Eloqua Wishlist/ Functionalities for Campaign Canvas

Campaign Canvas wishlist: As eloqua already has most of this functionality in parts and components, it would be good to see this all on campaign canvas.
This will deffinately help all users across all campaigns, minimizing time and effort to setup and execute campaigns.
(The icons are fake, they do not exist, just a wishlist mockup )

Combining the functionality of program feeder along with Campaign settings.

Combining the functionality of Percent based routing and Email Batches. Giving options such as:
1. Split by counts
2. Split by Percentages
3. Data/ Data Card Field values
4. Split by Open/ Click thru winners over time. Example: 5,5,90
         Send Notification
A Notification step that allows us to send notifications, based on when the                campaign exection is complete. Few options:
1. Notification to one or more email addresses, seperated by commas.
2. Notification to Contact group(s), or user group(s).
3. Notification to uploaded list of email addresses. (Can leverage contact upload wizard)
4. An option to choose any emails to be used a notifications.
5. Ability to choose sender or signature rule to send notificaitons.
    Multi-Channel Delivery
Ability to Send communications via 1 or more channels. The Options are:
1. Email
2. Direct Mail (May be into a some sort of list, with third party settings)
3. SMS. (Internal or with third party settings)
4. Phone Voicemail (To send voicemails, internal or with third party settings)
5. Mobile version (If preferences available, otherwise based on responsive design)
6. Fax (Internal or third party settings)
7. To third party system wit configration settings.
Upload wizard for Components Library
1. Email Header
2. Email Footer
3. Shared Content
4. Dynamic Content
5. Signature Layout
6. Signature Rule
Any thoughts are welcome!!

Love the running list! Here's a few more to add:
- Ability to schedule specific batch sizes/times for emails to go out -- for example, if I have a segment of 1000 people, i want to be able to send to 100 people today at 9am and then the rest tomorrow at 10am without having to create 2 separate segments or create a filter to base a decision rule off of.
- Decision rules based off of segments -- it's a pain to have to save it as a shared list just to filter.
- Ability to view all Campaign Members by step, and to search by it. Currently if I want to remove a contact from the Campaign, I have to know exactly what step they're in and manually go in and remove them rather than searching among all Campaign Members.
- Ability to drag/drop or delete multiple items at once -- if you have a large drip program and then you decide to add in a step at the beginning, you currently have to either live with what becomes a really messy-looking canvas, or you have to take the time to move every element on the canvas individually to make room for the new steps. Related to this: Ability to move the auto-created segments when members are added from either Program Builder or a Form processing step -- currently these all just stack on top of each other so you can't read them.
A lot of these would be covered if we can get full Program Builder functionality added to Campaign Canvas!

Handling large number of waves in Campaign Canvas

Hi All,
I want to bounce off some ideas around create multi wave campaigns.
We have few campaigns that have more than 15 waves. When we try to build these in Campaign Canvas, we are not able to accommodate all waves in the same Campaign, especially because there is some Opt and other processing between waves. For example, the total number of waves are split across 3 campaign canvas, with contacts moving from the first campaign to second and then to third.
This is done because the campaign canvas does not allow us to keep scrolling vertically or horizontally.
Is there a better way of handling this?

Your best option is to split these across multiple canvases. I have worked with customers that use the individual campaign in Eloqua as the 'treatment' and, using a campaign hierarchy in their CRM, roll up the results. (hopefully Eloqua puts campaign hierarchies back into the application to allow for this to be done within Eloqua again)
I have done nurture programs like this with an 'Learn/Solve', 'Compare', and 'Purchase' campaign. Each with 5-7 emails and corresponding landing pages.
The canvas gets unwieldy at more than 10 emails with the corresponding wait and decision points.
This also makes reporting a bit easier for reporting on nurture stage.

To the Suggestions Box: Dependent Picklists in Campaign Canvas

I understand that currently dependent picklists don't exist within Campaign Canvas. This would be a great feature to have and would allow us entering accurate and consistent data.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration.You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect.
hen perform these steps:
Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
In the Firefox options window click the Advanced tab, then select "General".
In the settings list, you should find the Use hardware acceleration when available checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

How to change the determination of text procedure for campaigns

Hi all,
we want to have different text determination procedures for our different campaign types.
I checked the customizing, for the text object CGPL_TEXT there are many text determination procedures possible. However, I was not able to figure out where the the textproc is assigned.
The next step was to check the coding, where we found a method in GSTEXT: IF_BSP_WD_TOOLBAR_CALLBACK~GET_BUTTONS. There the textproc is read by typed_context->attr->read_textproc( ). The result is always CPG.
Unfortunately, we were not able to find the place where the attribute is set.
How can we have different textprocs for our campaign types? How and where is the text determination procedure set for campaigns?

