Editing photos in PhotoshopCC crashes my internet connection

While simply editing photos in PhotshopCC my internet connection crashes and other web based services such as Google Drive and iCloud stop functioning. Is there anyway to prevent Photoshop CC from dominating my network? I do not use Behance and really want to work with CC offline while still being online for other functions including email.

Thank you Chris, I am new to the software and working to learn the program. Over the past 18 months I have spent many weeks learning from Photoshop Courses offered on Creative Live as well as Adobe's offerings.
This problem only ocured while running Photoshop cc. I have been useing Lightroom and PSElements prior to steping into Photoshop. Lightroom had not been a problem.
I am not experiencing the troubles now that I removed all checked boxes in Sync settings. I will work in this manner for a few more days and report if I encounter the phenomenon again. I have a difficult time marking this off to the mysteries of digital life.

Turning On Airplay Mirroring on iPad 2 crashes router Internet connection

Using the new Apple TV 2 firmware 4.4 in combination with iPad 2 (iOS 5).
Apple TV 2 connected to Linksys E4200 router via Ethernet cable. I can stream movies over the network (USB-HDD
connected to router with router built in UPnP AV server). Samsung Series 6000 Smart TV.
- AirPlay working great from iPad 2 to Apple TV and everything else iOS 5 is also no issue.
BUT
When I turn On Airplay mirroring on the iPad 2 I can see the blue bar on top of the screen
indicating mirroring is On but only after a few seconds the blue bar disappears and the Internet
connection is gone for all users on my network.
I have to go in the router settings and reboot router in order to establish Internet access again..
I've gone through this 5 or 6 times now and I can single out the mirroring for the router crash.
Mirroring has not worked once.
Weird! Anybody?

It's was a router QOS setting.
Steps:
1. Login to your router
2. Click on Application and Gaming
3. Click on QOS
4. Disable WMM Support
5. Done

Photo Places are marked without internet connection

Hi there.
I was recently on vacation abroad and turned off all my internet connection services. Mobile Data, Roaming etc.
As i now looked into my Mobile Photo app all places where i took the pictures are marked. Now i am afraid, that i'll be charged with the costs for the abroad internet services.
How is it possible that Photo.app recognizes my position only with a deviation of a few meters when my mobile internet services where all turned off?

The GPS chip uses an "assist" from WiFi & cellular tower location to speed up determining your location, but does not need either to determine your location.

ITunes crashes my internet connection almost every time I launch it

since my last upgrading to iTunes 10.1.2, (I did not do it for a long while), I am experiencing severe disconnections from the internet. These disconnections do not usually occur at the moment of the lauching, but a little bit later, when I am looking for a specific tune. The application seems freeze during its searching, then I lose my internet connection. It becomes not possible to retrieve the connection once lost, apart from restarting the computer. It is extremely frustrating. This occurs 3 times out of 4... Are some people experiencing the same problems as me, and will the developers do something?
I am connected to a Neuf-SFR box router by the way of an Hercules Wifi key. I tried to remove the key and plug it again after the problem occurs, but nothing happened.

Just for info, I just discovered the long long thread about the blank page instead of the iTunes store screen (cf http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2743839&tstart=0 ): I had the same trouble, that was the reason why I decided to upgrade to the last release of itunes. The end being, that now the goody good screen appears like before, but that the new release cuts my internet connection a few time after I've launched it.

IChat crashing my internet connection?

This is a pretty strange one. If I try to do an audio or a video chat, I get the typical "Failed to respond" message. More than that, though, my internet connection appears to break for about 45 seconds after this happens. I can't connect to any websites, Skype logs out, any downloads pause, etc. For whatever reason, trying to initiate an audio or video conference makes the internet connection stop working temporarily. Am I missing something?

After some reading, I came upon this link " http://www.ralphjohnsuk.dsl.pipex.com/page4.html#_text " and ... the white box part at the bottom of the page helped so very much ( Thank you ) . Now the MacBook Pro can audio and video chat with the Apple test sites you had noted. The thing is, now I can't see her being online from my PowerBook ( using iChat 2.x) while connected to the same router ( neither can she see me being online) . I really am not worried about this, since when travelling abroad, I would be connected to the internet through an airport wireless anyway (ie. we would be using two different routers for connecting to the internet, at least her router works for her side of the connection) . Do you think I could be reassure that when I am on the other side of the water ( USA ) I then could see her being signed on in my iChat . Thank you again for all your time and help.

