Edit existing Bookmarks to renamed Querie

Hello experts,
we have the following scenario:
We have users in our BI portal which have created bookmarks to BI queries.
Now we want to rename all queries to a new Name-convention.
The existing bookmarks won´t work anymore because they are all linked to the old names of the queries.
Now we went to the backend system and edit the following tables:
RSWR_DATA and RSWR_DATA_XREF to the new-named queries. But this doesn´t work. XML parser get´s an error.
Anyone who has an idea to solve this problem? Queries would be renamed and favorites/bookmarks should point to the new (exactly the same, except the technical-name) queries!

I no longer get the "edit this bookmark" box when click on the gold star

Using Firefox 3.6.12 on Windows XP professional, version 5.1.2600 service pack 3, build 2600. Have "Unsorted Bookmarks Folder Menu" add-on installed, working fine, but 4 days ago clicking on the star icon to edit an existing bookmark stopped working. Hovering over the gold star still gives the pop up message "edit this bookmark" - but when I click on it, nothing happens, the edit bookmark box does not appear. Also, the "Options" button for the "Unsorted Bookmarks Folder Menu" add-on is greyed out, so no luck with trying to fix it from there.

i tried this idea even tho on my main pc Mcafee SA does not cause the problem. on the laptop it has just happened and i have removed and re-installed firefox to no avail. any other ideas please?

Tried to edit backup bookmarks html document in Notepad. Saved as html but now lost formatting & links - help!

We've had malware problems so I backed up my hard drive's bookmarks onto our server but now the bookmarks are out of date. I just wanted to update them and save them back as the full web page that I originally had as the backup, so I can import them into the new PC we are about to purchase. Now I think I've ruined the whole thing by opening it in Notepad, editing one of the tags and then saving as an html file. It opens in Firefox but there are no spaces or paragraphs or hyperlinks -- it's now just a mass of text squashed together. I can't find anything about this on the Firefox Help section. What am I doing wrong? I didn't change any of the formatting or coding!

What you could have done is (these options may still be open to you depending on the state of your sytems).
* Saved the bookmarks by exporting them from Firefox (They are not by default exported as HTML - most times HTML may not be wanted)

Firefox keeps bookmarks, along with History in a database called ''places.squlite'' additionally

Note if you are trying to combine bookmarks from an older profile and a small set of recent bookmarks (Remembering to always backup bookmarks manually first of all)

A pain to edit each bookmark names, please advice~~

I have copied a bookmark folder from Firefox to Safari 4. In Firefox, most bookmark names are automatically appeared quite meaningfully (seems it captured the headline from the website) once they are added and I didn't have to rename them. But those default bookmarks that are now copied to Safari had their names appeared as URL addresses. It is a pain to edit those bookmark names one by one in the folder since I have got lots of them in the folder!!! Is there a quick way to configure it so that it can pick up meaningful name automatically?

try to edit properties of page and save it, if you can save it, it may be in pages library, there are required properties, that do not added to page layout, if so, open page layout in spd and add required columns to page layout
also it may be that, in your page layout or master page, there are other webpart or controls that have required validations.

yes it seems there are a required column inside the parent content type, i change it to be optional and now i can save a new wiki page if all the required fields are entered.
but the problem now is that in case the user leave a mandatory field empty and he click on the save button , the error dialog will be display .and if the user clicks on the "Ok" button inside the error dialog,
he will be redirected to another page and all the data he entered will be lost. so the right behavior should be to stay on the same page when clicking on the "Ok" button. as currently the user
will have to re-enter the data again.
so i have to either prevent the dialog from being displayed , or to stop the redirect ? not sure if this is possible ...

I followed directions of arrowing down and hitting delete, but cannot get certain addresses out of by address/location bar. What am I doing wrong? I also have not been able to figure out how to move existing bookmarks into folders.

I am running Windows Vista, Firefox 3.6.13, on a 18 month old HP a6700f. I read the embedded help, but the instructions for deleting addresses doesn't work and it doesn't tell how to move existing bookmarks to a folder.

Entries in the location bar drop down list with a yellow (blue on Mac) star at the right end are bookmarks. 
You can remove such a bookmarked item that shows in the list if you open that url in a tab and click the yellow star in the location bar. 
This will open the Edit This Bookmark dialog and you can click the Remove button to remove the bookmark if you want to remove such a bookmarked entry.

"Unsorted bookmarks" got renamed when trying to create a new folder?

