ECM MSS Recalculate Error?

Anyone come across this problem or know of a resolution? It is in the ECM 5.0 using MSS portal in the Enterprise Compensation management planning screen
If you enter in the % for an employee and click on recalculate, it calculate the amount fine.
However, if I enter in the amount and click on recalculate, it gives me a dump saying "Inconsistency..." error...
I can't figure out what config settting is cauing is...

I had raised an OSS ticket for this recalculation issue in ECM.
OSS found a bug in the program code & they have included the fix in the latest patch.
So to fix this issue, you need to apply the latest service pactch from SAP.
Here is where you can download the patch.

Custom Columns in ECM MSS Portal screen not updating IT0759

Hi,
We are implementing ECM - MSS.
We have enhanced IT0759 with custom fields.
Some of those custom fields are display fields on Portal and some of them are input fields on portal. Display fields are working fine because we have specified custom function modules on the Data Provider block to derive their values during runtime.
Whereas, for the input fields, we are unable to update the data back into IT0759 from the Portal screen. Since, Portal is calling the FM HR_ECM_UI_HANDLE_PROCESS_DATA directly and the custom fields are not available on the structure PROC_PLANNED_TAB (refer HRECM00PROC_INFO for fields).
If anyone has suggestions, please provide...

I am trying to create a budget in ECM. When trying to Save the created budget i am getting the followin error.

First of all the sicf transaction is to be used only if you use the internal ITS.
Now you have to put an external breakpoint in the source code of the ABAP Program or FM you want to debug , one of these in your case :

I've configured ESS BP in my Portal successfully and it's running perfectly fine. Now i've imported MSS also without any problems. Now the issue is when i'm launching the My Staff iViews it gives me a message "Could not connect to the R/3 System" . These iViews using the system object "SAP_R3_HumanResources" which has been used by the ESS iViews also. Now ESS iViews are working fine with the same system object but MSS iviews are giving me the error message.
My System landscape :
MSS BP Installed: BPMSS601_19-20001489
R3- 4.6C
Portal : EP6 Sp11
WAS: 6.40
Any help will be highly appreciated.

MSS BW error: My Controlling Area (SAP Exit, CO Pers.) (*)

We're starting to set up MSS My Budget. When I try to run a BW cost center report from within My Budget, I get an error indicating that the application can't determine a value for "My Controlling Area". Please advise how I can fix this. Authorization? User Exit?

This problem has occurred AGAIN! I am at a loss of how to resolve.
E.g.
Hours posted = 168 (@ 50 Eur/hr)
Eur = 8,517.60
GBP = 75,396.72
The object currency is Eur however the controlling area currency is GBP. When converting back to GBP it is completely incorrect. Any help would be much appreciated!

MSS iView Errors

Hi all. We're getting a Portal Runtime error in our production environment when trying to view certain MSS iviews, such as Absence Days, Personal Data, Detail View Attendances, Company Properties, Emergency Contact, etc.
The error looks something like,

All MSS iViews, working and not working, are inheriting from the same top level folder. In their permissions is the Everyone group (Administrator=none, End User=checked) and the super_adminstrator_role (Administrator=owner, End User=checked).

You need to check the permissions of that MSS Iview
Go to the path System Administration>Permisssions,
Go to "pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/srvconfig"
Check whether you have valid permission or not.

CATS Approval in MSS - same error, other issue?

We have upgraded our portal and HR environment to the latest sp and enhancement packs.
In the testing we get a blocking dump in the time approval in MSS.

I've checked the table TPT_FIELD_SEL_C between development and our testing environment and they are the same.
The only special thing is that we don't use the standard SAP_LINE approval view (see IMG), but our own custom one. The SLIN is not configured ok, but our own "ZLIN" fields are configured ok (into table TPT_FIELD_SEL_C).

This happens due to the missing customisation in Mss.
ie Configuration for screen areas CTS and CTD is missing. View
V_PT_FIELD_SEL is meant to hold the relevant information.
Please have a look at the client 000 for the default customisation.
So, What you need to do is write table TPT_FIELD_SEL_C on a transport
and transport it to client . You will then have all the setting
you need for the application to work.
Also,
The solution is to write down all the
technical field-names from view groups CTS and CTD in table TPT_FIELD_S
EL_C, then use the config area to select the fields properly. This overwrites the TPT_FIELD_SEL_C table entries with ones that have the "tabname" populated! The application will now work as expected.
Please try producing a new transport of the entire table TPT_FIELD_SEL_Cas R3TR TABU with appropriate key and transport to yor system, you
should choose to overwrite the destination table. Please let us know
the result after.
Please check the customisation for MSS approval.
SAP_LINE: Model approval view for line managers. It groups recorded data according to the employees assigned to the line manager.
For example the above view has been defined? or you can adapt to your
needs.
Can you try to import the transport again but make sure that "overwrite
orginals" in the OPTIONS tab is selected?

