Editor in PSE not working

Have just installed PSE 8 onto a new computor which has Windows 7, and can not open the Editor function. Just comes up with Elements Editor has stopped working when you attempt to open it. Has anyone got a solution.

There are many reasons why the PSE Editor might not getting launched or crashes. Here are some steps you can take to try to fix the problem. Even if you think you’ve tried some of these before, try them again, precisely as described here:
1.      Delete the Editor’s preferences:
Start PSE to get to the Welcome screen. Hold down the Ctrl, Alt, and Shift keys and click Edit. Keep holding down the keys until you see a window asking “Delete the Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings File?” Click Yes. (Note that this does not delete the Organizer’s settings.)
2.      Change the default printer, as described in these tech notes:

3.      If you have a Microsoft pointing device, the Microsoft Intellipoint driver software may be conflicting with the Editor. Try uninstalling it and rebooting. (Your device may operate without the software.)

Visual editor JSF rendering not working

Hi,
I'm trialing the 10.1.0.3EA version of JDeveloper and I can't seem to get the JSF rendering working in the visual editor. I thought that perhaps I'd changed some settings or something so I completely uninstalled and then reinstalled JDeveloper. After the install I created a new application using the default web tech. scope, created default business components from the order and order_items tables in the oe schema, opened the JSF navigation, added a page and tried to drag and drop a read only table onto the page. Instead of the rendering I am getting a hierarchical view of tags with just the tag names, i'm not even getting any of the binding information shown, other than in the property inspector. I'v checked to make sure that the JSP tag libraries in the project settings all have "Execute tags in JSP Visual Editor" checked and in the preferences I have made sure that "Show JSP Tag Names Only" is unchecked. Does this functionality not work by default from the install or am I missing something?

Export to PSE Not working

When I had LR 1.4, and exported to an external editor, it gave me Photoshop Elements 6.0 as the editor. Since then, I've upgraded to 2.1, and now when I go to export, editing in PSE 6 is no longer listed as an option. How did I lose that, and how do I get it back?

2.1 wants PSCS3 (10.0.1) or higher for its new edit in Photoshop functions. You can list PSE as an alternate editor in preferences and it should work as before.

Javascript editor in Joomla not working on OS X server (X.4.8)

Hello! I'm recently begun to retool my school's web presence from static pages to a CMS. We're using Joomla.
To get started, I installed the MAMP Apache/MySQL/PHP environment on my iMac and started building.
Happy with the results, I decided to start working on a spare server.
I got PHP and MySQL upgraded on the server to versions 5.2.0 and 5.0.27, respectively.
Now, Joomla has the TinyMCE text editor in it. This works great in my MAMP setup. But, when working on OS X server, when I try to, say, switch the editor to HTML mode, the editing window pops open momentarily, then closes. THEN, Firefox asks me if I'd like to download a file. The file turns out to be the HTML that should make the popped-up HTML editor.
I also installed WordPress. WordPress runs great. However, like in Joomla, when I use the editor, Firefox doesn't open the window as expected, but prompts me to download an HTML file.
I'm using the very same browsers that I successfully use in my MAMP setup. So I can't believe it's a browser setting.
Is there something in OS X server that needs to be tweaked? Hopefully someone out there can make some sense of how I'm explaining this. It's driving me crazy.

No need for wild guesses.
If a page/file is served as you would expect it from one server, but results in a "download request" on another server, then it's most likely a MIME Type issue.
Don't know what Joomla tries to load, but if you compare MIME types on both your servers you should find the problem.

The video editor is not working

I have a nokia 701 with symbian belle on it and the video editor program is not working I searched for a solution on the internet and its written that I just can open the video and edit it but it didn't work with me and thier is no edit option on the video, I also tried to uninstall the program to install it again but the program is protected and can't be uninstalled.
so I came here with hope to find a solution to my problem so please help me.

have you recently upgraded to Belle Feature Pack 2? Because the video editor has moved to the Gallery itself. otherwise, check if there are any firmware updates available for your device, and update to the latest version offered.
failing that, you can try re-installing your current firmware thru Nokia Suite and if that doesn't work, then you may need to perform a three-finger hard reset. please make a backup of all personal data first as this reset wipes everything.

