ECATT/TCD(Record) SAP GUI 6.20
Hi All,
I hope is threre anyone to help me in my problem.
I use TCD(Record) to record entries in Transaction OAAD to archiving .pdf documents. I use the SECATT transaction and I work in BC-TWB-TST-ECA. I use the test script record for the Z_OAAD Transaction step by step as in the eCATT Documentation. (I mean the example with the FK01 Transaction code). As I made the record I have to load my .pdf file from a local path on my C partition. At the end of the recording I got my archiving document without any errors. When I restart the record I got an "Abord by the user" and I didn't find any record in the structure editor for the input path of the document. I mead, I expected an input record like under CATT, SALOPM0105 The Input FrontendPath.
How is posible to load a document with eCATT?
Hi Vishal,
thank you very much for your advice. I thought that the problems:-) are already solved. I forgot to say I have the SAPKB62052. But unfortunately, it's still buggy. I can test the same record with another SAP system (4.6B) and there I have no problem.
I've seen some changes in the program that I use and I really didn't understand. I think here begins my problem:
The FUGR OPTM (4.6B), Dyntro 0105 it was replace with
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
MODULE OUTPUT.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
MODULE FILENAME.
PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
* field sapb-sapinpath module helpfile.
FIELD SAPB-SAPPOOLINF MODULE HELPFILE. " Corr. 4.0b am
The same FUGR OPTM, Dynpro 0105 (6.20)
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
MODULE OUTPUT.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
field data_0105-filename module filename on input.
field data_0105-filename module input.
PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
field data_0105-filename module helpfile.
I'll take a break now, and I hope I'll have a nice weekend to forget the SAP problems.
Thanks again for your answer and have a nice weekend too.
Best regards, GP

UPK V11.0 Issues recording SAP GUI
Hello,
I am using the multi-license of UPK v 11.0 attempting to record the back-end of SAP (the GUI). When I go to record (both in manual and automatic), I run into a progress delay. For example, I was recording a transaction in SAP and it literally took 5 minutes to record one slide. This does not appear to be a problem in other applications such as word, etc.
I have cleared my cache, I have cleared my target applications excluding the SAP apps and I have increased my disk storage to a 1GB. I had a peer also attempt the recording and ran into the same issue. I am using a Dell Latitude E6410. My instructor during UPK also witnessed this and told me to reach out to the community.
Any suggestions on UPK recording for SAP GUI v7.20?
Regards,
JoyHi,
Just wondering whether you have resolve this issue? If yes, how do you resolve it? Can it be share?
We are facing the same issue on recording, which it took very long.
BTW, do you also face any issue on version mismatch eventhought UPK v11 and SAPGUI7.20 installed during the recording?

Difference between SAP GUI scripting and eCATT
HI,
What is difference between SAP GUI Script and eCATT.
I know that SAP GUI Script can be used for transaction that have activex controls but can we use these script in eCATT also.
If yes, how?
Thanks,
PriyaHi Priya,
SAPGUI script will only work from an external program, may be VB or vbScript. ECATT can only execute a fixed set of commands e.g. (TCD, SAPGUI etc) or a block of ABAP code. ECATT can both work in foreground and background mode.
In foreground mode you would be able to see the script running on your frontend whereas background mode will create a job in the SAP system.
You can convert your SAPGUI scripts to SAPGUI commands and execute. If you strictly want to execute SAPGUI script from ECATT then you would have to save the script somewhere on your desktop computer and call it from an ABAP block in ECATT.

Hi Friends
I am new to this forum and would request to help me solving the following problem
Requirement is as follows.
Development of screen mapping utility - which would likely use the eCATT/SAPGUI library.
Depending on how the eCATT/SAPGUI interface works, probably some infrastructure code to connect, etc.
How should i go about this.
Regards
sunderHello Sunder,
I think that you should post this question in the SAP GUI.

