Email switching to "read" after hovering

While scrolling through new email messages, message switch to "read" even after hovering for just a second, and going back to constantly change back to "unread" is a pain. Can't find how to change this in my settings? Help? Thanks!

More info. It's not RSYNC. My LaCIE USB3 drive that has worked flawlessly as a RW volume decided that it is Read-Only. My trick above does not work. What a pain in the butt this is, and no answers from Apple as to why this happens.

Try deleting your exchange account on your iPhone, then adding it again fresh. I had the same problem when we upgraded servers and this fix worked for me.

Exchange email appears then disappears after one read !!

Since installing OS 3.0 on my iPhone 3G my Exchange email appears then disappears after 1 reading.
To get the emails back I go to the account settings and switch the Mail off (which removes the account and the folder format) then I switch the mail back on then the email are back again !!
(if it can get through to the server, as I often get a Sever error message)
Anybody else seen this problem?
I don't use the Contacts or Calenders as currently through iTunes sync they seem OK.
Note my Yahoo and other POP accounts have no problems.

Problem Solved- Atleast for me
After going through this issue for more than 3 weeks, I was able to find the solution. For me emails continue to disappear but it was totally random. Calendar and Contact also disappeared but not as often as mail.
The problem resides on Exchange OWA server. On IIS I have connection limit of 10 connections which we was causing this problem. After increasing the limit problem is gone.
STEPS
Search the logs under C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\HTTPERR for "503 1 ConnLimit", if you find this line then the solution is to increase the limit.
To do that, go to, IIS Manager, Right click on Default Website (where OWA is hosted), properties and go to Performance tab. Under Website Connections, increase your current limit. Restart IIS Admin and try IPhone mail again.

All resolved at last
Deleted the SMTP setting
Recreated the SMTP using the same settings
Able to send emails now
No logic - as usual - just a bug!

This is a problem between Telus and Yosemite. Telus, of course, blames Apple.
Check the box that says "Allow insecure authentication" That will get your email working.
However, this box will get un-checked when you stop start Mac Mail. The next time you start Mail, you'll have to re-check it for each Telus account. (This is the bit that Apple needs to fix.)

I don't have a signature set up, but did a little research. Someone posted that these will show up when I send an email to myself, but will not show up when sent to another person. I sent a test email to a friend to check for sure.

PI 7.1 IMAP email Adapter Error reading large amounts of emails

are there any known problems with the email-Adapter (Sender), reading IMAP MS Exchange Server?
We have an email adapter reading the MS Exchange Server Mail Account once per Minute and in the mail account are about 4.000 unread email (1KB each) .
After 2000 emails, the adapter stops working and throws only exceptions.
Any idea?

Hi Holger,
i made a few tests at that time, and there was no specific scenario which re-produced this error.
In some tests i was able to process more than 3000 emails before the error occured, next time only 2000.
And this only occured when the inbox had a huge amount of emails. if i moved, lets say 1000 emails to a temporary folder,
processed 1000 and then moved the 1000 back to the inbox, there was no problem. Now i'm polling every minute and i'm
not receiving 2000 emails in a minute, so i'm not having this issue anymore. it only happend when we stopped the
sender channel for a while and a lot of emails were queuing up in the inbox. I don't think that there are any MS Exchange settings that need to be changed and when we spoke to Support that time, they refered to the Note i mentioned earlier.
Maybe there is still a problem in the mail adapter itself..

My MCB Pro keeps booting when I switch it on after a shutdown???

My MCB pro (late 2011) was running perfectly on 10.8.2 for 2 months but yesterday i shut it down and when I shitched it on it kept on booting. After 10-15 minutes i had to switch it off by pressing and holding power switch. this happened again when i switched it on after a while. on the third attempt it started normally. Today the same thing happened and in the second attempt it started. whats happening??
All application were closed when i shut it down. Please suggest??

I suggest that you press and hold the option key whilst restarting your Mac.
Then select the recovery partition.
When it boots, choose disk utility, and verify your hard disk (Macintosh HD or whatever you have renamed it to).

Is this a POP account, or an IMAP account? Did you enable your account type in Gmail?
You can verify whether or not you did (and enable it if you didn't) by logging into Gmail on the web. Then, open the 'Forwarding and POP/IMAP' tab on your 'Settings' page, and configure IMAP. After enabling IMAP in Gmail, make sure you click 'Save Changes' so Gmail can communicate with your mail client.

THANKS! this worked !!!
I hit "DELETE THIS ACCOUNT" on my iphone (this is the Yahoo I tried to set up by "picking" it from the list that the iphone5 gives you) and then confirmed to delete everything.
THEN: while in Mail (still in the Settings Section) I tapped on "ADD ACCOUNT..." but this time tapped on "OTHER" and manually put in my yahoo ID and password and I did not even have to go to the SMTP or IMAP incomming/outgoing stuff at all. But I checked it out under the "ADVANCE" tab and it was already correct for yahoo. (ALMOST SEEMED TOO EASY)
Went to my home screen and tapped on MAIL and my yahoo email loaded up just right!
Now, I have no idea if I have any other issues like if I delete mail on the iphone; does it delete properly on my ipad...etc..etc. but one problem at a time is getting fixed. THANKS!

How can I immediately stop an email from being sent after clicking "send"?
I can't seem to find any info on this. I am assuming that it is impossible. Correct?

When sending the emails with larger attachments that take a little time to actually upload and get out, you can open the activity viewer by pressing command-0 (or is it command-o?--)--it may also be under the window menu at the top--I'm not at my Mac right now to check. The activity viewer has a stop button on it. After you stop it, you should be able to either delete the email from the outgoing mail folder or drag that email to another folder, such as the drafts folder. I've done this a few times without a problem.

If all you get is the Apple logo and it powering off, then the next step is to put your iPhone into recovery mode and then use iTunes to restore it. If you have a back up, then you can put that on there to once the restore is complete.