UFT 11.53 - toggle between keyword view and editor not working

Hello,
I have installed the enterprise version of UFT 11.53. I have patched it with Patch # 3 (00082) and Patch # 4 (00106) in order to get Chome v 37 support. Now when I try to toggle between keyword View and editor, it is not working. The editor is fine. The Keyword just set frozen and will not allow me to do anything other than, change it back to the editor
see when I click the toggle button...its frozen...see the toggle button is down.
It's so annoying. I'm going to have to uninstall it again.
Please help, if you know what's going on

Ctrl+Z fuctianlity is not working in oracle 10g Form

Edit_TextItem to invoke Text Editor
When i using CTRL+Z to undo things in editor it is not working but it works when i used Form6i.

Editor option is not opening for table object

Hi Experts,
I have installed OWB 11.1 on my table machine. The strange thing what i found out that, the 'open editor 'option of Table is not opening for oracle module in the design centre.for other object (Like mapping ..etc) 'Open Editor' option is working fine.I have an project where there are frequent changes in the table structure , but as the open editor option is not working fine. i have to totally re-import mordified table . Do anyone having any idea how to slove this problem.

Are you by any chance trying to run OWB on a 64 bit client? I have seen similar problems to what you are describing when trying to run OWB on 64 bit Windows. If this is the case you should try to use a 32 bit client machine

PSE 11- FX and Graphics buttons not working under Expert Editor Mode

Under 'FX' in Expert Editor mode, the Filters, Styles and Effects tabs do not work, and similarly under "Graphics" the shapes and text tabs do not work. I have looked at C:\Programmes\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 11\Plug-Ins\Panels and find the 'Panels' folder is empty, which suggests this is a possible cause?? EDitor and Organiser are otherwise (at long last after Organiser faults rectified) now working fine. PSE 11 is running under Windows XP Service Pack 3. Any suggestions please ??

Thank you Jon; I see what you mean about creating an FX layer and by double clicking I can bring up the adjustments. Problem is when I go into Expert Editor mode, at the bottom right side of screen are five 'buttons' - Layers, Effects, Graphics, Favourites and More. When I click Layers, I get the Layers Pane up on right hand side and it works fine as I can create different layers etc, however when I press 'FX' I bring up a plain grey panel with three headings at the top of it; Filters, Styles and Effects - these do absolutely nothing, even if I am working on an FX layer and I am guessing something has gone missing or been corrupted.
The 'Graphics' button now works (I told it to search Windows>Graphics, which I read in another post)

PSE 7 Editor Not Working

My editor is not working. When I try to open, window comes up inside editor screen and says "Adobe Photoshop Editor has Stopped Working" This has never happened and the organizer is still working. Help someone!!!

The editor prefs often get corrupted. You may need to rebuild the editor preferences to resolve any conflicts.
Hold down the Ctrl+Shift+Alt keys and simultaneously click on the Edit button on the welcome screen. Release the three keys and look behind the welcome screen by closing it.
You should see a pop up box with the words: Delete Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings File?
Click on Yes
Close down Elements and re-open it in the normal way - then wait whilst it rebuilds the preferences.

Have you checked whether you have folder for PSE Organizer? It is normally at this location in Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1:
<C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 12 Organizer>
If the folder is there then try double-clicking on the file called: PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe
If the folder isn't there at all then you need to re-install the package again using your original disks or from download from Adobe website. <Download Photoshop Elements products | 13, 12, 11, 10>

PSE 8 - Photomerge Panorama not working?

Trial version (is Panorama disabled in trial?), XP, default preferences
File->New->Photomerge Panorama and select either 2 open files or 2 files off disk. Tried Auto reposition, manual , and in both cases, the program thinks for a couple seconds and then shows me an empty file on screen (checkerboard) entitled Untitled_Panorama1.
Tried a series of different photos, and have done this before in PSE7 with no trouble, so this is puzzling.
Is this a bug?

