Emails delayed

Hi there
I posted a message on the forum entitled ' robbed by bt'.
I got an email back saying that it had been unable to be delivered..but they would try again.
Is that happening to everyone...or just me?
Having terrible time trying to get some money back.
Please advise
Thanks

Well I don't understand what exactly wasn't delivered....maybe an old closed post on this? But I have been contacted by a moderator now so I'm a bit more chilled. As for BT customer Services I really don't know why they pay people to do that job ad they have never resolved anything for me at all. Full of empty promises and lies thank goodness for the forum x.

  • Exchange 2010 Internal Email Delayed for 5 Months

Today I got an email from a user saying she just received an internal email that was sent November 5th 2013. I tried using Exchange Tracking Log Explorer but nothing shows as being received on 11/5/13 and nothing from todays date that matches the Subject.
Here are is the msg header which has been modified to hide our domain. This is a small business with 12 users with SBS 2011. This isn't the first time this has happened either. Another user had email delayed for 3 months.

    Hi
First i really doubt that you would be able to see those transactions in message tracking logs since the default setting is 30 days.
By default the message tracking log is set to 30 days, you can change that setting though through the Shell:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997984.aspx
If this is the case then you can better increase the tracking logs retention for 3 months for the next delay can be recorded.
Also try to see if you could see some information on the protocol logs as well.

  • Sharepoint Online Emails Delayed or Missing

Recently as of (3/20) Emails generated by Sharepoint Workflows have been erratic. Sometimes the emails show up right away, other times the emails are delayed, or simply never some at all. We use Office 365 for our mail and Sharepoint Online. The messages that
are missing do not show up in mail flow as being blocked. The issue started out of the blue with no changes made the the workflows.
I can create and item, have the workflow run, and emails are sent without issue. I can then do another item in the exact same way, and the emails may or may not come. (Approval workflow). The workflow does not encounter any errors.
Has anyone else been having this issue? I find it hard to believe this is and issue only we are encountering, given the problem seems to be on the Sharepoint Online side.
    Thanks!

We are having the same issue. InfoPath forms emails are at times delayed by several hours or more. It is not consistent but it happens enough to raise concern. I am still searching for the answer and called support but could not duplicate it during
    the support call.

  • Email not received and email delayed

My friends tell me that they have sent messages to me that I have not received. The messages bounce back to the sender.  Some messages get through but are delayed as much as 18 to 36 hours.  Sometimes senders will send a message to my wife and me (both @verizon.net)  and only only one of us will receive it.  The sender with the most problems getting their email to us has a @yahoo.com account.  This has been going on for a few weeks.  The problem is the same whether reading messages on webmail, my computer or my iPhone.  What is the problem and how can it be fixed?

I had been in touch with customer support from east to west coast's and very few supervisors are aware of this. One recent week ago, a high level support person said the servers are too few and they are designing and planing to upgrade them but without any complete date. So, the reply was, maybe a few months or a year.
For the time being, they are throttling email speeds to 1.5 down/1.5 up on webmail at all times and via email client software (outlook etc) it will vary depending on time of day. Faster at night, slower in daytime or business hours.
I believe this is decieving to all customers as I'm sure no one is getting any discount on their Fios Internet billing. I have asked for credits however, trouble tickets need to be generated first to make it easy for billing to verify there is a tech issue filed/pending on your account.  I have at least 100 hours of phone time and loss of capacity when it comes to my work due to very slow email speeds, something I rely on for my business. I really don't want to creat a gmail account that is free but unsupported however, will send and recieve emails perfectly fast. Did I mention that was free?  Verizon is charging a portion of the total ISP fee's for their email and news but can't deliver since September 2012.
All I can say is, send written letters to the CEO of Verizon, Lowell C. McAdam:

  • Hotmail email delays

I setup hotmail or live email on my iphone, using the pop3.live.com, and the incoming mail is delayed many times.  It is usually ok, but there are times that the incoming email is delayed a day, folks asking me if they got their emails.  Intermittent.
    How can I fix?
PS>  my other pop accounts are fine, ie. optonline.net

