EHSM and SERC

Dear Experts,
I am a newbie in EHSM. I do not find any relevant materials to explore EHSM. I would like to know about EHSM and I have worked with legacy IHS and OH. I have EHSM 2.0 in my system as per BASIS information. But I have no clue on how to start with or any tcodes to access or the process flow or any functions to activate it. There is no relevant menus in Easy access screen. Guide me on how to proceed with.
Also , I see posts regarding this SERC 2013. Could u please tell me what is this about and where/why and when do we use this as I am a novice in it.

Regarding Component Extension: Execute a survey in this FORUM. A "high" number of threads generated with in the last roughly 12 months show that this new solution is used more and more by different companies. Version 4.0 is (if i remember correct) now in ramp up phase.
Starting from SAP EHS Management classic you can "transfer" data to the new solution. The design or scope is different in comparisison to the old solution.
Coming back to SERC / SERD: the use of these servises / solutions is a decision of the company running SAP. It is no must or mandatory. Clealry the use does have a lot of benefits. At the end: it is a company decision to use these solutions (alternatives are in place as well as there is more than one company delivering content etc.)): I did not execute a recent survey. But I assume that there max 5 companies which deliver such / similar solutions (inculding SAP). So the number of companies providing such services / solutions is limited and this situaiotn seems to be stable.

Appreciate your response for a query from a customer. Find below
Kindly help us to get some more details from SAP about the connectivity between OSI-PI system and SAP (PP,EHSM and QM).
Because, we might use only for one way communication (pull) the data from OSI-PI to get plant information to update our SAP –ECC for informative
purpose of production reports and EHS.
Queries:
Plan A
1.      Whether OSI-PI RLink is enough for the connectivity to SAP?
2.      Whether any other interface other than SAP-PI or MII to connect OSI PI?
Plan B
    1.      From this year, we are using Honeywell DCS (SCADA) system, whether Honeywell PHD system could connect SAP?
2.      If the above answer yes , then what is the standard interface using for SAP and Honeywell PHD ?
   The above queries raised because of clarity required for OSI –PI interface minimal connectivity requirement.

Hi Ifran,
Recommend that you use PCo amd MII to integrate to ECC. MII has JCO and BAPI connectors for ECC as well as the capablilty to implement Listeners to receive IDOC from ECC. MII has additonal capabilities such as the Plant Information Catalog that will be very beneficial in defining historian data and providing business context around it.
PCo has a native OSP PI connector as well as MII connectors that can execute MII transactions directly; the transactions can then execute JCO and BAPI to ECC.
PCo can connect to Honeywell PHD using the PCo OPC HDA connector. (The Honeywell historian OPC server will need to be installed and activated, preferably on the PCo server.) PCo also has connectors for TCP Socket, OPC DA, OPC UA, OPC AE, ODBC, OLEDB, FileMonitor, and additional native historian connectors (Aspentech IP21, GE Proficy, CiTectSCADA).

Let me know DG Classification data is maintained or not in the DG Master for the material which you want to block in Air Mode transport . Use T.Code DGP2 for checking this
If Maintained ...select Classification IATA (Probably for Air) and click on Classification in which you have put he check mark for the filed 'Transport Not permitted"
If DG Classification is not maintained in the DG Master ..Refer below configuration guide for DG Configuration in your system.. Basically there are 3 key steps in DG Process
1) DG Classification
2) Fill the DG Classification data in DG master
3) Define the DG Schema & Checks and Assign the same to different order type

Is it possible to launch a Screen Personas screen from an ABAP WebDynpro application?

I am running SAP EHSM Incident Management within SAP Portal. EHSM has an ABAP WebDynpro frontend based on BOPF/FPM
In the same portal session for a single user, we want to be able be in an
active record in EHSM and then launch a screen personas screen based on a
SAPGUI transaction from either a button click or portal tab click. As part of
the launch, we want to pass an HR PERNR ID to the Screen Personas/SAPGUI
transaction from the active record in EHSM and run a search. Is it possible to
do this? Project team is saying this is a technical limitation.
I know that Screen Personas cannot be used for a WebDynpro screen, but we just want to launch a screen and pass a parameter. We assumed during blueprint this would be possible.