John, I want to add some other information for you concenring this problem with Photomerge Panorama in PSE 8 that you have been looking into, as I too get the error message you detailed in your earlier comments on this problem. I tried your solution (saving for the web) and found that it did work but, of course, it is a pain having to do this workaround. Then, quite by chance I found that Photomerge Panorama was working correctly and so I tried several files, some of which had not worked before!
Tonight, the old problem returned and I have been able to replicate both the problem and the solution. If I have the Organiser open (which I must) but not the Editor, then it works fine. If I then try to do another panorama with new files, then it usually throws up the error message and fails to work. Any further attempts with the image files (or previous ones that have worked) also fail, ending with the error message. However, if I close the application completely, and then reopen it, the same files will work perfectly with Photomerge Panorama.
Maybe this throws some new light on the cause for you? (and hopefully Adobe if they read this posting). Is it a memory problem? (I have 1 GB of RAM)
It is certainly very odd.
On another matter, but kind of memory/processor related, although I doubt if you will remember this, but last year when PSE 7 was announced but before it was available, I queried the processor spec moving up to requiring a 2GHz processor (it was a huge leap in spec from previously required processors and also not a size much then available for PC Notebook users!
You kindly advised that you thought it was more a case of "sloppy marketing" which seemed to be borne out by some later advice that I received and sent you and others from Adobe Technical suppoort. Recently, when I saw that PSE 8 required a 1.6 GHz or faster processor (the website spec sheet) I was pleased and thoughtful! Today, my purchased copy of PSE8 arrived. (I have been using a free trial version). Guess what, on the box the processor specification is "2 GHz or faster" So now we have either another case of "sloppy marketing" or perhaps, it DOES need 2 GHz and maybe this is the problem/part of the problem with Photomerge Panaroma not functioning correctly/consistently?
Maybe though, it IS just a bug and one that I really hope that Adobe can address and rectify AND thsat we don't have to wait until PSE 9. That would be very, very poor.
How do you report bugs/possible bugs to Adobe or will you further report the issue, assuming that you can replicate what I have found with Photomerge Panorama?

Options -> Text Editor -> C/C++ missing intellisense entry. Intellisense not working. Solutions to turn options for the editor off and on are not working. The intellisense entry is present for other languages,
such as C#, but not C/C++.
By not working, I mean the intellisense right click menu items are grayed out, and intellisense files are not produced.

Based on your issue, could you please share me a screen shot about the intellisense right click menu items are grayed out?
Generally, I know that it is default that we can enable the intellisense for C/C++ by going to the TOOLS->Options -> Text Editor -> C/C++ ->Advanced-> IntelliSense like the following screen shot.
So please try to check if you set Disable Intellisense property as False in the VS IDE.

This content editor webpart not working in sharepoint page. Once I checked out to the page then chart is working. When i checkedin function not get called. How to fix this?

In SharePoint 2013, sp.js and sp.runtime.js does not load on the page in published mode. You need to explicitly load these files. You can check using IE developer tools in the Script section that in published mode these files are missing.
In order to fix this issue explictly refer these two js files on your page.

Textarea with HTML editor is not working

Hi all,
This is producing me a real headache.
I created the simplest application in the world with one Textarea with HTML editor, and the editor control does not show the usual tool bar for fonts, color, alignment, etc. Just a ordinary textarea.
Moreover, this was working before... I moved to another location in my work (me, not the server). Yes, I thought about the Internet Explorer, but Firefox has the same issue.
So any idea I can try to make this work?
I have another applications already in production with the same issue.
Need help!!!!!!!!!

I would go and integrate FCKEDITOR (http://www.fckeditor.net/ ) into your application.
Here are instructions on how to achieve this (sorry but only in German):

It basically means:
1) copying the files from fckeditor under the /images directory
(you can use the instructions here: http://daust.blogspot.com/2006/03/where-are-images-of-application.html)
2) creating two shortcuts INCLUDE_EDITOR_SCRIPTS and EDITOR
3) placing the shortcut INCLUDE_EDITOR_SCRIPTS into the page html header and
4) placing the shortcut EDITOR into the post element text of your plain textarea element
That's it.
BTW, FCKEDITOR has been included in Apex 3.0 as a standard item type.