I would suggest you follow the procedure from Techman28. I spoke to people all over Verizon world about this problem and got nowhere. Someone from Network Solutions was able to tell me I was blacklisted which was a blessing because I had no way of knowing. All I knew was some of my emails were delayed for 18 hours and others were never delivered. I am not sure who got mail and who didn't for the last month. My phone became my best friend again because it was the only way I could verify that people were hearing from me.  I like to think I know a bit about this stuff but this is way over my head. Why, how, who, when are all questions I would like to have answered but until Techman came along no one from Verizon was useful. The people I spoke with had very little training and tried to blame me for the problem. I suspect this is much bigger than the 3 of us.

  • Email delays

Is there anyway to troubleshoot mail delay problems?  I'm running 2007 and 2013 in co-existance.  However, I have stopped the transport service on 2007.  Mail flow works fine at times.  However, at other times there is up to a 20 minute
delay in receiving.  Is there a way to troubleshoot this issue?
    Thank you

    Hi There,
Probably looking into intraorgprotocol logs will help you for sure
Run below command to see if the intraorgprotocollogginglevel is enabled or disabled
    Get-Transportservice  “mbx2013servername” |fl*intra*
Run the below command to enable verbose logging in intraorg connector
    Set-Transportservice  CAS2013servername  –intraorgprotocollogginglevel verbose
Below path is the location where we can see the logs recorded.
    <installationdrive\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V15\TransportRoles\Logs\Mailbox\Connectivity
After enabling them send an email from Exchange 2007 server and see the output of the results
Test email sent from Exchange 2007 user to Exchange 2013 user and vice versa for the logs to record
Apart from the above look into the queue viewer in Exchange 2007 server and do a message tracking and see the results

  • Receive email delay one hour using Mac Mail client (Mountain Lion) connect Exchange Server 2010

    Hi all,
My boss use iPhone, iPad, MacBook Air (Mac Mail client), MacPro (Mac Mail client) connect Exchange Serve 2010 to receive emails. All clients are okay except MacBook Air, the Mac Mail client cannot receive the latest emails from Exchange Server, but it can receive (sync) the emails after one hour. The other clients can receive the latest email after Exchange Server receive new emails immediately.
In this period, the MacBook Air can receive the other IMAP, POP3 and webmail from ISP normally. I tried to set 5 mins to check emails or manual check email from Exchange Server. However, the latest email still delay one hour.......... .
I dumped a screenshot for Mac Mail setting for Exchange Server and a Log file.
could anyone help me to solve this issue?
    Thanks

I am not sure what the user has the check for new messages set for but mail does arrive as short as 2 minutes.  It does however arrive on his iphone immediately first.

  • Outgoing Email Delay with Lion Server

    Hi;
I have setup my domain and greylisting disabled in /etc/postfix/main.cf.
It seems that I have 3 messages sitting in the mail queue which cannot be delivered due to being delayed for whatever reason.
I can send email to myself and it's instant.
I am attempting to email to a friend on Rogers Yahoo and Gmail.  It seems that when I try to connect to the MX for each I timeout for some reason.
Any ideas on what could be wrong?  I am assuming that since I cannot connect to the MX for those systems that's why it's delayed.
From what I can see, my server is trying to connect to port 25 on the remote system - as far as I know, those ports are off on Yahoo and GMail.  How can I force it to send to port 587 instead?
    My Server Firewall = Off.

I have same problem with Apple Mail at ATT as ISP. I used the program ATTYahoo!EmailSetup from their website. Now I can rarely send any email, from my work email or from my MobileMe email. I seems like that program messed up the entire Apple Mail client so it can no longer send mail. Emails I try to send just sit the in Outbox. Does anyone have a solution?

