Effect doesn't show in list

Usually after I add an effect in the Effects Rack, I also see it at the bottom of the list that reads "Show Envelopes". But some effects don't appear there and I don't know how to see their envelopes. They are also colored red. How can I solve this problem?

I'm afraid that you probably can't unless it is just level changes that you wish to make. As Steve said, you have to use less CPU intensive effects if you want to "animate" them at all.
The other alternative is to pre-render out sections of your audio as new .wav files, place them on tracks in Multitrack view and cross fade between them at the appropriate moment.

When i download itunes the download doesn't show a list or devices

When i download Itunes on my Windows Vista PC the install only shows Music. There is no list on the left side and therefore no selection for devices. The install said it downloaded successfully but it obviously didn't. I tried to install it again and was given the option to fix or rapair Itunes, or uninstall. I chose fix or repair the first time. It still looks the same. I did an uninstall, then an install again. I rebooted and it still looked the same. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem is?

hit ctrl+B
then at the top of iTunes click view > Show side bar
That'll return the fimiliar sidebar that we know and love

Might also want to look at the tutorial it offers right after opening it after installations.

"Window" menu doesn't show a list of all my open tabs in Chrome, Safari nor Firefox

It's a weird thing, but recently, I found that the 'Window' menu item Mavericks is not showing a full list of the tabs that I have open in any of my browsers. I've tried with Chrome, Firefox and Safari. I even tried uninstalling Firefox as a test and reinstalling to see if it was app related. But same problem. I think this is something buggy in Mavericks that's going on.
I tried using the Onyx tool for Mavericks to see if the maintenance scripts would help, but to no avail. I wonder if running the scripts awhile back was even perhaps the source of the problem? In any case, very annoying, does anyone have any idea on how to fix this, barring a clean reinstall of Mavericks?

This isn't possible in default Firefox, and not even in the upcoming Firefox 4 (that has Tab Sets already in the prebuilds of beta 4). I understand this is a big deal (Tab Sets in Firefox 4 will have a tab search feature, which should help things a bit) for users with many tabs on many windows, so I believe there should be some extension that helps cases like yours. After Effects doesn't show in CC, help?

I used this link Free After Effects CC | Download Adobe After Effects free trial to try and get the free trial of AE, but when I open the C.Cloud it's not there

The usual reason is that After Effects is 64 bit software and will only install and run on a 64 bit operating system.
If you're running 32 bit Windows then you cannot install or run After Effects.

I purchased a movie from itunes on my ipad but it doesn't show up in my library. It shows up in my history of purchases when I open that page but it is not noted in the list of purchases with all my other purchases. Any idea why?

I purchased a movie from itunes on my regular ipad but it doesn't show up in my library. I am able to view it via my movies icon on the Ipad I used when purchasing it but it does not show up in my purchases listing to download to my ipad mini. Also if I access my itunes account it does not show up in the history of purchases listing like all my other purchases but it does show up when i open that page at the very top; separate form the list. I've tried everything to get it to show up so I can download/view it on my ipad mini.

You can only watch the movie on the device you rented it on. Here's a snippet from the Apple Support site (italics mine):
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

Apple TV doesn't show up in my iTunes devices list

Hey, I tried to post this question an hour ago but apparently my crappy 2.16 GHz intel 2 core duo iMac with 3 GB, 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM can't handle anything else while it is pointing out in iMovie '09 that none of my HD video is stable enough to take advantage of the stabilization feature.
Anyway, here's my second attempt at seeking assistance for the most pressing of the many complications I am faced with as a Mac user.
I can no longer see my Apple TV in the list of devices in iTunes on my iMac. This happened after I downloaded the most recent software update for my Apple TV, and after my step-father-in-law hooked me up with a home entertainment system. I have noted below with "CHECK!" the tasks I have performed in my attempts to maintain a love affair with Apple:
Verify that you have the latest version of iTunes installed. CHECK!
Verify that you have the latest version of Apple TV software installed. CHECK!
Verify Apple TV is powered and properly connected to your television and you can navigate the Apple TV interface. CHECK!
Verify Apple TV is properly connected to your network and the network is properly configured. When configuring Apple TV, if you do not see your wireless network, exit the selection screen by pressing the Menu button then go back in and the software will rescan. DUMB THIS ONE DOWN, APPLE. HOW DO I VERIFY APPLE TV IS PROPERLY CONNECTED TO MY NETWORK? WHY NOT SAY, "CHECK THAT APPLE TV SHOWS UP IN THE iTUNES DEVICES LIST" AS A TROUBLESHOOTING OPTION WHEN SOMEONE SAYS THAT THEIR PROBLEM IS THAT THEIR APPLE TV DOESN'T SHOW UP IN THEIR iTUNES DEVICES LIST". THAT'D BE HELPFUL.
Verify network connectivity on Apple TV by playing a movie trailer in Movies > Trailers. CHECK (BUT *** IS THAT "BIG MAN JAPAN" MOVIE TRAILER ABOUT?)
Verify that the computer you are using can access the iTunes Store. CHECK!
If you're using Apple TV in a school or office environment, make sure Apple TV is on the same network segment as your computer (check with your network administrator) or else iTunes won't see Apple TV. NOT APPLICABLE