Removing buttons from SAP Records Management GUI.
Hi Records Management Experts,
I want to delete some push buttons like Back, Exit, Cancel... in records management(in portal), which is a SAP GUI.
Please tell me how to delete the buttons from the GUI.
Thanks,
Rani.Dear BP,
1. Is it possible in SAP Records Management copy records, using standard functionality or i need to Z development?
Pragya - you will need to develop it..no standard module
2. Is it possible in SAP Records Management dowload(serialize) and upload records to ORGANIZER/SCASE? (download/upload, that is, per se, copying.)
Pragya-not in SCASE or ORGANIZER but in SCASEPS it is possible
3. When I implemented the circulars in ORGANZER, I observed that the method COMPLETED from BUS SDISPOSITN does not start automatically. I can start it using transaction SWUE manually but it won't good... Maybe this can be done in the Status Profile,
but I didn't manage because BUS RECORD is only started in Status Profile.
Pragya- This cant be done via status profile in Record directly. What you can try though, is to raise an event for record say CLOSED...register a listener in SWETYPV & raise COMPLETED in that listener (could be a function module).
Best Regards,
Pragya -
ECATT - SAPGUI Recording Messages Queries
Jonathan,
With the earlier discussion regarding SAPGUI recording pattern, following were the observations. (More details were posted on September 08, 2005 with the subject - Re: eCATT SAPGUI Recording Queries)
>> The messages, which I got, are not popup dialog boxes. They are at the bottom on status bar. And the system is expected to proceed further with the warning message without any problem. But the SAPGUI recorded script fails due to such unrecorded messages.
TCD handles such situation automatically. But SAP GUI doesn't. So how to handle such unpredicted situation?
>> Again, it is mentioned in help that whenever Controls are involved, one should go ahead with SAPGUI.
What is this 'Control' mean in case of TCD.
Thanks & Regards.Jonathan,

RAJDear Igor,
Your issue is caused by the "screen check" which eCATT processes here.
In General this screen check is a very usefull activity, since is ensures that only those screens are processed by automation, which initially where recorded. This should ensure as much as possible to invoke only intended activities.
Remember, that the driver of the screen flow is still the automated transaction program ( but not the test tool). So application logic decides which screen is send next.
Using screen check the test tool tries to ensure that menu items and buttons and other activities are only automated when the tool "believes" to work on the intended screen.
For generic test scripts and often in context of generated programs the screen check might hurt a bit.
To overcome this, one might try to make the check dynamic (as Sheetal suggests correctly).
If here the name of program cannot be determined for any reason, one can use another method and do following:
- Change the value of ProcessedScreen-Active to 'R'
This will disable/skip the screen-check for this ProcessedScreen.
Sure the solution includes a certain risk, since not checking the correct screen to appear might lead to automation of actions with not desired impact.
Maybe this can improve your solution.
Kind Regards

SAP GUI 7.30 PL4 - Uninstall does not work - Why?
Hi all,
I have a properly installed SAP GUI 7.30 version with the package called "PEACY" which includes the following components:
SAP GUI for Windows 7.30 (Compilation 2)
Engineering Client Viewer 7.0
KW Add-On for SAP GUI 7.30
i.s.h.med Planning Grid
Business Explorer
Now I am trying to do a uninstall with the following command-line:
'"C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SapSetup\Setup\NWSapSetup.exe" /Silent /Uninstall /Package=PEACY'
The uninstall runs 4.193 seconds, ends with Return-Code: 0, but all the above mentioned components are still installed. Is there any clue why the components did not get uninstalled?
You can find the whole NwSapSetup.log attached.
Thanks in advance!

SAP GUI 7.2 Crashing after server selection
Hi everyone,
I'm having an issue with one of our users. It has been working fine before. Windows 7 32bit. Whenever she selects a server to log in to it just closes out SAPGUI. I have tried reinstalling, updating to the latest patchlevel and removing everything SAP related off the machine. This is only happening to one user. After figuring out how to make logon traces I've been trying to figure out the logs. One log that caught my eye was GUIDLLEN.trc.

