How i can solve the issue
Applicaion server is GlassFish

Find the cause, and fix it. That is not going to be easy and nobody is going to be able to do it for you.
The only thing I can offer is that there are two likely sources:
a) an exception occurred somewhere which caused the transaction to become aborted/rolled back
b) there was a transaction timeout
Normally I would put my money on a), but if you check the stacktrace I just happen to spot "callEJBTimeout" in there.Perhaps your timer task is doing something that takes too long?

  • Cannot get email from Verizon servers thru Time Warner ISP

I've had Verizon for many years until a move took us to California where it was not an option in our area.  I purchased the email addresses from Verizon 3 years ago.  Everything has worked fine until 2 weeks ago when my wife and myself cannot access our emails anymore using our home network.  If we log onto any other network it works great.  I've called both Time Warner and Verizon (which is a customer service story in itself)  twice a day for two weeks and have gotten nowhere.  Each blames the other but I still don't have email.  I've changed my router to get another ip address with the same result.  I've performed traceroutes which have ended with a verizon server but I can't get anyone at verizon to tell me if it is the email server or not.  I've tried whitelisting the ip address.  I've tried removing and reinstalling the verizon email account in my Macbook.  Nothing works!   Lots of threads of people with the same problem but I can't find a soulution.  PLEASE HELP!!

  • Mid 2011 mbp i7 with a SSD has problems, including grey screen/blue screen/beeping/freezing when I stream live video (i.e. watch espn or time warner cable) Help? Ideas?

Recently my Macbook Pro (June 2011, i7, 8gb RAM, 512gb SSD, AMD Radeon 6750, Mountain Lion - since July - currently 10.8.2) has been presenting me with an array of problems, usually initiated when I am streaming live video. I was streaming Time Warner Cable on 12/9 and it gave me what looked like the blue screen of death.  It started up after about five attempts that time. The other day, after about a week of not using the computer, it wouldn't boot past the grey screen. I (option) started it and it gave me two boot choices, the regular HD and a "10.8 restore" option.  The HD gave me the grey screen and the restore option gave me the dark blue screen. I reset PRAM and that didn't work.  After a force (x) start it worked.  Today, I was using "Watch ESPN" and the screen froze and the computer did some kind of repeating RAM beep or something.  I rebooted and it started up fine.  I'm not watching any videos anymore, but this is a problem since the primary purpose for my mbp is video editing. I'm still under AppleCare but I find more solid answers in the forums or at least better questions for the AppleCare people.
Anybody have similar experiences, or a solid idea of what the heck has happened to my machine?

I'm not really sure what method that person was talking about. I just read he had a successful install so I posted it.
    But I'll hazard a guess
    1. copy your entire drive to a backup drive
    2. boot into that drive and test it out - make sure its a flawless backup, it works, and the hard drive has no problems
    3. eject that drive, disconnect it and reboot into the leopard install dvd
    4. erase your main hard drive using disc utilities on the leopard install dvd -- you've made a backup, made sure that backup was good, and disconnected it so it's currently safely disconnected from the leopard install you're about to do. Also, on the hard drive you're erasing and installing leopard on to, many people recommend "Zeroing" it as well as erasing it. That option is part of the erase function in disc utilities on the leopard install disc.
    5. do a clean install of leopard
    6. follow step 4 from that original post exactly as that person described to do.
    7. read the rest of what they said
That's pretty much it. With the backup/erase/clean install/import/ you pretty much get everything you need exactly the way you want it with very few things missing -- and you've done this over a clean install. Plus that poster did mention that you can select what you want to import from your backup hard drive.
It sounds like its a "clean install" method that gives you control via "import from machine" option in the installer. Control over what parts of your "old mac" you want to import into your "new leopard mac".
Hopefully that helps. It sounds more involved, but its actually pretty quick and provides you with a perfectly save backup in case anything goes wrong with the leopard install.

  • How to hook up Wii, DVD player, using a Sony Bravia TV and Time Warner Cable Box

Does anyone have any insight? Do I need to buy a component cord to hook up the Wii? Should I run it through the cable box or dvd? The TV doesn't have enough hookup spots for everything so I have to reroute things and just trying to figure out the most efficient way to do it. I am clueless and the Time warner person that hooked up my TV was no help (as usual).
    Thanks!

You don't HAVE TO run a component cable from the Wii to the TV, but it will look better if you do. You don't run game system "through" your cable box or DVD. Each source should have its own input.
If your TV is a modern HD set, you should have more than enough inputs to accommodate a Wii, HD cable, and DVD player.

