Editing a pdf form that I created. Adding header, currently the header only appears on page 1 of a 3 page pdf form.  I want it to appear on each page.  I am receiving the error msg "do not have sufficient permissions to perform this task"

In Adobe Acrobat use a Action for this.

I created a custom security extension following the steps listed in the Readme_Security Extension Sample. It works fine if I login as the user that is specified AdminConfiguration section of the rsreportserver.config file but if I
log in as another user, I get this error: User '' does not have required permissions. Verify that sufficient permissions have been granted and Windows User Account Control (UAC) restrictions have been addressed.  I've added the user to both System Administrator
and System User roles to try to get it to work but still no luck.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
    Thanks.

    Hi MetronM,
The issue is due to that user have no permission to access the report server. In report manager, Reporting Services includes predefined roles that we can assign to users and groups to provide immediate access to a report server. Each role defines a collection
    of related tasks.
You can refer to the following steps to assign corresponding role to the user.
    Open report manager.
    Click “Folder Setting” button.
    Click “New Role Assignment” icon.
Type the user name and select the corresponding role.
There is an article about Granting Permissions on a Native Mode Report Server, you can refer to it.

  • I have created a slide show with pictures and music in Iphoto and when I try export it I get Error You do not have sufficient permission for this operation.

I have created a slide show with pictures and music in Iphoto and when I try export it I get Error You do not have sufficient permission for this operation.  Try to export to an external HD attached, all help would be gratefully received

Have you ever successfully saved anything to that external drive? My first two thoughts are that the drive isn't formatted for the Mac or that you don't have rights to save to the drive.

  • Importing data from Excel to generate "filled" PDF form that was created in Designer

    Hi there
I have a form that was created in Designer.  The data that  I need to import is all in a Excel spreadsheet with the same fields as the form.
Is it possible to import all the data so that it generates a printed PDF with the data on each line of excel?
    For example:
    If my excel file shows:
First Name      Last Name     Phone Number        UserID
    John               Doe               416-777-9970           johndoe997
    Mike               Rogers           905-887-3398          mikerogers997
In this example I would like to generate a PDF form for John and for Mike, each with their details filled out on the form based on the data in the excel sheet
    Thanks in advance!

Assuming you have Adobe Acrobat 11:

  • Why can't i see the information entered into a PDF form that was created?

I have created a fillable form and when the individuals complete the form and send it back, it shows blank until you click in each box, but you can't print it off with all of their information as it doesn't show on the print?  Did i do something wrong when i created it?

This is typically an issue when a person uses a non-Acrobat product (Preview on the Mac or NitroPDF on Windows, for instance) to fill out the PDF form.
Somewhere at the beginning of your form, let the users know they must use Adobe's free Reader or one of their commercial products: Acrobat Standard (for education) or Acrobat Pro to complete the form. That, or just convert it to a web form, with instructions for them to print each page as they move along.
There could be a different reason, but this is the most common.
    I hope that helps,
    Brian

  • How do I edit a PDF file that was created with Acrobat 6

I was given a PDF catalog file from one of my manufactures to use on my web  site, I was told that I need to edit the file and take out the last page which  is for my eyes only not the public, but the way they instructed me to do so has  not worked, so does anybody have an idea on how to do this?
Also they have tried to  send me a corrected file with the last page removed but the file size is to big  to be sent through email. Any help would be great. Thank You

dgnvarsitydad I think you are posting in the wrong thread.

Ok thank you I will try this but how will I know if there is a security set and also my mistake what I downloaded was Acrobat X Pro which is $200 from Adobe's web site. I am not very familiar with Acrobat but I will give it a try thank you again. Gary
To see if there is security, open the document, go to File>Properties>Security. It will tell you what is allowed and what is not allowed.
Keep in mind that Acrobat Pro is not $200 unless you have a qualifying older version to upgrade from. If not, it's more like $449.

  • HT2404 After installing Mountain Lion, I get a message that speechsynthesisserver.app had an error and could not be installed. What does this mean? Also my mouse does not scroll up/down as it did before.

What is speechsynthesisserver.app?  Twice I received a message from Mountain Lion that this could not be installed due to an error.  Is this significant?

Regarding the scrolling, SYSTEM PREFERENCES>TRACKPAD>SCROLL & ZOOM, uncheck 'Scroll direction: natural.
    Ciao.

  • When I open Firefox it says that Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. And that I may not have the permissions to access this item.

There is only one user profile on the computer which is obviously administrator and the file that it says can't be accessed doesn't actually have a pathway in the section.
I have un-installed all java programs completely off the computer as well as Mozilla then restarted and installed everything again with the same problem coming up
The missing file is in a location that doesn't exist in the JRE folder.
    \java\jre6\lib\deploy\..\..\..\..\bin\jqsnotify.exe

I would expect wording related to connection, but see

  • Unable to download firefox 4.0, getting a message saying that I do not have sufficient privilages to some of the items.

