EEM: SAPGUI scripting not enabled on server

Hi Gurus,
I have setup SAPGUI EEM monitoring via SOLMAN 7.1 but after deployment there's an error message "SAPGUI scripting not enabled on server()-214722150:disabledByServer=True". I already checked the backend system, and the paramater of sapgui/user_scripting is set to TRUE.
Please advise what else do I need to check in order for the SAPGUI scripting to be working in EEM? Is there any additional parameter that I need to change in the backend system?

I want to email a web page to my friends but the illustrations in the web page do not show up in the email. Instead the is a note that says "Java Script not enabled." If I go to Safari Preferences and go to the security tab, Java Script is checked to be enabled. How can I get these illustrations into my email? What is the problem?

ECATT - Scripting not enabled

I have eCATT working on my Solution Manager 3.2 with Web AS 6.20. I have tried using SAPGUI 6.2 and SAPGUI 6.4 as well, but whenever i try to record any transaction through SAPGUI(record) on my test, production, QA or Dev server, it gives me a warning that Scripting is not enabled on target system, hence no recording would be performed. So, script is not recorded.
I have the parameter "sapgui/user_scripting" on all my servers and its value is set to TRUE. What could be the problem, could anyone please help me out.

did you make the appropriate settings to the clients in which you want to use eCATT. On SAP Support Portal is a note:519858. Please take a look!

The debugger agent is not enabled on server....

We have to weblogic instances and IDM is deployed in both these instances.
When I am trying to start the debugger on server1 I do get this error:
+'The debugger agent is not enable on server2: To enable, please set the SystemConfiguration property serversettings.server2(or default).debugger.enabled=true and restart your application server.+
I have checked and modifed the sys.config object in both the instances and restarted the server instances on both but still the error persisted.
Am I missing anything here?

2) Go to File | Open Repository Object
3) Double-click Generic Objects icon to expand it.
4) Double-click System Configuration
5) Expand serverSettings icon
Click on default
6) Highlight debugger
7) Click on checkbox to select it for the enabled attribute.
8) Save your change by going to File | Save in Repository.
9) Restart your web container.

Got error: Location Code is not enabled in the XML Gateway Server

When I perform Compliance rule screening on GTM - Globel Trade Management,that I defined GTM as an Trading Partner on EBS R12.1.3,
GTM can send response to EBS,but I see the following error message via Transaction Monitor on EBS workflow:
[The Standard:OAG, Transaction Type:ITM , Transaction SubType:EXPORT_COMPLIANCE and Location Code GTM6.2 is not enabled in the XML Gateway Server. Pls check your Setup.]
On EBS,I defined an ITM Partner for GTM,named 'GTM6.2',according to the document created by you: ITM Setup.doc
and I also finished the following steps:

Server side script not running on stand-alone XE

Hello,
In my application I created a Server side script (AJAX) which presents a select-list based on other fields on the page. The very same application runs on a 10g+APEX3.0.1 database AND on a standard XE+APEX2.1 database, which are both accessed via a HTTP-server. The application with the script runs fine on this platform (XP).
I have two other XP-machines on which I also installed XE+APEX2.1. Both are stand-alone versions NOT accessed via a HTTP-server. I installed exactly the same application which runs on the platform with HTTP server on both of the machines. While testing the correct functioning, I noticed that everything works ok, EXCEPT the server side script which gives me a better select list. Instead of this I get the old-fashioned version of the select-list which is not able to use the value elsewhere on the page.
I found a similar problem on the XE forum (Re: Server side scripts features ) but it doesn't answer my question how to get the script working on a standalone version of XE (= without access via a HTTP-server).
Can anybody please help me?

Thanks for your suggestion to install FireFox and the Firebug tool (which I wasn't aware of).
After having looked at the problem for hours, I found what I think is the problem: the htmldb_html_elements.js script.
As already mentioned, the properly functioning XE on my local PC is accessed via a HTTP-server, as well as the 10gR2+APEX3.0.1 version also running on that PC.
On the laptop, not running HTTP-server, I get the message:

When changing to Script I do see a remarkable difference.

I think that the difference is in these two scripts.
But why are the scripts different: it is the same XE that is installed on the laptop and the PC. The answer I found in the images/javascript directory of APEX3.0.1 which is located in the APACHE directory-tree (you have to copy the images to APACHE when you use the HTTP-server). And indeed: the htmldb_html_elements.js has exactly the same text as what I see in Firebug on the PC. So XE on the PC is using the javascripts in the image-directory of APACHE on the PC and not the XE-version of the scripts, embedded in XE.
 
So the answer seems to be: copy the APEX3.0.1 versions of the script over to the PC and try to get them into the database. Or...???
 
Can it be loaded into the database? Will XE accept it?
 
Would be nice to have answers if the conclusion I found is the right one and if it can be fixed by loading the js into XE.