You can use span HTML tag.
For example, if your label is "Product Name", and you want it to appear in red, you can type this:

How to stop/deactivate CLC (Credit Limit Check) functionalities for specific country

Dear Experts,
We are working in TM 8.1 which is integrated with ERP system. Currently we do not have any restriction at TM system level to stop processing the order if CLC limit is exceeding. But we are in process of adapting the same with TM 9.1 version.
Now, we are in process of upgrading our ERP system and going pilot live for one country initially. We no more want to process the orders/invoices for which CLC limit is exceeding in the latest ERP system for live country for some time. Therefore our business wanted to deactivate or stop the CLC functionalities for specific country or sales organization within TM system, so that statistical record (Internal order) can not be created in ERP. Thus further processing can not be done in ERP.
Could you please provide some important insights how to achieve the expected?

Thanks for your reply.
I have done the required analysis and arrive at below solution.
Prior to that answering to your question, we are sending CLC to ERP upon activation of FWO. We have a customer specific button 'ACTIVATE' on every FWO UI. Entering CLC amount in Business partner tab is pre-requisite for successful activation of FWO.
Coming to my solution which I have proposed: For sending the CLC to ERP, we have configured a PPF action definition with schedule condition and processing method call. Currently this PPF action definition is executed successfully upon activation of FWO for all.
Here we will put a IF condition on sales organization / country for which we do not want to trigger this action, then if it is satisfied with our expected values we will stop further execution. This way we can avoid action triggering. ( I had already checked in debugging and confirmed the behavior).
I believe, my solution is correct.
Please advice if any other better way of doing it.

Dear Ganesh,
As campaign can be created and executed individually also, it will never check for higher level project ID.
Let me check the system if we can block creation of campaign individually, without having a higher level marketing plan.

Need event or BADI for Campaign in UI.

Hi guys,
when i am creating campaign in UI i am not getting any events in SAP GUI.The problem is i need to trigger workflow for the campaign created in UI.I also searched for BADIS for it.But in UI i couldn't trace any BADIS which run during saving of Campaign.
Please suggest me some ways to find BADIS in UI for Campaign or how will i configure event for Campaign.

fellow the steps
goto to tcode->status->program name->double click on that,
then goto to-> attribute take the package name and
Goto SMOD tcode ->Utilities->give the package name and F8
then a list of exits will display for that tcode as well as that package.
u can check the table MODSAP
u can check the table MODACT
For BADI's,
1)goto to tcode SE24 give the CL_EXITHANDLER and display and then double click on the GET_INSTANCE
keep Break point at this location 'call method cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface'
then the tcode it will trigger there and we can debugg there we can find badi'for that tcode and then remove the break point.
2)Goto to tcode->status->program name->double click on that program will display's
then press crtl+F then cl_exithandler

Swing component for awt.canvas

Hi,
Can anyone tell me the equivalent SWING component for awt CANVAS. I need it because i need to display only Images (nothing else) on it. If anyone can tell how I can do it.

JPanel is the Swing-equivalent of java.awt.Canvas, but if you are just displaying images, you can use the JLabel class, which supports use of images as icons (see also ImageIcon class).

Editing a Wait Step in Campaign Canvas

I have a wait step in Campaign Canvas to wait until a specific date - 5/5/15 at 7am because the email is supposed to go out at that time. If I want to change the send date, can I deactivate the program and then change that wait step to wait until 5/7/15, will there be any issues with people that are currently held in that step? I know in Program Builder it can be tricky editing the Hold steps if there are people currently in that step, but if I'm not waiting a specified number of days, but rather a specific date, should I be OK to go ahead and do that? Or should I just add another wait step after the wait until 5/5/15 instead of editing it?

Yes, you should be fine to de-activate, change the date and re-activate. If you don't trust it, you could always keep the wait step like it is, then pass them into a second wait step with the new date. That way you can even visually see if they move.
Another way to verify is you can click on the green bubble in the corner of the wait step - then scroll all the way to the right, and on the contacts it will tell you when they are waiting until(sometimes you have to adjust the column sizes to be able to see it depending on browser)

Problem obtaining BitmapData for a canvas via Javascript

For my web application I have one HTML button, which is outside of flash application shown on the same page. Via Flex application I've declared callback function to be called by Javascript in this way:
ExternalInterface.addCallback("cbProcessButton", processButton);
For HTML button I have this:

And inital lines of processButton function (which is Flex function) are defined as this:

Now I have problem here. If I call that processButton in this way for my canvas via Javascript - then I get length of jpgStream as 32654 bytes and after save into a file - that jpg file cannot be shown properly.
But if I call the same processButton via a Flex button, which is placed inside my Flex - I get jpgStream in my case of length 33074 bytes and after save to a file - could normally show it later.
I'm using Flex Builder 3 with Flex sdk 3.5.0.12683 installed and later show everything/work via Flash Player v10,1,53,64 installed on WinXP.
Is it known bug/limitation of BitmapData usage in such Javascript scenario? Or is it bad sdk/Flash Player? Are you able to reproduce such in your environment?
I'm really going out of my mind to understand why lengths of encoded data in 2 cases are different. Of course I know about that 2176 Error for other situations dealing with Flex UI, but here I don't get it - so I assume my Javascript scenario is allowed by Adobe so far.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
