
    System info:
We have SRM 7.2; SRM MDM 3.0 and SAP Netweaver portal 7.1.
The users are using IE9 but the same happens on IE8 as well.
We have checked and all MDM applications are running.
We have done all the compatibility checks too given in https://scn.sap.com/thread/1075870  and https://scn.sap.com/thread/1836750 .
    I have attached the logs.
Nothing helped so far, so we are hoping maybe either of you can.
    Thanks in advance,
    Niki

    Hi Jason,
So in the end SAP gave a response that worked.
We actually had to delete the BYPASS_INB_HANDLER parameter and change our URL slightly. That helped and now the items check back in to EBP without issues.
The strange thing is that we still have that parameter in every other environment and yet it still works flawlessly, only causing issues in PROD. We are waiting on a response from them to ellaborate why... I am going to share when they respond.
Thank you for all the help!
    Bests,

  • Unable to replicate one vendor from ECC to SRM

    Hi Gurus,
We are using SRM 5.0 Classic scenario.
We have scheduled the job to replicate the vendor masters from R/3 to EBP on daily basis and it is working fine and replicating the vendor master from R/3 to EBP without any issues for past two years. But one vendor created on few days back for the Co.Code 1089, 1089 and purchasing org 3000, this vendor is not replicated to EBP, all other vendor for the same combination are replicated.
For this reason I manually execute the t-code BBPGETVD and I am receiving the error message as "Error in Organizational Structure; Only One Organ. Unit is Allowed per Backend P.Org Purchasing Organization: 3007 Backend: MP1CLNT100" in SLG1.
    Technical Data

Could you please suggest me how to fix this issue.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

    assume vendor code :- 10001 ,COMP CODE :- 1089 , P.ORG 1089 and 3000
    but why error message gives
    purch org. 3007
    for example :-
did you extend the vendor from 1089 to 3000
    or
created a new vendor for both purch org 1089 and 3000
    or
There are some sap notes are available why vendors are not transfered to ecc
    two reason
    1.extend to pur.org
2.while running sync job - vendor admin team creates a vendor master that time time stamps are ignored- sap offered a note as well

  • Material Replication R/3 to SRM 3.0 - material not in COMMPR01

    Hi,
We regularly repicate Product category from R/3 to EBP without any problem. For a requirement, I created a material in R/3, and now want to replicate it to EBP 4.0 (SRM 3.0)
I executed the following objects In R3AS in the same order as listed below,
    1. DNL_CUST_BASIS3
    2. DNL_CUST_PROD0
    3. DNL_CUST_PROD1
    4. Material
All the process were succesful. SMQ1/SMQ2 were clean, R3AM1 had green signal for all.
But when I check in COMMPR01 or in table COMM_PRODUCT I donet see any material.
I am not sure where I am going wrong. Please suggest.
My requirement is to bring the Material from R/3 to EBP for procurement so that I need to create an equipment in R/3 (automatically) at Goods receipt, refering to this material number for tracking purpose.
Any solutions for this would be welcome.
    Regards,
    MRao

    Hello Mahesh,
MARA-MATKL is actually the material group. The material number would be MARA-MATNR.
As an example our filter settings for materials are:
MARA     MATKL     EQ Equality (= Low)     101780                                                  I Inclusive defined set/array
MARA     MTART     EQ Equality (= Low)     ZAWA                                                  I Inclusive defined set/array
MARA     MTART     EQ Equality (= Low)     ZLAG                                                  I Inclusive defined set/array
Also, I don't know if it'll make a difference. Could you check transaction R3AC4 and see if 'material' is active/inactive.
    Good luck.

  • Update PO data with those of POR by vendor from SUS

    Ladies and gentlemen,
Le Radis will be delighted to give you 10 points or more if you explain how we can replace in a standard way or with a bespoke the Purchase Order data with those of the Purchase Order Response data created by the vendor in SUS.
We do not need any approval from the purchasing side.
We are running SRM4 with SUS 3 in a stand alone scenario.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Le Radis

Le Radis: you can use Workflow "Auto transfer of POR data to PO" (WS14500001). For more info, see the following help.sap document:
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm40/helpdata/en/45/87a34098022a54e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">Workflows for Purchase Order Responses</a>
Adjust the start conditions if you want to deviate from the described standard start criteria (if you change the start conditions, make sure you adjust same for other POR workflows accordingly).
One pre-requisite of course is that PORs flow from SUS to EBP without any problems.
    Cheers,
    Serguei

  • ROS (without SUS) and EBP in same client-Transferred BP status?

    Friends,
We are working on SRM 7.
The ROS (without SUS) and EBP are implemented on the same SRM client.
In supplier registration process, when the accepted business partner is transferred from ROS to EBP, a supplier is correctly created in EBP client with the same business partner number, but the status of the transferred business partner is not updated from 'ACCEPTED' to 'RELEASED', hence there is risk that user can transfer the business partner again.
As per OSS note 857386, the status released is set automatically by the system when an accepted supplier has been distributed. Also the status is valid only for DISTRIBUTED suppliers, that is, ONLY for suppliers TRANSFERED through OPI.
I understand, if ROS (without SUS) and EBP are deployed on separate clients in same server then when the accepted business partner is transferred from ROS to EBP, system triggers an XI message to update the ROS business partner status to 'RELEASED'. Is my understanding right?
How do we update the transferred business partner status to RELEASED when ROS and EBP are on same client?

