EM Error : java.lang.Exception: No Such Target

Hi All
I have 10 databses in the server and getting this error only for the one database " java.lang.Exception: No Such Target "
When i stop dbconsole and start it again then the problem will solve but the within a day or two again the same message is appearing.
What would be the best solution for this?

Which said:
1. Stop the dbconsole
./emctl stop dbconsole
2. Have a back up of the emd.properties file which is in <ORACLE_HOME>/Hostname_SID/sysman/config
Increase the value of
dynamicPropsComputeTimeout=60
to
dynamicPropsComputeTimeout=120
3. Start the dbconsole
./emctl start dbconsole
I follow the instructions and the problem was solved.

java.lang.Exception: No Such Target Message appear to me
Even i log out the log in again . . . It appear
or make the following steps:
closed Browser
empty cache of Browser
start Browser
. . . Also it appear
How can solve it?

Pl post your full OS and database versions. Are you using Grid Control or Database Control ? Do you see any error messages in the logs for GC/DBC ?

Java.lang.Exception: No Such Target - wait_bottlenecks

I am using OEM 11g and getting following error on one of the database environment.
java.lang.Exception: No Such Target - wait_bottlenecks
I have tried few options based on following oracle note, still no success.
I have one node RAC. But there are two instances seen in OEM, one is down.
Also, following error is displayed under database target of OEM: Metric Collection Error
6.3.4 Oracle Enterprise Manager Database Control Error
The Oracle Enterprise Manager Database Control home page may show the following error if the dynamic properties evaluation is not complete:
java.lang.Exception: No Such Target - wait_bottlenecks
Workaround:
Run these emctl commands on the master agent. Go to the cluster database home page and click View All Properties link to identify the master agent host. Recompute dynamic properties for the Oracle RAC instance and Oracle RAC database on the master agent host using the following commands:
emctl reload agent dynamicproperties rac_instance_target_name:oracle_database emctl reload agent dynamicproperties rac_database_target_name:rac_database
If the error persists, then increase the timeout for dynamic properties for the target by editing the emd.properties file located at$ORACLE_HOME/host_dbname/config, and providing a larger value for timeout_value. Increase the timeout value on all the nodes of the cluster. For example:
dynamicPropsComputeTimeout_oracle_database=timeout_value dynamicPropsComputeTimeout_rac_database=timeout_value emctl reload agent emctl reload agent dynamicproperties rac_instance_target_name:oracle_database emctl reload agent dynamicproperties rac_database_target_name:rac_database
This issue is tracked with Oracle bug 12907579.

Error message is same in listener log and EM trace file. Also, same message is repeating in listener log, may be OEM is keep on trying to connect to database.

Java.lang.Exception: No such metric - dbconsole error (RAC DB)

I'm running the database console (10.2.0.1) from one RAC node (2-node cluster), and the agent is running on the second node. WHen I try to load the cluster home page, I receive the following error "java.lang.Exception: No such metric" at the top of the page. The rest of the page looks correct.

Does anyone know what can be the problem? We just migrated to a 10g envrionement and I don't have much experience troubleshooting the OEM dbconsole functionality. Using the browser and migrating to the agent port (3938) - shows working. The upload url shows the XML file receiver is active.

I have a Test-RAC-Sytem (release 11.2.0.3 ) on 2 Linux RH 5.4/X86-64 and managed it with OEM DB Control ( IE9)!
In the Database part I got often the error:

java.lang.Exception: No such metric - wait_bottlenecks I often made the workaround : emctl stop dbconsole & emctl start dbconsole
But I think it is not the real solution, because the error appesrs 1, 2 minutes again.
Can any expert helps me to eliminate this error?

Hi,
Sometimes the DB page shows this error if this is a RAC DB especially. OS just try to configure the DB again using the CONFIGURE button. It resolves the issue.

Hi All,
While listing the keystore using the command keytool -list, I got the error message that
keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Keystore file does not exist: C:\Documents and Settings\subramanian.arivalag\.keystore
I noticed there is no file .keystore in the above mentioned directory. What's this .keystore file? Will it be created automatically or should we create manually?
Already I created a keystore using -genkey command and received CA authority also.
Kindly provide me more details about .keystore file and how to handle this error.

If you specified a keystore filename when you created the keystore
i.e. keytool -genkey -alias jboss-ssl -keyalg RSA -keystore my_name.keystore -validity 3650
then you need to specify the same keystore when you export the cert
i.e. keytool -export -alias jboss-ssl -keystore my_name.keystore file my_name.cer

06) ived a filename.cer certificate.

Importing Root CA into the keystore ServerName.jks

Import the intermediate cert first then the root and then the signed server certificate.
The alias of root and intermediate doesnt matter, but make sure that the alias of server cert is same as the alias of the private key entry.

Thank you Chris... What exactly am I looking for here... I am new to the database that I am supporting and after reviewing the log files, the error began back in 2007-11-30. "IOExecption in sending request :: Connection refused". Also, I see error "Click Patching Setup to set required parameters".

You are not the only one having this issue,
check Oracle 10g R2 Enterprise Manager Web Interface doesn't see the database if it has the solution for you.

I had the same issue yesterday on XP pro 64-bit with 10gR2. I found the Metalink document 351322.1 "Getting 'IO exception: Unknown host specified' while clicking on Administration link from DBConsole" and it points out to the time zone (TZ) difference. As of today, the early daylight change is a mess all over the state and EM agent has starting problems (metalink note 401834.1). I will update this post when I fix the issue on this XP box.