I added a new bookmark by clicking the little star in the adress bar, then clicked it again to edit the bookmark. I wanted to move it out of the "Unsorted bookmarks" folder into a new folder named "Minecraft stuff", so i clicked "Bookmark menu" and then clicked "New folder".
It created a new folder for me to rename, so I named it "Minecraft stuff", but then when i clicked elsewhere, the folder disappeared. And then I noticed that "Unsorted bookmarks had been renamed into "Minecraft stuff" :/
I cannot find anywhere how to undo this.
When i go into the bookmark library, it is still called minecraft stuff, but down below in the little box it says "Name: Unsorted bookmarks". Really weird...

#Click the Firefox button, go to Bookmarks, Show All Bookmarks.

If you just want to rename the folder, hit CTRL+I to open the sidebar, right click the folder, go to Properties and then rename it in the dialog box which appears.

Iphoto crashes when I try to edit existing (old) slideshow.

iphoto crashes when I try to edit existing (old) slideshow. If I create a new one I can edit them ok, it seems to be older slideshows I have the problem with. I am happy to delete slideshow but even if i try to right click I just get whirly wheel of death then need to force quit. Am running Maverick and latest version of iphoto software...

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

Step 1
For this step, the title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select

Step 2
In the Console window, select
          DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ User Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of crash reports. The name of each report starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report related to the process in question. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

My location bar, tool bar (file, edit, tools, bookmarks, help) disappeared and cannot be restored. I have no back button, home button etc. the top of the screen is just an empty blue bar. Internet still works if I click on a hyperlink on the main page.

The problem started when I turned on the computer this morning. I tried to install Mozilla 4 from your website and that installed but I still have nothing on the top.

It may be due to Firebug. Seeing as how you're a web developer, it's very possible you have this installed. The latest version, 1.7X a10, appears to cause everything you described. I downgraded to "a8" and that seems to have fixed everything.
I also recreated a profile from scratch before trying this out, so I can't guarantee it's definitely Firebug.

When I try to Bookmark a new page, I do not get the "Page Bookmarked or Edit This Bookmark" window. I t does place the site into my bookmarks but I have to go to "organize" bookmarks in order to put it where it belongs.

How are you saving a new bookmark?
There 5 ways to save a new Bookmark in Firefox, the first 4 should offer to save the new bookmark in a folder:
1.
2. Right-click and select Bookmark this Page.
3. Bookmarks > Bookmark this Page
4. Double-click the Star that is on the right side of the Location bar.
4a. (A single-click on the Star will save the new Bookmark to the Unsorted Bookmarks folder, without opening the Edit this Bookmark dialog.)
5. Drag the website image in the URL bar into the Sidebar view of Bookmarks
or to the Bookmarks menu bar item and then into the drop-down or onto the Bookmarks Toolbar

Split PDF following preserving existing bookmarks

Hello,
Is it possible to split a PDF using Acrobat XI by top level bookmarks, while retaining existing bookmarks in the resulting files?
With the default split it creates the new PDF's, but looses the bookmarks.
Thanks for any suggestions.
PS: I am on a Mac platform

If it happens always at a specific location check if there's something out
of the ordinary with that bookmark. For example, does it contain any weird
characters in its name? Is it identical to another bookmark (or even to the
name of the document itself)?
I would think the application could handle those situations, but maybe it
can't...

How do you save edits to bookmarks in Adobe 10?

After editing the bookmarks in a PDF file when the file is saved it appears that the bookmarks revert back to the original text. Is there a specific way to save these bookmark changes? Do you need to perform a Save As to capture the bookmark changes to the file?

This should not happen. There is either a problem with the file, or with your installation of Acrobat.

I recently lost the capability to "view" the "File, Edit, History bookmarks, tools & help" bar from the top of my screen, as well as the "Start" button on the bottom of the screen.

How do I get the "File, Edit, History, Bookmarks, Tools & Help Bar to appear on my browser. I also need my "Previous Page & Next Page" arrow... and my "Start" button to appear at the bottom of my screen. I can't navigate without these.

Be sure you are not in Full Screen Mode. The F11 key will toggle Full Screen Mode on or off. If you have no Firefox toolbars, tab bar, etc., you are probably in Full Screen Mode; your Windows Taskbar (with the "Start" button) will also not be visible.

If a web editor does not give you power to do full text editing and claims to be WYSIWYG, don't believe it. Chances are, it uses assumed standards of specific browsers, which are not fully http://www.w3.org/ compliant.