    Regards,

    Hi Glen
What is the reason you are using ONUMB  = 2. Why are you not using ONUMBE = 1
Note on ONUMB and PNUMB u2013
    1. For switch value 1, the internal interval is used.
    2. For switch values 2 and 3, the interval is defined by switches HRALX/OSUBG and HRALX/PSUNG.
    3. Additionally for switch values 2 and 3, a grouping must be created (transaction BUC2) for these intervals. So that the system can connect the grouping and number range interval, the name of the grouping must be identical to the name of the corresponding number range interval (the name of the grouping is in the first column of the table).
    4.  If type 3 is chosen (switch HRALX/ PNUMB=3) for the number assignment of business partners of the employee role, switch HRALX/PSUBG need to be created manually in table T77S0.
Refer to other OSS notes mentioned in the document

  • Creation of EBP Purchase Order for Service Products in MM

    Hello all,
i have created the service master in MM system and then i have replicated the service master to EBP later i tried to create a EBP PO for Service Products through Sourcing from EBP to MM.
But i am getting a failure message as "Error during determination of  backend document follow on documents for shopping cart " and PO is not created anyway.
But i can create PO for Materials with the same process.
I am getting this message only during creation of PO with Service Products.
I request you if any body has the solution please post your valuble information as early as possible.

    Mahesh
What I understood from your case is you were able to create PR in backend for service items when you assign vendor manually durin g SC creation.
In that case definitely it will create PR instead of PO in backend. Because when a vendor is assigned manually during SC creation. that vendor is treated as desired vendor and not fixed vendor. So it gives suggestion to buyer, who converts PR to PO, to use this vendor.
When a desired vendor is assigned manually, SC is treated as incomplete. SC is complete only when source of supply is assigned automatically.
If you want that desired vendor to be treated as fixed vendor you need to maintain the same in BADI BBP_DOC_CHANGE and method BBP_SC_CHANGE.
If PO is to be created directly(Without BADI logic) make sure vendor is assigned automatically in source of supply section of SC. This  can be possible by maintaining vendor list in SRM or maintain a Contract for that product in backend so that system will pick that source automatically.
Try this and see what document is created in backend.
PS:Reward points if the solution is helpful to you.

  • Not able to see Invoice sent by SUS to EBP in Portal

    Hi,
I am trying to send Invoice from SRM SUS to SRM EBP via XML in Extended Classic Scenario(Using Service_Procurement_Supplier_Enablement XI scenario). I am able to sucessfully send and receive XML from SRM SUS to SRM EBP checked in SXMB_MONI in SUS, XI and EBP. I am using SRM SERVER 7.0.
Also i have checked in BBP_PD t-code in SRM EBP for BUS2205 Object, Invoice is showing by  BBP_PD in SRM EBP which sent by SRM SUS. But i am not able to view this invoice in Portal at the tracking of PO by  Purchaser Login while before this i am able to view Purchase Order Response (POR) and Sus Confirmation sent by SUS to EBP in Portal at the tracking of PO by Purchaser Login.
Kindly suggest me what should i do to get Invoice at Portal sent by SUS to EBP at Portal.
Relative answers are really appreciable and will give full points for this.
    Thanks.
    Regards,

    Hi,
As per standard Confirmation can be created from SUS for a EBP/SUS colloaboration.
In my current project, where both EBP & SUS are in same server with different clients.
We have been getting confirmations from the suppliers frequently without any issue.
Only issue is after getting the confifrmation details from SUS to EBP, we made a custom workflow to
send those detaisl again back to ECC with custom FM.
I hope the above information is clear and useful to you.
    Thanks
    Rajesh K

  • Auto Approval EBP Purchase Order is not updating the status at the header

    Hi There ,
We are facing an issue in EBP auto approval PO ,
The process level schema is set to Auto Approval  (Standard 9CBUS2201_EX01_55)
During the PO creation , the standard schema is triggered and it gets approved .
The status of the PO in the Approval Tab is showing as Approved .
But in the docuemnt level the status is still Awaiting Approval .
While checking in SWI1 we came to know that an error has happened in the Task TS40007972
and the Guid ID of SRM Purchase is initial that has made the status(EV_STATUS) as initial .
The ERROR is from the below class & method.
    Class: /SAPSRM/CL_WF_PROCESS_MGR_SBWF
    Method:GET_PROCESS_DECISION_STATUS
Can anyone suggest to overcome this issue .It will be very usefull if anyone could suggest debugging possibility if any .
    Regards,
    Arun.

    Have you tried notes?

    Help!
GrFinger is an SDK put out by Grauile (or something like that) just seach grfinger in google, you'll find it.
    Thanks

Don't you think you should really contact Grauile ?
They wrote the software, including the native DLL libraries, and probably encountered this problem before on dual processor machines.