  • Safari won't open the time warner cable server

safari won't open the time warner cable server, I'm trying to watch amc shows through the website, and it asks you to pick a server to login to. I chose my time warner cable server and it won't connect. ATandT works, but mine won't. I've tried restarting and downloading newer versions but it is still not working.

    Don’t worry about it.
I’m going to cancel the subscription.
I maged to download it and install it, but it’s constantly damaged and won’t open.
I may as well just forget it and cancel.

  • Can I use my WRT54G as a DHCP server only? I've got 5 dynamic IP's from Time Warner..

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if I can use my WRT54G as a DHCP server only only my network, without having to have any of my PC's plugged into it's router ports?  I looked at the settings but I couldn't get it to work.
Here's why:  I just got Time Warner Business Class cable internet which comes with 5 dynamic IP's.  I want each computer, well 4 of them at least and 1 for the WRT54G, to have a unique IP when accessing the internet, and the other computers (5 more computers) to use the DHCP server in the WRT54G to get a NAT IP for use on the internet.
We play Diablo II on the internet and only 4 computers can be connected through 1 IP, so that limits us in my current configuration.
Current Equipment: One WRT54G, one Netgear GS116 16 port gigabit non-managed switch.  One Time Warner Cable modem.  Also attached to the network is one HP network printer, a Buffalo LinkStation NAS and a Zensonic Network DVD player.
Current config:  Cable modem -->  WRT54G --> Netgear switch.
Ideal config: Cable modem -->  Netgear switch -->  WRT54G.
With my current config, I am not taking advantage of the 5 dynamic IP's, but all the computers connected to the Netgear switch or the WRT54G can connect to the internet and the NAS.
So my ideal config (where I don't have to buy anything and where all the computers can print and access the NAS) is to connect all the computers and devices to the Netgear Switch and somehow force 4 of the computers and the WRT54G to get a dynamic IP from the cable modem, while the other computers and devices use the DHCP server on the WRT54G to get to the internet.
    Is this possible?
I called Time Warner Cable and they weren't any help.  I called the Linksys sales department and they weren't of much help either.
I suppose that I could purchase a new 8 port switch and attach 4 computers, the cable modem and the WRT54G to it.  Then attach the Netgear to the WRT54G to accomodate the printer, NAS, and the other 5 computers.  But in that senario, the 4  computers connected to the new switch can't print and can't reach the NAS.  And geez, some computers would have to go through 3 devices to reach the internet, which has got to slow them down.
I did read about the Linksys EFG120 which has a DHCP server, but at $400 and only 120 gigs, it doesn't work for me.
I called Time Warner and the cost of more dynamic IP's is prohibitive, I'm already paying $79 a month for this internet and they want another $50 a month for 7 more dynamic IP's and that wouldn't help my NAS or my printer.
The cost of a 16 port gigabit switch with DHCP is an amazing $800 or so, which is out of the question.
Sorry for being so long winded and thanks for reading this far.  I'm looking forward to any replies.

That is a hell of a setup. I don't know if it would be easier and cheaper to either buy a real router like a Cisco, get fixed IP addresses and a RV042, or buy 4 network cards for the four of the five computers which need the internet access for gaming.
    O.K. First your setup:
    1. You wire the modem to the 6-port switch.
    2. You connect the remaining 5 ports with the WAN ports of 5 WRTs with DHCP on the WAN interface.
    3. You configure each WRT with unique LAN IP addresses in the same subnet, e.g. 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0, 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.3, 192.168.1.4, 192.168.1.5.
    4. You turn off all DHCP servers except on one, e.g. 192.168.1.1. That router will be the default router and internet connection for any client which gets dynamic LAN addresses (as fallback or guests, I would not configure the NAS or printer with DHCP addresses if you have everything else on static IP addresses). You can certainly disable all DHCP servers if you want, too.
    5. Now you connect all WRTs with each other.
5a. You connect port 1 of the 1st WRT with port 1 of the 2nd.
You connect port 2 of the 2nd with port 1 of the 3rd.
Port 2 of the 3rd with port 1 of the 4th.
Port 2 of the 4th with port 1 of the 5th.
(Do not create a loop connecting port 2 of the 5th with port 2 of the 1st!!)
5b. You buy another switch and connect each port 1 of each router with this switch. This has the advantage that you don't have a long cascade between the 1st and the 5th router like in 5a.
    6. You connect all devices to the LAN.
6a. If you did 5a, you will probably put each computer to the router which internet connection it uses. The NAS and printer could go anywhere.
6b. If you did 5b, you hopefully bought a 16 or 24 port switch. Then you plug simply everything into that switch. Otherwise you can certainly use the free ports of the WRTs like in 6a.
    7. You configure all your devices with static IP addresses. For instance,
    IP 192.168.1.11
    netmask 255.255.255.0
    gateway 192.168.1.1
For the DNS servers I would highly recommend to use the DNS servers of your ISP directly and not use the relay on 192.168.1.1.
The gateway address defines through which router the computer connects to the internet.
    8. You may still have to configure port forwardings on the router to the game computer if required for the game.
An interesting alternative to this setup might be to buy 4/5 network cards for the 4/5 computers with direct internet access. Then you use the one network card to connect to your single LAN behind your single WRT. The other network card goes into the switch behind the modem and has direct internet access. You then have to tell Windows which of the network cards has the default gateway for the internet connection (to prevent routing all traffic through the LAN and the WRT to the internet). One game computer would have to be behind the WRT.