Push enter
Then one icon with a Key appear
Push the key and enter * for all the table entries or select the
each one that you need.
If the changes are correctly available then it will work correctly
Please ensure that the transport is done correctly

I tried to test connection for the "Connection Test for Connectors" i am getting following error.But Connection test is success for the "ITS Connection"

I want to configure ESS and MSS.
My landscape is:
- J2EE 7.0 with Portal 7.0 (2004s) in a server A.
- ECC 5.0 ( with HR component SP05) in a server B.
Server B, has only stack Abap.
Server A is the latest version of Netweaver today. (stack j2ee and stack abap, BI, XI, Portal, etc)
I download and deploy in server A (J2EE 7.0), this components:
- BP ESS for erp2004
- BP MSS for erp2004
When I deploy the ESS BP, the deployment break raising this kind of error with the most of components, for example:

Obviously, for this reason the most of iviews raise errors. A few of these works ok.
I assign role, and others configuration steps, this part I thinks that is OK
I configured the Jco, the role in Portal, the profile in ERP for ESS, etc.
My principal question is:
Can I use Portal 7.0 against ECC 5.0 in order tu use ESS/MSS based on webdynpro, without stack j2ee in ECC server (B) ?
Is necesary install J2ee stack in my server B ? or not?
Where I need to deploy the XSS 500 components ? in the J2EE 7.0 ?
Why when I deploy have this problem and the most of components cant deploy it?

0HR_PA_EC_11 ECM InfoSource activation error in BI7

Hi Gurus,
I'm having error during 0HR_PA_EC_11 infosource activation. The error is "Field SALLVMAX of type CURR requires a reference field of type CUKY" while activating after I installed it from standard BI content.
And some error details:
/BIC/CS0HR_PA_EC_11-SALLVMAX (combination reference table/field /BIC/CS0HR_PA_EC_11-/BIC/ANCUR does not exist)
This is for ECM HR mod btw.
Is there any step did i miss out.

the reference one CUKY is available in AWB?
If you are using BI7 then why do you need infosource,you replicate data source then install transformations and datatarget etc.
In BI7,you dont need infosource concept.

I am deploying the Business Packages (ESS & MSS) of Netweaver 2004s version.
During the Deployment I am facing the following error due to some dependent component is missing and the error is

MSS PCR Error

Our ESS/MSS Scenario is as follows
Host 1 - WAS JAVA / Portal 6.0 / BP for ESS/MSS
Host 2 - WAS JAVA / WebDynpro / XSS 5.0 / Adobe Document Services
Host 3 - ECC5.0
SSO + UME configured to use ECC5.0 as the User source as without which the Portal wouldn't work with the Webdynpro on another host. Portal is the Ticket issuer. Certain functionality of ESS Works. In short ESS User & MSS Users can log in using the user source in ECC5.0.
In MSS, when I go to Personnel Change Request -> New Change Request. Select an Employee -> Next step. Then select a form (Seperation for example). I get the following Error
Imp - I have configured ADS, but not the SSL part of the configuration.
Is the SSL config required even though we are using only http and not https?
Running the test program FP_PDF_TEST_00 doesn't show the version number? If it shows the version number, does it mean that the configuration of ADS is completely done?
Is there anything else needs to be done for PCR to work....
I have also created the FP_ICF_DATA HTTP Destination on the Host1 & Host2, but not sure how this will work in this scenario.

Hi
I have configure ESS/MSS on EP 6.0 and backhand is ERP2004
when i click personal information iview i get following error
no jcoMetadata found for RFC function &\#39;ISR_COMPLETE_NOTIFICATION
since i mantaioned all JCO accoring to help document.
how can i solve this error.

MSS iView Error "Error in Source. Message not available"

After installing MSS 60.1.5 (System = HP-UX 11.11 ORACLE 9.2.0.5. SAP EP 6.0 ON WEB AS 6.20)
and trying to use the the iViews in the MyBudget workset we are getting the following errors:
Using iView Chritical Variance on My cost centers and assets monitor we are getting the error Error in Source. Message not available.
Using iView Critical Line Items on My Cost Centers we are getting the error An error occurred in the SAP system10 The specified SAP system could not be found null SAP_R3_Financials.
We have made system allias for our system oursystem = SAP_R3_Financials and the user we are using have accesse to the portal as well as the backend system.
When creating normal SAP transaction iViews we have no problem accessing the backend system from the Portal.
Any good ideas will be appriciated.

Hi ,
Under MSS / Team : "Employee Course Assignment", "Manage Mandatory Assignments" ,"Mandatory Assignments Report", "Manage Participation" are not working . Do we have to active something ? Oss Notes ?

1. Check the Business Functions HCM_LSO_CI_1 and HCM_LSO_CI_2
2.Check whether you activated following Services through SICF
LSO_MANAGE_MANDATORY_ASSIGN
LSO_MANAGE_PARTICIPANTS
3.If you already activated then check from the back end through SICF or SE80 ..right click on the service and Test..
4.If it is not working then what is the error you are getting...
