Edit is greyed out, how can I cut and paste

when I want to copy something from a web page, I click on the orange "Firefox" but the edit option is greyed out and not usable. How can I cut, copy, and paste in this new format?

You can do one of the following after you have highlighted what you want to copy:
*click the Firefox button, the middle icon (looks like 2 pages with folded corners) will be available for clicking; that icon is "Copy" if you rest your cursor over the icon
*click the Firefox button, click the small triangle at the far right of Edit, click "Copy"
*in Windows, click Ctrl+C to "Copy" (Ctrl+V will "Paste")
I have "Copy", "Paste" and "Cut" buttons on the Customize Palette which you can drag to a toolbar. To open the Customize toolbar window, click Firefox button > Options > Toolbar Layout; if using the Menu Bar, click View > Toolbars > Customize.

You are trying to copy a link, it is most likely in a different color such as the words "Microsoft's own forums" in his post. In Word highlight the word or words, control click on them, select Hyperlink, then Edit Hyperlink, then delete the link from the top box. It will then have a button asking if you want to "Remove Link", click on it.

Holding the Mouse button down and dragging across text should highlight it, and Command-C Command-V should allow you to copy/paste.

To the best of my knowledge, unless the datasource and the field names are the same in both reports, you'll have to change them in the second report.
Cut and paste takes the text as is and does not do any intelligent updates based on the datasourec & field names.

1. use the selection tool(s) of your choice to select the planet. It helps to give the selection a one or two pixel feather to avoid a cutout look (Select>Feather).
2. Copy it (ctrl+C in windows, command+C on a mac)
3. Paste it (ctrl+v in windows, command+v on a mac)
You will get better results if both images have the same ppi before you start (image>resize>image size. If you need to make a change for one image, make sure Resample Image is OFF.) You can use the Move tool to arrange/resize the object once it's in the destination photo.

I was so frustated from this issue that I used to use Windows iTunes for mass editing info, adding Lyrics etc and then transfering songs to Mac. This tip has alleviated my pain!!

Using Windows 8.1. Recently purchased Adobe Reader 11. Need to cut and paste text from PDF into Word docs. Docs are not locked and content should be available for editing. Good to know that I got what I paid for with the Export PDF.I just went
into the document that I am trying to cut and paste from and highlighted a
piece of text. Clicked right, checked the Edit pulldown, and then did
Ctrl+C (assuming you meant Ctrl and then C, rather than holding them both
down together). Still no Copy option anywhere.
Properties for the document I am trying to work with do say "Content
Copying: Allowed" under Security. Since I can highlight text, I assumed
that the text is there (not a photo scan) so that I can copy it. Should I
look somewhere else under properties to confirm this?

extensively from before-so I know the text is there and manipulable.
Attempted to cut and paste from it, using the same methods above. Again,

That's fine for changing an appointment date, but is there a way to "copy" an appointment and paste it into a new date so that the date of the original appointment isn't lost?
For example, I have an appointment that occurs every 4-5 weeks, and we set the future date at our meetings, but I need to be able to go back and review earlier when earlier meeting dates took place to be able to track milestones. If I simply change the current appointment date I'll lose that history.
In Outlook I can simply copy and paste an appointment into a new date, but I'd like to be able to do so from my phone for when I'm not in my office. How can I do this?
