'Edit Project' button grayed out for a project

I have been working on a project but it stopped working all of a sudden. The 'Edit Project' button is grayed out and won't let me click on it. The movie doesn't appear in the preview pane either.
More information:
iMovie 11
Using MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard
I have sped up some of the clips
No other effects used
The earlier versions of this project (which are Hi-Vis Vest 1 and Hi-Vis Vest 3 in the screenshot) are editable BUT won't play in the preview pane but will play on full screen mode.
Anyone else have the same issue?

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! i too teach classes and need editing at my fingertips. among many classes i also teach our school district fitness class elementary program, and i found a k pop song that had a nig**word i missed it before when scanning for clean content (who thought koreans would need to use that word in a pop song especially all they have been through!) so i had to move it out of the playlist asap . kids shouldn't be exposed to this language from me, as i don't promote such crap and i should be able to move that right away so that is out of the way. same with other classes cant have muthua f** or Sh** or A$$ or what ever its gotta be clean, but sometimes i miss **** ya know so its gott move. APPLE WHAT THE #$%^@#%$&**#$@!!!!!!
THIS IS IMPORTANT. so i have folders and sub folders like spin folder then all my spin playlists under that. im not making a new friggen folder for every song playlist are yu kidding??? GGGGRRRR

No, PSE 6 and later never displays an icon for a sub-category. If you accidentally created a sub-category where a leaf keyword tag will do, change the sub-category to a keyword tag by right-clicking it, and then you'll be able to assign an icon. But if you change the keyword tag back to a sub-category, the icon will disappear.
None of that design seems very well thought out.

Edit Icon button grayed out.

When I go to edit the icon picture for some, but not all, of my Keyword Tags, the Edit Icon button is grayed out and unavailable. Did I do something incorrect when creating these Keyword Tags? Other Tags can be changed but not all of them.

PowerPivot button grayed out for existing .xlsx files

Hi,
I have been working with PowerPivot in Excel 2010 for some time now with no issue till this morning when any existing report (.xlsx) file does not allow me to go to the PowerPivot window (grayed out mostly. sometimes it shows up and when I click it the PowerPivot
window opens up and gets stuck with a message ' Preparing the Power pivot window .. please wait'). The field list is grayed out too and I am not able to add any new pivot table or chart. Existing slicers are all working. Also new .xlsx files are working (able
to open PowerPivot).
I reinstalled Office and the PowerPivot add on, tried to disable/enable add on in Excel -> Options and made sure it is not in the 'Disabled' list.
I just tried on a different computer and faced the same problem there too.
Appreciate any help or ideas you can provide.
I am using PowerPivot Version 11.0.3000.0 and Excel version 2010 14.0.6023.1000 (32 bit).

Why are all of the toolbar buttons (like the photo button) grayed out in my project?

I'm assuming you are working on a Trailer in iMovie (not a standard project). Unfortunately, the templates accept video only - not photos or stills. That's why the Photo Browser is greyed out when you are working with Trailers.
A way around this is to convert the Trailer to a standard project. Then you will be able to add photos/stills, and perform other edits as desired.
To convert the Trailer, select "File > Convert to Project" from the menu. Before doing this, it's best to duplicate the Trailer so that all your original edits are intact in the Trailer format. To duplicate, while in Project Library view, click on the Trailer name then select "File > Duplicate Project" from the menu. Use the duplicate to do the conversion.
Duplicating won't use up much extra space on the hard drive. Projects reference the clips in the associated Event (or Events) - the clips are not copied. The project file also keeps track of titles, transitions, effects, voiceovers, music, edits you've made and so forth - these are text based and use little space.

FDM Import button grayed out for ONLY 1 period

Hello experts,
I want to import a text file to HFM via FDM. I chose the current POV (period, location,..) and go to the upload tab. What's a suprise, my import button is gray and i can not import my text file. I tried to change to other Period (previous and next period) and my button work well.
Why does problem happen only this period and not others ? have i missed something ? Have you already had this issues ?