Any idea on why this is doing that? I would rather not reinstall the OS on the machine.Hello Jun,
You may be lucky if it installs. By the time Windows 7 came out SAP had de-supported SAP GUI 7.20. The SAPSetup.exe release may not be able to recognize any recently updated Microsoft OS DLLs necessary for installation.
However, I would recommend you check the services file to ensure the necessary ports are correct and that either your local firewall or network firewall isn't blocking any of these ports. This should clear up the error: "Cannot connect to message server".
I can also see there is a permission issue with open, write read with %sfile. Can you ensure this has administrator permission's or permitted to do these activities.

Changing the label of a field in SAP GUI
Hello SAP Guys,
I would like to change the label of a field in SAP GUI.
I already did it internally because for that field the Shor Text of the label changed:
I went to SE11, and wrote down the appropriate data element, through Translation I changed the entries of SCRTEXT_L, SCRTEXT_M and SCRTEXT_S and activated this change after saving.
It is very strange that after making sure that the
Short Text of that field was changed, I went to trx BP and I could see that the label didn´t change.
I´ll appreciate any help you can give me,
Regards,
EfrainHi Efrain,
Can you tell me in which screen did you make the screen.
Moreover the changes are not reflected immediately.
What you can try is to create a new record of the transaction in which you changed the label and save the recore. After this try to close the session and reopen the transaction and this should work.
The reason is the label on the screen are not picked up from the data element everytime but from buffer. So when you create a record this updates the database table entry and can also refresh the buffer.
I had the same problem in BP transaction and the above solution worked.
Let me know if this helps.

Load a flat file into BW-BPS using SAP GUI
Hi,
We are using BW BPS 3.5 version, i implemented how to guide " How to load a flat file into BW-BPS using SAP GUI" successfully without any errors.
I inlcuded three infoobjects in the text file costelemt, Posting period and amount. the same three infoobjects i inlcuded the file structure in the global data as specified in the how to document
The flat file format is like this
Costelmnt Postingperiod Amount
XXXXX #
XXXXX 1 100
XXXXX 2 800
XXXXX 3 700
XXXXX 4 500
XXXXX 5 300
XXXXX 6 200
XXXXX 7 270
XXXXX 8 120
XXXXX 9 145
XXXXX 10 340
XXXXX 11 147
XXXXX 12 900
I successfully loaded above flat file in to BPS cube and it dispalyed in the layout also.
But users are requesting to load flatfile in the below format
Costelmnt Annual(PP=#) Jan(PP=1) Feb(PP=2) ........................................Dec(PP=12)
XXXXX Blank 100 800 900
Is it possible to load a flat file like this
They wants load a single row instead of 13 rows for each costelement
How to do this. Please suggest me if anybody accorss this requirment.
In the infocube we have got only one Info object 0FISCPER3(Posting period) and one 0AMOUNT(Amount)
do we need 13 Infobjects for each posting period and amount.
Is there any possiblity we can implement any user exit which we use in BEX Quer's
Please share your ideas on this.
Thanks in advance
Best regards
SSHi,
There are 2 ways to do this.
One is to change the structure of the cube to have 12 key figures for the 12 posting periods.
Another way is to write an ABAP Function Module to fetch the values from each record based on the posting period and store it in the cube for the corresponding characteristic. This way, you dont have to change the structure of the cube.
If this particular cube is not used anywhere else, I would suggest to change the structure itself.
Hope this helps. -
SAP GUI Scripting Wizzard Windows7 does not work
Dear Experts,
I am quite a novice when it comes to SAP GUI scripting (let alone any other development), therefore my question might be rather stupid. After my PC was migrated from XP to Windows 7 it is no longer possible to use the SAP GUI scripting wizzard. When you select it from the menue, simply nothing happens.
Does anyone have an idea what I need to do to have this useful tool back on my PC?
We are running SAP GUi 7.1
Thanks for your help
TheoHere is SAP GUI wizard replacement tool...its in auto IT - enjoy
http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/149540-sapwizardudf/
I had the tech guys here install , the latest GUI patch level 15,
and the script development tools not working issue has been fixed
They (SAP?) removed the 'script development tools' menu option!?
I have not installed the MS hotfix, but
My question is, it true the 'Script development tools' is gone?
Other methods
a) This (free) non SAP solution seems to work however...any other ideas?
Scripting Tracker Lite
http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-32728
b) The Activate GuiXT tool in SAP GUI also does give you some clues in the element window
and could be an alternative way , to get control names.
eg a radio button is R[P_CONTROL_ID] when it should be radP_CONTROL_ID
c) The SAP script recording and playback , to a vbs script will give you the control names also, if you edit the script.
You must of course have GUI scripting on in rz11