  • Airport Extreme set up with Time Warner

OK. I am experiencing a similar problem as mentioned in a differnt thread, but a bit different. First my Airport Utlility is 6.3.1 so the graphics for settings are completely different.  I have an ATV2, Black Mccbook and Ipad2. My problem is when I try to add a third device of the three, especially the Macbook, once I get it an assigned # via the modem (using a White, new Surfboard 6141 and Time Warner as provider), my Ipad gets dropped. Once I even lost the ATV2.  The Mccbook is generating its own DHCP address. When I have it on and reboot the modem, it sets it up , but then I lose the Ipad when I turn it back on. My apple extreme in set in Bridge,(by default it is a 2007 model.Has never been a problem when I used Verizon.Where do I go from here. Been playing with this all day.  Internet connect is set fort DHCP . Network is set for Bridge. I have no Ivp6 settings.

Also, I was not given instructions for set up from Time Warner. It was done via a phone call by the technician when they installed the cable. Timw Warner takes no responsibility for owned Routers and how to configure them. They just make sure the modem is probperly feeding the signal. Message was edited by: Moncrief

(using a White, new Surfboard 6141 and Time Warner as provider)
This is a simple cable modem, that will deliver only one IP address to the AirPort Extreme.
My apple extreme in set in Bridge,(by default it is a 2007 model. Has never been a problem when I used Verizon.
Bridge Mode is not the correct setting for the AirPort Extreme. It needs to be in a Router Mode of DHCP and NAT.
Bridge Mode would have been the correct setting with a Verizon modem/router......but the SB6141 is not a router....it is a simple modem.
You can try to make the settings change to see if that will work, but in most cases when you are making a modem change on a network, it is recommended to first reset the AirPort Extreme back to factory default settings  (to wipe older and possibly conflicting settings), and then configure the AirPort to work with the new modem.

  • Can I keep my AT&T & Yahoo email addresses after we go back to Time Warner?

When we found that we could be paying $76.95 LESS per month for MORE, better service with TWC, we decided to swtich back to TWC. (This would never have happened if AT&T wouldn't have sent us a bill asking for $54 more starting this month without even warning us! But that's what they did and it prompted me to call TWC to find out what they could offer. And their best bundle is $76.95 cheaper than AT&T's best bundle, so we switched. It wasn't an easy decision to make because we've had AT&T phone service for 45 years and AT&T Internet for 17 years! We've only had uVerse for 2 years, but even though it's not as good as cable, not as convenient and doesn't have all the cool perks that TWC has, we were going to sign up for another 2 years. Until, like I said, we got the last bill. We don't appreciate being treated this way after paying for the service all this time, never being late, not once, in fact they just take the money out of our checking account each month so it's never late! But, after having all my email addresses with worldnet.att.net, att.net, sbcglobal.net and yahoo, for 17 years, I hate the idea of giving up my email addresses! EVERYONE I know, family & friends, and all the companies and websites I've signed up with know me as my name @ att.net.So, I wonder if I'll be able to access my email accounts after the switch? Or will AT&T just close those accounts? I sure hope there's someone out there that knows the answer to this question will see this and send an answer very soon because I've been fretting about this ever since we made the call to TWC. In fact this is the only reason why we didn't call to switch as soon as our contract was up. (BTW - all the better services we'll have with TWC will be a nice change especially since we don't have to sign a contract! We can drop any service or add any service at any time without paying a penalty!)