If that doesn't address the issue, then:

If you use Windows, try disabling services and startup items that may be conflicting. UHH, WHY WOULD I EVER HAVE WINDOWS? Hi everyone. I am typing here on my brand new 24-inch iMac. So far it's great! However, the issue I had with the Apple TV is unrelated to the iMac itself, and I wanted to let everyone know what the solution was to my Apple TV issue.
Until early this Sunday morning when I discovered this solution, my iMac would not sync with the Apple TV. This problem began after the most recent Apple TV software update. I neglected to mention in my previous posts that my Apple TV was connected to the Internet via an Ethernet connection.
Prior to the most recent software update, I believe that my Apple TV communicated wirelessly with my iMac and via an Ethernet connection to the iTunes store. With the latest Apple TV update, the sync between the iMac and the Apple TV does not work if the Apple TV is connected to the Ethernet. My solution was as follows:
1. Disconnect the Ethernet cable from the Apple TV. Do not reconnect.
2. Restore Apple TV to the factory settings. I'm not in front of my Apple TV at the moment but navigating through the Apple TV menu to reset the settings was fairly straightforward for me.
3. After resetting the factory settings and following the instructions, I was able to see the Apple TV in my computer's iTunes, but I was stuck with the super old software version from summer '07 when I bought this thing (i.e. before you could rent movies or watch anything in HD on the Apple TV).
4. Look for the software update on the Apple TV (again, fairly intuitive by navigating the menu on your TV) and download/install the latest update.
5. If your problem was due to having your Apple TV connected to the Ethernet, I think this should do the trick! It should now show up on your computer's iMac and it should automatically start syncing your iTunes content although I did have to direct it to sync my photos.
p.s. Does anyone know how I can let Apple know that this issue exists with the latest Apple TV update? The guys at the Genius Bar at the mall I went to in Pleasanton, CA couldn't find any notes in their knowledge database about issues with the latest Apple TV software update and I think it's important that Apple knows about this.
p.s.s. I think Apple should make all of us, their consumers, more aware of how to let Apple know about these issues because this issue was so frustrating and throughout the whole troubleshooting process I felt very helpless and would have felt so much more positive about Apple if I just had a forum in which I could let Apple know I was having this issue (above and beyond this user forum through which I ended up losing much of my iTunes album artwork after following one person’s advice).
So if that forum exists, please let me know and let's brainstorm as to how to get more people like me to be aware of that forum so other people don't experience the same frustrations I have experienced.
p.s.s.s. I haven't tried reconnecting my Apple TV to the Ethernet in my home. While it will probably be slower to rent and download movies wirelessly, I don't care that much as I'm thinking I will start renting movies through Netflix instead and just use the Apple TV to watch my homemade videos on my TV.
But I am curious, why does Apple charge so frickin' much to rent a movie on the Apple TV? $4.99 for an HD movie? Everyone who has NetFlix tells me it is sooooo much cheaper and very easy to use. And to be honest, this makes me mad. Not that there is a cheaper option for renting movies/TV shows. That makes me happy. What makes me mad is that Apple charges so much to rent a movie when it doesn’t benefit them and it doesn’t benefit me. I think Apple does a lot of good things, but I think being able to rent (or even better, to subscribe to) media that you can watch (almost) instantaneously in your home is the wave of the future and still relatively new. If Apple wants to make money off of this service in the long term, they need to start by offering movies for super cheap, even taking a loss off the price they pay the production companies if they have to, because right now it's still all about adoption (i.e. getting as many people as Apple possibly can to think about renting a movie or *please please* a TV show through Apple ).
So I guess I feel like it's a lose-lose for Apple and me. Through Apple, to rent a movie (or *please please* a TV show) I will pay much more than I would with Netflix. But if Apple can walk away with an untarnished reputation after creating a special headphone input into their original iPhone device to make extra money out of nothing, then maybe they can do no wrong and we just need to keep blindly giving them our moolah? Can somebody please let me know how I could get a better job or at least a raise so that I can give Apple all of the money they are trying to squeeze out of me?