How to deliver items in SAP R/3 using sap gui
Hi all,
I have created an order.I want to deliver the items contained in it. pls tell me how to do it using sap gui.
Regards,
Kiran.Hi Anil
You can create a normal ABAP report to delete or modify records from database table.
You can use statements such as delete or modify for this purpose.
First select the records from table bring them into internal table and use that table to delete the records from database.
Note: If you are trying to delete records from Z tables then this approch can be adopted but if you are dealing with Standard tables it`s not a option to directly delte the reocrds from database table .
For that purpose you can use BDC or any othe available FM/BAPI.
Note :When you are deleting records from the database table please use locking function module to lock the database entries.

SSF: verification of third-party signed documents on SAP GUI/AS
Hello everybody,
I try to test SSF infrastrucure in SAP R/3 using SAPCRYPTOLIB, however, signing and verification of documents works fine when I use standard system PSE (SAPSYS.pse) and standard server certificate (CN=MEI) only.
I need to realize the scenario when I sign a document in web browser using an Active-X component available on the market (I use my personal certificate of type RSA SHA-1 from web browser). Then I want to verify the signature of signed document on WAS. I use the standard function SSF_KRN_VERIFY, but I always obtain SSF_API_DECODE_FAILED. The same thing happens when I try to verify the signature on SAP GUI. I made a RSA PSE into which I placed my personal certificate for verification.
I know it relates to problem with conversion to ANS.1 format, however, I do not know how to fix it. May be, there will be another problem with private key length used for signing which is 1024 bits. I don't know if SSF supports it. Do you have any suggestions ?
Many thanks

How to deal with generated programs in eCATT SAPGUI recording?
Hi experts and professionals,
I am trying to automate testing of our solutions by eCATTs and so far i have not been able to find solution for following problem.
Whole test scenario is very simple:
Check InfoProvider data (query, lookup, listcube,...)
Create DAP on InfoProvider
Archive InfoProvider
Check InfoProvider data (query, lookup, listcube,...) again
Compare results from step 1. and 4. (must match)
Reload archived data
Check InfoProvider data (query, lookup, listcube,...) again
Compare results from step 1. and 7. (must match)
As you can see, one of the required test steps is to check InfoProvider's data in transaction LISTCUBE.
But transaction LISTCUBE generates its program "name" every time it is executed and
I am struggling to find a way how to deal with these generated programs in eCATT SAPGUI recording.
Key is that solution must be generic and work for all SAP BW releases from 7.0 upwards
(having in mind that LISTCUBE can read NLS data from SAP BW 7.3 release).
Error description from eCATT log:
Screen Check Error: Expected Transaction: LISTCUBE, Actual Transaction: LISTCUBE.
Expected Program: GP0KOZE7EFIUBN10MZUFWX90W80, Actual Program: GPBP24INA6VV77SL0XKU5NA642O.
Expected Screen Number: 1000, Actual Screen Number: 1000.
There Is Probably an Error in SAPGUI recording.
ExceptionClass:CX_ECATT_APL_CAPTURE ExceptionId:SCREEN_CHECK_ERROR
RaisingClass:CL_APL_ECATT_LINE_INTERPRETER Include:CL_APL_ECATT_LINE_INTERPRETER=CM00J Line:443
Is there any way how to avoid program check in eCATT script?
Anything that would help me to find solution will be greatly appreciated.
Best Regards,
IgorDear Igor,
Your issue is caused by the "screen check" which eCATT processes here.
Jens