  • Internal Email delay

I have a person here in the office that is having issues with internal emails. She will get emails sent by someone in our office (same domain, same email domain) 1 to 2 days late. It doesn't appear to be specific from one sender but random. She is the only
one out of about 100 people who are having this issue. I was able to send her an email and she got it right away so replicating the results is difficult, however she is getting 2 or more emails a day that are a day or so late. Does anyone have any ideas? Our
setup is 2 exchange mailbox data base servers, two CAS servers and we are running Exchange 2010. The user with the problems is running Windows 7 with Outlook 2010.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I recommend you use message tracking to check if the message was delivered to the recipient with any delay.
In addition, let the user disable the virus software on the client PC, and try to use outlook safe mode and online mode. Check if the issue still occur.
    Thanks.

  • Email delay problem in SCOT

    Hi All,
I have configured email functionality in our SAP system thru
SCOT which is based on SMTP. I have scheduled the batch job "SAPCONNECT
ALL SEND" every five minutes. But the problem is that the mails which
we are sending from that server are not delivering instantly. We can
see the mails in the waiting queue. But those are delivers after
unacceptable delay. Could you please advice.
    Thanks in advance.
    Harish

    Hi Sergo,
Thanks very much for the prompt reply. I hav already scheduled this job every 5 minutes.
But the good news is that this problem has been resolved. This problem was due to different time zone (system's and user's).
Any way thanks once again for the reply.

  • Single email delay

Hello, all my emails typically arrive within a few minutes. However, one company sends me emails and they arrive 24-40 hours after. At the same time I am still sending and receiving emails instantaneously to others. Is this something to do with my server or theirs? It seems odd that it only happens to one particular email address. Is there any report they should receive to suggest the delay because it has resulted in me missing deadlines. Thanks,

Examine the long headers of the mail. You will find a couple of "Received:"-headers. These are to be read from the bottom to the top. Each server involved in sending that mail to you puts in a timestamp. Please note the timezones given in that timestamp.
Using these headers you easily can find out where the delay comes from.
The basic syntax of such a received-header is:
    Received: from <server which forwarded the mail> by <server which received the mail> with <software used> <timestamp>

  • Why is email delayed since iOS 6?

My gmail has always received messages right away when sent to me, notifications pop right up.  Since the upgrade, my email seems to come 15 minutes late now.  I sent myself an email at 9:00 AM, it popped up at 9:15 but showed a time in the inbox of 9AM.  All settings are still the same, yet the emails are very very late now.  Any fix for this?  My settings are PUSH for email too.  Kinda annoying me getting important work messages 15 minutes late.

I was having this trouble with Gmail as well, incredibly frustrating seeing emails appear immediately on my computer and tablet and having NOTHING come through the phone.  Searched through the comment boards and found this link re setup and Gmail is now working perfectly.  Not sure if this fix will work for you but figured I'd pass it along!  My problem, apparently, was that I setup Gmail as Gmail instead of setting it up as a Microsoft Exchange account.  I deleted the initial Gmail account setup and set it up again as they advised and am now getting emails immediately; no more delay!

  • Nokia Lumia 620 Email delays

    Hi,
I am having problems with receiving my emails around 10-20 minutes late on my 620.  I have an Exchange AS account running off Exchange 2010, and a Gmail account. Both are set to receive mail as items arrive. Does anyone have any ideas if this is a known issue?
It's becomming a running joke for the iPhone users, "Oh, you just got that email now?"
I am running the latest version of the Firmware on Telus. 1030.6407.1308.0001
    Thanks
    Ryan

Can only speak for myself, but both outllook.com and exchange mail arrives virtually instant for me..

  • CRES email delay

Is anyone else having an issue with encrypted email responses? An example is you send a CRES email to a user. They get the email in the normal amounnt of time but when they open the email and respond it takes a abnormal amount of time to receive the response? I did a test this morning sending an email to myself and I still haven't received the response. It's been over an hour.
There also seems to be something messed up with a listener that was created. This listener would prevent response to encrypted emails from being put back in aCRES envelope. This was great because wouldn't have to go through the login process to read responses to encrypted emails you've sent. This is no longer working.

Here is the traffic from the last one.