Powerbook: erratic startup, laboured noises & crashes with internet connect

Any advice would be greatly appreciated:
I have a Powerbook G4 and I have been running OSX (10.4.3) on it for a while now and I haven't had trouble until recently.
I have a suspicion my internet connection is somehow confliciting with the operating system. I don't know if this is a powerbook or a tiger problem.
Basically I was busy attaching a file to an email when the computer went into this strange dazed mode of being unable to do anything. It seemed to have frozen. I couldn't force quit Mail (or any application) so I shut down the powerbook using the power button on the keyboard.
When loading up again it took much longer to boot up. Sometimes it never got passed the twirling circle of lines at startup.
When the powerbook did load up it went through a few stages of blue screens - sometimes it even went into a second round of loading up before going into the OS.
When it did boot up I found that when connecting to the internet it immediately froze.
The computer is also making a strange repetitive, laboured noise.
It is erratic - booting up sometimes and other times struggling for so long that I have to shut it down by means of the power button.
The only two things I have done differently recently are:
1) enabled my bluetooth and had some files transfered from two different mobile phones and;
2) connected a stranger's iPod to my mac - which hasn't been connected to my computer before
Not sure if any of these could have caused such discontent with my otherwise trusty Powerbook?
Is this the end?

This is the salient fact; all else is just details. First make sure there is no disc in your optical drive. If that drive is empty, what you are left with is a classic signal of hard drive mechanical failure. Immediately, before you do anything else, get to work copying all the important un-backed-up data on the hard drive to other storage media. You may not make it all the way through this process before the drive dies entirely, so identify the highest priority files before you begin, and back them up first. There's no telling whether your hard drive will last another month, week, day, hour, or minute, so don't put this off. It will go fastest and most easily if you back your files up to an external FireWire hard drive, so if you don't have one already, this may be a very good time to buy one.
Hard drives are mechanical devices, and sometimes they just fail. You probably did nothing at all to cause the failure, and it certainly had nothing to do with the internet.
Replacing the hard drive in a Powerbook is an easy ten-minute procedure, for which instructions are printed right in your Powerbook G4 Getting Started user's manual. Replacement drives are available from scores of online vendors and bricks-and-mortar retailers, in capacities from 20-30GB up to 160GB and at prices from about $65 to more than $200USD. $100 gets you the pick of many midrange, midspeed, midpriced drives. I can't suggest where you might want to shop in the UK.

Macbook crashes when internet connection is lost from cable modem

for the last couple of weeks Comcast internet has been failing at almost the same time every day - around 10am. i have spoken with them and they know they have a major problem in the area. the issue i have is that my MacBook Pro, when the internet goes down, completely crashes shutting itself down & restarting with that multi-language message that my 'computer has had a problem.' i have run every diagnostic, Disk Utility Repair, deleted applications, used Wifi, used ethernet, on and on and on...
most of the time, i cannot even restart the MacBook. if i disconnect ethernet or turn off WiFi - no problem. it goes through the startup flawlessly.
one other strange thing happening is i have two websites that will never completely load. no problem on the iPad or iPhone 6, only the MacBook. but these websites don't have to be open when the crash happens.
any ideas? i am running Yosemite 10.10.1. oh, and it happens when i am running Safari, Chrome or Foxfire, though it seems to happen a lot more since the last Safari update. thanks...

OK, for sake of argument:
1. Quit Safari
2. Check the ownership and permissions of Home -> Library -> Safari folder and write those down (click once on the folder and select Get Info from the File menu, and make sure the triangle is dropped down on Ownership and Permissions so all the privileges are shown).
3. Drag Home -> Library -> Safari to the desktop
4. Reopen Safari
See if the issue reproduces itself. If the issue doesn't reproduce itself, then it is something corrupt in the Safari info for your user. If it does reproduce itself, something is wrong with your user level internet settings or possibly Corefoundation settings which Safari is sensitive to.
You can always quit Safari and move back that folder to where it came from and make sure the permissions are retained.

Time Capsule crashing daily: internet connection loss

I recently bought a 1 TB Time Capsule and started using it as the primary router in the house. My wife and I have laptops (2006 MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo, MacBook Pro Unibody, Windows laptop) that use the connection.
What would happen is that my laptop (2006 MacBook Pro) and my Windows laptop would lose connection to the internet, but my wife's (Unibody MacBook Pro) would stay connected for awhile before losing the connection.
The Time Capsule, when it would get into this state, would show a green light. I can connect to the Time Capsule's wireless network ok, but I wouldn't be able to connect to the internet. When I try using the AirPort Utility, it can detect the Time Capsule, but it wouldn't be able to fetch the settings (the progress circle would spin endlessly).
If I unplug and plug the power cord back in, it works again, but I've had to do this once/twice a day. I shouldn't have to do this, though - does anyone have this problem? Any solutions?
I'm on the latest firmware (7.4.1).

Same problem here. Had to restart (tearing out the powercord...) the time capsule and my Airport Express everyday.
Just went back to 7.3.2. Apple has released major ******** with 7.4.1...

Crashing My Internet Connection

When I hook up my camera to import pictures something is making my modem crash. Never had this problem with iPhoto before.