Any connect not enabled on vpn server

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN ENABLE THE ANYCONNECT ON THE VPN SERVER. I HAVE REGISTERED IT AND IT COMES UP AS APPLICATION IS NOT ENABLED ON VPN

I got after a little time. svc is not enabled in that group thats why it does not come up.

Main.asc server side script not working

The script is fine (at least i assume u want the timer working with no errors). The thing is that u can't put any code nor apps on the edge node. Put it on the origin and hook up your edge to that origin.

Running ISA Scripts from SSL enabled IOP server?

When attempting to run a script from an SSL enabled IOP server, scripts no longer run.
Is there a setting to enable the script to utilize the appropriate SSL port?

Firefox will not run a WebEx Meeting even though Java Script is Enabled! I am on 4.0, is this a beta version of FireFox? Are you going to Support Java anytime soon?

I am getting the following error after going in and setting up a WebEx meeting. I will not be able to use FireFox unless you get the ability to enable Java:
"Java Not Enabled
Meeting Center cannot be installed because Java is disabled in your Web browser. Please enable Java in your browser, and then click Set Up again. For instructions on enabling Java, refer to your browser's online help.
If Java cannot be enabled for any reason, you can download the manual installer and install it from your desktop by double-clicking the installer icon."
I enabled Java, added WebEx to all secure sites and performed every possible check known to man. This is on your end FireFox.
Do you have an ETA when 4.0 will support Java?

I will not pretend to know any answers to your problems, but I do wonder if you realise Firefox did decide to produce and support an Extended Stability Release, unfortunately this is NOT going to be based on Firefox 3.6. but on Firefox 10.

Short, basic VB script works on 2003 Server but not on 2012 R2 server

Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place. I have a legacy VB script that I need to keep, but I'm having trouble getting it to work on Server 2012 R2.
The script reads a file called "Test.txt" that contains the following string:

Part of the VB script is to read this "Test.txt" file and parse this line into 2 separate elements based upon the "|" delimeter:

Hmm interesting. I tried using the 3 different "format" parameters for the OpenTextFile method, and none of them worked on Server 2012 R2:

EEM interface errors not matching

I have the event applet configured below. I test by changing the controller time-slots to 1-15 instead of 1-24 in order to generate errors on my Serial0/1/0:0 interface. Errors are generated, but the eem applet does not match even though the errors are incrementing. I've turned on all suggested eem debugging and it shows 0 matches while I can see that the interface is incrementing the errors that should be triggering the actions from the eem.

Newbie Quest. : Howto disable SAPGUI script warning

Hi,
just trying to do some things with vbs and sapgui, i've enabled scripting on the server and disabled scripting warning in the Control Panel. Scripting works fine if the gui is already started, but if i try to start the GUI over vbs and logon i still get:
"A script is opening a connection to system xyz"
Using Sapgui 6405.5.28
how can i disable the warning message ?

Hi,
Log into the SAP system you are running the script on. Goto the Customize Local Layout button on the toolbar (last one on the right). In the resulting drop down menu click on options.
You should get a pop up box so go to the scripting tab. Untick the option "Notify When a Script Attaches to a Running GUI". Also untick the "Notify When a Script Opens a Connection".
That should sort it out - let me know if not.

Script that enables mail users and kicks out two csv files

I am working on a script that will mainly be used as a scheduled task to enabled mailuser by calling the update-recipient command.
But before it calls that command it will get for various issues that can cause errors.
Missing PrimarySMTP
Display name having a space at front or back.
The external email address being blank.
I have IF statements setup to check for those and then call a function that will save into an array the issue for that user.

The Problem is that when I look at the $errOutput I see things but when I pipe the $erroutput to convertTo-CSV I get this within the CSV file. I think its because I an calling a function to do the updating. But not sure.

Let me tell you some comments on Sapgui scripting.
a) The code generated is really different depending if your are using a slow or a regular lan connection. It is not that fun, I made some developments to use indexed fields instead of using names.

Hi Didier,
the problem with the low-speed-connection is a documented 'feature'. Unfortunately during a low-speed- connection the server does not send us the field names that we use to identify objects. I think according to the documentation Scripting doesn't work at all in low-speed-connection. As you noticed it's not quite that bad. The Scripting will work, but you get different Ids for your elements. These Ids follow the same concept as your solution: We use an index to identify objects on the same level of the hierarchy.
Session and connection numbers are meaningless most of the time. They depend so much on what else you are or were doing in SAP GUI that a script relying on them will fail most of the time.
The sample recorder generates code that will always access the first session of the first connection using app.children(0).children(0). All Ids in the scripts are then relative to this session and do not contain a session or connection number. That's ok if you work with one open session most of the time.
We also have a property app.ActiveSession, which will return the session that is currently the topmost.
If you need to access several sessions then it becomes difficult. You can distinguish sessions by checking the connection information in session.info or the window title, but that requires some code writing.