This is definitely possible.
Here is a link containing an example of building the URL to start a transaction via Personas and pass a variable plus a command in the URL. This could be enhanced with specifying the flavor as well.

Variable screen of webi rich client differs from one of Infoview

Hello
We are on BO XI 3.1 sp3, universe of the top of SAP BI 7.01 query.Webi version 12.3.0
Char1 is set to delegated search. Variable1 for char1 is mandatory, multiple single values on SAP BI side.
Webi reports (executed from webi rich client) allows search by value for this char1. Webi report (executed from infoview) doesnt allow any search for char1.
Button FIND (match case) looks inactive. It doesnt start search.
I tried different combinations (see below) but it doesnt help.

SERC content package and service package

Hi,
This is regarding regulatory content provider. I came across an SAP presentation on Product Safety and Dangerous goods, which talks about twp options:
1. Going for an on-premise approach using SERC - content package
2. Going for a service approach using SERC- service package
Could you please elaborate on both the service package and content package approach? How does it work/integrate with business processes in SAP?

For our client, SAP has confirmed following:
"Customer has purchased SAP EHS Regulatory Content (ERC).
With licensing ERC the customer receives access
to the service marketplace of SAP to download
i) the licenced content packages, ii) the Admin Guide and iii) the Update Guide."
So I believe, our client has bought SERC and not SERD and this will be a On Premise solution and we need to download the required content to the client servers and implement the same.
Is my understanding correct?

Hi,
   I suppose you are trying to store some particular value in memory in one program and then retieve it in another.
If so try using EXPORT data TO MEMORY ID 'ZC1'. and IMPORT data FROM MEMORY ID 'ZC1'.
To use SET PARAMETER/GET PARAMETER the specified parameter name should be in table TPARA. Which I don't think is there in your case.
Sample Code :
Data declarations for the function codes to be transferred
DATA : v_first TYPE syucomm,
       v_second TYPE syucomm.
CONSTANTS : c_memid TYPE char10 VALUE 'ZCCBPR1'.
Move the function codes to the program varaibles
v_first = gv_bdt_fcode.
v_second = sy-ucomm.
Export the function codes to Memory ID
EXPORT v_first
       v_second TO MEMORY ID c_memid.        "ZCCBPR1 --- Here you are sending the values to memory
Then retrieve it.
Retrieve the function codes from the Memory ID
IMPORT v_first TO v_fcode_1
         v_second TO v_fcode_2
FROM MEMORY ID c_memid.                                   "ZCCBPR1
FREE MEMORY ID c_memid.                                   "ZCCBPR1
After reading the values from memory ID free them your problem should be solved.

NOT and NOT NULL constraints

I saw this posted on Metalinks and the answer was to be found here. I can't seem to find it..... has there been a resolution to this? Unfortunately, I am running into the same problem.

I am trying to create Oracle8i schema from MS SQL Sercer 7.0 using Oracle Migration Workbench and it is not functioning as expected.
Problems are:

1. If the column type is CHAR OR VARCHAR in MS SQL Server and the integrity contraints is NOT NULL or NULL, in Oracle8i it create as NULL only and it not taking the NOT NULL in MS SQL Server to Oracle8i NOT NULL. I can say that it is ignoring the integrity constraint for CHAR OR VARCHAR type while converting to Oracle8i.
Example in MS SQL Server

CREATE TABLE emp (
emp_name CHAR(10) NOT NULL
the tool converts to Oracle8i as
CREATE TABLE emp (
emp_name CHAR(10)
It is ignoring the NOT NULL constraints in Oracle8i and it is happening only for CHAR and VARCHAR data type. Can anyone help me on this how to rectify the problem in Migration Workbench. ....... "

We reported this for the EA's, but got little response and obviously no resolution.