Well, whatever you do, don’t swamp us with too much information.
Is this a USB modem? Have you tried using a USB Card reader instead of your camera? Tried moving to different ports on the Mac? Anything else you can add?

Every time I play certain YouTube videos, it doesn't stream and it briefly crashes my internet connection. The only videos that play are the ones with advertisements behind them. I installed the latest Quicktime and Adobe Flash Player updates. Fix this?

Can anyone find a way to fix this? If not, then I'll have to send my MacBook Pro to the nearest Apple Store.

I lose my internet connection when i sync iTunes and ATV. Please help

Ive just bought a new Apple TV and I am trying to stream TV shows and movies from my iMac via the wireless network.
The ATV found the right network instantly and I wrote in the password. Ive paired the iMac iTunes and ATV and I can see all the episodes and movies on my TV.
When I want to start to watch any of it, it loses its connection to the router/network. And so does the iMac. I havent had any trouble with the iMacs connection to the network until now. If Im not trying to watch anything on my TV, the internet is fine on both the ATV and iTunes.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Ive tried to fix the DHCP in my router settings, but im not even sure what that means, let alone if it helps When i lose the internet, I can still see the network name, but when I try to connect, it says that connection timeout.
I have a D-Link DI 524 router.

EDIT: If I exit iTunes my internet connection is fine. As soon as I start it and iTunes starts to sync with ATV, I lose the internet. Anyone know why and how I can fix it?
I forgot to add that WAN settings in my router says that I have Dynamic IP Address.

Okay.. When i stop the syncing between the ATV and itunes, I can watch a movie/TV-show for about 30 seconds, then the network will timeout.
So i know the atv is working. I have a feeling its the router that is too old? I will try to upgrade its firmware tomorrow, as i was told i couldnt to this when connected to wireless?

Youtube is crashing my Internet.

Flash Player version 10.1.102.64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users. However, this Flash version won't work for many videos on Facebook, YouTube and other sites. Adobe's latest version, 10.2.x or later, is only for Intel Macs. Adobe will not provide a newer Flash version for PPC Macs.
The message requesting that you download Adobe Flash Player takes you to Flash Player requiring an Intel processor. Doesn't work on a PowerPC processor. I found a hack, installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

Is possible to transfer photos from a macbook pro to an iphone 5 without itunes or an internet connection? I'm a pro photographer and I need to transfer photos from my camera, edit them, copy photos to my iphone and send via 4G network to an editor. I will be in a location without internet access and my old computer itunes wont sync with my new iphone 5. I can't upgrade the computer right now because I need some of the old software. Thanks.

Internet Connect crash/Software Update won't open

I have a 500mhz G3 slot loading iMac running 10.3.9
About 2 weeks ago, after waking FrankenMac up from sleep mode, I noticed the Airport status symbol failed to appear in the menu bar (next to the volume/date&time etc).
Looking into my Network settings revealed that I was indeed still connected to the internet, via my Airport, all systems go. However, I noticed that "show airport status in menu bar" was unchecked, so I checked the box. Which apparently did jack squat b/c there's still no icon.
For the last couple weeks, as long as I've been connected to the internet, I could really give a flying flip about whether the airport status icon is there or not. I mean, seriously. I know this computer is a little old so why rock the boat on something trivial?
Until today. Today I was determined to figure out where the icon is, why it went away and if there are any other underlying problems.
I started first with Internet connect. Applications->Internet Connect, clicked on the purple IC button, only to have it launch in the dock, bounce once, then quit.

I attempted to open Software Update next to see if there was something critical (ha!) I might be missing. Apple menu->software update and it was a repeat performance of Internet Connect, except this time I wouldn't even get so much as the Software Update icon in the dock. The dock would move everything to the left, as if it was going to open, then....nothing.
*Software update was working as of 6/14*, when I updated (perhaps foolishly) to Quicktime 7.5.

This ridiculously long post boils down to 2 questions, really.
• Any ideas why Internet Connect and Software Update won't open and how to fix?
• Where in the world is my Airport status icon? (not that it matters since I'm connected to the internet, but doggone it!)
I've run Disk Utility, repaired permissions and the HD checks out fine. I'm just at a loss (not surprising, given my limited amount of fix-it-yerself knowledge)
Should I just put up, shut up and be grateful that these problems, while aggravating, aren't majorly disrupting my life?

PSE-8 crash with loss of internet connection

PSE crashed when I temporarily lost an internet connection. Now, when I try to restart PSE (even after rebooting the computer and modem), the PSE welcome screen appears and says "gathering user data" but it never completes that task. If I click on "Organize" or "Edit" from the main menu while it is supposedly gathering data, I receive a message that PSE has crashed and a trouble ticket will be sent to customer support. Is this something I can fix from my end?