The short answer is, yes, you can keep your AT&T associated e-mail addresses. They have to be modified in some way, but how to do that is pretty easy to find on their support web page.

  • EJB Timer problem

Hi all, I'm trying to run the J2EE Tutorial EJB Timer sample, but I keep getting an exception:
Errors while obtaining information about the database. Got the following exception:

Cause: Connection could not be allocated because: Connection does not exist. .The tutorial says that I should start the PointBase database first, and I did; but there seems to be something missing, like the server is trying to lookup some datasource and it can't find it.
    Any ideas?

using time warner road runner. when I try to open up safari to home page I get error message that this version does not support the "community toolbar" can't proceed until closing the error message. sick of seeing it

That toolbar/ct plugin seems to cause problems for all who install it!
Close Safari, then locate and delete the following files and it should be gone:
    /Library/Application Support/Conduit
    /Library/InputManagers/CTLoader
    /Library/Receipts/ctloader.pkg
    /Library/Receipts/<Toolbar name>.pkg
    /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins/CT2285220.bundle
    /Users/<User name>/Library/Application Support/Conduit
where / is the root library on your Hard Disk.
If you are running Snow Leopard you should also look here:
    Library/launchAgents/com.conduit.loader.agent.plist
    Library/Application support/conduit plugins
    Also, as mentioned by Gilli2000:
Library/Receipts - If you read it, it has information in it at the bottom referring extensively to "CT" and "community toolbar".
Maybe it is harmless, but trash those items anyway!
Note: Safari does not support any third-party toolbars except those supplied as an extension to Safari via the Extension Gallery.

  • I'm having trouble with "maps" on Macbook Pro, iPad and iPhone.  It shows my current location and hour away from where I am.  As soon as a move iPhone away from my wifi at home to cellular it shows my correct location.  No help from Time Warner.

What can I do to get "maps" to work on my Macbook Pro, iPad and iPhone when connected to wifi at home.  iPhone "maps" work fine when connected to cellular service. Maps on wifi shows me about 55 minutes away from my current location.  Very frustrating.  I called Time Warne,r my service provider, but they had no answers since they were not knowledgeable of this situation.  Anyone else having problem?  I just updated all devices to newest update.  Is that the problem.

Did you bring your wireless router with you? If so, it's possible the iPad is getting its location through the router and the router still "thinks" it's where you used to live.
Try taking your iPad to another location where there is wifi (such as a coffee shop). Then, try an app that uses location services. If it's accurate at another location, then the source of your problem is your router.

  • Cannot get my "log in" button to work for online banking. Stopped working about a week ago. Checked Time Warner Cable and the Bank and they said it's on your end. Can you help?

I have been online banking with TD Bank for years now and have never had a problem getting into the log in. About a week ago when I would click on the log in button, nothing would happen however I can get into every other link on that site. I contacted TD Bank and they said that my account was fine and I was not locked out and there were no security issues. I then called Time Warner and they checked my service and said nothing was wrong with my service and that it sounded like it was from my server since I was going through Firefox, I should call you guys and see if it is the problem.

  • Apple tv remote doesn't work so I programmed my time warner remote but can't unpair old remote

I haven't used my apple tv in months and today when I tried using it the remote would not work.  I then tried to program my time warner remote to the apple tv and after I did this whenever I pressed a button on the remote a light flashes three times on the apple tv.  I've read this is because the old remote is still paired to the apple device.  I tried unpairing by holding menu and left on my time warner remote and menu and rewind also but neither combination seems to work as I am still seeing three blinking lights whenever I press a button.  Any help as to how I can unpair my old remote?

  • No Video on Time Warner App

I get no video when I try to use my Time Warner app to watch either TWC or ESPN.  The audio seems to work ok, but no video.  Also, I'ved check things out using a different streaming video and they seem to work ok.   Any help?

Websites and third party Apps need enabling before they will allow AirPlay of Video content. Some Website/App developers have not enabled their products, some simply haven't got around to it yet, others have stated that they won't be enabling AirPlay (likely as a result of licensing issues).
I have created a User Tip to list Apps that have been tested with Video Airplay, if you have any Apps that you have tested please leave details in the comments at the bottom of the User Tip or email me if you don't have commenting privileges.