Tried to replace my firefox with 4.0, but unable to do so.
Error message saying" I do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items."

If you get an error message that you do not have sufficient permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
    * Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.

  • Creating a pdf form that with document assembly = allowed

I am having trouble creating a print and mail pdf form that i can combine with other pdf documents. I have created a form in live cycle designer. when i try and combine it with other documents it says that the form i have created is protected and cannot be used for this command. I have not explicitly put any security on the form. I have simply created the form and saved it as a pdf. when i open the form with adobe acrobat pro and check the document properties it is always set to "document assembly = not allowed" how do i change this? i have experimented with the security settings and even using a password and allowing changes to the document but nothing seems to change the "document assembly = not allowed" i have adobe acrobat 7.0 professional with Live Cycle Designer. Please Help!

    Brian,
PDF Files made with Acrobat are based on postscript.
PDF Files made with LiveCycle Designer are based on XML and are essentially wrapped in a PDF. Once modified in LiveCycle Designer, you can no longer edit the file directly in Acrobat.
They do not share the same base file type and can not be combined into a single PDF using Acrobat version 7.
One of the new features of Acrobat version 8 - is called packages. Packages allow you to combine files of different types (acrobat and designer) as well as documents with different security settings (also not previously allowed). Each file in the package maintains it's independent identity and settings, wrapped in a new pdf file.
Recommended solution: Upgrade to Acrobat 8 Professional, get the new version of designer, and the ability to use packages.
    Hope this helps.

  • Need to edit a form that was created by someone else.

Hello, I have to edit a form that was created by someone else. I made numerous changes to the text and repositioned a lot of the items, and it appeared fine on my computer. However, when I open it on my PC and other systems, the fonts are substituting and I'm getting strange characters where I changed the text. I tried embedding the fonts with the Preflight embed fonts, but it is still messed up. My client is anxious...not sure what else to check. Any help would be appreciated!

You don't need to re-do the fields. If you create a new version of the PDF
file just open the old one and use the Replace Pages command to insert the
pages from the new version over the old ones. This will give you a new
version of the file, with the existing form fields still in tact. Of
course, you might need to adjust their location and/or size, but at least
you won't have to start all over again...

  • Is there a format for at PDF form that can be filled out, saved locally and edited continually afterwards?

    hello
on the html-based form http://www.samtaleterapi.com/oversigter/psykoterapi.html there isnt the functionality i want
it can only be filled out and printed
what i want is a form that can be filled out, saved locally on people's own computers, and  and that the local copy can be edited and saved anew continually
    can PDF do this?
can the end users edit and save the form with no other program than adobe reader?
if so, is this a specific format of PDF?
and if so, how do i create it?
    thanks
    rasmus

You can indeed create a PDF form that can be opened, filled out and saved by users of Adobe Reader. It simply requires one of the later versions of Adobe Acrobat. It has a function to enable this ability in PDF's.
The one down side is that there are usage limits (how many times form data can be collected) that you would want to familiarize yourself with in advance to be sure you don't violate the EULA. Exactly how thos limitations work are up to interpretation...

  • Is there a way to create a PDF form that ANYONE can fill out and SAVE with their content?

Is there a way to create a PDF form that ANYONE can fill out and SAVE with their content? By anyone, I mean someone who can download and use the free Adobe Reader, on either a Mac or PC. I have Acrobat Pro, and would like to be able to create forms that can not only be filled out and printed, but saved and emailed, which is not an option with the forms I have created to date. They can be filled out, but not saved, with Adobe Reader.
    TIA,
    Nancy

To do what Dave indicated you need to do, it depends on what version of Acrobat you have:
Acrobat 8: Advanced > Enable Usage Rights in Adobe Reader
Acrobat 9: Advanced > Extend Features in Adobe Reader
Acrobat 10: File > Save As > Reader Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features
Acrobat 11: File > Save as Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools (includes form fill-in & save)
I wonder what it will be next time?

  • Is there a way to create an export button on a pdf form that will send form info into ongoing excel spreadsheet?

I'm trying to see if there is a way to create a submit button on my pdf form that will export the form data into a saved (ongoing) excel spreadsheet. The end result i'm hoping for would be a spreadsheet that lists all the information i receive from each form.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,

Not really. But you can combine the data from multiple forms into a single (new) spreadsheet via Tools - Forms - More Form Options - Merge Data Files into Spreadsheet...

I have Adobe Creative Cloud.  How do I edit a PDF form I created at work and e-mailed to my home tablet?

    Hi Val,
I see! Please see this thread: Is FormsCentral part of the Creative Cloud?
Creative Cloud doesn't include FormsCentral, which is why you're being prompted to upgrade. (An Acrobat Pro subscription, on the other hand, does include FormsCentral.)