Add Custom fields in Report Incident Screen in EHSM

Hello experts,
I want to add custom fields like Notification No. and division in Report Incident screen in EHSM.
I have added two fields.
Business Object: EHHSS_INCIDENT
Node: BASIC_INFO_ALL
Structure: INCL_EEW_EHHSS_INC_BINFA_D (added two fields using append structure)
Now how can i link with my screen and how to fetch notification data (standard F4 help)?
and when i save data, where it will save?
Can you guide me with proper steps for it as i am new in it.

Hi Jayvin,
To add the above fields on the screen, open the component configuration of the required screen.
Enhance the same and add the fields from the respective Node.
You did not worry about saving the data, once the fields are placed on the screen it will get save on click of save/ on event of save.

Hi Bhushan,
If you want to add 3 radio buttons, then first of all you have to append one field in EHHSSS_INC_BASIC_INFO_ALL_D structure with Fixed Domain values.
Then you need to enhance EHHSS_INC_REC_NRM_QAF_V3_BSCI component Configuration.
In that Configuration you need to add field with display type Radio Button Group, with column count 3.

Initial SERC Load with OCC

Dear Experts,
I hope that everyone is fine and healthy. I am stuck with SAP EH&S problem and as SAP EHS consultant, I was hoping that we can share knowledge. . I was hoping that one of you guys can help me. I want to upload substance with open content connector for SERC database with XML file but I am not able to get the initial load from XML file in to SAP. I have already created RFC and I can call OCC from CG02 via data determination but I cannot upload substances from XML file via OCC to SAP. Has anyone got experience with initial SERC database via OCC ?
Can you give me some advice?

it is not "clear" how you have prepare the OCC and XML file to be used in upload.
To use OCC you need to prepare "mappings" etc. Starting from hit list you can do as mentioned by Ralph initlal upload and delta upload.
Do you get a "screen" showing the spec (some core data like identifier) and the data you would like to upload? Which "preparation" steps to use OCC has been done? (check OCC documentation on your local file for proper set up of OCC and check the OSS note mentioned in SAP online help etc. etc.)

As shown in second document: there are not more that 20 thread regarding OCC. Seems to be that this tool is either not used or that no issue come up in use.

There are two options to use OCC. One in dialog modus (online) and second offline modus. I assume you would like to use first mode?

Problem to create an Incident in EHSM 4.0

Hi Experts!,
I am writting to ask you because I am having problem to create an Incident in EHSM 4.0.
Currently I have the SAP_EHSM_HSS_INICIDENT_MANAGER role, and I select "Incident-->Report Incident"
After, I see this windows where I have to complete all steps:
After completing all steps, when I am in the last step I can see this:
After that, I push SEND botton and I get this error:
500 SAP Internal Server Error
ERROR: The current application triggered a termination with a short dump. (termination: RABAX_STATE)
I tried give me different roles in EHSM, but this error persist. I don't know if something is wrong in the configuration (SPRO) or what is happening.
Could anybody help me with this error?

I think that this values are defaults, Do you know if this values are ok? or Which are the adequate values?

Hi All,
I am a BW Consultant & got the requirement to develop the Incident Management Reports.
we have SAP standard Extractors for Incident Management to load the Data.
I want to know
1. I need to reconcile my bw report, what are the T.codes for Incident Management,
2. is EHSM is web based / SAP GUI based, if web based...how to login.
3. I have access to ECC where the EHSM is instaled, but I am very new & dont have Idea to login.
Please help me in this...since I dont have any functional consultant here.

First you will have to ensure you have EHSM roles asssigned to you(i.e SAP_EHSM_MASTER or customized role of it)
Second :once you login select Health and Safety->Overview where you would be able to see incident and incident reports ; also you can select analytical reports to viewing BI data