I am soooo sorry Apple, but the other day when I was at your store looking for the Firewire adaptor I needed to transfer files from my Firewire 400 on my old iMac to my new iMac via the Firewire 800 adaptor, I just couldn’t stomach the huge markup. I imagine you guys make a ton of money by ridiculously marking up your accessories over what one could pay elsewhere.
I know the rest of your consumers are happy to pay $50 for buying the cable in your store and I would like to apologize right now for using your in-store computers to search for the alternative pricing which I found for $19.99. I don’t believe any of your other customers saw me doing this, but if they did, please accept my sincere apologies. How can I get rid of Browser Highlighter? It doesn't show up in add-ons (either extensions or plugins), nor is it in Windows Vista program list.

Song doesn't show in ''bought'' list

So i bought a song on itunes and downloaded it on my brand new laptop. I want to send it to my iphone but i know that if i sync my device, i will loose a ton of songs that i didnt buy on itunes but imported from my cd's. I know there's a way to download it directly from my iphone but when i search for the song on itunes store, it says it's already bought and won't let me download it. And when i search into my ''bought list'' it doesnt show and there is at least 10 more bought songs that doesn't show. I'm starting to think i should go back to android because of how complicated and problematic is apple so HELP!

Open the iTunes Store on your phone.
Make sure you are signed in with the same account used for the original purchase on your computer.
Tap More from the bottom navigation bar.
Tap Purchased to go to your Purchased page.
Tap Music.
Once you've located the music you are looking for, tap the download button. Looks like a "Cloud".

I've used Feedburner many times and never had such a problem. I am a bit confused, forgive me if I ask for questions already answerd. Have you tried updating the podcast in someone elses copy of iTunes? My guess is that the file is bad since it is working in other programs but not iTunes. I would try making a new .mp4 file and podcasting it and seeing if that works.

Shared reminder list doesn't show up

I have a separate iCloud ID for sharing reminders, calendars and such. I can successfully share them between my iPhone, iPad and laptop (Mountain Lion).
Today I was trying to share reminder lists with my friends Mark and Peter. We wanted to achieve that we could all see the list shared by Mark. This is what happened:
- I shared my TODO list with Mark and Peter. Success. They could both see the list and add items to it.
- Mark shared his TASK list with me and Peter: Peter can successfully see the list. I accept the invitation and when then I get a message 'already accepted, check the sidebar', but the TASK list doesn't show up
- Peter shared his MYTODO list with me: same thing, I can accept the invitation, I get a message 'already accepted, check the sidebar' but the list doesn't show up.
None of the shared lists show up in my iCloud.com or Reminders app on my iPad, iPhone or laptop.
Any ideas?

Right-click on the desired folder and choose Get Info from the contextual menu. In the info window that appears, toward the bottom is a section for Sharing & Permissions (click on the disclosure triangle if the section isn't open). You may also need to click on the lock (at the lower right corner) to unlock and authenticate in order to make changes.
The normal permissions for a user's Public folder is read only for staff and everyone (items can also be put in the Drop Box). The normal permissions for the /Users/Shared folder is read & write for everyone, although the appropriate permissions need to be set by the owner (or use something like Access Control List (ACL) entries) to allow people to modify items that are owned by others.

From what I can tell you won't be presented with apps Adobe thinks are not compatible with your system but I don't see why that would be true in your case. It is supposed to be possible to download the trial and then convert it to the cloud. Maybe you can try that. Here are the instructions for Photoshop. Hopefully it's similar for Lightroom. The link for Lightroom instructions on this page just goes to the same page.

You can use export to Photoshop CC but not as a editor. It stays there. I have OS10.8 and Photoshop CC not Photoshop CC2014 at this time. If I go to presets in Lightroom preferences and push restore export presets
do I also lose my plugin presets and have to reload them ?