Problem solved : there is a mistake in my period description (in "Control tables" section) ==> system does not recognize the period so it doesnt allow the import data.

Edit button grayed out

I'm using Acrobat 10.1.13 on Mac OS X 10.9.5.
I have a form I created in Acrobat seven or eight years ago and have been using successfully since. I have edited it several times in the past. Today, I went to edit it and the Form Edit button is grayed out, for no apparent reason I can see. It is the only form option that is grayed out.
I searched the forum for similar reports; I examined the security and advanced security panels (nothing found, but I unchecked even the basic security that was there); I checked the document PDF/A setting (set it to "Never"), and it hasn't helped. I tried to "Save a copy" as recommended by another posting -- I found only "Save as... PDF," and when I tried that I was told "The document could not be saved. There was a problem reading this document (14)."
I can still edit the document and i can still print it (though I have to use Preview to print, because since I upgraded to Acrobat 10 I always get "The document count not be printed / There were no page selected to print" when I try to print from Acrobat, and have been unable to resolve that, either).
The form does pretty intricate inter-field computations, so it would be a serious effort to recreate from scratch.
Is there any way I can get this working again?

Not only that, but I've also found that iCal and Mail will no longer launch, either. The iCal calendar pane and the Mail main window open, but the beach ball spins forever. Address Book "Edit" button grayed out...unable to edit

Had to edit a contact's info and was surprised to find the Edit button grayed out, not allowing me to click it. Repairing permissions has not helped.

Sub Problem:
When using the advanced edit cursor, right click Is used to select a hyperlink-properties the first time the dialog box pops up it does not have “focus” (not sure that is the right term, but the box is grayed out and will not respond to the keyboard.). It must be mouse clicked to get focus. The second time a link is right clicked to properties the popup responds to the key board and will move to the action tab with ctrl-tab
It’s not clear to me where the acrobat program is at that point.
Is that a known action or problem with acrobat pro 9.4.4?
Is there a key or keys from the keyboard that can force focus to the box?
The problem is each file I open I have to manually find a link and right click it to get the box then click in the box to get “focus”. After the first one the box pops up with focus.

I have been working on converting a set of pdf files with 1000’s of hyperlinks like www.site.com\folder1\file1.pdf#page=10
To jump to a local copy of the files with a relative type link
../folder1/file1.pdf and then go to the proper page.
I have found that it can be done manually by changing the hyperlink to a javascript
var otherDoc = app.openDoc('../folder1/file1.pdf', this);otherDoc.pageNum = 10 - 1;
and setting each destination file with a disclose()=true;

I have resorted to the following plan using acrobat javascript, an external keyboard macro recorder and excel in combination to get around the problem
Four folder level acrobat javascripts with “buttons”
One to get all the link quads in an array, in the pdf and report the total number
The second creates a form field in the far corner of the first page and moves there.
The third jumps to each link found by creating a form field just to the left of the link and zooms in so it can be selected by a “mouse click” from the keyboard macro recorder
The forth deletes the form field
The keyboard macro recorder runs javascript 2 and then 3 then clicks on the link just to the right of the middle of the screen and uses keys to get to the advanced editing to get to edit the hyperlink .
The hyperlink is then copied to excel where it is converted using string functions to the needed javascript text to be copied back.
To the acrobat file into a java script (after deleting the hyperlink)
Rinse/lather/repeat
I have been able to convert about 150 links an hour.
Better then hand typing, but not like having java access to the links.

I didn't intend to say you must close the X box after each
apply. It's OK to apply one change and go to another item before
closing the dialogue. It's the OK button that messes up sometimes.
Even when you hit the Apply button for a very large selection
of topics, the OK button sometimes will undo the apply, not
necessarily for all selected topics. Even when you've made just one
batch change.
I think it's because OK tries to re-set all settings (that's
why it takes forever), but does not correctly pick up the mass
changes previously applied. Or maybe it takes forever because it
can't find the new info and defaults to the existing settings.
A pain in the butt when you're trying to apply a stylesheet
to a very large number of topics. Please don't ask me to define "a
large number."
Maybe it's a space limit in RH, similar to the space limit
for the number of characters in a batch of file names you want to
import. Or maybe the OK button doesn't look in the right places.

Why Are My Text Align Buttons Grayed Out?

My users are unable to center text when edited pages in CS3 and CS4. The standard paragraph alignment buttons are grayed out.
All the users of my site have Admin role, and I have set up the role to allow unrestricted editing. And "Allow Users to Apply Styles"... At screenshot of some of my settings is attached. I don't see why Contribute is not allowing this basic element to work.

I experienced the very same issue, but found an interesting quick-fix that worked for us.
Several of my webpage content managers reported that they could not change the text alignment in pages created using Dreamweaver nested templates. We use nested editable regions in order to restrict portions of the pages (i.e. banners and navigation menus) from being edited.
I found that Contribute CS4 could realign text in some parts of the affected pages, but not others.
Further exam revealed that Contribute could change the alignment on any text that was inside a table on those pages. If I inserted a table and then cut-n-pasted the problem text into the table, the text lost its style/formatting, but it could then have its alignment changed.
Any text not inside a table could not have the alignment changed by Contribute and changing its style/formatting made no difference.
One note though: It was interesting that after pasting the text into a table, if I selected a chunk of text, the alignment buttons grayed out again. However, if I simply clicked on the line of text (did not select it), the buttons remained active and the text alignment could be changed.
I don't know why it is happening. The nested regions were working fine, or so I thought, until recently.
The above is a quick-fix and got my page content managers back online, but I'm still searching for a long-term solution if anyone has one.

OIC - "Paysheets Button" - Grayed out

I am using the following navigation to view all the "Payment Batches" . Once I query this form , the "Paysheets button" is grayed out for my login . If i use other login, it works.I would like to have it enabled for my login name too.
I am not sure which profile option or some set up is missing for my login.
Any suggestions?

The article Lawrence Finch provided you isnt ONLY for users whose WiFi address is missing. It says you MAY see the following but you can still follow the steps provided.

Join Button Grayed Out

My iPad connects with no problem at home on my Time Capsule and Airport Extreme Routers. At my office, I can't even find out if it will connect or not, because when I select the network to join it, as soon as I type in a password, the JOIN button grays out making it impossible to connect. On hold now with Apple for 20 minutes and they are scratching their heads. Not a good sign for a device I am otherwise crazy about. Anyone else got this issue? For what its worth, its a Linksys Router at the office.

Oh heck, nevermind. Turns out I was entering the wrong password. DOH! Nothing to see here, move along.

Hi Kumar,
The status will become Red and Active/Inactive is disable due to Extract structure activated but data source is not maintained. This happens once you change the extract structure to Include additional fields. Please do the below step:
in LBWE, Click on Data source (Technical name of your data source beside maintainance) and you will get maintainance screen, change if you want some thing or else leave as it is and save, Now the status for data source in LBWE will become yellow and activate/deactivate will enable.

Cannot Approve Journal Batch (Button grayed out in More Actions screen)

Cannot Approve Journal Batch (Button grayed out in More Actions screen)
The Journal Batch Approval notification goes to one or more approvers but when any approver opens the journal and tries to approve, the approve batch button is greyed out and nobody can approve the Journal batch. The approver has every authority amount and other wise.
Any idea what might be wrong? Do I need to setup something in Preference pages etc.,?

Are you looking at the Workflow Notifications page or GL page. Please give me the navigation used to reach the page. Typically in workflow notification details page, the Response buttons are either displayed or hidden based on whether the notification has a Result Type attached or not. I don't think they are greyed out based on any rule.
Workflow notifications does not check the approval authority by itself. Ann appropriate workflow notification with right content and result type should be sent based on the approval authority checked in a previous function activity.
